Dark POV
Startled and surprised I looked at the person, but before I could ask them something Sombra spoke before me. "Galaxy? How did you get here?", rolled it over the lips of the god. Shocked I stared back and forth between the two. Galaxy laughed briefly before he answered: "When the seal was broken Mason and my soul separated from the destroyed pieces and escaped into Marks and Darks bodies. We had an idea why we should do that too. It's because we have an idea how we can free you from this prison." Astonished Sombra and I looked at each other shortly before he turned our eyes back to Galaxy.
"Insanity may have the upper hand over your souls and Dark's body at the moment, however, we can destroy his grip on you. If someone from outside uses a separation spell on Insanity, while we also use our strength from the inside, he can't keep us held in here. He has to choose which attack he is stopping.", the Demon Side explained to us. I thought for a moment and said: "So we have to wait for Luxilia and my friends to launch an attack at him." "Yes, it does. However, we have to wait for the right time, otherwise, we would use too much power before the right time and can't escape anymore.", came it from Galaxy. I had to sigh and leaned against the wall tiredly. //That's just brilliant. Hopefully this plan works out.//, I thought to myself and closed my eyes.
Mark POV
Jack and I woke up relatively quickly the next morning and we got ready to go back to school in a few minutes. When we got there we saw our other friends by the entrance, who immediately ran up to us and embraced me. //They all were really worried about my well-being.//, I thought to myself and hugged them back. After we parted from each other, we all went to Mister Courtois's office. There the brown-haired rector waited for us and indicated to us that we should sit down. The older man sighed and told us: "At the moment things don't look so good for us. We have received a lot of reports that the demons start running amok and some areas are getting destroyed with every attack. At the moment we can still stop the attacks, but as soon as our fighters get weaker and more tired, since they can't recover fully after each attack, we will soon have more severe problems. Our city is still destroyed and only a quarter was already rebuilt. Luxilia also has to recover, because she split her soul again in order to keep Mark alive."
My friends looked at me shocked and amazed. To show them that it was true, I hold up the chain I got from Luxilia. "What is our plan now Mister Courtois?", asked Caro and looked at the old man seriously. He sighed and said: "I have no idea. But if your assumption is correct and Mason is inside of Mark's body now, we could ask him if he has an idea." Before I could even ask Mason, he took control over my body.
Mason POV
When I took over Mark's body, our appearance changed completely. His red coloured hair changed blue and his brown eyes turned into my green ones. "The assumption is correct Mister Courtois. It's nice to see you again.", I said and smiled at the old man. He smiled back and looked at me with a questioningly look afterwards. After I took a short breath I began to explain: "You were right that I have an idea what we can do. I'm still a bit connected with Galaxy, but it's quite tiring and I can't maintain it for long. However, what my partner could tell me was the following. Dark wasn't taken over by Sombra. He was taken over by Insanity. ... Sombra wasn't even the one who initiated the war. He didn't even wanted one. He was tricked by Madness and Insanity into trusting them before they betrayed him. Insanity has used an ancient spell to steal his body and strength, while he also held the god of shadows prisoner in his soul. The same thing happened to Dark now."
"My brother ... is trapped.", sounded Luxilia's voice from behind us and we turned around to face the goddess, who had tears streaming down her cheeks. Worried I stood up and walked over to her, before I hugged her tightly. The goddess of light hold tightly onto me and cried for a while into my shoulder. I could understand her well. All these years she had thought her brother hated her and wanted more power, however, he had just been a puppet and never wanted this to happen. After the goddess had calmed down again, we sat down in our chairs and I continued talking: "There is a way to free them from their prison. However, it requires good timing and determination." They all looked at me eagerly and Mark listened carefully in our shared mind.
"First of all we have to find Insanity to make this work. Then we need to weaken him and use a separation spell on his soul to get it out of Dark's body. However, the other half of the plan has to be performed by Dark, Sombra and Galaxy. Insanity is strong enough to resist the magic of the separation spell, but if the three start to break out of his grip at the same time with their strength, he is cornered. He can't prevent both things. Either he allows that we separate his soul from Dark' body or he lets his prisoners escape with their own strength.", I explained to them. They all seemed to understand the plan and nodded in agreement. Shortly after we discussed everything else, before I went with Jack, Caro and Luxilia to the library, while the rest of the group decided to help the people that are rebuilding the city. We sat down in the most hidden corner of the big room. Gently it came from Luxilia: "It is wonderful to see you again Mason."
"I feel the same way Luxilia. It's good to be back. Even if the circumstances aren't great.", I answered and looked at her with a smile. Caro was holding my hand happily and seemed to be lost in her thoughts. Meanwhile, Jack looked at me in amazement and I asked: "You would like to have Mark back here. Right?" Startled Jack flinched a little before he nodded in embarrassment. I laughed briefly and thought for a while. "Well, Mark's body does think at the moment that I'm a replacement for Dark. Which I'm of course not, since I can never replace another person. However, I think that I can separate from his body like a Demon Side. I haven't tried it yet but it should work.", I said and concentrated. After a brief second a flash of light appeared and I felt slightly different then before. Only after a bit I remembered that this is how it felt to be separated from someone's Demon Side.
Jack sat up happily and hugged Mark, who was now standing next to me. Meanwhile, Caro had sat down on my lap and kissed my cheek sweetly. //God how much I missed her.//, I thought to myself and held her tightly to my chest. Luxilia watched us with a smile but didn't say anything. //Does gods have soulmates too?//, I wondered, but didn't asked the goddess. After a while we said goodbye to each other. Luxilia went back to Mister Courtois to discuss our plan. Mark and Jack wanted to have some time alone in the school yard to catch up on the time they were separated from each other. Caro and I did nearly the same thing, however, we decided to walk around the area. After a while we had arrived in the forest behind the school and stood in a very familiar location. Caro asked cautiously: "Can you remember this place?"
"I can. I proposed to you at this place. A week before we marched towards Demon Mountain.", came it from me and I walked towards a stone, which lit up when I touched it and a magical hiding place opened. With a smile I reached in there and pulled out a box from the hiding place. Caro smiled and looked at me with love filled eyes. Quietly I took her hand in mine and made her sit down on the stone. Then I knelt down on one knee and opened the box. Happily and a bit amused it rolled over my lips: "I already asked you once, but you meant I should asked you again after the war. That's why I'm asking again. Caroline Silverwood, will you make me the happiest man in the world by marrying me?" The brown-haired had tears streaming down her cheeks. "Yes, I will marry you.", rolled it over her lips in a joyful voice and she had the biggest smile I had ever seen on her face. I happily put on the golden and silver ring with a blue diamond and a few smaller ones on her finger and kissed her lovingly.
(Here is a bit of slight smut. Nothing to much. It's more just making out and slowly getting more heated. Just stop when it gets to much for you. There is nothing important in these last paragraphs.)
Mark POV
Jack and I walked for a while through the school grounds until we got to the fountain of the school. With a sigh my boyfriend sat down with me on the edge of the fountain. With a kiss to his forehead, I pulled my soulmate close to me by his waist. Jack and I cuddled for a while and enjoyed this quiet moment between us. We had to catch up on a lot of things because of how long we hadn't seen each other. My boyfriend nuzzled his head affectionately against my neck and shoulder. With a smile I hold his right hand with my left one and placed it over my heart. My soulmate kissed my cheek and looked at me with love filled eyes. Jack and I shared little lovely gestures. We sat there for almost an hour and at the moment I was kissing all over my boyfriend's neck gently.
My boyfriend moaned lightly, enjoying the feather-light kisses. Eventually I had enough and picked my soulmate up. Afterwards I ran with him back to our apartment. When we arrived I let Jack back down on the floor and pulled him with me to my room. Shortly after I pushed Jack on my bed and climbed over him. With a grin I kissed him roughly and let my hands wander around under his shirt. My boyfriend moaned into the kiss and grabbed my shirt. Then he placed his right leg around my waist and suddenly he changed our positions. Surprised I looked up at Jack and saw a large grin on his lips. With a seductive voice he whispered in my ear: "Oh no, this time I'm going to spoil you. Or rather, punish you a little bit, because you've been gone for so long." I swallowed after he had said these words to me and was now really excited to see what he was going to do.
Jack kissed me afterwards and I had to close my eyes when he went under my shirt with his hands. A soft moan slipped out of me and my boyfriend licked over my lips to ask for entrance. After a few seconds I opened my mouth and my tongue immediately greeted Jack's. I wrapped my arms around his neck and stroked through his short and soft hair. Jack smiled into the deep kiss and pinched me in the sides, which made me squeak loudly. A few seconds later Jack broke away from the kiss and stood up. "You stay right there. I'll just get something. If I see that you've moved, I'll punish you even harder.", he said to me and the way his voice sounded, I couldn't disobey his order. After only a short time my soulmate came back with a box and placed it on my bedside table.
Out of the box he pulled out handcuffs from it. While Jack took off my shirt, it rolled over his slightly red lips: "Time to have a little fun, sweety." My breathing was getting faster and I wanted to pull my boyfriend in a new kiss, but he stopped me and grabbed my hands before he chained them to the bed. Jack wiggled his finger and shook his head. "No, not today. You're doing nothing this time. Let me do everything.", he whispered to me in a sexy voice and licked over my chest. My body twitched with anticipation and my hands pulled at the handcuffs. My soulmate was totally amused over my actions and kissed me again. Immediately, I melted into the kiss and moaned softly. I could hardly wait for what is going to happen to me and I felt my heart beating against my chest.
