Michael's POV
"What's going on?" I asked when I walked into the living room.
"Nothing, I'm looking for my bracelet." Luke replied, his hands digging into the creases of the sofa.
"What bracelet." I asked him.
"It's the bracelet the boys got me along with Miss J." He said.
"Mickey as well?" I asked.
"No, it was for my birthday two years ago, they got me that. They picked it out and Miss J paid for it." He explained.
"Is it a little silver bracelet, with little pink diamonds?" I asked him.
"Yes! That's it. Have you seen it?" He asked me.
"Mm, I have."
"Well? Where is it?" He asked me.
"In the kitchen. On the counter." I said to him. He rushed to it and then returned, placing it back on his wrist. I don't how I've never noticed it.
"Thank you, Michael." He said to me.
"No problem. What are you doing around noon?" I asked him.
"I'm not sure. The boys wanted to go to the lake, not sure if you know it." He said.
"What lake?"
"The one right in the forest." He replied.
"Oh that one. Yes I know it." I said. "Is it okay if I join you all?" I asked.
"Sure, might be good for Mickey to be around you again. He missed you." He stated.
"I'll meet you there around noon then." I said.
"Alrighty. See you then." He said walking away.
I sat down on the sofa, placed my feet on the coffee table, and just began to think. My wold has been going crazy a lot lately. He somehow needs something of Luke to calm down, and it has me extremely confused as to why we would need something from a former mate. Someone whom we rejected, someone whom we don't want, someone whom we don't have any bond too. But still, there's a need to be feeling close to him. I don't feel the connection of being with him, but yet I do. It's very confusing and it has me with a lot of questions. The nightmares hasn't stopped and it just seems to be getting worse and worse.
Then there's Nelson, I'm attracted to him, but not romantically. Sure, the sex is good and all, but it only started as a plan to get him and Luke to break up. Now it's just something that's normal. He also doesn't feel romantically attracted to me, so what's the point of messing around still. I don't see the point of it but it just happens.
As for Luke, I don't want him to be with another person, I just cant bare to see him with another person. Sure it may be selfish but I want him to myself...I mean I want him to be his old weak self. When I saw who his new mate was, it ticked something in me. I was extremely angered by it. I guess you can say I was jealous, or you can just say I'm being selfish for not wanting him with someone, someone who apparently is better for him. Lately, I've been thinking of what life would be like if I didn't reject. And If I wasn't as mean to him. Would we have been both happier.
I sighed and got off the sofa and walked down the hall, then into my father's office. There, was my mother along with Justin.
"Hey, son. What's wrong? You look upset." My mother stated.
"I don't know what's going on." I said.
"What do you mean, Michael?" My father asked.
I sat next to Justin and sighed. "I feel some weird and unknown connection towards Luke, all of a sudden." I said.
"Probably cause he has a new mate." Justin stated.
"That's true. Your wolf hasn't accepted the fact that he has someone else." My mother added.
"Yeah, but all our bonds are broken." I stated.
"You are probably feeling guilty. As is your wolf." My mother stated.
"Guilty about what?" I asked.
"Isn't it obvious, Michael. For the way you treated. For the way we all treated him." My father said, which surprised me.
"It wasn't my fault, nor was it any of our fault. He's an omega for fuck sake. He's weak and can't do anything." I said.
"Michael we all know that's not true. Luke's an omega, yes, but he isn't week." My mother stated.
"He beat the crap out of you." Justin said, which made my father laugh. "And he could to all of us." He added.
"Yeah so what?" I asked.
"It's not about his powers." My mother said. "He survived a rejection, he survived banishment, he managed to raise 4 children on his own, and he's so young. He's stronger and any of us here. I personally know that I won't survive a rejection, far yet for banishment." She said.
"I agree with your mother. As big and strong as I am. If I was rejected by her, I wouldn't of been able to handle that." My father said.
"Same dude. They have a point." Justin added. "Mum and Dad even realized that when the spoke to me about it. They said the same thing your parents said." He added.
"I don't know. It's very confusing to me." I said.
"You'll figure it soon, son. I hope." My mother said.
"I'll see you guys later." I said getting up and leaving my father's office.
I walked through the house and then out into the yard. I pulled out my phone and saw that it was 12:33 pm. I put it back into my jeans and slowly walked into the forest. I looked at the trees, the sky and then the ground. The wind blowing into my face. I stopped when I forgot how to get to the lake. I thought until I remembered. I turned around and walked a little further, taking the track that was made, which leads straight to the lake. I followed it until I started to hear laughter and little screams, followed by splashes of the water. A smile instantly came across my face when I saw the view. It was Luke chasing after the boys, the boys screaming and laughing, running into the water to escape from the attempt of Luke catching them, and also laughter from Luke.
"Hey, Luke." I acknowledged towards him.
"'ey, you actually came." He said, getting out of the water.
"Yeah, you seem surprise." I said.
"I am actually." He said.
"Why's that?" I asked.
"Don't know. It's you, so I'm not sure if you keep your word or not."
"That's somewhat true." I said.
"Daddy!" Mickey said, rushing to me. I lifted up, he hugged.
"Hey, bud. Having fun?" I asked. He nodded and asked to be set back down. I set him down, and he rushed back into the lake with his brothers. "May I sit with you?" I asked Luke, who was now sitting on a rock chewing on an apple I assumed he took from the basket that was next to him. He nodded and continued to eat the apple. I sat on the blanket that was placed there.
"Want something to eat?" He asked.
"Sure." I replied. He dug through the basket, soon pulling out a zip lock bag with and handed it to me. He then pulled out a canned coke and handed that to me also. I thanked him and proceeded to eating the sandwich, which tasted amazing. Luke's cooking has always been the best I've ever had.
"Boys when you're ready, come eat please." He said towards the boys.
"Yes, Mummy." They said together.
"Do they always answer you in sync like that?" I asked.
He chuckled and said. "Yes, before they met Mickey, they have always answered me in sync, then when Mickey came around, he somehow picked it up because now he does it." he explained.
"It's scary." I said while laughing a little.
"You get used to it after years of it." He said with a smile.
"Speaking of that..." I started. "... I'm sorry about making you go through that." I said.
"I don't understand." He said.
"I just want to say sorry for everything I have done to you." I said.
"Go on." He said to my statement.
"I should not have banished you. I should not have taken Mickey away from you. I shouldn't have physically hurt you like I did. I shouldn't have rejected you, I shouldn't of emotional damaged you. I just very sorry. For everything. I really mean it." I said honestly.
"I don't know what to say." He said.
"Can you just say you forgive me? Please?" I pleaded.
"I don't know, Michael." He said again.
"I don't expect you to forgive me right away. I won't have forgiven me if I were you. I just want you to know how truly sorry I am. For doing those things to you and for ruining what you had with Nelson." I said.
"I'll think about it, but I appreciate that you finally apologized."
"I truly am sorry. I fucked up and it was just because I allowed my rank to get to me and the way people talked about omegas, it just seemed true to me. But I was wrong. You aren't weak, you aren't worthless, and you diffidently aren't a piece of shit." I said. "You proved me and everyone else wrong. You raised the pups better than I raised Mickey and since you came into his life, I have seen a huge difference. A positive difference. You managed to raise pups while mending a broken heart, rejection, banishment. I see how you are with them, and it's incredible, Luke. You truly are more that what I thought." I stated.
"Wow, Michael. T-That means a lot." He said.
"I don't expect you to take me back because you have your new mate, but I ask of you to forgive me and allow me to be a part of the boys life." I stated.
"I'll think about it Michael. As for the boys, it's up to them. I'm not going to force them into being a part of your life if they doesn't want to." He said. "They've already been hurt by you and by Nelson, and now they're growing into Eryk and I have hope in him that he won't hurt them too. And if they choose to be a part of your life, I'll go along with it, but if they don't, then you'd have to live with it." He added.
"That's understandable." I said.
"Alright, care to join us in the lake now?" He asked.
"Yes, sure." I said.
"Oh, can you just turn on the radio there please." He requested.
I turned it on and a funky, dance type of song came on. The boys including Mickey started to sing along. I removed my shirt and joined Luke and the boys in the lake. One of the boys, whom name I don't know, I guess Luke may have told me but I never paid attention, the boy he went and got a ball. We started to toss the ball to each other. I won't lie, I enjoyed spending time with them. And I hope to get to know them better.
It was getting dark and Luke decided it was time to leave, and he has dinner with his mate and that the boys was also going along. I felt a little jealous but I couldn't do anything about that. I helped then pack the basket and then we all walked out the forest, away from the lake, and then soon into the forest free grounds. We then entered the house, Luke telling the boys to go shower and change from their wet clothes. I followed him into the kitchen where he threw away the thrash from the basket, placed the leftover fruits on the counter.
"I'm putting these here for who ever, if you want you can also take." He said placing the sandwiches next to the bowl of fruit. "I'll think about what you said and I'll talk to the boys about the other thing. Now if you would excuse me, I have to get ready for dinner with my hot mate." He said leaving the kitchen.
I went up to my room, went into the bathroom. I changed and took a shower. "If only I didn't reject him." I said to myself, which shocked me because it just came out out of mouth unknowingly.
