"Katrina, I'm sorry but you aren't aloud out there tonight. You're an important asset this feud with both teams here." Vince warned me, tapping his pen against his desk.

"So you're telling me I'm not even aloud at ring side tonight? What bullshit kind of new rule is this?" I snapped, storming out of my chair.

"You got knocked out of a ring and hit your head very hard on the ground, Katrina. It's serious now. Do you know how many calls and threats we've gotten to know if you were alright? We can't risk you going out there." He swallowed and then calmly explained to me some bullshit rule.

"I'm perfectly fine! I'm fine!" I laughed loudly.

"God! Did Bret put you up to this?" I shook my head, laughing a little.

His face turned bleak. I raised my brow and leaned over his desk. At this point. I didn't care if this old fart stared at my boobs. I was getting answers.

"Vince. Did Bret tell you to not let me come to ringside?" I purred.

On the inside, I was throwing up and shaking with rage.

"It was Jim. Bret said it wasn't a good idea." Vince then cleared his throat and avoided my gaze as I stared at him.

I rolled my eyes and pushed open the door, walking out of his office. I was pissed. Beyond pissed. The boys were going out there tonight without me. Instead they were taking Jimmy Hart with them. They weren't related at all. But it didn't matter. Apparently I didn't matter either.

Grumbling curse words to myself the entire walk down to the men's locker room. I kicked open the door, not giving a good goddamn. The guys that were inside jumped back and then stared at me in awe or shock.

"Where the hell are they?" I said slowly, narrowing my eyes at none other than Hulk Hogan.

That guy got on my fucking nerves too.

"Who, babe?" A cocky voice from the other side of me emerged.

I turned and faced Rick Martel. I put my hand on his chest and shoved him back into the lockers. The room got quiet as I turned back around and grabbed a pair of boots.

"I swear to god. If someone doesn't tell me where Neidhart and Hart are in the next five seconds I'm throwing these at whoever try's to sweet talk me next. I'm not fucking kidding." I waved it around in my hand as I stared at all the familiar faces.

"Um, Kat?"

"Davey! Tell me where they are!" I rared my hand back.

"Fookin' crazy bitch." I heard Tom mutter under his breath. We glared at each other.

Davey grabbed ahold of my hand, taking out the boot and tossing it somewhere in the room and gave me a sad smile.

"I will throw a fit and make a scene. Tell me now." I demanded.

"Calm down first." He pleaded with me.

"Hey– whoa!"

I turned my head and glared straight at Jim Neidhart. Ripping my hand out of Davey's I charged at him ready to smack his face until he couldn't take it anymore. Bret's arms caught me ahead of him. I hissed, kicking, scratching, and cursing as I fought in his arms.

"Kat! Calm down!" Bret shouted loudly.

By this point anyone in the locker room had filed out and did it quickly. The only ones in here now were Tom, Davey, Jim, Bret and myself.

"What the hell is the matter with you?" Jim shook his head at me in disbelief.

"You! You fucking asshole! You got me banned from ringside and didn't have the balls to tell me?!" I snapped, stomping hard on Bret's foot. He yelped and released me.

Davey however was one step ahead of me, standing in front of me. I shot him a hard glare.

"You have no business there 'nyways." Tom shrugged simply.

"Did I fucking ask you? Didn't think so, dick hole so keep your mouth shut." I sarcastically smiled at him and returned to glaring at Jim.

"You got her banned?" Bret asked in shock.

"I told you not to do that. It wasn't a good idea." He shook his head this time.

"Look, Kat. I'm sorry. But it was because of me that you got hurt. I can't let that happen again!" Jim sighed heavy, doing his best to look at me with pleading eyes.

"That's not your decision to make! You're an asshole for doing that behind my back. Friends don't do that to each other, Jim." I shrieked, causing all four men to jump.

"Kat, I didn't want to get you hurt–"

"Why do you all think I'm so fragile? That I'm like a china doll. Because I'm not!" I yelled, rolling my eyes.

"Alright Kat, settle down." Bret reached for me and pulled me closer to him.

"And you didn't stick up for me!" I turned around and pointed my finger in his face.

"I did–"

"Obviously not!" I laughed humorlessly.

"Come on Kat! We worry 'bout ya!" Davey sighed, frowning at me.

"And I'm so glad you guys do! But I'm fine and this is ridiculous!" I growled shaking my head in frustration.

"Calm down, Kat!" Bret sneered hatefully pulling on my arm.

"She isn't going to fookin' calm down! Listen, crazy, just because ya got yourself knocked out two weeks ago has nothing to do with us boys. You don't belong here. At all. So go on back to your award shows, and your little fake happy life while we do what we love to do without seeing your goddamn face." Tom spat, shoving past me. Making sure to hit his shoulder against mine as he walked past.

I could only look down at the floor. I avoided everyone's gaze and cleared my throat. It was time to perform. Putting on a fake smile, brushed my blonde hair off of my face and wiggled my hand out of Bret's tight grasp.

"Kat–" He began slowly.

"Fuck you all!" I shook my head and stormed out of the locker room of testosterone.

I marched into the women's locker room and grabbed ahold of my bag. They gave me petty glares and curls of their lips as I past them. Normally I would smile at them in spite and keep on going. But I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I stopped at the door frame and turned to them with a smile.

"I wish you all good luck tonight. And I'm sorry I've intruded on all of you. Goodnight." I said quickly.

Fumbling through my bag, I grabbed my keys shakily. I looked at the door I just past and felt the anger bubbling in my veins. I opened it slowly and looked straight into the eyes of Vince. He frowned and ushered the man in his office out immediately.

"What's this about?" He nodded to my bag and my keys in my hand.

"I've came to the conclusion... I'm done." I smiled and started to turn around.

"Now Kat! We can't be hasty like this! Come on sweetheart!" Vince shot out of his chair, pleading.

"Vince. If you don't want me to kill someone. I suggest you let me leave tonight without a word." I gave him a warning glance.

"What am I supposed to tell Bret and Jim?!" He bellowed frantically.

"I don't know. Send a post card that says kiss my ass, don't call me." I shrugged and walked out the door.

"Kat!"

I heard two voices shout. Bret and Vince.

I sped up and shot out the quick exit. Throwing my bag forcefully into my rental car. Well the car I had rented with the boys. But fuck them, right?
I started it and put on my seatbelt when Bret appeared in front of the windshield. I rolled my eyes and looked at him.

"What in the hell are you doing?!" He shouted.

"Pissing you off. That's what I'm doing." I smirked at him.

"Katrina, we need to talk about this! Come on and get out of the car, now!" Bret snapped, glaring at me.

"You should've thought about that before you guys opened your mouths and got me banded." I shrugged lazily.

"I was on your side!" Bret hit the hood of the car with his fist.

"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And you expect me to believe that? I'm done. And I'm done with managing you guys. I'm out." I screamed back at him.

"What the fuck, Kat?!"

"Please don't act like you care so goddamn much about me when we know it's your career you really care about." I put the car in reverse and backed out.

"I do care about you! You know that! Kat! Stop! You can't leave!" Bret waved his arms and ran to my side of the car.

"I'm sorry? Was I not banned from doing my job tonight?" I turned to him feigning confusion.

"And for the record. Do not even think about calling me." I scoffed driving off. I didn't even think about looking in my rear view mirror.

Turning the radio up loud. Blaring Jessie's Girl by the hottest man alive, Rick Springfield, while I pulled onto the highway.

It wasn't long until I pulled into the hotel we were staying in. I grabbed my other bags from the room and stuffed the key under the door before I left. I wasn't about to stay with either man that I formerly worked with. I was going to stay in the best place in town. We were in New York anyways. Why would I do that? Because I had money and I knew it.

I finally settled on The Hyatt Place and checked into my room. Ordering myself some room service and taking a shower, I finally laid down and began watching an episode of Dynasty. I moved my dampened blonde locks as I yawned.

A knock on my door made my brows turn in a straight line. I grabbed my silk robe from my bag that was sitting on the ottoman at the end of the bed. I sauntered over to the door and opened it slowly looking up at whomever the hell decided to disturb my night.

"How in the name of fuck did you find where I was at?! Are you fucking kidding me!" I grumbled, laughing as I looked at Bret.

"You're predictable. That's how." He sneered down at me.

I raised my middle finger to him with a smile when he moved past me into my room. I scoffed and slammed the door behind me, crossing my arms as I watched him.

"What do you think you're doing, Hart?" I snapped, annoyed.

"We lost tonight."

"Awesome. I honestly don't care." I rolled my eyes.

"Neither do I for once. I don't give a fuck. You know why, Kat? Do you?" He asked frantically moving closer to me.

"No but I bet you're going to tell me." I said in a bored tone while watching him.

"Because while jobbing my ass off tonight I realized something! I realized that you mean more to me than what I thought, Kat! I missed you! I wanted you out there with us! I wanted you right there beside me! I mean yeah, fuck, I worry about you. But I know you." Bret was now in front of me as he rambled on.

"You're so strong and I admire that about you. You should know that, Katrina. You can be pissed off at me all you want to be, but that doesn't change how I feel or anything about you." His brown eyes stared into mine.

"You're still a douche." I bit my lip hard as I looked down at my feet.

"Maybe." He chuckled a little.

"Vince thinks you've quit–"

"I did. I'm not coming back, Bret." I sighed, running my hand through my hair.

I watched the man before me bite his lip as he kept quiet. He stared down at me. I could tell he was fighting himself hard.

"Okay. If that makes you happy. But don't stay a stranger, Katrina." Bret finally spoke.

He stepped forward, pressing his lips to mine passionately.

Before I could even react, Bret had pulled away and began walking out of my room. I stood there in shock before I turned around, watching him.

"Stay safe, babe." He gave me a tiny smile.

It was then that I realized what he was doing. He was walking away from more than just our argument. He was walking away from me. Every part of me. And I couldn't bring myself to smile back.

"You too." I said softly watching the door shut behind him.
