With a playful smirk, she answered, knowing that he would probably tease her for working so late.
"Hey gorgeous" Hoshi's voice greeted her warmly. "Working late again?"
"I needed to have a talk with Haeri" she answered him "but yes, I'm leaving right now. Do you have access to the cameras? How did you know I was leaving?"
"Call it luck. Busy day?"
"Just trying to keep the company afloat," she replied with a chuckle. "Someone's gotta do it."
"Well, I hope you're at least taking a break for dinner," he said, his concern genuine. "I can't have my favorite workaholic passing out from hunger on me."
Bitna's stomach growled in agreement, reminding her of her neglected hunger. "Funny you should mention that," she admitted sheepishly. "I was just thinking about food."
With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, Hoshi seized the opportunity to play the hero. "Say no more" he declared dramatically. "Dinner is on its way to your rescue as we speak."
"You know you're not my knight in shining armor. I can cook when I'm home"
