We had got to the restaurant and went to the lady by the door waiting tables. "Hello how can I help you two young ladies?" She said smiling, she looked around our age and was white. "Um I'm here to meet someone." "What's their name?" I couldn't really remember my dads name so I thought long and hard. "Um I believe his name is Ryan Taylor." She nodded. "You must be Raelle, he's been waiting on you. Let me show you guys where you'll be sitting." She said grabbing two menus and bringing us to a private area. I seen a man and a woman sitting down but when they seen us they stood up. The waitress put our menus on the table. "I will be back in 5 minutes for drinks." She said walking away. We all just stared at each other for a while. "Wow, Raelle honey you look just like your mother." My father said breaking the silence hugging me. I remember years ago I said if I ever seen my dad I wondered how I was going to feel but honestly I don't feel a thing, completely nothing. I nodded at him and we all sat. "Who's this?" He asked. "This is my best friend Olivia." They shook hands and made introductions to each other. "Well this is my wife Terri." I shook her hand and smiled. "So seeing as to how quiet you are I guess I'm just going to explain everything. Um around the time you turned one me and your mother started having problems in our relationship. Anytime I had to work late she would think that I'm going out and cheating and that was never the case. As time went on it got worse and worse to the point where one night when I came home she was throwing things at me, like shoes and clothes and other things screaming she hates me. She told me not to come around and don't think about you cause I wasn't going to ever see you while she was alive. I tried many times but she always got your grandmother to come and help her get me away. After a few years I just stopped when you was 7 and tried moving on. I meet Terri and we got married and wanted to starts family but I still couldn't get over the fact that I never got a chance to say goodbye to you or even hold you one last time so we never did. One day I heard that your mother died and it saddened me cause At one point and time I did love her and so I went to her funeral and seen you and that made it worst. Your grandmother spotted me and tried to keep you far away from me. When she came up to me she said I was the cause of your mothers death and I had to go or she was calling the cops. After all these years I tried ways to get you back but none worked and once I heard you lived here in Atlanta I used some of my police connections and tried to find you but your name was different. I never found you under your birth name but I found you threw your mothers last name and got your number just this morning and decided calling you which lead us all here." He said finishing up. I was just trying to take it all in so I stayed quiet. The waitress came and asked for our drinks and we gave our drink orders to her as she walked away. "Well um that was a lot to digest in just 10 minutes." I said trying to lighten up the mode. "Yah I know and I just want to apologize for never being there for you and trying harder." "No need to, from your story it seems as if you tried your best." I said shrugging. He nodded. "So tell me about yourself since I missed 19 years, fill me up on everything." I told him about myself and the struggles of my lifestyle not having a dad and an alcoholic mother and grandmother. He felt slightly bad but I let him know I was fine with the fact that I basically grew up alone other than Olivia, a person that I known since I was 8. We both meet in class since she was the new girl from America. She's actually from Atlanta but moved to the Dominican Republic when she was 9. I was her translator since I was the only person in the whole school that knew English. We both grew real close as I taught her Spanish and shared a bound. We opened up to each other and shared things together. She was like that older sister I always wish I had but never got. We both decided to move to Atlanta a month after my grandmother died because home left to many bad memories. I was 16 and she was 17 at the time, we finished school and did everything together after that. She is probably the only person in the world that truly cares about me and that's why I love her. We ordered our food and ate catching up on life and getting to know each other. We finished up and walked outside saying our goodbyes. "How about me and you go somewhere Friday night." My father suggested. "Um okay, that's fine. You can just call me and let me know." I said as we walked away. We got into the car and Olivia just stared at me. "Damn, that was A lot and you look like him." I shook my head. "Not really." "Where's my jacket?" She asked looking at me. "Oh I left it at August house on accident sorry. I'll get it when I go back Friday." "No bitch we going to get it now, so call him and let him know." I sighed shaking my head.

I hung up and she continued driving. We got to August place and I seen the door already open so I walked in. I walked to the kitchen since I left it in there and seen all of them talking drinking something out of red cups. "Hurry up Rae, I got things to do." Olivia said walking in behind me. "Shut up, you have no respect for anyone." I said waving at the dudes and they gave me head nods. "Does it look like I give two shits, why you even leave my sweater?" She asked and I turned around to her looking in her face. She never acts this hostile and the last time she did she was pregnant. I looked for this vein on her like my grandmother taught me that pregnant woman get. I seen it and gasped laughing. "Your pregnant Olivia." I laughed and got her jacket. She just stood in place. "How'd you know?" "I know you Olivia." She shook her head and walked to the door. I ain't even realize all of them was staring. "Well that's very rude to be all up in other peoples conversation." I said looking at them. "Well we some noisy ass niggas and you know that Rae." Wayne said and I laughed. "Raelle let me talk to you." Michael said and I looked at him. "Whatever but can you hurry up." I said as he got up. He walked me into the living and sighed. "Can you hurry up?" I asked. "Look Rae I know that your upset with me and all but you know how much I love you. I couldn't imagine my life with-" I stopped him before he could continue. "I can't do this Michael, not again it's to much. I gotta go." I said walking away. I went back to the kitchen. "Bye guys." "Bye Rae." They said in unison. "So your not going to listen to me?" Michael said coming in. "No, I had one to many chances. You and Kylie or whoever the next is going to be have a nice life together because I'm gone." After that i walked to my car and got in. "So your pregnant, when was you going to tell me?" "Well I found out like this morning so I was going to surprise you." "I get another person to spoil. It's Tyson's right" she nodded. "Does he know?" "No I was going to tell the both of you at the same time." I nodded. "How far along are you?" "3 months." She mumbled. "Damn soon you can be able to tell the gender, we can start working on the house now while you can help me and I'll just pick up on another house around the end of your pregnancy so you don't have to work." "I thought August pays a lot?" "He does, he was saying 10,000 for a full week but still your the type of person to by the best stuff so I'll just pick up on work." "No it's fine, I'm trying to lower my mommy standards so you don't have to do that. I do find out the gender in my next appointment so come with me." "When is it?" "Tomorrow morning." "Alright I don't have to work so I'll be there." She nodded and started driving back to our house. We walked inside and into the guest room where tj used to sleep when he was a baby. We started looked at the stuff we was going to need and decided to start shopping for stuff since it's only 5pm. We headed to baby's r us and started buying things in neutral colors since we don't know the sex yet. I can't wait till the day I have one of my own.

We was all sitting at this table talking about different things and Ty looked a little distant. "Yo what's yo problem nigga?" I said looking at him. "Don't worry bout it, it ain't even nothing." Trey sucked his teeth. "He probably mad cause Raelle don't want him. I mean you should have realized what you had when you had it and not after. Shorty don't want you no more and that's yo fault. She is like one of the sweetest people in the world and deserves it. She probably would be like the only female in this world that would never care about your career and the money and more about you. Now I know this sound like some shit August would be saying cause he feeling Raelle and all but you messed up on that one." Trey said. "Why you think I'm feeling her?" I asked and all of them sucked they teeth. "Nigga do you see the way you look at her, you be looking like you in love or some shit and it be hilarious. Anyone could be able to tell you feeling her and you showed it when you went to check on her earlier. See she like my little sister and I known her for a few years but if you really feeling her then just tell her." Wayne said and I just nodded. "Yall talking bout that shit like ok not siting right here. Like that was my girl and now you tryna get her. Fuck out of here, it ain't gonna happen. She not gonna want you cause you hit em and don't talk to them after that, she not that type of girl so you not gonna make it far. She still a virgin so if you do make it far don't hurt her, but i gotta go get King." He said then dapped all of us then walked out. "Damn yall got this whole table session all emotional and shit like we some females." Drake said and we laughed. "Man but you really feeling her?" He said after. "I mean yah, who wouldn't be feeling her like she the shit and she seems like that type of chick you wouldn't be afraid of showing off or having to worry about her cheating or some shit. She just that wifey material she know how to do it all." I said. "Well let Rae know." "I'mma wait a few weeks, I mean she just broke up with Ty and I ain't got time to be no rebound so I'll just wait. I see her about everyday so I can just really see what she about." They nodded. "Yall tryna go out tonight?" Cole asked. "Nah my nieces is coming tonight so I can't, I'm taking them out all day tomorrow so I can't be drunk or faded." "When they leaving?" "Sunday." "Don't Raelle work Friday?" "Yah." "You introducing them?" "I mean I have to, you know she somewhat proper and it would be rude for me not to so yah." They laughed and nodded. "Alright well we gonna go." They all got up and dapped me up before leaving. I laughed and our they cups in the sink going to my room. Maybe I was whipped by Raelle but I don't even know if she like me like that so I guess we'll see.
