Swimming at a waterfall was always fun. You and your boyfriend, Wesley, were doing competitions to see who could get higher and then jump off. You scaled the slippery rocks, pulling yourself higher than you did last time. Wesley was standing at the bottom, waiting for you to jump so he could climb up and jump.
You stood on a small ledge, higher than you had ever climbed. The water crashed at the bottom of the waterfall. Further down the way the water turned to a thin stream, the water winding and bubbling around rocks. The base of the waterfall was at a deep pool, making it safe to jump into, even though neither of you had managed to reach the bottom.
"Be careful!" Wesley yelled, watching you carefully. You did a thumbs up and prepared to jump.
You leapt from the ledge, wind running through your hair. It had become a familiar feeling, a good feeling. You crashed into the water, a devious plan forming in your head. You decided to stay under the water, just to scare Wesley.
"Y/N? Y/N? Y/N?!" Wesley yelled, panic starting to build inside of him. He dove into the water, his eyes open to find you. You had started kicking towards the surface, startled when Wesley grabbed you and pulled you up.
"Wes!" You yell, swimming towards the shore. Wesley refused to move away until both of you were up on the shore.
"Are you okay?!" He shouted, holding your shoulders to look into your eyes. You just started laughing and smiled.
"I'm fine. I'm fine." You keep laughing, leaning in to hug him.
"You scared me!" Wesley shouted, hugging you as tight as he could.
"I'm sorry Wes." You say, moving away from him a little bit. You smiled wide, causing him to crack a little smile.
"Please don't do that again.." Wes sighed, pulling you into a kiss.
"I won't Wes, promise." You say, kissing him again. That's what the next twenty minutes consisted of, kissing.
