A multi-millionaire, Steve receives a cheque for 2 million. As Steve has to leave for work in a hurry, he places the cheque in his drawer, locks the draw and gives the key to each of his maids, so that they can clean the drawer later that afternoon.
After a long days work he returns home, opens the drawer, and the cheque is gone. He immediately goes to the first maid, Anna, and asks her where she put the cheque.
She says she put it under a cooking book on his work desk.
He then goes to the second maid, Sophia, and asks her where she had put the cheque. She said she put the cheque between the pages 1 and 2 to keep it safe.
He then goes to the last maid, Maria, who says she saw the cheque fall out the cooking book and placed it between the pages 2 and three.
