Lillian was baby-sitting Henry that afternoon. She was sitting next to him while she was still eating her lunch with Henry reading a comic book.
''Now, I know you think otherwise but I don't enjoy these Saturday council meetings. Sometimes they are just unavoidable. You know the rules?'' Lillian nudged Henry who put his comic book down.
''Yes on homework, no on TV and stay inside.'' Regina smiled and walked up to him.
''Good boy, now... under no circumstances you will leave this house. Or there will be consequences.'' Henry looked up to his adoptive mom and frowned.
''You mean don't go to see my mom?'' Regina let out a loud breath and looked down at Henry while Lillian put another spoon full of her lunch into her mouth.
''She's not your mother. She's just a woman passing through.'' She walked out the door saying she'd be back at five o'clock. Lillian counted the seconds in her head. Seven entire seconds before henry jumped up.
''She's gone. Let's go.'' He grabbed his backpack and Lillian stared at her lunch.
''Can I eat first?'' He shook his head and grabbed her hand.
''No, come on!'' Lillian got dragged around by Henry until they reached Mary Margret's place. As he pulled her onto the stairs he stopped in front of the door and opened it without knocking.
''Hey Emma I was thinking we-'' He stopped in his tracks and Lillian almost walked into him. She glanced over his dark hair to see her adoptive father with Emma.
''Hello Henry.'' Lillian's boss smiled at Henry while he just stared at him.
''How are you doing?'' Lily raised an eyebrow.
''Gold? What are you doing here?'' She then saw the red line on his head and stepped around Henry towards him.
''What the hell happened?'' She brushed her hand over the place making Gold shut his eyes for a second and brushing her hand away, telling her he'd tell her later.
''Good... give my regards to your mother and.'' He stared a the door, glancing back at Emma.
''Goodluck miss Swan. I'll see you in a few hours Lillian.'' She nodded and turned back to Henry and then at all of the boxes.
''This is all you brought?'' Henry looked around as well and laughed.
''Henry, what are you doing here?'' She turned accusing eyes onto his baby-sitter.
''Why did you bring him here?'' Lillian looked at her before turning to Henry.
''You try to stop him.'' Smirking when Emma raised her shoulders as if she was saying 'fair enough.'
''My mom is gone till five. I thought we could hang out.'' Emma looked over to her son before smiling at him.
''I wish I could kid. But there is something I need to do.'' Lily shut the door behind her and turned back to the ten year old and his mother before turning back to the staircase and ran downstairs with them.
''Who are you after?'' Emma put a box down with a huff.
''Ashley.'' Lillian froze in her spot, she couldn't just let Rumple take Cinderella's child. It was hers, of course she'd warn her years back but it was just a little too... cruel.
''Please let us help?'' Henry asked his mom with pleading eyes before he jumped up and pouted his upper lip.
''No, it could be dangerous.'' Henry laughed at the statement and clapped his hands together.
''The pregnant maid is dangerous?'' Emma tilted her head and let a deep breath escape her.
''She assaulted Mr. Gold. This isn't a game Henry she is desperate.'' Henry frowned while Lillian pulled him up.
''Let's do something about that.''
''What? No there is no let's. you can not come with me.'' Henry raised his head while Lillian just put her head into her neck, groaning.
''Then I'll look for her myself, and Lils will help me.'' Lily put her head back in a frown.
''I will?'' Emma just simply shook her head and smirked while crossing her arms.
''Then I'll bring you back.''
''And you wouldn't be helping the maid.'' Lillian reminded her.
''I'm just trying to be the responsible one here!'' Emma yelled in stress.
''And I'm just trying to spent time with my mom.'' Henry said, mimicking her voice.
''And I'm just trying to stay out of this.'' Lillian mocked them. The mother-son duo looked back at the teenage girl who simply smirked at them. Emma groaned out in defeat as she opened her door and slid onto the car, Lillian and Henry following her suit.
''So the maid, what's her story?''
--------------Once upon a time------------
Lily was eight when she had no family left. Her mother died when she was two, her father died when she was six. She had a brother but he sold her out to two men, he'd always hated her. It was no secret that he was going to sell her as a slave. She was running on her little legs, away from the two men when she tripped and one of the man pulled her over his shoulder.
''Let go of me! Let go of me!'' She hit his back with her fists and his chest with her feet.
''Rumpelstiltskin I summon thee!'' She yelled out before a gag was put into her mouth. She tried to struggle as he put her on a horse.
''Quit the struggling! It'll be easier-''
''Ooh! How right you are dearie!'' Lilith looked up to the voice when she saw a man who continued to talk.
''Now, what ever are you two gentleman doing to that sweet, little girl?'' Lillian stared at the man with tears in her eyes. Both from fear and physical abuse.
''Leave, dark one. This is none of your concern.'' The man tilted his head to the right and glanced at the bound and gagged little girl. Her eyes twinkling with a terrified look.
''Well, as the little girl summoned me, and pronounced my name correctly, mind you dearie!'' he sent the little girl a wink before smiling a little bit at her.
''I do believe that this has become my concern.'' Without giving him an answer he pushed the little girl off the horse, making her fall face first into the dirt, wincing a little bit as her skull hit the ground. Smiling serenely Rumpelstiltskin looked at her when she lifted her head at him with teary eyes.
''Do you want to go with these man sweetheart?'' she shook her head as fast as she could, making her tears fall of her face.
''Then I have my answer dearie.'' He looked at the man and smirked.
''You might want to close your eyes.''
-------------Once upon a time----------------
''So, you think her ex-boyfriend has something to do with this?'' Ruby was stacking all of the dishes before she looked at Lillian who looked like she was about to throw up.
''uh, that would mean that he was involved with her in any way. And he wasn't or better said, isn't.'' Lillian nodded but turned her face to the table.
''He dropped her flat on her arse right after they found out that she was going to have a baby.'' She explained Emma with her British accent when she said 'arse.' She then leaned against the doorway of the dinner, listening to Ruby who continued the story.
''Hasn't spoken to her since. Like I said he is a real hey, hey, hey!'' Ruby broke off, running to Bill.
''Bill watch out.'' She continued to talk to Bill so Emma turned back to Henry and Lillian.
''Uhm, what about her family?'' Lillian shook her head.
''She has two step-sisters but she doesn't really talk to them. Just like her step-mom.'' Henry turned to Lillian with a confused look.
''Wait, she had a step-mom, two step-sisters and she is a maid?'' Emma turned to him while Ruby leaned on her car.
''Not now Henry.''
''Listen, I don't know what you heard about everyone thinking she can't do it but... she really is trying. She is taking classes, taken extra shifts in the night to pay everything...'' Emma nodded.
''I know.'' Ruby looked at Emma with a look of disapproval.
''You should just stay out of it.'' Emma shook her head while her blue eyes went to Henry.
''I've been there as well. And I am trying to help her.'' Lillian put her arms around Henry and looked over to Emma.
''Then try her ex. He still lives with his dad.'' Lillian stayed with Ruby in Granny's while Emma and Henry got to Sean and his father.
''How far would she be now you think?''
''I wouldn't know, probably half way Stroybrook.'' Lillian nodded and took a sip of her tea.
''How mad would Gold be when he finds out?'' Ruby asked her while putting her wolf-thingy away.
''too mad. Don't be surprised if I'm dead tomorrow. He's going to be really mad at me for letting her go.'' Ruby nodded at her when Emma walked in.
''Why didn't you tell me. Both of you, especially you Lillian!'' Lillian looked up from her tea.
''It wasn't my place to tell. And Ashley is my friend, if my father finds out-''
''Who gives a damm about Gold? Are you really that scared of him? That sell is the reason why she ran away.'' Emma sighed and followed Ruby when she saw her car was missing.
''Ruby, where is your car? You didn't sent me to Sean to help her, you sent me there to give her a head start!'' Lillian looked up to Henry's mom.
''Look, we're only trying to help her, alright?''
''Yeah, so am I. Ashley is in more trouble then you know. Ruby where is she? Don't make her break her deal with Gold without me.'' Ruby looked down at Henry.
''I can't talk in front of him. He is the mayor's kid.'' Henry shot up.
''Hey! I'm on your side. And Lillian is Gold's kid!'' Emma got bended down to her knees so she was on his height.
''Henry... I need to find this woman and in order to do that, I need you to go home okay? So please listen to me. Seriously she is not going to tell me anything if you're around.'' Henry nodded and with a fast 'okay' he left the diner.
''She left town, said she was going to try to disappear in Boston.'' Ruby explained.
''How long ago did she leave?''
''About half an hour.'' Lily told her with a sigh. Emma nodded and took off. With a quick 'thank you' to Ruby Lillian followed the blonde. She got into the passenger seat in Emma's car and pulled the buckle.
''What'd she tell you?'' Lillian nearly shrieked and clenched her chest.
''Henry what the hell? You nearly gave me a heart attack!'' she hissed at him, glaring when he just shrugged her off.
''Henry, you can't come with us. We're going to Boston.'' Henry looked over to Lily.
''You can't leave Storybrook! Bad things happen to people who do, don't you remember? If you drop me off you won't be able to get to her.'' Lillian nodded at Emma.
''He's right Emma, nobody ever left town without something horrible happening.'' Emma sighed and looked over to Henry.
''Buckle up.''
---------------Once upon a time---------------
''Why are we down here?'' Ella asked as the latch of the heavy door clicked. The group followed Lilith and Grumpy who were up front.
''We needed a place to keep him. Rumpelstiltskin is the most dangerous man in all of the realms. So we made him his own special cell. We converted the mines to hold him.'' Charming explained to her.
''But how will we get him here? He's free now isn't he?'' Ella asked them while putting one arm around her pregnant belly and her other hand to Thomas' hand.
''Well we have Lilith here.'' Grumpy said while looking at the dark one's student.
''Grumpy, I already told you. I'm not helping you capture him, I told you this already. His greatest strength is also his weakness... making deals.'' Grumpy nodded and looked over to Ella and the two princes.
''He can't resist making them and we already know who he wants to deal with next... you.'' Charming placed a gentle hand on Ella's tensed shoulder.
''We've sent words with one of snow's birds. He's accepted a meeting with you. In that meeting you are going to tell him that you are having twins.'' Thomas nodded and kissed his wife's cheek.
''And if he wants both.''
''Which he will.'' Lily butted in. Grumpy looked at Lilith with an annoyed glare.
''You propose a new deal.'' He opened a box and showed a blue quill.
''The blue fairy casted a spell on it.'' Lilith saw Ella's confused look and grabbed her hand.
''Ella, whoever sings with this quill will be frozen and their magic will be rendered impotent, even his. He will be powerless and defenseless.'' Ella continued to stare at the quill.
''Don't worry Ella. All you have to do is get him to sign the contact. This man is a scourge, you will be doing the entire land a service.'' Lilith just ignored them, like she always did if someone spoke in a bad manner about her mentor.
''Should we even use magic? Isn't that what's causing these problems to begin with? What if this magic comes with a price as well?'' Lilith turned to the people behind her with a scoff.
''ALL magic comes with a price. I know all about it.'' Thomas glared at her.
''But I'll pay it. I will do whatever it takes to save our child.'' They stopped in front of Rumple's soon to be cell.
''We can do this Ella.'' Ella turned to her husband before turning to Lilith.
''Okay, let's do this.''
--------Once upon a time----------
''I told you!'' Henry pointed over Lillian's shoulder towards Ruby's car which was parked on the side of the road. With no Ashley in it. Lily got out of the car before Emma even parked her own car.
''Ashley!'' Lillian called out as loud as she could.
''Lillian!'' Lily ran to the side and saw Ashley sitting on the ground. Lillian ran to her side and placed herself on her knees.
''What's wrong?'' she placed a hand on Ashley's shoulder who had her hands on her belly.
''The baby, it's coming.'' Lillian turned to Emma who called out to get in the car. Lily and Emma helped her into the car next to Henry.
''Is the baby actually coming!?'' Lily turned back to the ten year old with a annoyed face.
''No! She is just tired from running a marathon. Of course the baby is actually coming!'' Emma glanced in the mirror, looking at Lily's and Ashley's connected hands.
''The hospital isn't that far.'' Ashley shook her head wildly.
''No, no, no, no! Take me to Boston! I can't go back there, please don't!'' Emma glanced back while shaking her head.
''Oh, no. we don't have four hours. trust me I know.'' Ashley looked at Lillian and she could just feel how afraid the woman was.
''He'll take my baby. I want this baby! You can't let him take my baby Lillian.'' Lillian turned to Emma.
''I won't. I promise. He won't touch you or your child.''
When they got to the hospital they got Ashley to a doctor, just like Lillian. Her foot twisted away when she jumped out of the driving car, she didn't even notice it at first.
''Well, you're lucky sweetheart. It's just broken so it will heal in six weeks.'' Lillian sighed and put her head in her neck looking at her right foot that was now being wrapped in a cast. She got up with the crutches and walked towards Henry and Emma in the waiting room. She got to them and Henry ran towards her.
''Are you okay?'' She nodded and looked down at the boy.
''It's broken. But I'm okay, it will probably take around six weeks. Good news though, I can't work at the pawn shop now.'' She laughed and a doctor walked their way.
''Miss Swan? The baby is a very healthy six pound girl and the mother is doing fine.'' Lillian smiled and the doctor looked her way.
''You must be Lillian? She asked if you would be the first to hold her.'' Lillian smiled and nodded.
''I would love to. When can I see her?''
''In a few minutes, watch out with your foot though.'' She nodded again and Henry gave her a small hug.
''What lovely news.'' The three turned around to face Mr. Gold.
''Excellent work Ms. Swan. Thank you for bringing me my merchandise.'' Lillian and Emma looked at each other before Lily bit her lip.
Lillian walked inside the room which held Ashley and her new born baby.
''Hey Ash.'' Ashley looked up to her friend and smiled.
''Lillian. Come take a look at her, her name is Alexandra.'' Lillian walked towards her and smiled when Ashley handed her the new born.
''Hi Alexandra, I'm Lillian. I'm a friend of your mommy.'' She turned back to Ashley and smiled when Ashley noticed her cast.
''What happened?''
''It broke. Nothing to worry about. Emma is outside with Gold. She is making sure that your baby stays yours.'' Ashley smiled and thanked her before Lillian handed her the baby and Henry walked in with Emma.
''She's all yours.'' Ashley held a hand to her mouth in shock.
''Thank you Emma, thank you so much. You two as well. Thank you so much Henry and Lily. I can't say how thankful I am. But what did you do?'' Emma raised her shoulders.
''I made a deal with him.'' Lillian softly shook her head, she knew Gold was always going to hold this against her.
''Well, I should go. I like my head attached to my body. Bye Ashley, I'll bring Ruby over tomorrow. Bye Emma, bye Henry.'' She got on her crutches and then left to her house.
