Tara POV
I heard footsteps and CALAHAN began to smile. "Ah he's here" she whispered. Damon came in with a suit on and sat on the other side of the table. "I'm so happy you both are here. As everything should be". "What did you do to me" I asked again. "I will tell you later but right now you should focus on your mate" CALAHAN encouraged.
"I have a mate" I growled. "One that you're not with" Damon snapped. "That's not your true mate. He is. You two will be together and rule over our people" CALAHAN said drinking from her glass of blood. "Haa. If you think I'm gonna be with this prick you don't know me very well" I hissed.
"Well you don't me very well. I get the things I want" she glared at me stabbing her salad. "I will kill you". She began to laugh hysterically while Damon frowned. "Since you're done eating let's go on that tour. Damon take her"
CALAHAN ordered. Damon came around pulling out my chair and I quickly grabbed a knife to try to stab him.
My body went smaked onto the table with a loud thud. CALAHAN was holding me down growling "enough. You will behave and don't try anything on this tour. Don't forget I have your friend Jackson. He will die if you do not listen".
She let me go and I held my arm. Damon let me go in front of him and we started the tour. We went down the first level floor. "This house was built in 2000's. Your mother liked this house better than all of our other locations. So, this is the place we live. Now it's not like that monstrosity of a pack house. Monere's have their own town. Think of the mayor home as this home. However the maids and workers do live here".
"It must have been quite hard to pretend to live in the pack house of Hayley and Jackson's pack". He didn't stop just ignore my comment. "However all of the training and meetings are held here" he explained. "Even the innocent prisoners you monsters keep" I commented again.
Damon took a deep breath continuing the tour. We went up the elevator and down the hall. He showed the training room and then some of the bedrooms.
"And this is our bedroom" he stopped in front. "You think I would want to sleep with you" i said with disgust. Damon began to breathe slowly but loud. He turned around pinning me against the wall.
"You wanted to sleep with me before. I could smell it off you back then" he huskily whispered. I couldn't push him back so I moved my head away. "That was when I thought you were a good guy. Someone I grieved over felt guilty even. You're a bastard who deserves to fuckin die. Mate. Mate, you got be fucking kidding me. You deceived me and faked your death" I rolled my eyes.
"I tried to take us away. Marcel had his men chasing me down and he killed my sister. I couldn't have them finding out about CALAHAN before she wanted. So, I had to fake my death but we're supposed to lead our people. I know that I killed Davina boyfriend. We both have lost people. Can't you just forget about everything and we can start over" he asked holding my hand.
"No" I stated. I could see his eyes turing a different color and he was getting frustrated. "Go cool off, Damon" CALAHAN said standing beside us. He looked at me and left. CALAHAN opened the door and I went in. "Sit" she said. My body immediately sat in the chair in the corner.
"It's time for you to stop this foolishness. You need to accept him. It's time for me to hand over my crown. As my daughter it goes to you" she explained. "I'm not your daughter". "STOP SAYING THAT. YOU'RE MINE. I BIRTHED YOU " she screamed. My eyes went wide but I sucked in a breath.
"I heard the story how crazy you were. How you didn't want me to find my own. You wanted to force me to be with Damon. You're fucking crazy. The monere's aren't over anyone. You're not better. You all aren't anything. You're definitely not my mother"I stated. CALAHAN eyes turned purple and she fumed. "She's about attack" Shera spoke.
My eyes turned blue and I stood up. CALAHAN jumped at me and I moved away. She caught me by my leg and slang me into the wall. The glass painting shattered on me. I got up "fiento" I spelled. CALAHAN blood began to boil. She fell to the ground holding her heart.
"You're not as scary as they say" I grinned . "I told you I will kill you". CALAHAN mouth moved but I couldn't hear what she said. A deep gash appeared on my arm and I screamed. Then another on my face. The gashes kept appearing on me until my body was doused in blood. I fell to ground my skin on fire.
"Stop it" I yelled. No more cuts appeared. However, CALAHAN had began to stand up. She was sweating but smiled darkly. "You got some balls. You are my daughter after all however there is a reason I have been queen for so long. Why I am CALAHAN".
"You will be punished for hurting your mother like this but I am proud. That dark instinct to kill. I want you to listen to it. embrace it. Then you truly be a monere" she smiled. She walked towards me and her arm went back. The last thing I saw was her fist flying at me.
