Michael's POV
"Mickey, come here." I called him as he passed my office door.
"Yes, daddy?" He looked at me.
"Sit down, I need to speak with you."
"What about?" He asked while munching down on a sandwich. I figured it was time to tell him about Luke. Not all truth, of course.
"About your mum" I said. His face lit up with happiness.
"Really?" He asked smiling, his sandwich at the side of him now.
"Yes but you won't like it. There's a reason he isn't here anymore, Mickey." I looked at him.
"What do you mean, daddy?"
"When you were born, he didn't want you. You had 3 other brothers and they died at birth. He was devastated by it and he left" I explained. His face fell into a hurt expression.
"Mummy didn't want me?" His voice cracked.
"I'm sorry, son. But it's the truth. He didn't care for you, he didn't love you." I said. He sniffed a little then looked at me and said.
"I love you, daddy. If mummy don't love me then I don't love him." He said getting off the chair and came up to hug me.
"I love you too, Mickey. Finish your sandwich in your room, okay?"
"Yes, daddy." He said leaving the room. "Hello, auntie" he said on his way out. I looked up and saw Taylor standing there shaking her head. She stepped in the room with my mother on her heals behind her.
"Do you think that was the right thing to do?" My mother said folding her arms. "What if one day he somehow manage to see Luke, you're going to make him hate Luke for something he didn't do? Is that really how you want your son to grow up? Do you want him to grow up hating his other parent?" She questioned.
"How would I look if I told him the truth?" I questioned back.
"You're such an asshole" Taylor said leaving the room. I sighed and rocked back on the chair.
"And for you to even say that his brothers died, what is your problem? He may have seemed to take it well but you don't know what's going on in his mind. What is wrong with you?" She shook her head looking disappointed.
"Look, it's my son, I can do what I want and I can tell him what I want." I said to her.
"This is not the son I raised. I think we made a mistake by treating Luke like that. You should be ashamed of yourself." She said then left the too, mumbling to herself.
I got off the chair and walked towards Mickey room. As I was about to open the door I heard what sounds like crying coming from behind his door. I opened it slightly and peeped in.
"I wish my mummy loved me." He said holding up the blanket and laying down on the bed. I sighed and walked downstairs.
As I entered the kitchen, the emergency siren went off. My head warrior ran into the kitchen.
"Alpha, we're being attacked. They're on the south side." He said.
"Get the warriors, get the other pack members in the safe room, now!" I said running upstairs. I walked into Mickey's room, picked up and started walking down to the safe room. When we reached, most of the pack was already in there, it's a large underground room.
"Stay here with grandma and auntie, daddy will be right back, okay?" I asked him.
"Yes, daddy." He said and walked next to my mother.
I exited the safe room, making sure they locked it from the inside.
"Group one guard here, group two, patrol the other sides of the pack and the rest of you come with me."
"Yes, Alpha." They all said. Within seconds each of us removed our clothing and shifted. Group one and two going in positions and the remainders waiting for me. I howled in the air signalling for us to go.
My wolf aware of what's going on, I ran into the forest of the south side, sniffing through the air when a similar scent hit my nose. I stopped and sniffed the ground when a wolf jumped out of nowhere. He bit down on my arm which did no effect to me. I jumped on the tree nearby making him fall all. I then jumped down to him and bit down on his throat, ripping it off. With that, I looked around, my warriors battling with other wolfs.
After 45 minutes or so of fighting and defeating those who attacked, another wolf jumped out and shifted.
"John, it's not safe here. What're you doing out here." I said as I shifted. I felt a hard force against my face. Then I realized that John just punched me.
"Where's the book, Michael?" Hr asked me.
"What're you talking about?" I asked him.
"The book your elder was researching things on, where is it?" He asked again.
"Why do you want it?" I asked him.
"With it, I'll be able to know everything about your pack including the pack's inheritance." He said.
"So, you just used me?" I asked, my wolf urging to shift.
"Why else would I he with you, why else would I marry you. With you dead, everything including this pack will be mine." He said as he shifted.
I shifted back in a second just before he launched at me. "So you were behind this?" I asked him.
"Yes I was, now it's time for you to die." He launched at me again, biting down on my stomach and leg. His claws digging into my neck. I looked st him, giving my wolf full power now.
I kicked him off of me with my back legs, then launched at him. I dug my class into his neck, ripping out his throat.
I shifted back and looked down at him. "What's the report?" I asked the head warrior.
"The attackers are all dead, as for our pack, 2 warriors lost their lives in the battle. Both had no mate or pup so it'd be easier." He explained.
"Pill up all the bodies and get them into the pit and burn it." I said then walking towards the safe room.
"I'd like to apologize to everyone for the attack. It was called in by John, as you know the man I married and the no longer Luna of this pack. It was a successful battle with only two lives being lost on our end. I'd like to give my condolences to the families of those brave warriors. As for me, I promise to not make a foolish move like that and I promise to not put this pack in danger." I said. Cheers erupted along with howls for those who lost their lives. Everyone then went to their respected homes and rooms.

Two weeks later
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear, Mickey, happy birthday to you." The pack sang to Mickey.
Mickey blew out the candles on the big cake and then proceeded to opening gifts. After he opened presents, we had party for him with members of a visiting pack being here too.
The party was now finished and Mickey, my mother, my father, Justin, Mr and Mrs Moore along with Taylor and myself, we sat in the backyard, Mickey in the middle as we await for his first transformation.
"Close your eyes and wait until you hair a voice in your head." I told him.
"I hear it." He said cheerfully.
"Okay now, it'll hurt a little but just relax and be brave." I said to him. Within a few seconds, the sound of bones cracking filled out ears along with the sound if Mickey's cry. The calm night now being windy and gloomy. We closed our eyes from the bright light that surrounded Mickey.
I opened my eyes and saw sitting in the middle was a wolf with a mixture of brown, grey, and black fur looking at us. His wolf was big as to normal pups who would shift at this age as him being an alpha wolf.
"Son, what color was Luke's wolf?" My dad asked me.
"I don't know. Anyone knows?"
"Nope. No. Nu-uh." Was the response of the others.
"Okay son, on the count of three, you'll howl then shift back." I said. "One, two, three." He howled and then shifted back after a few seconds.
"Daddy, did you see?" He said walking up to me.
"I sure did, you have a very good looking wolf." I smiled. "Alright let's go inside.
"Night Nanas and grandpas and auntie and uncle." He said to everyone. We all walked into the pack house and to our rooms.
Mickey hopped in his bed and closed his eyes. "Goodnight, Daddy." He said.
"Goodnight, son." I replied fixing the cover over him. I went into my room now, and sat on the bed.
How could John do this to me? I sighed and lay on the bed.
