I stood there in disbelief as Jayde played the guitar. I had know idea she could play at all and she was absoulutely AMAZING! I went and sat on the bed as I recognised the song she was playing. She was playing one of my songs, Mistletoe. I was about to come in and sing along to the tune but she stopped me.
"No Justin, let me.", she winked.
I sat there and watched as she restarted the song, but this time she sang with it. My mouth dropped and I stared at her with what was probably the most shocked expression I have ever made. Her voice, I had never heard anything so amazing and beautiful in my life!. I was sitting there asking myself why this girl wasn't famous yet.
She finished the song and I clapped and cheered her on. I heard clapping from behind me too. Mum had come in when she heard it wasn't me singing.
"Bravo, bravo!", my mum and I both said at the same time.
"You like it?", she asked me with a smile.
"Like it? No. Love it? YES!", I went on and on about how good she was. She started blushing.
"Thats not all though. I have lots more talents that you should know about."
I looked at her and smiled. I was so confused. Here in front of me was this amazing, beautiful talented girl and she has never shared her talents with anyone before.
She picked up the guitar again but this time I didn't know the song. She started singing and again I got lost in her voice. I had never heard this song before. When she finished we clapped her on again.
"What song was that? It was beautiful.", I asked her.
"It's called Dance into the NIght." she told and smiled.
"Who wrote?" , my mum asked her.
"I did!", she said with an excited voice.
"YOU WHAT!", my mum and I exclaimed at the same time.
'i wrote it. Why are you so shocked?" she asked looking puzzled.
"Why are we so shocked? I'll tell you why. Because that song sounded prefessional! Thats why. I thought you were playing a hit song by someone really famous!", I yelled at her and I couldn't stop smiling. There was a miracle sitting in front of me.
"Wait. You said lots more more talents. Whats the other ones?", I asked and lifted an eyebrow showing that I was confused.
She got up and walked out the room. She went and sat at the piano that was in the living room. I followed her. Could she play piano too!? When she started playing my question was answered. YES, she could definately play piano too.
I didn't reckonise the piece she played and when I asked her she had wrote that to. I was about to faint and yet she still had more talents I didn't know about.
"Your amazing Jayde! What other talents do you have?" I asked her anxious to hear what she had to say.
"Um, I can play the saxophone, I can juggle, I can ride a skate board, I can swim as in I was a professional swimmer and I entered into the olympics two years ago, I am RELLY smart like I have a photographic memory or something like that, I design video games, I can sew, I an flexible beacause I used to do gymnastics and last but not least, I can dance, hip-hop, ballet, Jazz, ballroom and tap.", She smile at us and laughed.
My mouth was wide open and so was my mums. This girl should go on some talent show or something, anything! She was still laughing at us 5 minutes later and we were still in the same position.
"Come on guys, It's not that big of a deal.", she clicked her fingers in front of our faces until we came out of our shocked state.
"Oh my Gosh! JAYDE! You are amazing! I need to get my manager on the phone. He needs to hear you", I yelled with happiness.
I picked up my phone and called Scooter..
"Hay, what's up man?! Oh i'm great, great. Hay, listen. I think I just found the next big thing. Yeah, Uh Huh. Come over, quickly! Oh and bring a saxophone. No questions. Okay man. Your awsome. Thanks. Bye.", I hung up the phone and my mum was clapping and Jayde was just staring at me.
"Jayde, your going to meet Scooter, my manager in about an hour. He is going to listen to the song you wrote on guitar and the one on piano. He is bringing a saxophone and your going to play him something on that too. Your also going to show him a dance routine from, hip-hop and jazz. Can you do that?:, I asked her hoping she agrees.
"Um yeah I'm pretty sure I can", she smiled and hugged me. Then she hugged my mum.
"Im so proud of you!", she said and they split up the hug.
"Okay Jayde come into my room and practise your guitar playing, your dancing and warm up your voice. it's almost showtime!"
Scooter got to my place about lunch time and he brought the saxophone with him. He rang the doorbell and I answered the door.
"Heey, what's up?", He said .
"Oh nothing just found the next big thing since, well, me.", i laughed and so did he.
"Well who is it?", he asked. Not seeing anyone but me.
"SHE, is sitting in my room. Pracitising to show you what shes got.", I told him and lead him into my room.
"So it's a she talent you found, aye?", he smiled, "This will be fun."
When we opened the door of my room Scooter saw who she was, Jayde.
"This is the girl that saved your life. Isn't it?", he asked me confused.
"Yeah, I am. Hi, I'm Jayde. Nice to meet you.", she said holding out her hand for a handshake and he shook her hand in return.
"Okay Jayde, I'm on a tight squedule. Lets see what you got.", he rushed us along.
"You might want to sit down." I whipered to him. He sat on the end of my bed.
Jayde started playing the song she wrote and his face showed confusion. He obviously was wondering what song this was but when Jayde started singing, he smiled.
When she finished he cheered her. "You are amazing, what song was that?", he asked her. I was smiling.
"It's called Dance into the Night, and I wrote it!." , looked so happy.
"You wrote that?!", Scooter was shocked. "Wow! What else can you do?
I grabbed the saxophone off him an handed it to Jayde. I haven't heard her play this yet so I was interested.
She started playing and I straight away got into the rythm. When she was done her cheaks were red and she was smiling.
"I wrote that too.", she said and giggled.
"You wrote that too?", Scooter was shocked then he turned to me, "She wrote that too!", he said to me and a big smile formed across his face. She then got up and went over to the piano where she played the other song she wrote.
"I don' think he had seen so much fresh talent in a long time.", I whispered to Jayde when she finished her song on piano.
We both looked over to Scooter who was staring open mouthed at the piano. We both laughed and clicked our fingers in front of his face.
"Wow. You got some great talent there girl. But look, I have to go cause I got a meeting in 15minutes so...", I cut him off.
"Thats not all she has to show you.", I winked at her and smiled at him.
"Okay, what else you got?", he said and looked over at Jayde.
"I can dance!", she yelled and got up and showed him her Jazz and Hip-hop routines.
Scooter stood up and walked over to the door.
"Justin I don't know how, but you stumbled upon an star right there. I've got to go but i'll definatley be in touch." he said witha serious look and started singing Jaydes song to himself as he got in the car. I shut the door.
"YOU DID IT! He thinks your a hit!", I turned and ran up to her.
"OH.MY.GOSH. I just preformed for your, your manager. If he liked it will I be famous!?", she asked me.
"Yes Jayde you will! You will!", I kissed her and gave her the biggest hug.
My mum stood in the doorway and clapped.
"Well done darling!", she said and pushed me away so she could hug her.
"Hate to break up this little moment, but mum you left the tap in the kitchen running." I laughed.
"Oh my!" she ran and turned it off just as the sink overflowed.
Jayde and I laughed at her and went to help wipe up the water. When we finished cleaning up I said,
" Well, this calls for a celebration!"
