Mingyu's POV

It had been a few days since Y/N's 'storming out' occurred, and she hadn't yet shown her face at school.

I guess she must be pretty mad at us.

But I guess what me and Xiumin did was kinda wrong. We shouldn't have kept that big of a secret from someone like her, one of the closest people to Joshua.

But then again, telling her wouldn't have helped Joshua's situation.

I was just walking down the school corridors, absentmindedly thinking about barbecued beef, and whether I should cook some up today, when Xiumin came into my view.

Literally.

"Yah! Hello Mingyu~? Are you there!" He yelled waving his hand in my face.

"Yeah yes, what!" I snapped, trying to get his hand out from in front of me.

"Okay okay, relax! I was gonna ask if you'd seen Y/N since she..um, you know."
He gestured with his hands Y/N walking out, probably because he found it awkward saying it out loud.

"No, I haven't, actually. I was thinking about it earlier. Like, what if something's up. Like, serious. What if she's seriously mad at us and hates us?!" I started panicking at my overthinking.

"Woah woah, calm yourself! I'm talking about what if something dodgy happened."

Is shot him a look of disbelief.

"What is with you and your pessimistic mind?! Just because Joshua got threatened then kidnapped and beaten up doesn't mean the same thing will happen to someone who hasn't been seen for a few days..." I stopped my sentence, realising how bad it sounded.

"Holy shit Xiumin your right something bad could've happened to her we need to go check!"

I grabbed Xiumin by his bag and dragged him outside.

"Wait. What about our classes?" He stopped himself.

"Forget that we got way more important matters to deal with, Xiumin our friend is in danger and the other one could possibly be in danger. I need to save them if that's the last thing I do, because I wanna be best man at their wedding, not an undertaker at their funerals."

With that we both ran again, to Y/N's house.

Xiumin's POV

As soon as we'd ran up her drive we were practically banging her door down.
Hoping she'd open up and we could possibly resolve our argument.

After what seemed like 2 minutes of screaming her name and pounding on the front door, it unexpectedly swung open, to reveal an unknown woman.

"YES?! Who are you! And what do you want!" She yelled at us, obviously angry.

Wow she must've had a short temper to get frustrated at our polite knocking.

"Uh-ummm.." Mingyu proceeded to look at the ground.

Great, I have to save our souls once again.

I coughed, gaining her attention.

"S-sorry to bother you, ma'am, but we just came around in hopes of possibly seeing Y/N? We thought we could umm.. resolve some past arguments?" I raised my voice a little at the end, emphasising my polite tone, hoping it would get to her.

She just looked at us, confused.

"I'm sorry boys but she isn't home unfortunately. You should come back another time, you see, she's been at her grandparents for two weeks, though she was meant to be back one of these days, I can't remember which though?" Her voice lowered at the end, as if she was asking herself that question.

But both mine and Mingyu's eyes shot up.

Two weeks?

She had been absent from this house for that long?

She'd been staying at my house from the start of those two weeks. So that meant that when she'd stormed out, she hadn't gone home.

I locked eyes with Mingyu, I could tell he was thinking the exact same thing.

And we couldn't possibly tell her mom this.

Oh yes, just to let you know, for those two weeks she's actually been staying at a classmates house- a boy to be exact. And she's actually been missing for a few days after storming out from an argument about her friend, who is missing- and is also a boy.

I shook away that though, only beginning to think of the dangerous outcomes.

I put on my most real smile and grabbed Mingyu, briskly walking back down their drive.

"Th-thank you for that information, ma'am. We shall get going now. Goodbye!" I yelled back hurriedly, before me and Mingyu set off at a run down the road.

We stopped running once we'd reached the cafe, and both stopped for a while to get some coffee and catch our breaths.

As we both sat down at a table, my view wondered to the window, as I racked my brain of possible solutions to this situation we'd both found ourselves in.

Where had Y/N gone to? And was she safe.

Had she possibly found the whereabouts of Joshua, and they're together at this point?

My thoughts were cut of my when Mingyu gasped, and looked at me wide-eyed.

"Xiumin, what if he finds out!"

I looked back at him wide- eyed. He was right.

If Joshua found out he would actually kill us.

It was our responsibility to watch over Y/N and protect her.

Yet we failed to do both.

The sentence that left my mouth next was one I dreaded the most.

"We're going to have to call Joshua."

Joshua's POV

I had just come back from walking around in the park, so it was around 1 in the morning.

I lay on my bed and stared at the ceiling.

My body felt exhausted.

I'd had no sleep this past week, and there was still this unknown feeling in my gut.
Like it knew something was wrong.

Getting no sleep meant my fatigue was building up, but I couldn't simply close my eyes and catch up on the hours I've missed.
Because I was sleepless for one reason and that reason only.
Her.

I grabbed my phone and just started scrolling through my Instagram feed, looking for something to pass these next few hours.

All of a sudden my phone started ringing.

To my surprise, it wasn't the one name that constantly lights up my phone 24/7.

I swiped across Mingyu's face to answer the call, and put the phone to my ear.

"Yes?" I cautiously asked.

It was strange for Mingyu to call out of the blue, what with my situation and everything.

I heard a deep sigh from the other end, indicating he was going to explain something long.

Whilst I subconsciously held my breath, preparing myself for the worst- which I hoped wasn't the case.

"I'm sorry."

That simple sentence made my whole stomach drop.

Okay Joshua, now is the time to actually prepare yourself for the worst.

Please don't be to do with Davina. Please.

"It's Y/N."

I felt the tears start to prick my eyes.

It was happening. My worst nightmare was coming true.

"W-what is it, Hyung?" I whispered, my own voice trembling.

There was another pause on the other end.

"She's gone missing."
