Connor groaned in frustration as he held his head in his hands. Never before had he experienced physical pain, but this was agonizing. It had been happening for a few weeks on and off, and each time he tried to make sure Tasha remained unaware since Connor didn't want to worry her, but it didn't take long for her to catch on.
Tasha frowned as she kissed Connor's temples. "It's happening again, isn't it?"
Every day, Connor's head began to hurt and it progressively became worse over time.
Connor nodded, "It.. it's very unpleasant."
"Let's go to Kamski. I'm sure he has to have an answer."
Connor agreed reluctantly. As much as he didn't like the man, he didn't see any other option. Kamski emailed Tasha the location to meetup at but once they arrived Connor instantly felt uneasy.
As they both got out of the car, Connor analyzed their surroundings.
"Tasha, get back in the car." Connor's voice was serious, but the words came too late.
Tasha was thrown onto the ground violently, being kicked until she passed out. The man then came to Connor, injecting his system with a paralysis serum, leaving him immobile. He wanted to scream to her but he couldn't as the man shoved him into the back of a van and drove away.
Tasha regained consciousness, she didn't know how long she had been out. The cars tires were slashed and it was pitch black out. Tasha reached into her back pocket, dialing the first number that came up.
"Gavin!"

When Gavin arrived he immediately jumped out of his car, running towards Tasha who was leaning against a tree. When she noticed him, her shaking body moved in his direction.
"Tasha!"
Through the darkness Gavin saw she was sobbing, that her lip was bleeding and she had bruising on all of her body. When he reached her, she immediately clung onto him, sobbing against his chest.
"He's gone! Connor's gone!"
Gavin rubbed her back, hoping it may calm her down. "Tasha, what are you talking about? What happened?"
Tasha tried to breath between sobs, "We — we were attacked! They — they beat me until I passed out, and — and they must have taken Connor!"
Gavin pulled away from her, realizing how cold her body was. She was only in a tang top and shorts, and it was freezing cold outside. He lifted his shirt off, causing Tasha to look at him in confusion.
"Gavin, what are you—"
He put the shirt on her as gently as he could, noticing the small smile that came to her lips as the tears continued to cascade down her pale cheeks. Once she had it on, he reached a hand out, wiping her tears away. "Look, I don't know what happened, but we will find Connor, Tasha. I promise you, we will find him."
Tasha laughed, shaking her head at Gavin. "You hate Connor."
Gavin's hand rested on her face a little too long, "I don't hate you."
He stared at her for a while, noticing how swollen her lip was, and how many bruises had covered her body. He grabbed onto her hand as he pulled her to the car, wanting to comfort Tasha in any way he could.
The drive to Jericho was hectic. Tasha phoned Hank, warning him about what happened and to get to Jericho and tell Markus. Gavin tried taking the phone from her but she wouldn't budge.
"Tell Tasha she needs to calm down! I may not be able to analyze her like Connor can but her body is shaking like crazy!"
Tasha was then told by Hank to try to relax, before he hung up the phone.
Tasha rested her hands on her legs, frowning slightly. Her brain running every situation through her head how Connor was most likely dead or reset, her body jittering enough that Gavin had to hold her thigh down forcefully to stop her even slightly.
"You're not getting laid when we're looking for my boyfriend, Gavin." She teased, her eyes glancing down at his hand, noticing how even though his hold on her was harsh, there was a softness to it she didn't understand.
Gavin scoffed in reply as he pulled up on the street near Jericho. Before Gavin let her thigh go he gave it a tight squeeze, wishing he could touch her like that more often. But his wants weren't important right now. Tasha was scared and heartbroken, and getting Connor back would be the only way to make her happy again.
As they exited the car, Gavin grabbed onto her arm. Tasha turned to look at him, she looked exhausted. Her lip had quit bleeding and the swelling was going down, and the bruises were becoming less visible.
"We'll find him, Tasha."
"Here's your shirt back." Tasha smiled as she pulled it over her head, holding it out to him.
Gavin smirked slightly as he pulled it over his head. "I think it looked better on you."
"Tasha!"
Markus ran towards them, immediately pulling Tasha into a tight hug.
"I'm—I'm fine, Markus." Tasha mumbled against his chest, only to be pulled against North, who was checking my body over, the duo analyzing her intensely.
Gavin stood there awkwardly as he watched the ordeal. He had never met Deviants, he didn't like androids to begin with — but he could see the way they looked at Tasha with love and adoration, which made him think that maybe they were alright.
"Hank told us what happened. Do you have any idea who took Connor?"
Tasha shook her head, "N-no! I mean, it has to be CyberLife, right?! Who else would take him?"
"You're right, that's our best bet." North says as they all walked towards the command centre.
"Oh yeah. You guys haven't met." Tasha looked at Gavin with a smile, pointing to the two androids. "This is Markus and North."
"It's nice to meet you." Markus held his hand out, "I wish it was under better circumstances."
Tasha watched Gavin closely, her eyes shifting to his hand. Slowly he reached out, shaking Markus' hand. "It's — uh, nice to meet you too. Tasha talks very highly of you both."
Her cheeks turned purple, a small smile on her face.
"C'mon, we can bond later."
