👼 MY ANGEL 👼

When Elsa saw the bracelet that had been removed from her pocket, she froze.

How did it get there? It was a diamond bracelet worth thousands.

“My bracelet!” the woman exclaimed as she took it from Victoria and examined it.

“This is the bracelet I was wearing,” she said to confirm that it was indeed the one she had before. She then turned to Elsa.

“And she tried to steal it from me,” her eyes filled with rage. Elsa's stomach dropped in fear.

“I didn’t steal it, I swear. I don't know how it got in my pocket.”

Of course, nobody believed her. She tried hard to defend herself, but no one listened to her. Everyone was looking at her like she was a dirty thief and didn't even want to hear her out.

“I can’t believe we have a thief at this party.”

“She definitely stole it so she could sell it.”

“She must be a broke lowlife who snuck her way into this party to steal from the guests.”

“She should be thrown out. I don't want her here.”

“Yes, someone call security.”

“Security! Security!”

The judging eyes were on her once more. No matter how many times she tried to say she didn't steal it, nobody listened or believed her. She looked around the room, searching for Jeremy, but she couldn't spot him anywhere.

He must still be with Fabian Romano. She was all alone in a room full of hostile people, being judged for a crime she didn’t commit.

In her final attempt to defend herself, Victoria suddenly walked over to her and whispered in her ear, “You thought you had won, didn't you? Today, just as I promised you last time, I am going to get you beat up. You will regret not divorcing Jeremy and trying to take him from me.”

Before Elsa could react to that, handcuffs were placed on her wrists.

Someone had called the police, and since this was a party for rich people, they came running. She tried to tell Miss Smith that she didn't steal her bracelet, but she didn't listen.

“Maybe being arrested will teach you not to be so light-fingered,” she said, unaffected.

Elsa was brought to the police station that very night, and just like that, she was thrown into a holding cell. She tried to talk to the police officer, telling him she didn't steal the bracelet. “Miss Halverson, perhaps it would be better for you if you just admit what you did.”

“Officer, please, I didn't steal it. Believe me.”

“Okay, just let me talk to my husband then. Let me talk to Jeremy! Don't lock me up here, please!” she begged, but he didn't listen, nor did he give her a phone to call Jeremy.

He left her standing in the cell with no shoes on, her phone taken away, and still in that black gown.

The moment the police officer disappeared, Elsa was suddenly pulled from behind so hard that she fell on the floor.

She hadn't even noticed that she had three cellmates with her. The three women stood in front of her in an intimidating way. One of them crouched next to her and grabbed her hair.

“You thought you could get in between Victoria and Jeremy’s relationship and go scot-free, didn’t you?”
