❥ARIA'S POV
As the soft brush travels through my tangled hair, my mind lose itself in thoughts of the current events currently happening.
After Pickens Day and the protest from the Southside Serpents, the next day the statue of General Augustus Pickens's head was cut off, with red paint acting as his blood spilled.
As usual, the blame was put on the Southside, with no evidence.
Now Archie was literally working with Hiram Lodge, as his errand boy. I understand you want to be at your girlfriends' dad's good side but there's something not right about that man.
As I sat in front of my vanity, putting my hairbrush down, I heard a sound chime from my iPhone. I got up from my vanity chair to see I received a text message from an unknown number.
Curiously, I opened the message.

I looked at my screen, confused by the mysterious number.

I rolled my eyes, knowing who my "mysterious stranger" was.

I see three dots, knowing he's replying back to my text.

i asked from jughead, yeah surprising i know. to be frank princess i need it because you are gonna tutor me in chemistry. you didn't forget did you? ;) xx

I see the three dots on my screen go back and forth as if he's changing his response, which is making me nervous.

My eyes widen at the phone screen, not thinking I replied back to him.

not in that way sweet pea you're just always in my personal space lately and not to mention i see you almost everywhere in school.
I put my phone down, anxious about his response now. Would he understand what I said, or make this into something else...
...Kinda knowing him, he would turn this into something else...
Then my phone chimed, notifying another text had come in.

I scoffed at his response, knowing he would take this route.

As soon as I turned off my phone, it chimed again.

I rubbed my forehead in frustration.
" Did he literally asked Jughead for my number or threaten to give it to him? I wouldn't be surprised if he did." I said, getting onto my bed.

" Yeah Sweet Pea threatens me to give him your number." said Jughead as we walked down the hall.
" I knew it. Why couldn't he just ask me? I wasn't gonna say no or bite at him." I told him as we reached his locker.
" Something tells me, he would like the second option."
" Quiet you." I shushed him.
" Anyways I need to head to class, can't be late for chemistry. I'll catch you guys later."
" Aah, now I get it, well I hope you tend to focus on your lesson instead of the sexual tension filling the air."
" Please like there would be sexual tension."
" Believe me, it's there and who doesn't see it is blind."
I rolled my eyes.
" Maybe Sweet Pea should threaten you more often." I smirked as I walked off.
As soon as my hand reaches the door handle, one swiftly grabbed it and opened the door for me.
" Ladies first." Sweet Pea said as a smirk forming in his face.
" What a gentleman. I supposed you open doors for every pretty girl don't you?" I said as I entered the class.
I took my seat at an open lab table while Sweet Pea took the one next to mine.
" Well, I only do that for the prettiest and my mother raised a man with manners."
" I'm glad she did. We need more gentlemen like you in this world."
" Which is why I could be a better gentleman than these Bulldogs in this school..."
His hand pulled my chair closer, our bodies were about a few inches apart.
"...and I could prove it princess."
If we weren't in the awkward position, I could admit how enchanting Sweet Pea's warm brown eyes are down to how alluring his plump pink lips are.
I need to snap out of it, it's completely inappropriate the time and place for that now.
" This is the personal space I was talking about."
I push myself away from him.
" And what are you gonna do about it princess?"
He slides a bit closer to me.
As much as I want to slap the smirk out of his face, a deep part of me was eager to kiss him.
" What game are you playing at?"
" No game sweetheart, I just love to tease you. It's cute seeing you blush and get flustered."
He pauses as he continues to stare at me from my lips towards my eyes.
" Don't take to serious sweetheart, I'm only playing. I just want us to be friends and who knows what this could lead us."
" I have a suspicion that you don't 'just want to be friends with me'."
" You could be right." His eyes wander to my lips before reaching mines.
Right before I could respond back, our teacher, Mr. Hart walked in.
" Aria and Sweet Pea, please continue your little love session outside of class." He said as he sets his stuff and pulled out his papers for the day.
I heard Sweets chuckle before settle himself away from me.
Then a text message from Midge came in.

' what's going on between you and sweet pea?? you seriously have to spill! xx'
I huffed and replied back to her before turning off my phone for the class time.

" I know I had my fun with Serpents but you Aria!? I'm honestly impressed you would go there." said Kevin
" Kevin stop I didn't have my fun with Serpents, it's completely one-sided right now." I groaned as I sunk a bit lower on the booth.
Kevin and I were sharing our weekly milkshake session at Pop's and we haven't chat in a while so I gladly accepted his invitation.
" Aria, I love you but you need a little spice in your life."
" I'm okay with my life with no spice, thanks."
Kevin scoffs, his back hitting the seat.
" Honestly Aria, this is probably the most exciting thing that happened in your life. This is your Grease moment! You're Sandy without the ponytail, waiting for your summer romance with your own Danny."
" Can't believe you reference Grease on me." I giggled, sipping on my milkshake.
The bell rang, signaling the door opened as someone walked in Pop's.
My attention has been turned to see a group of Serpents walking in and taking a booth on the other side.
I turn my attention back to Kevin.
" Wouldn't you want Joaquin back?" I questioned him.
He stays quiet, which I suspected.
" It was probably for the best." He quietly says as he scrolls through his phone.
Then a text message notification dinged.

I turned back to see him on his phone as the bright screen reflect his face.
The second his eyes looked up, I turned back.

small time jump: three weeks
'Remember when I said this ain't fun, yeah this. ain't. fun.'
I thought again as the dreaded empty beer bottle spun its last spins,causing everyone in the small party room to "wooo" once it finally stop.
When the bottle lands on me, I felt I was cursed to play this stupid game.
I couldn't move. I was frozen in place, not knowing what to do next.
Josie tried to give me a small push but I couldn't move.
His smirk was the only thing I could focus on as Fangs hyped him up.
This is not how I want to get my first kiss.

The buzzer ranged out, signaling the game was over and Riverdale won it's first game of the season.
The crowd roared in cheers as the team players from the basketball team celebrate their win. The River Vixens went along with the celebration
" Party at my house! Everyone is invited!" said Reggie as he cheered on.
As if the celebration would end here.
Soon, everyone from Riverdale High made it over to the Mantle Household to party out. We noticed no parent figure was around ad frankly, we don't care.
Loud music was blaring through the speakers as everyone got into the vibe by drinks and make outs at almost every corner of the house.
I laughed at some conversation with Betty and Toni, while sipping some beverage.
Cheryl made it to the room where almost everyone was with a smirk on her face.
" Why don't we make this party a little more fun?" She holds up an empty beer bottle that was lying around.
As everyone was agreeing to play the infamous game, Betty and I seemed like the only ones who were against it, but guess we both don't have a choice.
Cheryl sets down the bottle and spins as everyone got into a circle around it.
The bottle slowly made it turn as it stops on Archie.
" Yeah, no. I kissed him once and I'm not making that mistake again." Cheryl scoffed, flipping her hair.
Veronica rolled her eyes as Archie spun the bottle around for his turn.
When it leaded on Jughead, everyone was surprised and shocked.
" No way." He said, rolling his eyes.
Betty tried so hard not to laugh but it wasn't working.
" Oh my god." Veronica's expression was whether she could laugh or not.
" You don't have to do this." He said towards Jughead.
" Relax Andrews, it's just a game." said Cheryl.
" It's just a game right?" He shrugs as both men gave a small peck to get it over with.
With laughter from Sweet Pea and Fangs, Jughead flipped them off before sitting back next to his girlfriend.
Jughead then spins the bottle to it's next victim
After a few kisses here and there, it was Sweet Pea's turn to spin it.
" Let's see if they're worth it." He smirks as he spins the bottle hard.
The bottle went around several times before finally deciding to slow down to it's final stop.
It would've been Toni but still had a little energy in it to fully stop in my direction.
" Oh my god, no way." I said, not believing it.
" Oh yes way." He smirks as I rolled my eyes.
I looked down as I felt his hand grab on my chin to lift my head up. Before he could even lean in, I heard my brother protest.
" Nope, no way this is happening." Archie stood from his seat.
" This isn't about you carrot head." said Sweets, his mood getting pissed off.
Archie, not listening, not backing down.
" Oh sure it ain't about me. You've been trying to get with my sister to spite me!"
" Archie pleas-" Veronica tries to intervene.
" You're still on that? You're so pathetic man."
" Well why you're always on my sister then? What's your game?"
" There's no game! You wouldn't allow any guy to be interested in her!?"
" You're wh--" I said but gotten interrupted.
" Any guy who isn't someone like you!"
" What are you trying to say? Spill it out already Andrews, I know you want too!"
Both men face of each other, Veronica tries to hold her boyfriend back before things could get ugly.
Anger was boiling in my veins as the events were unfolding in front of me. I'm tired of all this nonsense and just wanted to play this stupid game
I didn't think of my actions next but it didn't matter at the moment.
I rushed over to grab Sweet Pea's face and pulled him for a hard bruising kiss.
Everyone stopped whatever they were doing, in shock on what's currently going on.
Once the kiss was finished, I patted his cheek while he stayed speechless on what just happened.
I turned towards my brother for one last word.
" I think you shouldn't judge on whoever I'm interested in. Remember who you first hooked up with when you got in Riverdale? Now give me the car keys. Ronnie can be your ride home."
He gave me his car keys and I step foot out of that party.
As the cold night air hits me, I made it to the car and started the engine.
It was such a shame on how good of a kisser Sweet Pea was, just wished it went a little bit more different.
