Lillian ran after Henry who was riding on his bike. They passed Emma who greeted them but they went by her like she wasn't even there.
''The storm! Would my book still be here?'' Lillian and Henry both started to dig in the ground near the castle.
''Why would you hide it here? Hiding it under your mattress wasn't good enough?'' Lillian shook her head and opened the small suitcase.
''That is the first place she would look for it.'' Henry explained to his mother while Lily got the book out of the suitcase and flipped through the pages.
''Then why not leave it with me or Lillian?'' Lily put the book back and started to throw the sand over it again.
''Too predictable. And she doesn't come here any-''
''Henry! What are you doing here? You are supposed to be with Archie. Of course he is with you, Henry, car. Now.'' Lillian looked up to the mayor and dusted her pants before standing next to Emma.
''Isn't it your job to look after him?'' she shook her head and smirked.
''These hours aren't my working hours Regina.'' Regina sighed and tilted her head, looking back at the blond woman.
''You let him play here? Can you fix his scull if something in here falls on him? Take some responsibility and don't let him be here anymore.'' She glanced at Lillian and Emma again before walking away to her car, turning back one more time.
''Don't let your feeling cloud your judgement. Both of you.'' She then stepped in the car and drove away.
''She is beginning to work on my nerves even more.''
-----------------------------Once upon a time-------------------------------
The dark Lilith fell to the ground on the island that bloody shadow brought her to.
''A girl? That is something new.'' She looked up to see a tall boy looking at her. She frowned and brought herself to her knees. He eyed her and rook a step towards her while he tilted his head at her.
''Where the bloody hell am I, and why am I here?'' He offered his hand and pulled her onto her feet.
''You're in a place called Neverland, why the shadow brought you here, I have no clue. Pan must have something up his sleeve.'' She tilted her head, she heard of the infamous Peter Pan before but she never had the change to actually meet him in person. The boy then grabbed her arm, it took her by surprise and she started to heat her arm up. He screamed in pain and looked at his burning hand.
''Magic... I'll be sorry for this than.'' He hit her on her head, letting her fall to the ground, unconscious.
She woke up a few minutes later, a boy looking over her.
''It's about time you woke up love.'' Lilith rose to her feet in a matter of seconds, sending a fireball at the boy looking at her. He simply moved his hand, making the fireball disappear. She looked with shock at the boy before she fell to the ground, gasping for air. She put her hands over her lungs, as soon as they started to glow she was able to breathe again. She looked up to the green eyes staring at her.
''Why am I here!?'' She demanded. The boy smirked and brushed his hair with his own hand. He then walked up to her and lifted her face.
''You have fire... I like fire. I once told you that you belonged here, that you belonged to me. And I'm going to make you remember.'' Lilith looked at him, tilted her head and frowned.
''What the bloody hell are you talking abo-'' She wasn't able to finish her sentence as it was interrupted by finger on her lips.
''All in it's time love, all in it's time.''
----------------------------------Once upon a time-------------------------------
Lillian was at the pawn shop when her phone rang.
''Henry? What's going on? Henry... slow down please. Okay, okay, I'm on my way.'' She quickly put her phone back in her back pocket, got her coat on and made her way to the castle.
Lillian was feeling worse and worse every single day. Henry and herself had been copying the story book at Granny's. Lily knew most of the stories by heart. The one of Peter Pan, Lilith, Snow white, Little Red riding hood, the evil queen and most importantly, Rumpelstiltskin. She put the first story away and started to work on her own story when August joined them.
''What are the two of you working on?'' Lillian ignored him and continued to write about Rumple and herself.
''No time to talk, I have to write this down before I forget it. It's not my idea's, they are stories from a book I lost.'' August gave a soft nod in response and looked at Lillian's story.
''So if you'll excuse us...'' Lillian added, but August didn't seem like he was leaving any time soon.
''Must be hell of a book, what is it about?'' Henry raised his shoulders and took another paper.
''Stuff.'' August chuckled and Lillian took one final glance at her paper before putting it in her back pack.
''Sounds exciting.'' Lillian tilted her head and glanced at him.
''You seem awfully interested in my brother and his book.'' August smiled at her like he knew something.
''Just being neighborly, you are my neighbor after all.''
''What are you doing in Storybrook? You can write anywhere so what are you doing here?'' August smirked.
''Stuff... good luck with the book.'' Lily's gaze followed him outside and she sighed, throwing her head into her hands.
''There is something about him, but I just can't put all of the clues together.'' Henry turned back to is baby sitter and smiled at the stories.
''You really know every single one, don't you?'' She chuckled and nodded.
''Well, I've lived them.''
Lillian hadn't heard from Emma in a few days. She was starting to get worried about the blond, she had a natural ability to work herself into something very dumb. Lily and Gold were sitting in the council meeting with a few others when Regina started to talk.
''This session of the Storybrook council meeting will come to order. We will begin by reading the minutes of our last meeting.'' Lillian had a small pamflet in her hands and turned to Gold, but before she could say anything she heard Sidney.
''Uhm, excuse me, um, madam mayor. I have something i'd like to bring to the council's attention?''
''This is not an open forum, Sidney. And no one on this council is interested in hearing the boozy complains of a disgraced reporter. Now sit down.'' Lillian quickly turned her head to Emma and tried to shake her head no. But before Emma could even see the teenager she stood up from her seat.
''He's not the only one who has something to say. Your mayor is stealing thousands of dollars from the city to build a second home.''
''Ms. Swan, you will sit down immediately, or so help me --.'' Lillian tried to get Emma's attention but she would not even face the teenager. Lily took a big sigh and slummed down into her seat. This woman would just not listen to anyone.
''What? You'll punish me? You'll bully me like everyone else in this town? No. Not today. In my hand, I am holding documents proving that this woman, your mayor, stole funds from the city To build herself a lavish home in the woods. And this disgraced reporter, you wanna know how he was really fired? Because he stood up to her. Because he questioned her. We all know what happens to people who questions the mayor.'' Lillian had finally gave up on trying to silent Emma, she was so done with Snow's daughter that she wanted to rip her heart out and give it to Rumple.
''You claim that you act in the best interest of all of us, but that isn't the truth, is it? The truth is that you are a thug. That doesn't care about anyone or anything but yourself. That is who you really are, and it's time for the people of Storybrook to know that.'' Regina gave a warm smile to Emma before standing up.
''You are right miss Swan. I am building a house. A playhouse. The accusations are true, I did take city funds. I wanted to build a playground so my son Henry and his friend Lillian, and all the children of Storybrook could have a special place to play. Safely.'' Lillian looked up when she heard her own name, a lot of people turned to her and she gave a soft smile. She heard Regina talk about it at home but she knew Emma was set up to do all of this.
''As for the sketch in your hands, it was inspired by a drawing I found. In one of my son's books. So, there you have it miss Swan. You've exposed me for who I really am. I hope you're satisfied.'' Emma's gaze landed on Lillian who shot daggers out of her eyes and shook her head at Emma. She left with Gold after the meeting and ran after Emma, Gold closely behind.
''Look at her, queen of the castle. You know, what you did in there was commendable, Miss Swan. But if you really want to bring her down you are going to need a strong ally.''
''Like yourself? Thanks, but i'm still not interested.''
''You've seen what we've accomplished so far. What a small teenager has accomplished so far. I hope you realize what all of this will do to your relationship with Henry. And your relationship with me, cause you don't listen to me. Clearly you seem to think that you have it all under control. While you most certainly do not.'' Lillian spit out at her while Emma took a step back and her mentor placed a hand on her shoulder.
''Oh, one can wish.'' He took her by the arm and they both left the blond woman stunned. Lillian and Henry were at the playground when they saw Emma in her car.
''Why are you so far away? Come over here.'' Emma seemed to think for a while until she saw Lily walking up behind Henry and placing her hands on his shoulders.
''Sorry kid, I can't. Not today.''
''You're undercover, aren't you, for operation Cobra?''
''No Henry, i'm not undercover. Your mom... she doesn't want us seeing each other for a while.'' Lillian could have sworn that Emma looked at her when she said the word mom. She knew that Regina must have said it herself as well, but at least the savior finally got the memo.
''You don't have to listen to her.''
''Actually, this time I do. I screwed up Henry, I got mad at your mom about you and the book and everything and... Well, we're just gonna have to be apart for a little while.''
''I don't want to be apart.''
''Neither do I, but right now, we have to. Don't worry, i'll find a way back in. And hey, if it's out there, Henry, I will find your book.''
''Good luck.'' Henry answered back before Lillian bend down to the walkie talkie.
''It's probably long gone, and it's not coming back.''
She then turned it off and hugged Henry while Emma drove away from the woods.
A lot of tension between Lillian and Emma, will they be okay or is Henry's love splitting them apart? I hope you enjoyed this chapter, please leave a vote, comment or a suggestion.
