Joe's POV
A couple of weeks later, we were in Las Vegas. For a week, I would shoot during the day and chilled out at the hotel with Kat afterwards. We've gotten to know each other very well. I feel that we've gotten a lot closer during this trip, which is what I wanted but I feel like she doesn't feel the same way. I haven't exactly said anything and I'm not sure I'm going to. It just seems a little off.
I was on my way back to the hotel when I got a call from a 310 number. I thought it was someone involved with the production company so I just answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey Joe, it's Cali!" She says sounding excited.
"Hey Cali, um how'd you get my number?"
"Kat gave it to me." She says sounding confused.
"Oh..."
"I heard you guys were in Vegas, I'm here too. Let's go out!" She asks
How the hell does she know we're here in the first place?
"....Um, did Kat tell you?" I ask.
"Yeah but she didn't invite me here, if that's what your thinking. I'm back and forth between Vegas and LA all the time for work."
Scratching my head, "Have you talked to her?"
"I called her but she didn't answer."
"Let me talk to her and I'll call you later." I say
"Okay." We hang up.
I can't believe she invited her friend anyway. After I made her promise me that she wouldn't try to hook me up with her friends while we were here. I was upset because I thought we had an understanding and I also thought we were getting along well enough that she wouldn't even think about that. I thought we were having fun. I couldn't wait to get to the hotel to address this issue.
When I got to the hotel, I went straight to her room but she didn't answer. I just went to my suite to call her. When I got in my room, she was there, in the middle of a photoshoot...in bikini bottoms. I completely forgot what I was mad about. She looked amazing!
Looking around, "Hey, you should warn me next time you're going to be in my room half naked." I say smiling.
She laughs, "I'm sorry, I thought we'd be done by now. Take your shirt off, come get in this shot."
"No, I'm not a model, I'll leave that to you."
"I just need you to sit here." She points to the counter and helps me take off my shirt. She takes my hair out of the bun and starts wetting it and styling
"Kat, I don't know what I'm doing."
"Literally just sit here and look to your right." She gets up on the counter, stands in front of me and positions herself between my legs. I just did what she said, sat there and looked to my right. They took a few shots then we were done.
"You're going to look so hot!" She walks over to the photographer and he shows her the shots that was just taken. "Joe, come look at this."
The photographer shows me the pictures of both of us and it actually is a hot picture. I couldn't believe that was me, I'm not a model. The only time I've had photoshoots is for my wrestling company, nothing like this.
"Wow, this is a nice shot. Damn Kat you look-" I catch myself in mid-sentence but I know she already knew what I was going to say.
"If you want we can do another shoot together. Since I look so long." She smiles while walking away. I know she was playing with me but I was so serious.
A few minutes later the photographer was packed up and gone and she changed her clothes.
I kept on what I had on from earlier in the day.
She hated when I wore, "workout clothes" to dinner but I don't care, I was comfortable. We went down to one of the hotel restaurants to grab dinner then we came back to my suite.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" I ask
"Yeah, that'll be fine but you have to be on set super early in the morning."
"I know but I'm not ready to end the night." I say
"What's up with you? You've been acting weird since we've been here."
I sigh, "I don't know, I guess, I'm just missing my family."
"Do you want me to book a flight to Tampa? I can find a break in your schedule." She asks
"That actually would be nice and you can go home too."
"Ok, consider it done. The next time you have a couple of days off, I'll get you a flight."
Going through Netflix, "Let's watch something funny, I need a laugh."
Sitting on the sofa next to me, "Cool."
"Oh, your friend Cali called me."
"She did? I gave her your number weeks ago, she's just now calling?" She asks.
"Yeah, she said she's in Vegas right now. Did you tell her we were here?"
"I told her I was here because she texted me. She said I told her?" she says
"No, not exactly. She said she heard and she said you didn't invite her."
"Because I didn't. So what did she say?" She asks.
"She wants to hang out but I kind of wrapped it up, I told her I would talk to you and call her back." I laugh a little because I forgot, "That was hours ago."
"Believe me, she's fine. She found something to do but you should call her. Take her to dinner tomorrow night."
I shake my head, "I don't know, I might be too tired tomorrow."
"Oh please, you come back and kick it with me everyday after shooting. You can take her out for a couple of hours."
"How about lunch?" I say negotiating.
"If you take her to lunch, you won't have that much time. You only get an hour or so."
"Yeah, that's the point. I can meet her somewhere close to set and come right back." I say.
She shakes hey head, "Why are you so against meeting someone? You might like her but you have to give it a chance."
"Look, I said I'll take her to lunch. That's all I can do."
"Okay, geez."
We watched the movie and she ended up falling asleep in my room. Nothing happened. I took her into my room and I went to sleep on the couch.

The next day, we had to be on set at 5 am. I was super tired from the night before but I just put on sweat pants and a hoodie and was out the door.
Kat came with me too.
I appreciated it because she didn't have to come. I filmed for a few hours, then I met Cali for lunch at a restaurant down the street. Kat stayed on location, in my trailer while I went.
I only wanted to be with Cali a max of like 30 minutes. It's not that I don't like the girl. I'm sure she's nice and she beautiful but I'm simply not interested. I'm only doing this to get Kat to leave me alone about this but the downside of this is will she try to hook me up again?
I walked in and saw Cali sitting at a table.
I walked over and she hugged me and we both sat down. I wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible.
"You look good!" She says
"Thanks, you do too." I'm not lying. Cali is a very pretty girl, just not for me at this time.
"So, how's the movie going?" She asks
"Everything's going good. I can't stay long, I have to be back on set in like 45 minutes. I thought I'd come meet with you and just eat when I get back. I think Kat ordered something."
"Okay that's fine. So I don't mean to sound conceited or anything but I've never had to work this hard to get a guy's attention, like in my life. What's up with you, are you seeing someone?" She asks
"No, I'm actually very single. It's just a little complicated because I'm interested in someone else. I'm sure you're a nice girl and you're very gorgeous but I'm just kind of focused on work right now."
"Okay, I respect your honesty. Why wouldn't you tell me that before though? I feel like I've been texting, calling and trying to talk to you and you've had a few times to say something and you never did. I got Kat constantly asking me if I called or have talked to you. You could have said something a long time ago. That would've saved both of us from Kat's bitching." She laughs
"I didn't mean to create any tension. I'm just in a weird situation. Kat's trying to hook me up with you and her other friends and I'm just not feeling it. I tried telling her but she just keeps on. Kat just doesn't get it. I want her to stop. She doesn't realize I'm not into all that."
She quint's her eyes at me, "So I'm watching you talk and everytime you say Kat's name your eyes kind of light up. Are you not interested in me or anyone else because you're interested in her?"
I run my hands over my face and sigh, "Yeah...Yeah I'm interested in her."
"This is definitely a plot twist!" She smiles, "I knew it! Do you want me to talk to her?"
"No, I'll do it sooner or later. I just don't think she's interested."
"Well I can definitely say when she brought you up to me, she said you're extremely hot and she would jump on it if you weren't her boss. So I think she may be interested but won't act on it because she's your PA."
I smile, "You know, that helps a lot. I've been trying to find the right time to say something to her. I didn't want to mess up anything or make it awkward. You're fine with this, you done feel any type of way about this right?"
"No, I'm good. You two would make a cute couple. Don't worry about me, I have a few guys lined up." She laugh and brushes it off.
"Alright! Well, I'm going to get back to set so I can talk to her." I stand up, "It was nice seeing you. Maybe next time, it'll be on better terms."
We hug, "Yes and good luck!"
"Thanks." I say
"Asshole." I hear her say as I leave.
I got back on set and went straight to my trailer. I only had 20 minutes to talk to Kat. I walked in and she was sitting on the couch reading a book.
"Hey, how'd it go?" She looks up at me and smiles.
"It went okay."
She gets up and walks over to the counter, "I ordered you food." She starts digging through the bag to get my food out, "What happened? Let me guess, not interested again? What's wrong with you?" She jokes
I walk up behind her, "No, I'm not interested."
"Why?"
"Because I'm interested in someone else." She hands me my food.
"Okay, back up! Why are you so close?" She laughs and pushes me out of her way.
I just laugh, "Kat, I'm trying to say something."
She stands in front of me, "What?"
"I don't want her because I want you."
"Me? Really?" She says, surprised.
"Yeah." I put my hands around her waist, "I think we have a connection and I want to see what it is. I know you work for me and everything but forget about that for a minute. Let me take you out."
"On a date?"
I laugh, "Yes, on a date."
"So you like me?"
"Yeah, a lot. I've been trying to find the right time to say something for the last week but the time wasn't presenting itself."
She smiles and nods her head, "Okay, I guess we can go on a date."
"I just need to do one thing first. I've been waiting to do this for a long time."
"What's that?" She asks
"Kiss you."
She smiles and we engage in a kiss. It was quickly interrupted by my door swinging open.
"What are you two doing?"
