Wattpad makes it possible for their members to post a status on their profiles. Status messages make it possible to keep everyone who visits your page updated on what's going on, and when you have fans, your status updates will show up in their news feeds.

When you’re not on your profile already, go to the  drop down menu that appears when you click on your mini display picture at the top of the page, there where it says “Hi username” and click on “My Profile

At the top of your profile page, you can update your status.  This status can be up to 140 characters long. When you’re done typing, click “update” and your new status will show on your profile.

When you’ve linked your Facebook, Twitter and/or Tumblr account to your profile, you can decide whether or not to share your status update on there as well. All you have to do is click on the small icons to disable/enable this. (Gray icons mean your status update won’t be shared on that site)
