Where a cave, 2 curses, a prophecy, a purple star and a crew of pirates in the search of someone will soon set the beginning for a dangerous and adventurous quest.

No one's POV:

If this was a novel, maybe it would have started with a long l o o o n g description of the environment we are now. Just so the reader, yes you, reading this right now, can get delicately adjusted. But since this is a fanfiction, where things are a little bit more relaxed, elastic and quick, we can already set to the main point. To the beginning.

How everything from the adventure you're about to soon begin reading, started.

So, sit back, relax and dive into the story...

~

It was midnight. The full moon was shining with all of it's majesty over the dark waters. Shining down also on a big black ship, which was fast sailing, ripping the waters in 2 as it traveled. Fast like an arrow it kept going, never seemingly stopping.

The winds were favourable for it, as they were constantly blowing the sail cloths of the ship, pushing just enough to not rip them. But hours later, when clouds started covering the sky, at last, it stopped. It dropped anchor about a mile away to the north side of the island of Izaro and stayed there.

The sailors could be faintly seen climbing the masts like cats and tying the sail cloths to not get blown anymore. The anchor dropped to keep the ship motionless. And minutes later, lanterns were lit up on the deck of the ship. Once the last details were taken care of and the ship wasn't moving from it's position, a big celebration of some short seemed to begin.

*clack* *clack*

The light given, was reaching even almost to the highest spots of the tallest mast. A black flag was waving gently on the breeze up there. The logo had a skull and two crossed scythes behind it. From the one eyesocket of the skull, was coming out a fully bloomed lily. Pale green vines were adding to the decoration. Such symbol could easily give an idea of what ship this one travelling in the dark was.

A pirate one.

And not just any as you will soon realise.

*clack* *clack*

Indeed, there were pirates scattered around the deck. But they weren't human. Oh no. In fact, this ship was full of monsters, in the majority ones that could easily remind you of... animals. Amongst them were only 2 humans, a buff brunette with also dark brown eyes and a skinny blonde boy with baby blue eyes and freckles on his face.

From these, in the majority anthropomorphic creatures, some of them were talking intensively while standing around. Others were talking too, just chilling and sitting on the wooden floor. And some others had hit the alcohol hard, many of them passed out on the floor, laughing, cursing, even whining. Seemed like a cheerful party.

*clack* *clack*

Oh, anything but that however. Behind that seemingly by first glance full of energy and celebrating spirit, there were more. If you could see from closer, none of the non drunk pirates seemed happy at all. Fear. Seriousness. Grim. Emotions like these could be seen on their faces as they were talking. Sometimes they were also staring up to the sky with concerned expressions.

*clack* *clack*

The drunk *sses were talking about some cursed cave, mermaids, sirens and... well, they were falling asleep for a few seconds before waking up again and repeat their phenomenally nonsensical monologue. Why were the pirates all so concerned and what was the meaning behind their words?

*clack* *clack*

But maybe, the important questions are other that has to be answered first. Where was the ship the pirates were on even sailing to? What was it following? And why even travel in the middle of the night where dangers like crashing on a insidious reef, were hiding, if you weren't careful at all?

*clack* *clack*

While all pirates had their companies and no one was alone, one monster only was staying away from everyone, phenomenally showing apathetic and that they didn't care for the situation and the atmosphere prevailing. Or that their mind was travelling somewhere else.

*clack* *clack*

A skeleton it was. Earth monster, able to control the gravity of things and movements. One of the strongest monsters of the category of Elementals, specifically for the earth element.

He was wearing a little below the thighs long blue cassock with a winged symbol on the chest. Black trousers could be seen underneath it, almost touching the floor and also black sandals on their feet. He looked like... a priest. Or monk, or some religious person.

*clack* *clack*

And indeed, sitting on an upside down barrel, on the most shady corner of the deck where the lanterns couldn't reach well enough, he was praying silently with lowered head, his prayer rope clacking and rattling between his fingers. A little wooden cross was hanging around his neck. His mouth was moving, but no sound was heard, barely a whisper.

"Our Lord Jesus Christ, forgive our sins and protect us in our difficult journey. Holy angels sent by the Lord, hold away the creatures of Satan and show your immense mercy to your humble creatures..."

It had been a mystery amongst the pirates about why him, a priest, had joined them. The most common reasons to join piracy were for adventure, traveling, gold, or simply wanting to run and escape for your life if you were wanted, however he had showed that none of these reasons had made him join.

But why is there a priest amongst pirates, just praying and chilling around as if he was in a church or monastery and how he ended up in this crew, further ahead it can be answered if you keep reading baby readers. But maybe a name reveal is in order, just so we don't have to only and constantly call him priest. Well, his name was-

"PriEeEst AltEEER! Come with us and *hic* driIiNK!" A pirate suddenly called loudly with a voice that was betraying he was drunk as f*ck. That's how the pirates of this ship were used to call him more often.

Decorating his name with the word priest. Or simply calling him that. After all, as a priest he first joined this crew (for who knows why). But as said, it will be explained later. The skeleton priest named Alter raised head to look at the direction of the pirate who had so suddenly call him.

His fingers stopped clacking the beads of his prayer rope. A sudden breeze took the hood off his head. At last his face was more visible. A round skull with just a tiny bit sharp cheekbones, unlike of how a realistic and normal human skull would look like.

And inside his eyesockets that had some kind of dark 'circles' underneath, there were 2 snow white pupils. Their white glow was showing health and perhaps a quite young age for the life span a skeleton has, despite he seemed more mature than that.

The pirate who had call him was a monster that looked like a big buff tiger, of the Animalistic category, who lifted his big cup full of rum with unstable moves once he saw he had gotten the skeleton's attention. He smiled wider and his green eyes seemed more cheerful. The skeleton sighed and lowered head, maybe dissapointed.

"Tch tch tch... You senseless monster, how can you and some others drink in a serious situation like this?" He got off the barrel and stood up. Shokingly, he was very tall, about 7 feet. Definitely far taller than an average human being. Despite his thoughts anyways, he faced the tiger monster with a simple grin. "I'm all good David. May you keep drinking with your company." And he turned his back. "As if drinking will help you forget what we all went through. Next morning it will hurt as much as the headache you'll get. Captain, that ain't way to comfort your crew and tell them that nothing went wrong." He thought again. The tiger guy named David didn't even reply to him, just laughed and kept drinking with his company. Alter shook head left and right and lowered the black hood above his head even more, clenching his teeth lightly. "As if we're celebrating some victory..." He muttered. He seemed ready to walk away for who knows where.

"Mister Alter." A stern serious voice called him.

The priest stopped and only turned his head. There was the one of the 2 humans of the crew. The brunet man, who might was just a little bit shorter than the skeleton but by first glance seemed more intimidating with his muscles.

"Yes Markus?" Alter asked, calling the human by his name.

"Where are you going? Got bored from praying?" He asked, but his tone didn't sound ironic at all, rather just confused.

"I'm going to see the Captain."

"Sure, but if you try to get him out of his office, don't just waste your time."

"I'll try either way." Markus sighed.

"Together with that, try also and learn what are his plans. We are sailing in the night and chasing after that purple star without any explanation!"

Ah yes. Behind the clouds that had now covered most of the sky, stubbornly a faint glow could be seen painting them purple. A while ago, when the sky was clear for the most part, amongst the other stars and near the moon there was indeed a purple one, much bigger and more threatening that the other.

Almost like the Christianic Bethellem's star that lead the shepherds and the 3 mages to baby Jesus when he was born. Alter and Markus stared up to the sky where that purple star was visible a while ago. The skeleton sighed and turned his back.

"... I will." He said and walked for the lower deck.

Soon the darkness of the ship's bottom swallowed him, but his white eyesockets' glow pierced through it. He walked in the dark corridors without problem for about a minute, until he stopped in front of a door which had the same symbol as the flag. The skull with the crossed skythes behind it. He knocked gently on the door.

"Entrar, Alter." He heard a deep, calm but tired voice, calling him. Alter opened the door and entered.

The office, the one room he had just entered, might was not the biggest room in the whole ship, but it was really nice looking. Spacious and well decorated. A big library was at the left corner of the room with many books, big and smaller.

Maps where on the highest shelves and many navigational tools. A big table of ebony wood was in the middle of it and 7 steps away from the door. A heavy carpet mostly black with blue meanders was covering the whole floor.

In front of the table, with his back turned at the priest, the Captain of the ship was standing and studying above a large map that was covering the whole table. "La mano de la muerte" more commonly in Hispania. "A praga do mar" in Portugal. "The death server".

And these were only a few names people and monsters had given for that small but clever and extremely dangerous pirate captain. His name was Reaper. A young skeleton monster gifted with necromantic powers and with big name and high reputation. His name by itself could make many shake on their boots.

Highly respected, but above anything else feared for whoever had never been on his crew and all they've ever seen or heard about him was that he had cruelty 100 times his height. But the crewmembers who had sticked around him for more than a couple of months knew him otherwise.

Despite a pirate, Reaper was fair. He had punishments but not harsh, unless you were really intending purposely to test his patience, to anger him a lot or if you were doing as much as to affect anyone from his whole crew negatively. Still, only a very few times he had come to the point become agressive.

But these times were enough to become a lesson for everyone not to do the same mistakes that could lead to horrible consequences and measures. Another thing about him was that he was not really a liar. Surprisingly. The times he had ever lied to his crew were only less than the number of his fingers on his one hand.

There were other times he would 'walk around the truth' or not say everything from his plans or thoughts, only the most important. But if there was danger on something they were about to do, Captain Reaper was never saying anything that would make his crew be oblivious of the real danger.

He was informing them of what was awaiting, but he had his way to encourage and strike inspiration to the crew and no matter what, his men were always ready to follow his commands and throw themselves to the danger.

Whether that was a raid on a ship, whether an attack on a village, though very rarely he was stepping foot on villages to attack them, whether going to find treasures on places that not many mortals would ever dare to approach.

And speaking of magical places, days ago, his crew had exited from one...

It all had began with a rumor spreading around the pirate islands for about a month.

A cave had been seen rising above the waters about half a nautical mile northwest of Spain. Who knows who, it was said that the cave had treasures and riches that no mortal could ever dream of seeing, but that it was a sacred place and whoever touched them would be cursed.

More over however, the most juicy rumor was that amongst the treasures there was a chest that was hiding in it an object so majestic and so important, that whoever was getting their hands on it would have knowledge and a hold of every places that had huge treasures. Other rumors said that the cave was more than just a treasure keeper.

The Tearful Cave as it was called, was the entrance for a kingdom in the Ocean's depths. A home for creatures that sometimes were bringing more fright to the sailors than what pirates would do: sirens and mermaids.

Beautiful looks and voices, but sly, greedy and murderous. Especially the mermaids. The sirens had as their best weapon their singing, hypnotising any unlucky mortal that was hearing their divine voices and then drowning them, just for their sadistic pleasure.

The mermaids didn't have magical voices that were luring mortals and they could more easily be distinguished by their hair colors, not ones you would see more often on a human's head. However they were much braver and vicious, most of them enjoying a lot to straightforward attack, drown, even eat sailors.

Also, again like sirens, they were hating with a burning passion the pirates, for, they would capture them to sell them if they had the chance. These random stuff were said after the conversations about the cave and Reaper had happen to hear these while relaxing on a tavern in Tortuga.

He got interested and started asking more about that cave, to make sure it was real. Because he might was not to say no to an adventure with treasure, but he was also thinking before acting.

After all what if that cave was a lie and a made up story by some drunk pirates? But it wasn't. After he asked around some more he learned that all rumors were true. Also that the cave was rising from the waters every 15 years before sinking after 7 months.

And Reaper was convinved even more for the truth of these rumors by his friend and Captain of the pirate crew Destino Oscuro, Nightmare. Informing that he was as well a skeleton. They knew each other even before they become pirates. Good enough friends you could say. Many times they were cooperating to raids or trips and adventures.

Despite he was a little shorter than Reaper and phenomenally more frail, Nightmare was a lot more strict and punishing more harshly his crewmembers, not forgiving mistakes as easily as his friend. And definitely not any less weaker than Reaper.

He also had a very sharp mind, his strategies and plans had always been useful when him and his friend were after something really dangerous. Reaper knew that he was much more well informed about most things thanks to his intelligence, observation and the books he constantly liked to read.

And so he was convinced completely about the rumors when Nightmare reassured him and informed him even more. In fact he was the one who had suggested Reaper they go to find the cave and steal the treasures.

And Reaper sadly did the mistake to agree. But how he and Nightmare could have known things would go so bad...

"What do you want?" Captain Reaper asked without turning to look at Alter. He sounded abrupt and rude, but more over tired. The taller skeleton didn't budge by that tone. He crossed his arms and quietly exhaled from his nose.

"Reaps... I wanted to make sure you're alright. But asking in exchange of all crewmembers, where are you taking us?"

The Captain raised his head but still didn't look at Alter. The priest closed his eyesockets. He expected no answer, that again, like with any other who had asked the Captain that question, the answer would be silence.

"If my calculations and suspicions are correct, we're sailing for Hondarribia."

Wouldn't make much difference if a sack of stones was hitting Alter in the face for actually getting an answer, even though he didn't express it much on the outside. It was a big surprise for him when the shorter answered.

"Hondarribia?" He approached the office and looked down on the map as his eyesockets stopped on the now circled with pencil town, on the northwest side of Hispania's Iberian peninsula. He looked again at Reaper with raised 'brows'. "Why there of all places? What are we looking for?" The smaller turned his back at him and didn't speak. At least immediately.

"... Do you remember... that night?"

Terrible. Horrifying. Of course and Alter remembered, how couldn't he? How could anyone from the crew NOT remember? Just one week ago it was the night the crews of Reaper and Nightmare entered the Tearful Cave to steal the treasures it had in it.

The only things the crews received from that place were curses and a death warning...

~

It was a night with weak starlight when the 2 ships arrived in front of the Tearful Cave, the place where the sirens were leaving their tears and their old memories to dissappear, blah blah blah. All pirates were excited to see the treasures. Except Alter.

He had warned- pleaded the captains not to get in, the sirens would be very angry for the encroachment. But who stops when so close to their goal? No one of course. The captains were the most excited.

On their way they faced mermaids, but killed some of them. Alter knew that this wouldn't end well. Only majestic and beautiful they weren't when they were fighting with rage. And so they had entered the cave.

It was better than what anyone could imagine! The ceiling had crystals that were shining in purple, cyan, green in a really mesmerising way. The rocky floor had scattered many shiny gems and valuable stones, any you could think of!

But while all pirates were busy taking the valuable stuff from the floor, the captains' attention turned to the far end of the cave. There, on a pure golden altar was standing the chest. It was also golden, with a diamond symbol of a trident on its cap.

The chest where it was said they would find the valuable object that would guide their keeper for the rest of their life and find treasures everywhere it lead. A few pirates had stopped what they were doing, 'cleaning up' the place, to try open the chest, but to no success.

Upon his nerves with everyone failing, captain Nightmare kicked the chest (don't worry, he didn't break his leg by kicking the golden chest, his boot was durable and strong enough to save him).

Alter felt a sting in his soul by that. That was wrong. Very wrong. Respect had better to be shown at something like this. He felt it like that. But it was too late. The chest rolled and at last.

A click was heard and it opened a little. The captains ran towards it, kneeled and opened the chest that changed their lifes. They were ready to see that object that would make them rich. But instead... they found a scroll.

~

"I do remember." The shivers Alter felt then as he recalled the scene and what followed next were still haunting him. His eyesocket saw the little scroll on Captain Reaper's desk. He had taken it with him. He knew of it, but didn't have the chance to read it. Reaper saw him staring at the scroll.

"You may read it." He said calmly. Alter looked at him with raised brow. "It also says what we're looking for. Rather my friend, who." The taller's eyesoeckets slightly widened in interest. He held the scroll in his hands, opened it and started reading it.

The hand lead by the greed no real good has ever seen
the chest you opened now only gold will not give
Alas you fell right into the trap the seas for fools like you has set
giving the sign for the depths to rise and this world end
Freeing this place from the curse, up high it will rise
to show that a new era comes and in a strong glow will shine

You've been tricked and from now on your life will never be the same
You awakened your own curse, your punishment is on its way
You thought you would have your treasures so easily you fools
but you will only receive pain, suffering and fight your sanity not to loose
The ones who were closer to the chest from now, they will bare a curse
control of your powers will not be on your hand anymore to have
Sadness will follow you everywhere, not a single day of peace for you
pain and despair around you is all you'll go even to your last days through

But for the curse to break
to not aimlessly prevail
for this world to not fall under a new era like nothing as you know
a way will be marked for you to sail and a destination to unlock
someone who's fate has long ago been decided and is now ready to unfold
Two natures and sides he has in his blood
one mortal and another from golden bloodline
The eldest illegitimate son of the Ocean's side
under the water he breathes
One long scar at his bare chest can be seen
on the water's sight with a deep scarlet tail like blood
Deep hidden grief in his lonely eye
with a forgotten past of his, left behind
You'll recognise him by these signs

Destiny had decided together with the Fates
any who connection had with sirens will be closer to find him first
Lead by his own dreams, alarmed he might be at first
Hear his song, in the ship it'll sound
some time shall pass, but he'll be found.
Two things he will steal from 1 of you
but more you'll win than loose
The choice may become later harder,
save the world for him will matter
His necklace is one of the keys
Keep the scroll and you may take your leave
The 'Purple Star' will show the way
to the village where the chosen stays

Holder of this scroll, you need luck and speed

Because the countdown isn't free

3 months the sirens give, no more

Or this world will be transformed

~

Barely a minute after the captains had finished reading the scroll, they suddenly fell on the floor spasming and jolting like fishes out of the water. Before any of the pirates could get concerned for them, at the same time as if all Hell broke loose, from the water mermaids jumped out. No one prevented to realize at all...

Moments of horror and terror filled the Tearful Cave, brutal and bloody the battle occured. That day many pirates died. It was a big massacre between the crews and the mermaids. In the low darkness Alter could see their eyes, how red they were and their fins on their heads, wide open like wings making them even scarier.

Screams of pain and death were echoing in the cave. It was one of the few times Alter felt the fear in his soul paralyzing him. Even though the mermaids were paying no attention to him apparently. Or perhaps, they were avoiding him. After all, that gift he had was useful for him...

"PRIEST ALTER HEEELP!" He snapped his head to the direction of the voice. One of the youngest pirates from the crew Reapers, Michael, was getting dragged by a mermaid towards the water, struggling to escape, almost to no avail.

At that moment, something snapped in Alter. And without thinking, he suddenly picked up the chest that was near his feet with ease, aimed and threw it at the mermaid's head, who let go of Michael groaning and hissing in pain.

"Hands off the boy!" The priest said sharply as Michael ran near him.

"You F*CKING MORTAL! YOU DARE HIT ME IN THE HEAD WITH THE ENCHANTED GOLDEN CHEST?!" The mermaid yelled at him.

"Yep I just did."

"YOU WILL DIIIE!!!" She yelled pointing at him. At that moment more mermaids crawled near her and looked at the tall skeleton murderously. "It doesn't matter if you have your fancy little symbol! You are dead! You dare disrespect us and the treasures, just like the others!"

"I like to defend my friends." Alter said calmly and summoned a long bone holding it like a cane. In all honesty he thought he would die that day. Just like all others eventually, if that battle kept going for long. But he stood with all of his chillness motionless and without fear gripping his soul anymore waited for them to approach and attack him. Until:

"T H Æ T ' § Ə N Œ U G H ¥ Œ U F * C K | N G Æ N | M Æ Ł §!" 2 vibrating voices said in sync, interrupting everything and everyone from keeping the fight going.

Everyone looked at the direction of the voices. Captain Reaper and Captain Nightmare were awake and standing! But... something was terribly off, especially with Nightmare. His white bones were covered in glistening black goop.

Beneath his hat, where his eyesockets with the 2 gorgeous purple pupils inside them were supposed to be, only the left one was visible, as the goo was covering the other. And that pupil inside his still visible eyesocket wasn't purple.

Now it was a cold cyan color with a piercing black dot in the middle, staring around crazily and furiously wherever he was seeing mermaid movement. 4 tentacles had grown on his back and were swinging slowly and threatenigly in the air.

Seeming ready to wrap, strangle, squeeze, crash bones and stab mermaids. Reaper... he was even more pale than his usual nature and his eyesockets were empty. His teeth were gritted and the skythe in his hands was glowing brightly as if it couldn't wait to take a few heads off.

"THEY'RE INFECTED! THEY'RE CURSED NOW! RETREAT, SWIM BACK!" The mermaids hissed as they all immediately retreated back into the water. Not many of them made it. It was said that Nightmare's tentacles and Reaper's skythe killed many more mermaids than the 2 crews did in the fight before.

They didn't stop killing, they seemed unable to stop. How they didn't accidentally kill any crewmember was a miracle. When no mermaids were on sight anymore, the 2 Captains stood motionless, as their weapons dissapeared.

They seemed tired and exhausted. They fell down like empty sacks uncoscious. Immediately pirates from both crews ran to their respective Captains, ready to examine and help. But the first ones who even a little touched them became the first accidental victims.

One black bear monster who was ready to lift Nightmare with his bare hands, the very next moment fell to the rocky floor crying, scratching himself and screaming as he started rumbling all the things that affected him the most in his life. He seemed so hurt and tortured, at the end he suddenly stopped moving, stayed motionless and in everyone's horror dusted, his soul cracked. There was nothing left of him except his clothes.

At the same time with him, a frilled lizard monster who was unlucky enough to be the first catch Captain Reaper's hand, after being shocked of him being so cold, the very next moment fell back jolting, vomiting and slowly dusting. The pirates stood motionless and shocked, not daring to approach their Captains, as if they now had leprosy.

Not much of a difference. But eventually, one black alsatian dog monster approached slowly Captain Reaper. He took off his white, long time now stained-in-blood coat and covering his arms, picked up the pale skeleton without touching him.

One large skeleton with a hole on his skull and a bloody red pupil in his eyesocket approached, also covering his arms, approached and picked up Captain Nightmare. Without saying anything and without exchanging any word, the 2 crews returned to their respective ships. Soon they had sailed away from the Tearful Cave...

~

Alter heard a soft yawn coming from the Captain's mouth. He was stydying again the map. When was the last time he had slept? 5 days, just to keep the ship in the correct route. Whatever that route was. When Alter was praying while wandering around the ship, when passing by the Captain's room, he was still able to see the light from the door's crevices.

Ok that was enough. The priest stood beside Captain, crossed his arms and looked at him strictly, like a mother ready to punish her child.

"Reaper, this is an exaggeration. You must take a break. Look at yourself, please, you must-"

"Not until I reach the location!" Captain Reaper slammed his fist at the table with force, lowered his head and clenched his teeth. The priest's eyesockets widened for a fleeing moment but stood in silence and surprise. Reaper rubbed his eyesockets and looked at him. There was guilt in his look. "Sorry Alter... Sorry." The tall skeleton exhaled quietly from the holes of his nose.

"It's fine. I see how much dedication and perseverance you put into this, is important to you. But for me too. For everyone. You want your... curse to break." Alter said and Reaper looked at his hands. Then he put his hand on his forehead with an annoyed expression. "They're asking 'bout ya. The men are really worried about you. You put them to have fun but you are always the one who doesn't take a break."

"Alter please. The others have to wait just a little longer until I appear. I... what if the world will be destroyed for real? We've lost 1 week. And if ya say that we still have 2 months and 3 weeks time, this doesn't help. We must find him, whoever that really is. As soon as possible. *sigh*..." Captain stayed silent for some melancholic and heavy seconds. But then he smiled and looked at the priest, with one brow raised. "You're telling me to take a break. Hah! Speaks the one who can stay awake for 3 weeks in a row if he wants!" He said.

"Cause I've been used to this. But you really need it." Alter said. "At least he has the strength to have a little smile even in what he goes through." He thought and smiled too. He gave the scroll back to the Captain.

"Alright, I'll come in about an hour." Reaper suddenly said and turned his look back at the map. Alter looked at him surprised and stood for a little while longer watching him again at his study. Finally he left.

Alter was sitting near Markus 'playing' with his cup that had water in it and not drinking it. He was thinking. Again. When Captain would come? Had an hour passed? Or it needed more time?

"My dear Lord. Please let him come to us." He thought intertwining his hands together. But before he could even finish his thoughts, he heard quick footsteps behind him. He turned to look and...

"Missed me lads?!"

"Wow that was fast!" The priest thought surprised looking up to the sky and the pupils inside his eyesockets glow brighter.

"Captain Reaper!"

"He's here!"

"Finally!"

All sobber pirates screamed and greeted him. Reaper took a seat between them and one of the pirates gave him a big cup with beer in it. Before the Captain drunk it however, he looked in the cup for a few secionds thoughtful. And then he stood on a barrel and lifted the cup, getting everyone's attention.

"¡Cállense todos, he wants to speak!" The alsatian dog said and one by one the pirates kept quiet, waiting to hear their Captain talking.

We survived from the 'Tearful Cave' the last week! But we've survived from way worse dangers and adventures! And now, one more's waiting for us and we'll beat it, no matter what! Yes Markus?" He suddenly asked as the buff brunet raised hand.

"Where are we going and what will we be doing?" He asked.

"I've set us sail to pay a little 'visit' to Hondarribia." The crewmates started whispering to each other surprised and confused but once their leader raised hand to silence them, they payed attention again to him. "We will attack the village, we will get a few supplies, but! We won't cause a lot of damage."

"Then what are we gonna do Sir, if not see the blood of the villagers spilling and running down the streets?! Or the fire burning their houses?!" A rat monster asked almost dissapointed.

"'Cause we might be pirates, but at the end of the day, we can be gentlemen a little too Sam." Reaper laughed. "However the real reason is because this time we won't be looking only for food. We won't be taking captives. We won't spill any blood, unless I find there's no other choice. I was told, there's someone there who will help us approach the Tearful Cave. And if we find them lads, then we will become disgustingly rich!"

"Why didn't you say so sooner?!" The rat said excited and started jumping. The other crewmates started talking excited.

"That's the spirit I wanna see!" Reaper said. "We will make it! Just because we failed once, doesn't mean we'll backdown for long lads! 'Cause who are we?"

"THE REAPERS!" The crew screamed in sync.

"And how tough are we!" The Captain asked a little louder.

"THE TOUGHEST!" The crew screamed again.

"Excellent! Let's make a 'toast': to the trip, the success and the treasures we'll get! Keep your faith high boys!" Reaper said smilling widely.

"YEEES!!!" The whole crew screamed again lifting the cups and started drinking while laughing, also singing cheerfully.

"Aaand he's truly back on his feet! Hopefully we have a good trip." Alter thought, smiled a little and crossed himself 3 times. "In the name of God I go on this journey. May God the Father be with me, God the Son protect me, and God the Holy Ghost be by my side. Lord, be our guide and our protector on the journey we are about to take. Watch over us. Protect us from accidents. Keep us free from harm to body and soul. Lord, support us with Your grace when we are tired. Help us be patient in any trouble which may come our way. Keep us always mindful of Your presence and love... even if we are pirates. Amen."
