He hated when I came to his games, not because he was embarrassed to be seen with me or anything but because, he didn't like me in this part of town. He thought it was too dangerous, and that I couldn't protect myself. But he had this pull on me. I couldn't stay away, every Friday I was at one of his games, no matter what sport; football, basketball, or track......... I just had to see Seven, be near him. It sucked that we went to different schools and he was always at practice but that never stopped him from calling to check on me, to make sure I was alright, to make sure I didn't need ANYTHING. I watched as he ran down the field knowing that nobody was going to catch him. He got to the end zone and scored, the crowd went nuts as the clock slowly winded down. Still undefeated. The entire school swarmed the field, but I stayed in the stands, this was his moment. But even the crowd couldn't stop our eye's from meeting. I remember him once telling me, "No matter how many people our watching me, I can always find the one that matters most." I left the stands to wait outside for Seven to finish showering everything, this was my least favorite part of the night being away from him, not being able to see him, and of course the whispers start.
"Yeah that's him.........."
"Seven's lil boyfriend............"
"He could do better..............."
"Seven's too good for his stuck up ass............."
During the game I could drown them out, but out here there was no escaping it. I sat on the hood of me 07' Impala waiting for Seven, when Raymond and his friends walked up to me. I hated Raymond, he was dark almost black, just as tall and skinny as I was, he always wore his hair in different colors with the matching finger nails, (I guess today red was his theme), and he always, always had something to say to me.
"Hey you stuck up, white wash, nobody." I didn't say anything mostly because I wasn't going to let him ruin my night. "Damn I guess he to good to speak. That aight because one of these days I'm going to fuck, that sexy piece of chocolate called Seven, then he going to see who's sittin there like they rule the world." I stood up, he was really starting to piss me off. "Oh you wanna jump bad aight let's go." Raymond said flicking off all of his nails.
"IS THERE A FUCKIN PROBLEM?" Seven said walking up. He walked over to me pulling me into a hug. "What you doing here Ty?" He whispered in my ear.
"I came to see you."
"I told you bout that, but we'll talk about that some more tonight."
"All night."
"You know it." He said kissing me gently on the neck. "Now what's the fuckin problem Raymond?"
"Nothin daddy....... I mean Seven, we were just talkin." Raymond said innocently.
"Yo stay the fuck away from my dude, matter fact next time I see you even look at him wrong we gonna have some problems, understood."
"Yes Seven wit yo fine ass." Seven completely ignored Raymond and turned towards me.
"You ready babe?" He asked looking me in my eyes.
"Yes you?"
"Yea let's go." We got in the car and drove off heading towards my house. "Ayy your parents home?" Seven asked. I didn't say anything, my parents hated Seven. Especially my mom, she believes Seven is the Devil himself. "I take your silence as a yes then."
"Seven we'll go straight to my room you don't have to say anything to them." I said trying to keep the peace before thing got outta hand.
"Nah I'm good, I'm going to say hello then let them know I'm bout to fuck their son." He said with a smile.
"Seven.........."
"Man I'm just fucking with you Ty, you know I'ma be respectful. Only cuz you my babe." Seven never let my parents piss him off, which drove them crazy, as we pulled up to my house I saw my mom looking out the window. I already knew she was bout to start.
"You sure you want to come in?" I asked Seven one more time.
"Yea let's go." He said hopping out the car. The only thing that went through my mind was 'here we go.'
