After finishing their grocery shopping at the supermarket, the couple walked to Emily's house and dropped their purchases on the kitchen counter, deciding to go for a walk around the block to pass the time.

The closer they got back to the Fields household, the more anxious Alison seemed to get. She couldn't help but wonder what kinds of consequences -or rather experiences - tonight would hold, but there was no way to know unless she walked straight into the unknown.

By the time they came back to the house, Pam was the one to open the door for them. The woman smiled warmly at her daughter, and when her eyes found Alison, she was met apprehension, which was so different from the mischievous, somewhat-cocky glint that they usually held. She placated the girl's fears with a welcoming smile and the blonde's smiled back, breathing a bit easier.

"Alison, you're welcome to stay until your parents get here. They said they'll be arriving in-" she peeked at her wristwatch and a look of dismay dawned upon her face, "-fifteen minutes. Oh God, I'm going to get dressed. Emily, honey, keep an eye on the chicken, would you?" Pam babbled quickly as she untied the apron from around her waist and climbed up the stairs swiftly.

"Wow. I don't think I've ever seen her so jumpy," Emily pointed out, raising her eyebrow.

"Well, you know my parents. They can be kind of... tense. Maybe it's because of that?" Alison offered.

"Maybe," Emily shrugged, still staring at the stairs even though her mother was long gone.

"Come on," the blonde pulled her out of her thought, tugging her hand in the direction of the kitchen.

Emily checked on the chicken like Pam had asked her to, turning at the sound of the front door opening to find her father closing it behind him as he walked in, wearing a suit. "Hey, dad," Emily greeted.

He was holding a bouquet of daisies and smiled as he looked up to see his daughter and her newly-found-girlfriend. "Hey, Emmy, Alison," he returned the favor, acting almost childishly.

Alison offered him a smile and Emily looked down at the flowers in his hand. "Did you buy those for the dinner?" she asked as she pointed to the bouquet.

"No, actually, I bought them for your mom. She seemed a little nervous earlier today, I thought I'd surprise her," he explained to the girls and they both shared a small grin at his words. Emily knew just how much her parents loved and looked out for one another, and she hoped to have a marriage as strong and beautiful as theirs one day. Hopefully with one particular blonde.

"She's upstairs getting ready," Emily said. She barely blinked before he was already flying upstairs, holding the flowers proudly.

"Your parents are adorable," Alison stated and laughed as she watched Wayne sprint out of sight. Emily gave her a shy smile and was about to respond when-

DIIIING!

Emily had forgotten just how loud their doorbell was and flinched when it rang. She heard footsteps approaching closer and saw her parents descending the stairs quickly.

Pam adjusted her outfit and opened the door. "Ken, Jessica, please come in," she smiled kindly and opened the door wider for them. Alison's parents stepped inside the house wearing brand new clothes they had bought especially for the dinner and holding a bottle of white wine. Jessica hugged Pam and Wayne while Kenneth hugged Pam and firmly shook Wayne's hand. Emily greeted Alison's parents, not finding it as awkward as she thought it would be, and soon, they were all seated down at the table.

"Wine?" Wayne asked the rest of the grown-ups. Jessica and Ken agreed while Pam settled for a soft drink. After Pam placed down all of the plates, they began eating gracefully. Emily held Alison's hand tightly under the table as she felt herself slowly growing more and more agitated. She loved Alison with all her heart, and she wanted Jessica and Ken to like her, though, as far as Alison's mother went, she was pretty sure Jessica liked her a whole lot. Besides, something about Ali's parents made her feel intimidated at times. Just as Alison was 'teen royalty' in their high school, her parents were some of the most influential people in town, along with the Hastings, the Kahns and a few other wealthy families.

Alison on the other hand, quite loved being around Emily's parents and found herself quickly enjoying their company. Unlike her own parents, Pam and Wayne were more down to earth, more relaxed, less... untouchable.

They began eating and chatting lightheartedly, doing their best to do exactly as Pam had anticipated - getting to know each other better and finding their own place in this, admittedly, unusual situation. Ken and Wayne were discussing sports and Wayne's time in the army while Jessica and Pam were talking about a new Italian restaurant that had just opened in Philadelphia.

Alison used the opportunity to turn to Emily, "Em?"

Emily's eyes lifted to hers and she smiled. "Yeah?"

Alison looked away for a moment before meeting Emily's eyes once more in an earnest gaze. "Was it weird having Noel with us today? Be honest," she asked apprehensively.

"No, not at all actually. He was really nice. You were right, he's more than the jerk people think he is." Emily reassured her, making Alison grin brightly. Alison was so proud of Noel for coming around, and proud of her friends and her girlfriend for giving him a chance.

"So, girls, are you two excited about your trip?" Wayne asked, causing both girls to break their gaze and turn back to the table. Emily and Alison had both told their parents about the trip to Paris a mere few days ago, and it seemed to Emily that their parents were more excited than they were, which she didn't think was even possible.

Pam was, in all honesty, a bit more than apprehensive about the whole thing when Emily first presented the idea, but with Wayne's assures that it would be a great adventure for their daughter, and Emily's promises that she would give her regular updates and that she would have all of her friends with her to watch out for her, the woman ended up agreeing. Emily's enthusiastic babbling when she'd told her parents about the plans she and her friends had made for the Europian city was ultimately the thing that got Pam to accept, though.

"Of course. Paris is a place we've always wanted to go to. Right, Em?" Alison directed the question at the brunette as she gave Emily's hand a squeeze under the table.

"Yeah, we're all really excited," Emily answered with a sweet smile, her mind already fantasizing about the whole thing.

They all continued eating in comfortable silence, discussing some more things here and there. When they were finished, everyone thanked Pam for her delicious foods and welcoming hospitality. They stayed around the table for a while, still talking and even laughing, and everything seemed to pass smoothly, like it was meant to be. Emily was very glad to have had this night in order to, in a way, clear the air with both of their families in regards to the two girls' relationship.

"I have to admit you two look absolutely delightful. Mind if I take your picture?" Jessica asked animatedly as she pulled out her phone.

"Mom!" Alison whined and looked at her mother with a pleading gaze.

Emily laughed shyly and turned at Jessica. "Sure," she answered willingly.

Emily got up for the sake of the picture, walked behind Alison, and placed her chin atop of the blonde's shoulder as she bent down. Emily couldn't help but place a small kiss on Alison's blushing cheek, whispered in her ear, "I love you."

Alison grinned from ear to ear at that and they both smiled pleasantly as Jessica took the picture. "Mom, send me that picture," the blonde requested and Jessica nodded.

They moved to the living room after clearing their plates, and decided to end the night with a movie since it wasn't too late and the girls had no school due to summer vacation. Emily picked out a movie since no one else volunteered to do it and Wayne popped the disc inside the DVD player.

"The Conjuring? Really?" Alison asked in exasperation as she turned to Emily who was sitting next to her on the loveseat. Emily smiled at her sheepishly and looked at the screen.

"You know how much I love my horror movies," she answered in triumph.

Alison turned to the screen as the movie started and held onto the brunette's hand softly. When the first jumpscare came in the movie, Alison clutched Emily's hand tightly, and Jessica secretly used the opportunity to pull out her phone and document the moment. She sent Alison both pictures and the blonde reached for her phone when it beeped.

Mom: My two favorite girls:

Alison saved both photos to her gallery and lifted her gaze to meet her mother's. They smiled at each other appreciatively and Alison shook her head with a small chuckle, shifting to show the pictures to Emily.

When they were getting quite bored of the movie, since they had both watched it already, Emily and Alison decided to go up to the brunette's room for a bit while the movie played out, their parents already too invested to stop. They reached the room and Alison folded her arms and leaned her shoulder against the doorframe while Emily walked over and sat down in her desk chair. The swimmer spun to see the blonde examining the room as if it was her first time being there.

"What are you looking at?" Emily asked in a soft tone.

"I've never noticed just how... cozy your room is. Mine's too robotic," Alison stated bitterly. "I mean, I have that same freaking Paris bed sheet for as long as I can remember and my mom forces me to do my bed every morning. It's almost like a show house."

"I love your room. And that Paris bed sheet," Emily answered timidly and smiled.

"Well, I don't," Alison argued, then held a small smirk as she added cheekily, "but I love you."

"Love you too," Emily answered earnestly as she kept her gaze locked with Alison's.

Before they could get too lost in each other's gaze, as they tended to do, Alison got a sudden spontaneous idea. "We should put some music on. We used to do that, right?" the blonde asked all of a sudden as she took out her phone and walked over to the speaker.

"Uh, I'm not sure if that's the best idea... I mean, our parents are downstairs and I don't want to disturb-"

"Em, relax, I'll put it on low volume," Alison assured as she plugged her iPhone to the red speaker. She fiddled with a few buttons before pressing play. The slow music faded in the room and Alison looked over to Emily who was frowning, trying to recognize the song. Emily knew she had heard that song from somewhere, and when the singer started singing, it hit her.

'Of course! I love this song!' Emily thought as she smiled and looked away. Emily listened as Crazy In Love by Beyonce, the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' version, started playing.

*I suggest listening to this song in the background while reading ❤*

She looked at Alison and was pleasantly surprised when she found the blonde already looking at her with an expression that could only be described as hungry. Alison's eyes turned from ocean blue to cloudy azure, then almost pitch black in a matter of seconds and Emily had to admit, having this kind of effect on Alison was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because she, herself, had made her girlfriend so stimulated that her eyes turned darker, but a curse since now there was no way that she could possibly hide her own blush from the blonde. Emily's eyes turned overcast as well as she gulped and instinctively looked down.

Alison walked over to her slowly and stopped in front of her.

You got me looking, so crazy, my baby, I'm not myself lately, I'm foolish, I don't do this.

The song played slowly and faintly through the speakers, but it was mere background for the scene playing out between Alison and Emily. The blonde placed a finger under Emily's chin and lifted it. Their gaze met and it felt like was now unbreakable, and Alison involuntarily bit her lip at Emily's beauty as the song continued to play on. She wasted no time straddling the brunette's lap on the chair in one smooth movement and began singing along to the song in a raspy, seductive voice that made Emily shiver with excitement and arousal.

"I look and stare so deep in your eyes, I touch on you more and more every time," Alison sang along to the tedious rhythm of the song and caught in the corner of her eye how Emily bit her lip tortuously while she shyly struggled to maintain eye contact with her.

"Got me looking so crazy right now, your love's got me looking so crazy right now," Alison placed her arms comfortably around Emily's shoulders and leaned closer as she continued to sing along, "Got me hoping you'll save me right now, your kiss got me hoping you'll save me right now." Emily gulped and her mouth fell agape as her arms automatically wrapped around the blonde's waist, pulling them flush together, much to the queen bee's pleasure. Alison angled her face down so that her mouth would be hovering an inch away from Emily's neck, and the brunette shuddered all over as Alison trailed her lips down the length it, almost-touching but not quite. It was sweet torture, and Emily's throat was dry, her breath gradually hitching. She couldn't believe just how undeniably seductive and hot her girlfriend was. She was completely under Alison's spell, and the blonde loved every second of it.

"Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh, oh no no." Alison finished the song without her usual DiLaurentis smirk. She couldn't smirk, because no other emotion other than pure appetite rushed through her body. Once the song finished, Emily's hands lightly tightened against the blonde's hips. With their bodies now flushed together on the chair, and Alison's eyes dropping to the brunette's awaiting lips, Emily leaned in to kiss Alison-

"Girls!" Mrs. Dilaurentis called from downstairs. "Dessert is ready!" Emily and Alison practically jumped away from each other to Jessica's voice, thinking she was right outside the room, catching them in one of their most private moments ever. They sighed in relief when they realized the voice was coming from downstairs and with Alison now standing up, she pulled Emily up with her.

"Next time." Alison whispered and pecked Emily on the lips. Emily tried her hardest to hide her disappointment, and failed miserably as her entire face fell. She secretly cursed Mrs. DiLaurentis for interrupting their moment. 'And for what? some dessert? This was better than any dessert in the world.' Emily thought.

They went downstairs after making sure they looked decent and met up with their parents, who were now sitting at the table, playing cards. They each grabbed a plate with delicious-looking berry and ice cream shortcakes and sat down to eat along with the adults. Once done, Ken and Jessica announced that it was getting late and that they should get going. They gathered their things and thanked the Fields for a lovely night, bidding their goodbyes. Alison gave Emily a short kiss on the cheek as a goodbye. Before she left, she whispered to her, "We'll finish what we started another time," awarding Emily with a wink that, thankfully, Pam and Wayne didn't see. The brunette was still blushing by the time Alison waved to her before getting into her father's car along with her parents and driving off.

Emily turned to her parents, who settled down on the living room couch and sat next to them, tiredness taking over her. It was a great night that went better than she'd expected. "Mom, why was it so important to have Ali here tonight?" she asked innocently.

"I wanted to see the two of you together." Pam answered with a smile after a few seconds of silence. Emily smiled back at her mother. 'Who knew my mom ships Emison?' the brunette joked to herself.

"Thank you," she said in the most grateful tone she could muster. Her parents gave her a slightly confused look.

"For what, Emmy?" Wayne asked genuinely.

"I know it wasn't easy, accepting me and Alison, but-" Emily was cut off by Pam.

"Honey, about that... I'm sorry I overreacted that night at the restaurant. The whole thing just came as a total shock to me, and my mind didn't give me a chance to respond properly. But, I want you to know that your father and I love you so much. We love you enough to accept you for who you are. And Alison really is a lovely girl, she clearly cares a whole deal about you, and anyone who cares about you and loves you that much, is a perfect match for you in my eyes," Pam said reassuringly, moving to place a loving kiss on her daughter's forehead.

That was all Emily needed to hear in order to sleep well at night. She wished goodnight to her parents and went up to her room to sleep, praying that she would get do dream about her blonde beauty.

Looking at it now, Emily actually found herself thanking Mrs. DiLaurentis for interrupting them when she did, because had she come up to the room herself to tell them the dessert was ready, and consequentially, caught them doing something that was definitely not innocent, they would've had a lot of explaining to do.
