Month 3:
I stood behind her as she hung the Christmas lights on our small tree in the house we had in New York. We decided to spend Christmas in the snow this year.
"Don't you think you started too early?" I asked wrapping my arms around her warmly. Her right hand softly landed on my hands in a comforting manner before she turned to face me
Her face was more relaxed than it had been in a year, I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face
"I like it when you're relaxed" I said to her, I saw a playful smirk grow on her face
"I like feeling relaxed" she responded. I leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. My hands then travelled to her tummy and I rubbed on it softly
"I'm so excited about this... I can't wait to meet him" I spoke with an unwavering smile on my face, one my wife returned
"But I want another girl" she frowned her perfectly soft lips, I perked them in habit
"You want Syre to be the only boy?" I mimicked the frown on her face, she nodded pouting at me. That seemed to only made me laugh
"I can barely keep up with his energy alone" she said still pouting. 10 years later and That still has an effect on me
The past year has probably been the most dramatic in our entire life together. Not only did I have to watch my wife cry for me in jail but I was taunted by the look on my daughter's face while police dragged me off our property.
I was accused and trialed for the murder of Aurelie Moreau. I spent months in prison after being denied bail. The dumb bitch framed me but it was somehow proved that she had actually killed herself.
We also found out that Amir had been depressed because she was being bullied in school for being weird. We discovered that baby girl had a gift, she could tell you everything about your life without you uttering a word to her.
Her mommy and I did everything we could to help her through, she even took a year long break because of everything that was going on.
"Baby I can only handle this many puppy eyes as bribery" I said making her laugh a little. The kids were currently in bed and my wife and I decided to hang the Christmas lights on.
Well she forced me to be honest but because she's so cute with her little belly poking out, it's not like I would've said no.
Once we decided to take a break from the Christmas spirit and just chill on the couch. I gave her hot coconut milk and cookies to her and happily let her relax between my legs on the couch while we watched Christmas movies that were already on every channel
"You remember our first Christmas together?" I asked while absent mindedly rubbing her tummy.
"Oh gosh, yes! You were so nervous trying to make sure everything was perfect. It's the cutest I've ever seen you" she spoke with a chuckle
I playfully rolled my eyes at her, "Yeah yeah whatever" I said hearing her laugh after
"It was the first time I told you I love you too" I said before I kissed her head softly
"You actually said it before... you said it in your sleep but I didn't think anything of it until that day" she said before sipping on her milk
"Really? And why wouldn't you think anything of it?" I asked curiously
"Because we were only dating for a week and you remember how adamant you were on being Bird and never feeling" she said
"I was already declaring my love for you after only a week" I chuckled shaking my head, I'm not even surprised
"I'm even more sure now that that you put some voodoo spell on me to fall for you" I joked making her pinch my thigh in return, that only made me laugh even more.
We watched home alone, the entire chain while relaxing on the couch. I didn't even object now because I knew it's no use.
Every year for the past 10 years it's been our thing or rather my family's thing to watch these stupid movies all day.
"We can watch one of your fav action movies if you want, as long as it's an action movie not no horror" she said making me chuckle
"Nah I'm good baby girl, don't worry about it" I said rubbing on her tummy.
We found out about the little person in her tummy a few months ago. She was getting sick all the time and she had no energy, we thought she caught a bug or something but she refused to go to the doctor.
That is until she fainted and I hurriedly drove her to see a doctor, that brought back so many memories and caused me a panic attack so I was hospitalized too.
I later snuck out of my room and went to see her, I found her left hand resting on her tummy as she slept. Usually watching her sleep is the most beautiful thing on earth to me but in a hospital bed just made me uncomfortable.
After waking her up, she told me that she's carrying our baby, I was confused first as I thought she had her tubes tied but turns out it didn't work.

"This topic is so not innocent this Christmas morning" Zoë said shaking her head
"Oh please Zozo, drop that innocent act. We know you and Mr Graham got it in this morning, he's been giddy since y'all got here" I teased making the girls laugh at Zoë, while she was blushing
"Dick is magical girls, face it" Chloe said making the girls laugh, she's one of the main chicks
The kitchen was full of the ladies as we cooked Christmas lunch, the guys went to buy fire wood while the kids were playing upstairs.
"How's the lil baby treating you?" Kae brushed on My bump before passing
"She's good, much easier to handle than the twins" I said smiling
"She? Y'all are having a girl?" Brenda asked me, I shrugged as response
"Wishful thinking, I cant handle another boy guys I just can't" I pouted making them coo at me.
"That's all Chris nags me for, he wants to have another baby because he's desperate for a boy" Kae said shaking her head
"Raising boys ain't that bad, after the first one it becomes easier" Monica said, she has 3 boys.
"Shit, you're a pro at it and all" Brenda said making us laugh.
I caught Zoë slipping out of the kitchen quietly, I then went to her and found her in the guest bedroom. She was looking through her bags
"Hey Zozo, you okay?" I asked concerned, knowing that the subject might be a bit harder on her
"Yeah, I'm okay" despite the smile on my friend's face, I knew that was the furthest thing from the truth
"Talk to me baby, what's going on?" I asked sitting next to her, Zoë then sighed hard knowing there's no dodging her best friend
"I want a baby, I just... I want to know what this feels like you know, carrying a human inside of you. I want to be a proper wife" my best friend said to me, tears streaming down her face.
"You know... nothing anyone says will change that, that desire to be able to create something that will be yours forever" I started off
"I felt like that too, I begged and cried for it. But it's different for you so I'll never fully understand what you're going through" i continued, the more I spoke the more it seemed that my friend was breaking.
"But baby you can have a baby, you don't have to carry one in order to be a mom. I was a mom before i even had the twins. Rih told me that You don't have to bare children in order to be a proper wife. Your husband to be doesn't mind it so don't put pressure on yourself" I said wrapping my arms around her warmly then kissing the top of her head
She sighed trying to relax herself, after a few moments we finally went back in the kitchen. I found my wife looking for something in the fridge
"What are you looking for?" I asked her, she whipped up before passing me a small smile. She perked my cheek before taking out left over food and a beer. I took them out of her hands
"Baby I'm hungry" she whined, she's so freaking cute when she does that. Pull yourself together Beyoncé
"I know but we're almost done, 10 minutes tops" she pouted before wrapping her arms around me softly, pulling me to her. The look on her face made me blush
"Stahp!" I whined making her grin stupidly at me.
"What? I ain't even do nothing" she said innocently making me roll my eyes at her
"Just go to your friends loser" I said smiling, she licked her bottom lip before placing a soft kiss on my lips. The girls made teasing sounds at that, making me blush even more
Rih left the kitchen laughing while the girls began to tease me.

I dished up for the kids who stayed upstairs before the food was brought to the table. Nana and a few older ladies from the church also joined us.
Rih kept on passing me a look that made me blush while she dished up for me. I don't know what is with us today.
"When is the wedding coming up?" Ms Glenda asked Zoë as the topic of her engagement came up. I wasn't even listen since I was staring at my wife who was sitting across from me.
I could feel my body heat up in arousal while looking at her, she wasn't even paying me any mind. Suddenly I felt myself get upset that wasn't noticing me, I excused myself to my room.
I sat on top of my bed trying to stop tears from falling off my face, a clog of emotion got stuck on my throat and I deeply sighed trying to get rid of it.
A knock on the door seconds later turned my attention away from my feelings. I gazed at my wife who was looking at me from the door way.
"I came to check on you, you alright?" She asked but I have a feeling she already had an answer to that question.
"What's wrong baby?" She asked sitting next to me, i shook my head all of a sudden feeling gloomy.
"Nothing" I sighed out. She shook her head at my answer before turning my head fully to her. That adoring look in her eyes relaxed me.
"It's something, tell me" she said softly. Tears weld up in my eyes again, before I could even stop it one fell on my cheek.
"I'm not attractive anymore, you don't even look at me" I confessed my insecurities to her. As if It was even possible, her face softened up even more.
She didn't say anything but just placed a very tender kiss on my forehead. I closed my eyes at the softness of it
"I love you more than I love myself, I don't know how else I'm supposed to show you" she said softly. My chest tightened at her words
My head fell to her shoulder, I buried my face at the crook of her neck and let tears flow out of my eyes gently.
