Lydia watched Mahdia suspiciously as she walked into the work station. She looked overly dressed for work, V-neck full sleeve floral short jumpsuit reaching her mid-thigh and knee length boots, her open and flowing, bright red lipstick adorned her lips and black kohl in her brown eyes. Mahdia hardly wore lipstick to work, she also seemed to have applied a lot of make-up.
'Today, you two manage the workstation, okay' she ordered Alex and Lydia. She should have sounded serious but a grin made her less serious.
She then retired to her cabin. Lydia looked around for few seconds before walking into her cabin.
Mahdia had been adjusting her hair looking at her reflection on the glass window when Lydia entered her cabin making her jump, alarmed.
'What is the scene, Maddy?' Lydia asked getting straight to the point. Her voice sounded not like an employee or a friend but more like an elder sister. Mahdia looked at her, Lydia stood there with her arms folded across her chest and her head tilted slightly to the right. Mahdia smiled and walked towards her. She hugged Lydia, now it was her turn to be surprised.
'Be careful, babes.' Mahdia frowned when Lydia said this after her long monologue about Ahyan coming back for her.
'What?'
'There is something fishy. He said he is attracted to you, right?' Mahdia nodded, 'then if he tries coming closer to you just don't let him. As in if he tries kissing you or something else. Okay?'
'But why, I love him.' Mahdia protested.
Lydia sighed, she placed her palms on Mahdia's shoulder, 'You are too innocent. Look, it can be a trick too. With men, you must be careful. Maybe he is just looking to get laid and you are the best target. He is saying now, that he is attracted to you and after one month of playing around he will dump you saying it was just an attraction which is over.' Lydia explained patiently.
Mahdia looked slightly worried, 'But why me? and why will he come all the way to Paris just to get laid?' she asked.
Lydia nodded, 'Babes, you are innocent, little too innocent and naïve. But the main thing is that you are young and a virgin. He must have thought of not letting this chance of getting laid with a virgin go out from his hand.'
Mahdia become nervous and worried, she looked wide-eyed at Lydia, 'What do you I do?' she asked
Lydia smiled, 'if he tries kissing you just say you aren't comfortable and if he tries something more just say you are on your periods.' Lydia finished with an evil grin. Mahdia nodded. Lydia is much older than her, she has had dealt with many men and knows how to handle them. So, Mahdia thought it was best to do what she has suggested. A voice inside her head disagreed with Lydia, she is positive Ahyan isn't those type of men.

Mahdia kept glancing suspiciously at Ahyan who is seated beside her at the back of the cab, his eyes glued to his mobile screen. Lydia's words playing inside her mind making her uncomfortable and scared. They are going to be together to see one of the properties Ahyan had liked. Since the old man, the landlord is hard-core French man Ahyan was happy that Mahdia has come with him.
The cab stopped, Ahyan turned to look at Mahdia who has her head turned facing the window. Ahyan placed his hand on her shoulder and she jumped startling him.
He looked confused by her reaction. Mahdia closed her eyes and took a deep breath, relieved.
Ahyan looked at her with his right eyebrow raised. She shook her head trying to calm her nerves. He climbed down the car. Mahdia mentally cursed herself for wearing a short dress. She never felt uncomfortable wearing a short dress in her life but she is regretting wearing one now. She climbed down from the other side.
'This is the first place.' Ahyan looked at her. She nodded. He noticed something different in her body language, he wondered if she is nervous but, why should she?
Ahyan is impressed by the way Mahdia handled the old man, her French accent flawless and there is just the right about of confidence in her body language and boldness in her voice. It is hard to believe that she is a clumsy timid girl. Ahyan admired her. Even though she handled things well, it didn't work and they had to reject the deal.
Few houses hunting later, Ahyan stopped Mahdia, 'Shall we have lunch? Near my new hotel?' he smiled at her.
'Sure.' Mahdia combed her hair with her fingers. As Ahyan watched her fingers disappear into her thick light brown hair he had a crazy urge to touch her hair, he wanted to run his fingers through her lustrous locks. He controlled his urges and looked away. A few seconds later, he looked at her again, 'After lunch, I can show you the rooms of the hotel.' He said casually. Mahdia froze, suddenly Lydia's face swam in front of her eyes and her voice echoed in her head and she gulped nervously.
