6 months later...

Elite

I walked up to the wedding setting and looked around. It was beautiful, just like how me and Nicki saw it in the wedding catalog. We decided to go with the Hawaii, beach type wedding, since we both liked beaches. It took a hell of a lot of money and time to plan but looking at it now, I knew it was worth it.

The people we hired to set the wedding up were still placing chairs everywhere and the wedding planner, Suzette, walked up to me, talking on her phone and writing things down on her clipboard, busy as usual.

"Today's the big day," She said to me, still talking to whoever was on the phone.

"Yeah," I frowned, shrugging. She hung up her phone and looked at me with concern on her face.

"Whats wrong? Cold feet?" She asked, noticing the look on my face. "Now, Elite, I spent way too much time planning this gorgeous ass wedding for you to be having second thoughts. You better-"

"Naw, Susie, it ain't like that," I cut her off, seeing that she was clearly getting upset. "I'm just...nervous, you know?"

She smiled, nodding. "Elite, don't trip, okay? You got this. We rehearsed numerous times and you know what to do. And Nicole is a great woman. You don't have anything to be worried about."

I nodded too, dismissing the whole thing. If she only knew that I had a lot to worry about with Amaya being my daughter and Nicole not having a clue about it. I knew I should've told her waaay before and I promised I would've. But I kept putting it off and now its my wedding day and it may be too late to tell her now.

I sighed, sitting at one of the chairs and buried my face in my hands when I felt a hand land on my back. I looked up to see Misty.

"You okay?" She asked. I shook my head no. "Elite, why didn't you just tell her? This shit isn't gonna end well."

"You try telling your fiance and the mother of your child that you got another daughter on the side, Mis," I argued. "It's not easy as reporting the weather."

"Elite, what you gonna do then, huh?" She folded her arms. "You gonna go up there and commit your life to Nicki with this hanging over your conscience? You gonna pretend everything's okay?"

I sucked my teeth, bracing my back in the chair. "Ion know."

"Fine, go ahead. Act like Mymy isn't your daughter. Lie to Nicki in her face and act like shit is all good and dandy."

I stood up. "Why you always pressuring me to do that shit? Ever since you told me Amaya was mine, you been on my ass about telling Nicki. The fuck this has to do with you?"

She looked stunned, but caught an attitude real quick. "Oh hell no, don't come at me like I'm the one that fucked up your relationship. Here I am, trying to be helpful, and you coming at me like that? No you needa watch ya tone."

"Man, Misty, whatever," I said, starting to walk away. She followed me.

"Elite, I'm serious. All the shit you keep in the dark eventually comes to light."

"Okay MIsty, thanks for your advice," I said, annoyed by her. I walked off, leaving her there in the sand by herself.

I walked over to Chris and Janelle, surrounding and talking to someone. Once I got there I was shocked to see Gigi, looking completely different. Her hair was a dark red and she looked like she lost weight.

"Elite!" She squealed, hugging me. I hugged her back.

"Wassup, Gi?" I smiled.

"Oh my god, congratulations! I'm so proud of you and Nicki. Nicki called me to come down for the wedding and I just had to come," She explained.

"Thats good, I'm glad you came. Hows your singing going?"

"Oh my god, I got signed to a label, Elite! Can you believe that?"

I laughed. "Damn, congrats. So you a superstar now, huh?"

"Naw, not yet, but I'll be singing for y'all wedding though."

I nodded, hugging her again. "Thanks, Gigi, its good seeing you again."

Janelle pulled me toward her and fixed my bow tie. "Elite, you are such a mess," She shook her head.

"Where Nicole at?" I asked her.

"Its bad luck to see her," Janelle rolled her eyes. "Haven't you ever heard of the groom not being able to see the bride before the wedding for good luck?"

I scrunched my nose up. "No. Thats dumb."

"Same shit I said," Chris agreed. "I saw you before our wedding and we're fine, Nelle."

She scoffed. "Ugh, men don't understand nothing. Come on, Gi, let's go check on Nicki."

They disappeared and Chris laughed, turning to me. "Aye, bruh, you good?"

"Yeah, I'm cool. Nervous but cool."

"Nicki is special, E, you ain't got shit to worry about. And y'all got a beautiful ass baby together too. You doing the right thing."

"It's not that simple, bro. Shit, its far from simple right now," I sighed.

"What you mean?" He twisted his face up.

I exhaled. "You remember Vanessa?"

He looked up at the sky as if trying to remember. "Shawty that use to be ya therapist?"

"Yeah, her. Well me and her was messing around for lil bit after me and Nicki took a break."

"Soo...?"

"She got pregnant and didn't tell me and now her daughter is mine."

"What?!" Chris exclaimed. I shushed him.

"Man, C, chill," I said, looking around to see if anybody heard.

"Did you tell Nicki?" He asked, now looking just as worried as me.

"Naw."

"Elite, the fuck you waiting for? What if she finds out?"

"Ion know," I shrugged.

"Bro, you gotta tell her. Otherwise this wedding is gonna be a waste of time."

"And how I'm suppose to tell her some shit like that, C?"

"I don't know but you better find a way. Get this off ya chest. She may be mad but I know she'll stick around. She loves you, bro. Besides, y'all got a child together. She ain't got no choice but to stick around."

He walked away and I thought about it. Maybe he was right.

Later that day

I stood at the alter, looking at Nicole walk down the aisle with her arm in her father's. She was beautiful. She wore a long, strapless white dress with her hair in a up-do hairstyle and a white flower and veil in it.

As she walked down the aisle, she was carrying Leigh in her arms, along with a bouquet of flowers. It was truly a beautiful sight. My two favorite females, other than my mom, in my life coming down the aisle toward me.

Nicole and her father finally made their way to me and her father gave her to me and took Leighanne. I smiled down at her, taking her hand and putting her in front of me on the alter. Then I moved her veil from her face.

"You look beautiful, babe," I whispered. She smiled.

"Thank you," She mouthed back.

The pastor continued with the ceremony and I continued staring Nicki in her eyes the whole time, smiling. I just was really happy.

"Elite Siler, do you take Nicole as your lawfully wedded wife?" The pastor asked me.

"I do," I said.

"Nicole Blake do you take Elite as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do," She grinned, as a tear escaped her eye.

"You may now exchange vows."

Nicole took my hand and looked up at me, still smiling. "Baby, you are my world, my best friend, my everything and I love you more than life itself. I love waking up each morning just to see you. I love your voice, your smile, and your heart. And I just love the way you love me. The way you protect me and treat me like precious diamonds."

She paused, beginning to cry. "Elite, you will forever and always be my superman, who saved me from heartbreak and being afraid to love. And baby I'm glad you did because I never would've been able to love you like I do. And be able have a daughter to love too."

I smiled, wiping her tears.

"Elite, its your turn," The pastor said. I nodded and looked down at her pretty, excited eyes. Then I looked up just in time to make eye contact with Vanessa and then Misty, feeling guilty.

"I can't do this shit," I mumbled, letting go of her hands.

"Elite?" She asked, confused. "Whats wrong?"

I sighed. It had to be done. I loved Nicki too much to keep such a big secret from her. I had to tell her. Now.

"Baby, we gotta talk," I said, as everyone, looked on in shock. "Alone."

"Okay, can we?" Nicole asked the pastor. He nodded.

"Please, do. We'll wait," He said.

I took Nicole's hand and walked to the far end of the beach to where nobody was around.

"Elite whats wrong?" She asked, concerned. I sighed.

"Nicole, I got a daughter."

"Yeah, we both do. What are you talking about?"

"Nah, Nic, aside from Leigh. I got another daughter."

"What?" She asked, in shock.

"When we broke up...after the whole Chris situation, I was messing around with Vanessa and she got pregnant by me at the time and never told me."

She ran a hand over her face, crying. "Oh my god, why did you decide to tell me now, Elite? On our wedding day!"

"I don't wanna lose you, Nic, thats why. I love you."

She shook her head, still crying. "When did you find out?"

"... 6 months ago."

"6 months ago?!" She squealed, starting to slam her fists in my chest. "How could you, Elite?!"

"Baby, chill," I grabbed her hands. "I'm sorry."

"No! This is not okay!" She cried, storming back to the wedding.

"Nicole!" I said, chasing behind her.

"Who else knew?!" She yelled, to everyone. "Who else knew about Elite and Vanessa's daughter?"

Gasps came from the crowd but nobody said anything. But it was a dead give away that Chris and Misty knew something by their guilty looks. Nicole shook her head, taking off her ring.

"Its over, Elite!" She said, slamming her ring in my hand. "Its over, okay? I'm taking Leighanne and I'm gone! I'm sorry everyone but the wedding is over.."

She stormed off the beach, leaving me with both rings in my hands. Everyone stood up, walking off, shaking their head at me. I took a seat on the alter, burying my head in my hands, feeling worthless as Chris sat next to me, patting my back.

"Its gonna be iight, Lite."
