I sit back in my bed and sigh, wincing at the pain running through my back, a hand pressed gently on my stomach.
"Hey" Robin whispers softly with a smile, entering the room and closing the door behind him
"Hey" I smile back
"I got you some water to help you swallow your painkillers" he sighs, holding it out to me with a bendy straw
"Thank you" I smile, trying to sit up but the pain is too much
"Here, let me help" Robin offers, putting the glass down on the table and helping me to sit up
"Thank you" I whisper, grabbing my pills and glass as he props up the pillows against the headboard
"How are you feeling?" he asks, sitting in the chair beside me and taking my free hand
"Sore, bruised, the list goes on" I sigh
"I'm sorry, god I'm so sorry, this is all my fault" he mumbles
"Robin, why are you sorry? This isn't your fault! You didn't know it was Maleficent, none of us did for that matter, it wouldn't have made a difference if you did, I would have been hurt either way. Do you understand me?" I say sternly
"Even so, I shouldn't have left you in the first place, you were the woman I loved, I shouldn't have hurt you the way I did" he argues
"It's okay, I understand, she was your wife once, the mother of your own son, you loved her, you probably always will do, it's okay, we all get blinded by love sometimes" I reassure him, squeezing his hand softly
"I love you Regina" he whispers, kissing my forehead softly
"I love you too" I whisper back
"Now tell me, how is our little one doing?" he giggles, placing a hand softly on my stomach
