Louis

We reached her house and now we were standing on the front porch. She was fumbling with the keys and her frustration was growing every second.

"Why don't you f*cking open?! Stupid door!" She screams as she threw the keys that ended up on the ground.

I couldn't help but smile in amusement while crouching down to pick up the keys.

"Well, this stupid door wouldn't open itself if you stopped trying to open it, would it?" I said as I tried every key in her key holder. On the fifth key, the door clicked. "There you go."

"Thanks." she said, "Do you want to come in?" she asked.

"Do you want me to? I mean if you want to be alone-"

"Louis, I've been alone in this house for as long as I remember. And I tell you, it isn't fun." She said as she opened the door widely and gestured for me to come in. I did as I was told and she followed suit then she flicked the lights on.

"Make yourself at h-" she paused as she yawned, "-home. I'll just make you something." she said as she slowly made her way to the kitchen.

"El." I said as I sat on the couch.

"What do you like?" she stopped walking then leaned on the doorway of the kitchen, still talking.

"El."

"Tea?"

"El!"

"Coffee?"

"Eleanor!"

"I mean I love coffee so there's tons-- what?" she finally noticed me.

"Aren't you tired? Its like-" I paused to look at the time at my wristwatch, but then I remembered I didn't have one on. So I looked around the house to but I didn't see any wall clock either, "-Late."

She chuckled and picked up her purse to pull out her phone. "It's 2AM so I guess you're right. It's late."

I grinned. "I talk sh*t when it's late. Sorry."

"I see that."

I faked a gasp, "Are you sassing on me? I'm the sass masta' from Doncasta', just so you know."

"Should I bow down?" she got along.

"No, you should kiss my foot."

"You mean your stinky foot? Thanks but no thanks, master."

"Fair enough. How about my hand?"

"What are you, my granny?"

"No. I'm a leprechaun."

"I believe that should be Niall."

"Okay then I'm a koala. That's cuter anyway."

She approached me while I was still talking and took me aback when she planted a kiss on my cheek. "How about that, sass master? Would you spare me my punishment now?"

"There's a proper way to kiss," I pointed my lips, fooling around.

She laughed, "I'm not kissing a koala on the lips."

I playfully pouted and she pinched my cheek while sitting beside me.

"Where are your parents?" I asked since she said she was always alone in this house.

"They're in US, or atleast that's what they say. They've been there since I was, like, ten. They come here occasionally."

"You're living alone since you were ten?!" I asked, still shocked on the little revelation. I mean come on! That wasn't safe for a pretty little girl like her!

"No. I mean, sort of. I lived with my aunts and other relatives but my parents gave me this house when I turned eighteen and that's when I started living alone, officially."

"Why are they so far away from you?"

"Actually, they're not in US, I guess. I think they got a divorce and left on their separate ways and might be living with their new families, we never know. I've only been telling everyone that lame excuse everytime because that's what my parents told me everytime I asked them myself. But let's face it, I'm not nine year old to believe that petty excuse, am I?"

I looked at this stunning girl beside me straight to the eyes and I couldn't help my growing adoration. She'd been deprived of love and care for a long d*mn time yet look at her, still smiling at me like she didn't care.

"But I don't really dwell on it. I've already accepted the fact that sh*t happens yet life goes on. It won't stop for me so all I could do is never let it stop me from living an awesome life either." she smiled.

I smiled back, "That, my friend, is one he*l of a speech." she chuckled.

This girl never failed to amuse me.

I dumbly looked at my wrist again, forgetting the fact that it didn't have a watch on and I face-palmed. She laughed.

"I guess I'm gonna go." I said, not really wanting to leave.

"Yeah, I guess." she hesitantly said.

I cocked my head to the side, pondering if I should leave her alone. But then again, she might wanted to be.

"Are you sure you're okay alone?" I asked as I stood up.

"Yeah..." she trailed off.

What did it mean if she said yes but then she look hesitant about it? Ugh, girls.

"Lock all the doors and windows, okay babe?" I said as I made may way to the front door. She followed me but she was looking down. I cupped her chin. "What's wrong?"

She looked apprehensive. "Nothing. Bye, Louis."

I squinted my eyes. I wasn't a mind-reader but this gave off easily. Does she want me to stay? I smiled.

I held the door knob and I saw her eyes focused on my hand. When she thought I was going to open it I quickly locked it then grabbed her hand and soon, I was dragging her upstairs.

"What are you doing?" she asked. I couldn't help but notice that her eyes sparkled a little. She wants me to stay.

"I'm going to sleep, how about you? What do you plan to do?" I rhetorically asked. She smiled.

**

I sat by her side as she laid on her bed. I decided to stay there until she falls asleep then sleep on the couch downstairs myself. I figured she'd still be scared of being alone because of what happened earlier so she wanted me to spend the night. She insisted I sleep beside her but I declined, I guessed that would make her uncomfortable thus, me sleeping on the couch later.

Her eyes were closed and her full lips were slightly parted as puffs of air came out of it. Her breathing was even, indicating she was already asleep. I tucked the strands of hair that were covering her face behind her ear.

"It kills me to know that you have been alone your whole life, El."

I caressed her cheek and stared at her for a while.

"You don't deserve it."

I held her hand and kissed the back of it. Then I made the decision I knew I would never regret.

I'd stay by your side.

Not just tonight. Not just until tomorrow.

I'll look after you, El.

Eleanor

I woke up to the smell of brewed coffee and bacon. Then immediately, I smiled. I ran downstairs two steps at a time and almost flew in the kitchen.

I saw two cups of coffee on the counter and my heart just melt. Then I quickly grabbed one.

"Mmm." I moaned. Coffee is life.

Louis jumped then turned around slowly while holding a plate with two sandwiches on it.

"Did you just-" he cut himself off.

"What?" I asked, confused. He looked away then I saw his adam's apple bobbed up and down. And it was... Sexy.

"Nothing." he said as he put the plate infront of me, not making eye contact.

"I think I should invite you here more often." I said while snatching one sandwich from the plate and stuffing it in my face.

He laughed. "I think you should hire me as your kitchen helper."

I swallowed before talking. "Nah, too expensive. I mean what are friends are for?" I said.

He just laughed at me while shaking his head. Idiot, he thought I was kidding.

I took notice of his clothing and it wasn't the same as yesterday. Did he went home? How long have I been asleep?

"You changed your clothes." I said. Wow, El as if that isn't obvious already.

"Whaaaat? Nooooo." he drawled sarcastically, "Just dyed my shirt a different color that's all."

"Shut up." I rolled my eyes.

He laughed, "Fine, I went home to change. But you were too deep in your slumber that when I came back, you were still asleep. You were sleep talking by the way."

I flushed. Was I? That would be so embarassing!

"What did I say?"

"Don't worry. It was an absolute nonsense." he shrugged.

"What time is it?" I asked.

He smiled before looking at his wrist that now had an actual wristwatch, "Well, according to my wristwatch," I laughed, "It's already eleven-thirty."

"And you're all dressed up at this hour because?"

"There's a party the boys and I will go to later."

I furrowed my brows, "Isn't it too early for a party?"

"No, it's at six PM."

"And you're dressed up already?" I scanned his clothing. Black shirt beneath a denim jacket, black skin tight pants and vans. His hair was messy in a stylish way.

He was looking hot, I must say. Too early for the party but hot.

"It would be tiring to go drive back and forth my house, you know?"

"So you're saying, you're dressed up already because you don't want to go back to your house later because you're hanging out with me?"

"No. I'm saying, I dressed up and went here so you can tell me how hot I am." he shot back.

"Smooth." I smirked.

"So?" he looked at me expectantly.

Oh.

I scanned his entirety. He wasn't Harry-hot where he has a noticable broad back that you could see his shoulder muscle flexes on the expanse of it through his shirt when he moves-- you get the idea.

He was the kind of hot that was slim and lean yet firm. The kind of hot where you don't need to do animate actions just to put him into your embrace yet you could feel the firmness of his biceps and abs. Let's not forget the abs. Hot wasn't the right word.

I pickep up my cup of coffee and raised it.

"Looking fine and sexy, Tomlinson." I complimented 'forcefully' then sipped my coffee. Then again I moaned at how I loved it.

He frowned at me. "Don't do that."

I frowned back. "What? You asked for it!" I defended.

"No, not that!"

"Then what?"

He groaned, "Nevermind."

I rolled my eyes, "You know, most of the time, I don't know what's going on in your mind."

He laughed, "Trust me, you don't wanna know."

My eyes widened. "Louis!"

"What?"

I rolled my eyes before changing the subject. "So," I started then I sipped on my coffee before continuing, "Whose party is it?"

He eyed me skeptically before talking, "Someone's."

I cocked an eyebrow, "Why don't you want to tell me?"

"You don't need to know."

"But I want to!"

"Nope, not telling." he dramatically zipped his mouth.

"Fine." I said.

"Fine." he shot back.

"Gosh, you're infuriating!" I snapped.

"I'm aware, thank you very much." he sarcastically said.

"Louis, just tell me."

"You wouldn't drop it, would you?"

"You bet."

He sighed, "It's Taylor's, okay?"

And you've got to be f*cking kidding me.
