You can't believe what you're going to do today.
You're going to confess to Jeon Jungkook.
Yes, your crush/best friend/most popular guy in your school.
Before he was even popular you two were besties.
That friendship soon enough turned into love for you. You just hope that he feels the same way. Yes, you do get jealous of him for being better. I mean he's good looking, smart, popular, and all good things. You wonder if you even deserve his attention and his friendship. And you? You're just one of his best friends. Nothing more, nothing less. That changes today though. Uh...hopefully. You don't plan on confessing in front of the whole school and risk embarrassing yourself because that would be horrible. Instead, you're going to confess after school. You've planned it perfectly. Let's just hope it goes perfectly.
Your phone buzzes, snapping you out of your thoughts. The caller is your other best friend, Myung Hee. You answer it. "Myung Hee, I'm kind of busy thinking about--" "What to wear? Y/n, you better wear the outfit I bought you yesterday because one, it's definitely an eyecatcher. I mean, when have you ever worn a crop top? Two, it wasn't cheap. If I don't see you with it on I will murder you." She threatens. "You could just return it--" "Y/n. Just wear it." She hangs up. You sigh and look at yourself in the mirror. Messy hair and a morning face. How lovely.
You roll your eyes and wash up your face, then head to your closet, getting the outfit Myung Hee bought you. You gulp nervously and put it on.
You comb your hair and look at yourself in the mirror. "Guess the pushups actually worked..." You mumbled, seeing that toned abs are forming. "Y/n noona, we're going to be late if you take any long--" Your brother stares at you through your door frame, eyes wide. You nod and grab your backpack. Seeing his expression you ask, "Taehyung-ah, what?" Taehyung shakes his head. "No. You are not going to school wearing that." He tells you. "I can wear what I want. And that's not the way you talk to your noona." You tell him. "You're only a month older." He said. "Yep, older." You smile and gently push him out of the doorframe to go to the kitchen.
You grab a blueberry muffin and kiss your mother and father goodbye. Taehyung follows. You two walk your way to school while joking, talking, and mini ranting. As you approach the crosswalk nearest to the school, you feel a bunch of eyes on you. Including some whispering. This all makes you nervous. "I told you not to wear that." Taehyung whispers. You roll your eyes and act cool. "It's fine." You spot Myung Hee and go to her.
Myung Hee has this huge smile on her face when seeing you in the outfit. "Yay, Kim Y/n isn't going to die today because she wore the outfit her bestest friend bought her." Myung Hee says, making you chuckle. "It's really hot on you though." Myung Hee compliments. "Thanks--" "Y/n-ah? Is that you?" Your whole body freezes hearing that voice. Your face is bright red and you're terrified to turn around. Myung Hee rolls her eyes at you and turns you around.
You gulp nervously looking at him. "Y/n noona, what are you wearing? I've never seen you in a crop top." He tilts his head cutely. You inhale and exhale. You're making it too obvious, Y/n. You need to chill. "Yeah? Just trying something new." You chuckle. "What gym do you go to?" He asks, obviously noticing you've been working out--WAIT. HE CHECKED YOU OUT. OKAY. OKAY. StAyyyY cAlMM.. "Gym? I don't...I workout at home." You tell him. "You must have a nice routine then," Jungkook says. You nod and look at the time.
"I'm going to be late for first period. See you both at lunch." You tell Jungkook and Myung Hee.
After school
You meet up with Myung Hee. "So when and where are you going to confess?" Myung Hee asks. "I'm going to his house to do some studying. I'll confess to him after we finish." You tell her. "You'll be too distracted." Myung Hee tells you. "I'll be fine—" "Noona, I need to tell you something in private." Jungkook surprisingly states. You look at Myung Hee and blush. "You go Y/n. I have basketball practice to get ready for." Myung Hee winks at you and leaves.
You glare and her and look at Jungkook. "Alright...let's go." You tell him. "Actually- let's go to my house. Then I'll tell you. You can wait, right?" He asks. You nod, even though you are really interested in what he has to say since he does want to talk in private.
The walk was pretty silent. Kind of awkward. His house wasn't far so it wasn't long. "Both of my parents are still on their business trip so it's pretty quiet and lonely." He says, making you slightly panic. You follow him into his room like usual when you come to study, do homework, and hang out.
"So...about that private thing?" You ask. "Well...you know Ara?" Jungkook asks. "Yes..." You reply.
Oh god.
"So she...you know...told me she wanted to talk after school."
Please don't tell me...
"And so I met her alone in a storage closet..."
I don't want to believe you'll say it...
"And she told me she liked me."
But of course, he ends up with someone else...
"And yeah, she's pretty...but I rejected her."
But not this time.
You raise your eyebrow. "Huh? Why? Ara is so pretty and perf—...I should stop talking." You blush. Jungkook chuckles and brushes a strand of your hair behind your ear. "You're so cute Y/n." He says. Your face heats up and your heart...

It's racing.
"Jungkook...what are you doing?..." You ask as his body slowly comes closer to yours. "You never...answered..my question.." You tell him. "I rejected her..because I had someone else in my mind. Someone who is out of this world beautiful even if they don't wear crop tops. Whatever they wear, they are always so gorgeous. On top of that..they have such a wonderful personality." Jungkook stops moving closer when your faces are centimeters apart.
"Jungkook..." You whisper.
"Y/n..." He whispers back.
"I like you-...no-...I love you." Jungkook says no more and presses his lips onto yours. This feeling sends shivers up your spine and you love it. You kiss back with no hesitation. His arms slide down to your waist and they wrap around, pulling your bodies closer.
This kiss is even better than you've imagined. His lips are so soft, his embrace makes you feel so comfortable and safe, and it's all just perfect. You both part went in need of air and attach your foreheads. "Noona-" "Jagiya." You tell him. Jungkook sweetly smiles. "Jagi...will you be mine?" Jungkook asks. You nod and hug him. He returns the hug.
"You know I was going to confess after studying..."
"Haha, I beat you."
"Hey, brat, that's not a very nice thing to say to your noona."
"Yep, my noona. No one else's."
"Jungkook, you can call me Y/n or jagiya."
"Okay, Jagi."
