If it weren’t for Kate, Luke and I probably wouldn’t have spoken to each other at all. But the next day after we met, Kate set up a lunch for us in a very public restaurant for paps to get some good pictures of us. I texted luke that I would meet him there because I was not that keen on a car ride with him. I threw on my favorite flannel, ripped jeans, and my over used black booties for the date
I was spotted outside of the restaurant by a mix of my fans and his which both greeted me with open arms. I took multiple pictures and talked to almost all of them confirming my relationship with Luke. Meeting my fans always put me in a good mood. When I saw Luke I smiled and he gave me a weird look because of how different I acted from yesterday and today
"Did you meet the fans outside? They’re so sweet, I can’t believe we both have such amazing people supporting us-" I started rambling but cut myself off when i realized that he basically hated my guts
I cleared my throat and awkwardly opened the menu but I could still feel his eyes burning a whole through me
"Stop staring at me go look at the menu are the paps taking pictures?" I asked trying to change the subject
"Yeah they’re trying to hide behind that bush over there," Luke said pointing across the street. The only other words spoken at our little date were to order the food. We were almost finished with our meal when I got a text from Kate
"Hold hands, do something, you two are the most boring couple in the world!" She texted. I sighed and showed my phone to Luke
"So what? Do we hold hands or something?" Luke groaned
I grabbed Luke’s hand from across the table and continued my meal
"Has anyone ever told you how large your hands are?" I asked playing with his fingers. My hands were tiny compared to his.
"Well you know what they say about big hands," he smirked
"An even bigger ego," I said making him laugh
"Alright that was a good one," he praised me as our check was dropped off at our table
"So you’ll pay your half and I’ll pay mine," I said taking my wallet out
"No, I have to look like the gentleman here even if this is a fake date," he said taking his bills out of his wallet
"Thanks for the fake date Luke," I said standing up from my seat
"Walk you to your car for the cameras?" Luke asked
"Are you sure? I don’t think you want an even longer walk to yours," I said
"I took a taxi actually I don’t really- have my license," he said quietly
“Alright pretty boy let’s go I’m giving you a ride,” I said grabbing his hand and leading him out of the restaurant. We both came out and spent a long time talking to our fans. It was always such a great experience to be able to speak to our supporters. We were outside for almost an hour before more fans start to come and it started to form a larger crowd. We were eventually ushered out by police because of the commotion. Luke was staying at a hotel so I planned on dropping him off in the back because he said he would be less crowded but when we were there there were at least 50 girls surrounding my car. I had girls banging on my windows trying to get a glimpse of Luke and I
“I feel like I’m gonna run someone over if I try to get out of here,” I said looking around my surrounded vehicle
“You wanna come up to my hotel room?” Luke offered
“I mean to like- to wait it out,” he stuttered
“Uh sure,” I agreed not willing to stay trapped in my car for any longer. Luke came out first greeting his fans and rushed over to my side to open the door for me. He helped me out of the car and placed his hand around my waist to lead me to the door. I had girls screaming in my ear and one bumped into me a little too hard and I felt Luke’s grip on my waist tighten and he held me closer to him as we entered the hotel. I thought it was cute how he got protective so quickly. When we entered the hotel he let his hand fall back to his side and we went up the elevator to his room. He stayed at the tenth floor but the elevator stopped at the fourth. Two girls who looked about 15 entered with us and squealed.
“You two are the cutest couple in the world!” One of them said
“Can we take selfies with the both of you please?” The other one asked
“Of course!” I smiled intertwining my fingers with Luke’s and leaning into him to get in the photo with them. The two girls got off on the eighth floor. I was about to release my grip from Luke’s hand once we were both alone again but he kept a straight face looking straight in front of him and held a tighter grip not wanting to let go. I let out a small smile and casually placed my other hand around his bicep. We got to his hotel room and I felt like I could finally let myself go. We were both in private and didn’t have any cameras on us for once. I kicked off my heels and took off my jacket and fell onto his bed
"Make yourself at home?" Luke laughed grabbing the remotes and laying next to me
"Sorry, it’s just nice not having anyone else watching you ya know?" I sighed
"Yeah yeah I get it, it gets a little overwhelming sometimes," He replied flipping through the channels. In an instant How I Met Your Mother went on the screen and I lit up like a candle
"That one! Don’t change it!" I said pointing at the tv
"You like this show?" Luke asked in disbelief
"I love it! Is that dorky? I don’t know I started watching it on netflix and I still haven’t met their mother," I laughed
"LUKE!" I heard a voice banging through his door
"HOW WAS THE DATE?!" Another voice yelled
"ISN’T SHE EVEN HOTTER IN PERSON!" A third voice yelled
"Can I get that?" I asked as he stood up from the bed
"Go ahead," He laughed
I slowly opened the door and all 3 of the boys looked at me wide eyed
"Calum, Ashton, Michael?" I asked confused still remembering them from the other day
"You know them?" Luke asked
"I met them yesterday, I didn’t- I didn’t know you guys were in, jesus it makes so much sense now!" I said putting these pieces together

"So this is 5 Seconds of Summer," I said looking at all of them
"These are my bandmates who also happen to be obsessed with you," Luke chimed in earning a hard smack on the arm from Calum
"The bandmates who have me legally binded to you for three whole months?" I asked
Luke nodded
"Good job guys," I joked patting Luke on the chest
"Come in lads I know you all want to," Luke said pulling all three of them inside
The three of them sat on the couch and Luke and I were situated on the bed watching tv. Even though Calum, Michael, and Ashton were sitting behind us, I could still feel them staring at me
"I’m going to be with Luke for at least three months so I think we should get this awkward staring thing over with and be friends," I blurted out turning to face them
"Uh- we…we weren’t staring we were just observing silently," Ashton said trying to come up with an excuse
"I mean maybe we took one too many glances but," Michael backed him up
"Eh yeah yeah okay we were staring," Calum admitted
My phone rang and it was Kate calling. I stood out on the balcony to take the phone call privately.
"Jojo hows your love life?" Kate asked
"It’s going fine Kate," I breathed looking out into the view
"Is it really? Are you really trying or are you just pushing him away because we really need this thing to work out Josie," Kate said
"I’m in his hotel room right now actually hold on," I opened the balcony door and called Luke over
"Talk to Kate," i said handing the phone over to him
"Yeah-yup everything is fine Kate" Luke said
"Yes we do have one tomorrow morning," he continued
"Sure no problem, alright I’ll talk to you later okay bye Kate," Luke finished before hanging up
"You have one what tomorrow morning?" I asked
"A radio interview that you’re going to," Luke said hesitantly rubbing the back of his neck
I let out a small sigh before looking over the balcony to the front of the hotel. The crowd of girls began to die down as the sun began to set so I decided it was my time to leave
"Okay I’ll be there," I groaned walking back into the hotel room
"I’m gonna be on my way now guys I’ll see you all tomorrow morning," I said putting my jacket back on and putting on my shoes
"You’re coming to the interview?" Calum asked
I nodded earning a small cheer from the boys which made me laugh
When I got home, I finally checked my twitter. My notifications were exploding. Pictures of Luke and I from these past few days were everywhere and more and more people wanted to know about our relationship. I didn’t know what to expect, but I could’ve never predicted this type of outcome from a new boyfriend. I knew tomorrow was gonna be different, but I had no idea whether that would be a good thing or something out of a nightmare.
