" Sophie baby...cmon mamas it's time to wake up" I shook Sophie.
Today we have a meeting with a daycare because i need to go back to college and Jack get's really busy so we have literally nobody to watch her.
Sophie just flipped her little body over, her little thumb in her mouth. I smiled picking her up out of bed.
" We gotta get you in a bath baby...get you all nice and pretty for your interview cutie" I said kissing both of her rosy cheeks.
She giggled laying her head on my shoulder.
" I'm hungry" she said playing with the necklace Jack got me and it made me remember.
He hasn't been home for almost a month...and yes it sucks not being with my...boyfriend...He calls every day and every night which is sweet and after Sophie falls asleep we talk and we laugh a lot...but it's not the same and i miss him so much.
" We can make some breakfast after your bath baby" i said lowering her down to her feet.
" K...can i call daddy after my bath too?" she asked looking up at me.
" Of course you can " I said pulling my phone out my pocket calling Jack right away.

I remember i used to call him bear all the time it kinda came a thing where if i didn't call him that i was most likely angry or in some kinda of pain.
The phone rang and rang before Jack answered, his face appearing on the screen.
" Hey sexy" he winked smiling.
" Hey" i giggled pushing hair behind my ear. " You on your way?" i asked leaning the phone on the sink so i can undress Sophia.
" Yea...Can we ride together though because I wanna catch some lunch after and talk about something" He said looking back and forth from me to his car window. I furrowed my eyebrows confused.
Talk about what?
" Of course...i'm just putting Sophie in for a bath" I said turning the knob checking if the water was good enough for my baby.
" Ok...i should be there in about an hour, there's a lot of traffic" He sighed seeming worried.
" an hour?...The interview is at 11...it's 9:48 and it's already a half an hour drive from here" i furrowed my eyebrows.
" Wait what?..Fuck...uh take your car just in case then...i might be a little late" He sighed glancing at the windshield then at the phone.
I sighed nodding.
" Ok...Sophie wants to talk to you though" I said grabbing my phone handing it to Sophie.

" Sophia Gilinsky?...Has the...Sophia Gilinsky family arrived yet?" the secretary lady asked walking around with a clipboard.
" Uh yes!...Uhm...sorry...We're just waiting for her father...he's running a little late but he said he would be here..." I said raising Sophia on my hip.
" Are you sure? We have other interviews to handle all day and we're booked solid so if he is not here in the next 15 minutes you lose your spot on the waiting list" She said tapping her pen on the notepad...I nodded chewing my lip.
" Ok i'm gonna call and make sure..." i weakly smiled walking outside going straight to Jack's contact.
The phone rung like 3 times before Jack actually answered.
" Hello?Who is it?" He answered panicky.
" Jack, Where the hell are you?" i whisper yelled trying to hold Sophia on my hip.
" I'm trying to make it baby, i promise...I-I just...I had to make a quick stop and the traffic i-it got worse..." He sighed. i closed my eyes taking a deep breath.
" You need to get here in 15 minutes...please hurry" I sighed combing a hand through my hair.
" Yea!...Yea baby don't worry....Everything is gonna be fine a-and i'll be there in like 10 minutes...I love you guys" he said
" I love you too just...please hurry...it was so hard getting this spot we cannot lose it..." i said.
" I know and i'll be there...i gotta go before i get into an accident..." he said speeding through his words.
" Ok...get here...please"

"Sophia Gilinsky?...Sophia Gilinsky?" The secretary called again walking around with a clipboard.
" Here...ugh i'm sorry he is...He's on his way...i pro-"
" It's been 30 minutes now Mrs.Gilinsky...We're gonna have to give Sophia's spot up...i'm terribly sorry" she weakly smiled. No you're not...
" No no...I-It's okay...i'm sorry for the inconvenience" i weakly smiled walking over to Sophia playing with the toys.
The lady nodded walking away while i tried hadder and harder to keep my composure.
How could Jack be so irresponsible, today of all days?...It was so hard trying to find a daycare for Sophie around this time...I can't do everything on my own yet i'm always on my own...
" Cmon princess, time to go home" i sighed picking her up holding her on my hip.
" what about school mommy?" she pulled her eyebrows together confused.
" Uh mommy has to find you a different school baby...lets go get something to eat first yea?" I said kissing her cheek.
" K mommy" she said laying her head on my shoulder.
I sighed grabbing my bag walking down the halls to the front entrance.
" Baby! Baby!...I'm here...i made it!" Jack chuckled running up to us.
" Daddy!" Sophia giggled reaching for him.
" Heyyy cutie pie..." Jack smiled taking her from me, kissing all over her cheeks while she giggled.
normally my heart would warm over the sight of that but right now i am so pissed off i cannot even explain it...I feel so disappointed but confused...Why did he take so long?
" Heyy...what's wrong?...Shouldn't we head in for the meeting?" Jack asked.
" No...Because we lost our spot...now i have to find a baby sitter because all the daycares in this freakin state are booked now...What the he'll happened today Jack?" i whisper yelled trying to make sure Sophie didn't hear me.
" Lost our spot? babysitter?...Baby slow down what happened?" he asked furrowing his eyebrows.
" Since we signed up for the two parent meeting and you showed up way too late...we lost our spot so now i have to find a babysitter o-or something..." i massaged my temples.
" Oh...baby i am so sorry I-I had to make a stop a-and you know the freeway it's...it's crazy...Baby i will fix this...i promise I-"
" No need...cmere Sophie" i said taking her out of his arms. Jack frowned.
" Are we still going to lunch?...Remember...The talk?" he said walking with us to my car.
" Sure whatever...just text me where" i shrugged strapping Sophia in her car seat before walking around to the passenger seat.
" Noni wait...Are you really pissed?...because i'm extremely sorry...I was trying to speed through traffic but it was like everyone was at a complete stop...It barely moved the whole way here...i was trying my best" he said stopping me from closing the door.
" I got here early Jack...there was no traffic at all...But i appreciate you lying to me...."
