The song is Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. I recommend listening to it during this chapter.

So, does anyone remember when Eiling was in a chapter and I said it wouldn't be relevant for a little while? No? Well my bad, it was like seven chapters ago. Anyways, if you want to go back and recap I believe it is at the very end of chapter 15.

Enjoy.

"Subject was found inside base walls, no ID, and was armed with several high-class military weapons," he paused pulling on a pair of latex gloves before continuing. "Tell me, who are you working for?"

The prisoner remained quiet, slightly pulling at the cuffs that tied him to the uncomfortable, wooden chair.

"So, you want to do this the hard way," he gripped the mans chin, forcing the trapped figure to look at him. "I'll give you one last chance. Who are you working for?"

The man used the one self defense he had and spit on Eiling's face, causing him to back away in disgust. He cleaned off his face with a slightly dirty handkerchief before laughing.

"Now, this is all on you. The only way I will stop, is if you tell me who you are working for."

The general walked to a small table, picking up several small, metal tools before deciding he liked one with a knife-like end the best.

He walked back slowly, attempting to build up a fear in the young man.  To his liking, the white boy's breathing sped up and a tightness followed up his throat.

Suddenly, Eiling stabbed the metal into the man's leg, a loud grunt leaving his lips before he became quiet again, but his breathing remained rough.

"You're a tough one," he smiled before walking back over to the table and grabbed a pair of pliers, "this is going to be fun."

The door to Barry's apartment was unlocked when the blonde arrived. She entered without knocking and quickly noticed the brunette sitting on a black couch. He was wrapped in a brown blanket when he noticed the door open.

"Hey," she smiled, slipping off her tan sweater before walking over to the couch. He smiled nervously. "What's up?"

"Something has to be up for me to want to see you," he questioned happily, holding in laughter.

"Well I don't know," Bethany threw her head back on the couch, "it just seemed like you had something you wanted to talk about."

"Ok, yeah, you got me," he sat up as though he needed her full attention. He took a deep breath before speaking. "Remember the night when," he paused taking a shaky breath, "when I asked you about your scars and we..."

"Kissed," she finished for him.

"Yeah," he rubbed the back of his neck. "I guess I just realized we never really talked about it. Even though it was so long ago..."

"Well, what is there to talk about?" The blonde finally took her eyes off of the wall to face Barry, his face full of seriousness yet his features were gentle.

"I guess, I was just curious if it meant something," he said, but it came out as a question.

"Well, I figured you didn't think anything of it because we acted like it didn't happen." A hint of sadness snuck into her voice.

"Did you want it to mean something?"

Over a year ago, a blonde women named Bethany Howard, who had previously been legally dead, reappeared after fighting for her life for five years. She went through hell, but she knew that when she got home, it would be worth it when she reunited with the people she loved. Yet, only a month after she had been back, a guy she had been in love with her whole life, which she would never admit to, was put in a coma after they were both struck by lightening. In the nine months he was going in and out of flat lining, Bethany understood just how much she felt for Barry. Eventually, he woke up and the two had been forever busy playing the roles of heroes in their City that was tormented by Metahumans that were created by the explosion of the particle accelerator. It never seemed possible that things would slow down and allow for even a slice of normal, but here they were.

"Yes." The word slipped through her lips sending a hot feeling throughout her body either from embarrassment or insecurity, she didn't know.

They both slowly looked at each other, the blonde's blue-green eyes looking deeply into Barry's purely emerald ones. His body slowly moved forward, a deja vu swarming over the two like a wave when his lips met hers.

Softly, she kissed back, her hands finding the sides of his face before gliding over his shoulders and down his back, lightly pulling him towards her so that he was on top.

She just needed to feel him, more of him, it was as though every time his hands made contact with her broken skin...it wasn't so broken anymore.

Slowly, Barry kissed Bethany's lips, then the corner of her mouth, her cheek, her jaw, all the way down to her neck. The kisses were small, short, and were a sort of sweet that Bethany was sure she had never felt before. Suddenly, he stopped, holding himself up slightly so he could see Bethany's face.

"This is okay, right," he questioned eagerly, carefully moving her hair behind her ear.

"God Yes, Barry," she moaned, slightly pulling him back down again, but this time, instead of the kisses being soft, they became harder and more passionate.

In the meantime, a soft tongue ran over Bethany's lips begging for entrance, which she accepted as she began to tug at the hem of Barry's shirt. He understood her notion, quickly pausing to pull it over his shoulders before continuing.

Their tongues moved in a sort of dance as though it had been rehearsed millions of times, both fighting for dominance or the lead role. Barry won, exploring the blonde's mouth with ease.

Before Bethany was aware, Barry had been messing with her shirt as well before he removed it, leaving her in a white bralette.

The moment seemed perfect, it seemed as though it was impossible for it to be ruined, but the universe had its ways.

Gently, Barry placed Bethany's hands above her head and held them in place as he kissed back down her neck and sucked on a sweet spot. The blonde moaned lightly before a memory came to mind.

She was tied up, her ankles and wrists stuck in place as a man took a taser to her lower back, she gasped in pain until it stopped.

"I think I'll give you one last chance," it was a man. Amanda Waller had instructed him to do whatever it took to get an answer out of the blonde. "Where is Oliver Queen?"

Her head was limp, the ropes the only method of keeping her up right, luckily her stubbornness worked in her favor.

They're lips continued to move in sync, Barry's hands gliding ever so carefully over Bethany's side and down to her lower back.

The torturous device made contact with her flesh again, a burning sensation spiraling from her fingertips all the way down to her toes. Her body clenched in pain, a whimper quietly leaving her mouth just like the only life she could still feel.

"Try something else," the very women in charge demanded. The man only looked at her with a scowl.

"We've been trying all night, ma'am."

Barry's hand moved down to her upper leg, causing her to slightly jolt, the fear beginning to set in.

"All right," she groaned, "we'll move her to E. unit. Just give me a moment," she paused, waiting for the man to leave, but he stayed put. "Alone."

As the man left, Waller walked over to a small table and picked up a sharp blade.

The brunette began to make his way from the blonde's neck, where a purple mark now laid, to her stomach.

"I'd just like to make sure that it is clear to you who is in charge around here," lightly, she placed the knife on the blonde's lower stomach. Harshly, she put pressure on the end of the blade, a deep red exposing itself as Bethany began to scream.

She gasped, quickly trying to free herself from Barry's grip. Loosing control of her own reflexes, she pushed Barry off of her once she was free and sat up scooting away.

Barry watched her carefully, worry filled his eyes, he couldn't help but feel as though he did something wrong.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled, slowly leaning back towards her to kiss her again, but she dodged it, placing her hand on his chest to keep him away. "I thought it was okay," he said confused, a depressed tone to his voice as he kept his distance.

Her breath was harsh, a sort of panic added to it as though the oxygen in the air was running out.

"Bethany," he whispered worriedly, attempting to pull her closer to him, which she allowed. "Talk to me."

"I'm sorry," she gasped, bringing her hands up to her face. "I just, I just-"

"Did I do something wrong?" She looked up at him through her eyelashes, almost begging him not to make her talk to him about it, but the scared look on his face was too much for her to remain quiet.

"No. No, Barry. I just, I just had a...flashback."
She never liked the word. It always made people worry and assume the worst, not that it wasn't the worst. Barry glanced sadly at her before wrapping his arms around her torso.

"It's okay. You're okay."

~~~
The night had been long, but eventually the sun had risen, and Bethany went to work having nothing better to do at the moment since everyone else was at StarLabs.
"So, a man went into the university and just killed a professor named Quinten Quale, and left?"
"Well," Joe said, taking a sip of his coffee, "many people reported that the man was burning."
"A burning man," Bethany thought out loud, "so like a metahuman?"
"I guess so," he took another sip of his coffee before moving closer to Bethany's desk to lean against it. "We'll just need to work on finding this guy before he hurts anyone else."
"I agree, do we have any leads on where he might be?"
"Not currently, but maybe I should go work on that right now," Joe said, straightening out his posture before moving towards the doorway. "Call me if you find anything new." He walked out before popping his head back in one more time, "and be careful."
She sent a sarcastic thumbs up his way before the office was empty besides herself, but she wasn't alone.
"Miss Howard," a voice spoke, a familiar, dark voice that sent shivers down her spine. As if she had known he was going to be there, Bethany immediately grabbed a knife that was hidden on the bottom of her desk and turned around, holding the knife to the intruders neck.
"You really have the nerve to come into my office, let alone the same room as me," she questioned threateningly, putting more pressure on the man's neck, yet he seemed immune to her anger.
She squinted her eyes up and down at the generals uniform, several honoring badges sitting on his chest that Bethany knew he didn't deserve.
"Are you gonna keep the knife there all day or are you gonna put it down so we can talk?"
"Talk? Eiling, we both know you don't just talk."
"And we both know that experiment E9 is active in your system."
She closed her eyes before dropping the knife and taking a step back towards her desk.
"Now, here's the thing, I've been having issues recently with prisoners and their will to talk, but with your abilities, they wouldn't need to even open their mouths."
"What makes you think I would ever help you?" Her voice was bitter, but everything Eiling had ever been was bitter.
"Well, I've conjured up some motivation." He opened up his jacket and pulled out two thick sheets of paper. "You know Barry Allen right, or, better yet, the Flash." He dropped two pictures onto the table.
The first one was a picture of Barry and Bethany from the previous night, their lips together as well as their bodies. The second one was of the two sleeping, Barry's arms protectively wrapped around Bethany as she slept.
"If you'd prefer lover boy's and your own identities, and yes I know you're Dash, to be kept secret, then I suggest you do as I say." He began to walk out of the room, a over confident strut following behind. "Just give me a call when you make up your mind. You have forty-eight hours before both your Alias' are revealed to ever citizen in this rotting city.
A/N
This may be one of my favorite chapters.
So, what did you guys think of the make out scene? I know it isn't the best, but I actually tried really hard to make it sound good, so it would be great to get some feedback on that, and maybe if you guys enjoyed it, then there will be more 😉😌.
Anyways, if you enjoyed this chapter be sure to vote and comment as those two things motivate me to keep writing.
Also, holy this book just hit 8k. Still isn't a lot compared to other books but I never thought it would be growing at the rate it is.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck by me through this awfully written book, you are highly appreciated.
Byeeeeeee.
