(Lian's POV)
We had arrived back at Naruto's house. We had locked all doors and windows, closing the blinds and making sure nobody could hear us.
I slam my hands on the kitchen table and and look at my partners.
"Alright troops! We've got a mission." I say. "Our mission? Find out who brainwashed Rythian and why."
"Yes! We are the three investigators!" Naruto grinned.
"The who?" Rythian ask.
"We'll tell you about Alfred Hitchcock later, but right now I think we need to assemble a team." I said, arms crossed over my chest.
"Okay, I can go grab Nat while you two - "
"No, Naruto." I interrupt, grabbing his arm before he can run out the door. "We can't risk putting all of our friends in danger."
"Then who is this team that you wish to assemble?" Rythian asks crossing his arms over his chest.

"Absolutely not!"
I roll my eyes at the two, expecting this reaction. "Come on guys, look they're -
"S-ranked criminals!" Rythian interrupts. "We will not allow wanted fugitives to enter our village! How do you even know they'll help?"
I smirk and shrug my shoulders. "I have connections."
Rythian sighs while Naruto turns to me. "Lian, I agree with Rythian on this. It's too dangerous, believe it."
"We're gonna need more power than two Genin and a baby ANBU." I tell them both.
"Ouch..."
"Rude."
"And who is as powerful as the ANBU, maybe even more powerful, than the members of the Akatsuki?" I ask them. "I can get them on our side, just this once!"
Rythian and Naruto share a look before sighing. "How do we contact them?" Rythian asks.
I grin. "I can get my summoning friend to take a message! Or he can take me to go beg..."
Naruro sighs. "Okay, where is the summoning scroll for Leon?"
"My house, let's go!" I grin.

"Absolutely not!"
I sigh again, my arms crossed over my chest. Here we go again...
"Come on, Leon! I haven't seen you in ages and - "
"Exactly!" Leon glares. "I apologise, but I don't think it would be wise if I were to hand you over to S-Ranked criminals!"
"Rido is there." I say.
"Let's go!" Leon says happily.
I grabbed my already packed backpack and slung it over my shoulder. Naruto gave me a boost onto Leon's back, his feathers making it a pretty soft landing.
"Lian, for the love of all things good...be careful." Rythian said.
I grinned and shrugged shoulders. "When am I not careful?"
"Where do I begin? Well that time when we decided to prank an ANBU you - " Naruto started but I quickly shut him up by throwing a lovely sock to the face. "Hey!"
"Oops." I shrugged. "Look, stay out of trouble and try to make a plan for getting into the ANBU building without being detected."
"Aye aye, captain!"
And I was off on an adventure!
After Leon flew over the high gates of the village, we just stuck to that general direction.
"So, how are we gonna find Rido?" I asked, enjoying the view.
"YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS?!"
"I thought you'd have some sort of tracker on them..."
"I was gone for about fifty chapters and this is how you turned out." I heard Leon mutter. "Should have stayed...shouldn't have gone on vacation..."

"Absolutely not!"
"WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP SAYING THAT TO ME?!" I fumed and glared at the old man. "I DEMAND YOU TELL ME WHERE THE AKATSUKI ARE!"
....
"You killed him."
"Leon, I did no such thing." I said, hands on my hips. "He's just...sleeping."
"Is that what they call it now?"
"Oi."
"Hey, why's there some fucking kid here?"
I turn around and TADA! I grin and point at the two men in the Akatsuki uniform. "FOUND THEM!"
"Wait a second....." Hidan said and then yelled out, pointing at me. "IT'S YOU!"
"Hi Hidan!" I greeted and did an overdramatic bow.
There was a guy who I never saw before. He looked very...stitchy.
No, no, not the adorable blue alien 626, I'm talking about actual physical stitches.
I heard about him, Kakazu I think his name was. He's obsessed with money.
Hence why I came here, the bounty shop. I knew these two worked together through some information from Rythian. And it bloody worked too!
"So, I'm guessing you were looking for us." Kakazu said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Any reason why?"
"I need you to take me to my brother." I replied.

"Absolutely not."
This has been happening far too much today....I'm quite concerned actually.
"Look, she says it's important!" Hidan argued.
Currently me, Hidan and Kakazu were locked out of one of the base. This time it was big ass boulder. Leon had gone back into his summoning scroll.
Something about Hidan and sacrifice or something.
It had been Itachi who was exiting the base, before rushing back in and locking the door behind him.
Now, we were arguing with the hunger Leader of the Akatsuki who was refusing to let me in. You know, after last time...
I heard from Hidan that Kisame still avoids the kitchen at all costs, and Itachi no longer has a bed in his room but uses a sleeping bag instead.
Oops.
"Look! Ginger to ginger, I need some help." I started.
"We know that." Hidan said.
"Oi." I warned, sending him a glare. "Something is going on and I don't need all of you, I just need my brother. At least."
"Hey, what's going on?"
"You can't go out there, Rido!"
"Why not?"
"RIDO!" I yelled.
The 'door' clicked and then slid open to reveal the majority of the Akatsuki. I'm pretty sure Kisame just feinted- oh wait. Nope. He was just picking up that big ass sword of his. Great.
"Lian? What're you doing here?" Rido asked confused.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Couldn't I just come to visit?"
Rido perked up at that and smiled happily. "So you prefer me over Fido?"
"If you help me I will."
"Of course you need something..." Rido sighed, going back to his usual ways. "What's up?"

"Absolutely."
"I SWEAR TO - wait, did you just agree?" I asked blinking in confusion.
"Yeah." Rido drawled out, giving me a concerned look. "You okay?"
I nod my head really quickly with a grin on my face. "This is great! Thank you! Now, we need to leave immediately! Grab those who are either bored and have nothing else to do or those who wish to join in our mission!"
I was waiting by the entrance of the hideout when I summoned Leon.
"WHERE'S RIDO?!" he cried and I jumped back.
Hey! You get a lil it of a jump when a massive bird just pops out of the smoke and demand goods from you!
"He's just coming, damnit! Calm down!"
"Lian!"
I turn around and see a Rido standing with Kisame, Deidara and Tobi. Rido suddenly stops and stares at the bird.
And then the unthinkable happens.
Rido immediately goes all jutsu, trying to fry Leon who is soaring happily past the flames and lands right on top of Rido.
I blink in confusion, sharing concerned glances with the other members of the Akatsuki.
They send me a bizarre look as if to ask "the hell is this?"
I just send them an even more confused one with a massive shrugging of the shoulders.
So, we all just observed as the big bird seemed happily reunited with Rido who lay there muttering something about pigeon pie.

"Absolutely not."
"Come on Rido! Please!"
"No."
"For me?"
"Definitely not."
"Does this happen often?" Kisame asked me quietly.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know, fish. This is the last thing I expected..."
Leon is wanting to give Rido a piggy back ride but Rido is having none of it.
"It's almost like you hate him, Rido." I comment with a deadpanned look.
"I do." Rido states coldly, ignoring the summoning bird behind him who looks like he's just been shot.
"But...why?" I ask. I mean, I haven't seen Leon in a while (oops) but he's always supportive and optimistic and happy and...I think I know why my moody brother doesn't like him...
"Moody?"
"Well, she's not wrong." Deidara said with a shrug.
"Yeah, Rido is always grumpy!" Tobi said, managing to dodge a punch 'gracefully'. "So mean!"
"What is it this mission that you've decided to give us?" Kisame asked, looking down at me.
We were both trying to ignore the fighting going on between a summoning bird, a moody twin brother, a drag queen and a masked grown child-man.
"YOU'RE SO OFFENSIVE!"
"LEARN HOW TO SPEAK IN YOUR MIND!"
"BUT THE VOICES DON'T LIKE ME SPEAKING TO THEM ALL THE TIME!" I yelled anime crying. "THEY DON'T LIKE MY INTERNAL COMMENTARY AND TOLD ME TO MAKE IT EXTERNAL!"
"What?"
"Nothing." I said quickly.
We all went back to what we were doing before, as we were walking back to the village.
"Well, my friend Rythian has been brainwashed and he's in the ANBU so - "

"Come back!"
"Absolutely not!" Deidara, Kisame and Rido yelled.
I was hanging onto Kisame's legs, Tobi grabbing Deidara who was hanging onto a tree and Leon was taking care of Rido.
"Please! Look, he's against this as much as you are but we need help from very powerful ninja who will be able to sneak us into the ANBU headquarters and discover the information that we may need!" I said quickly, avoiding the dirt flying about me as Kisame drags his leg along.
"Still no."
"WHY DID I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE BIGGEST ONE!" I yelled in annoyance. "COME ON!"
After a lot of negotiating, and bribing, we were all on our way back to the Leaf Village. It was sometime in the afternoon now and we decided to stop at a small market to get some supplies.
We got some bottles of water and some food for lunch. Well, me and Deidara did. I thought that the shop owner might freak if she saw a giant pigeon, a fish-man, a masked man-child and a moody guy all together. Deidara had to come in with me because I couldn't possible carry all of this, and he was the less likely one to draw attention to himself.
He took his cloak off because, hello! What attracts more attention than the bloody cloak of an evil organisation?
Me and Deidara walked out the shop, thanking the lady, and headed road the corner to where our group was hiding. I handed everyone's lunch to them and looked questionably at Kisame's choice of food.
"...cannibal." I muttered as I walked past him and sat down on the log next to Tobi.
As we were eating, Rido came up with a quick plan to be able to blend in with the people of our village. It won't be too difficult to get past Izumo and Kotetsu...unless they were actually awake for once...
Nah!
The guys all took their cloaks off and were left in their own ninja gear, although Tobi was reluctant to remove his cloak saying, and I quote;
"TOBI DOESN'T WANT TO BE NAKED!"
We were all mildly concerned when he said this, but turns out he wasn't telling the truth and actually did have clothes underneath - thank turtles...
"You might want to remove your mask, Tobi." I said. "It'll attract attention."
There was a sudden dark and cold aura surrounding me and the man-child. The group of Akatsuki members behind me didn't seem to feel it, but all seemed very curious as to what Tobi really looked like.
"Or you can keep it on, it was really just a suggestion." I said quickly, sweat dropping a billion and one times over with an eye closed fake smile. "Please don't hurt me." I whispered.
"Tobi think's he'll keep his mask on!" Tobi said becoming all happy go lucky again.
As the others groaned in disappointment behind me, I fell like a piece paper and crumbled to the floor after having to deal with a sudden pressure loss.
Never again. I will never again ask Tobi to remove his mask.
At least Kakashi isn't like that! He just messes with you....
(FLASHBACK! Yup...I'm doing that)
After working at that farm for the week or so with Team 7 and Kakashi, we were all exhausted. I'd actually gotten food poisoning from tasting some of the food that is provided for the animals and was out of it for majority of the time.
Apparently something happened with Kakashi and some guy who's girl had been stolen or something I didn't bother listening to.
But, the week before we had all decided to try and get a look at what Kakashi's face. So far, we had all failed. Once our individual tries had failed, we all decided to try our team work skills.
We had tried following him around town, confirmed he really is a perv and is waiting for Pervy Sage's newest book (birthday present, check), found out that he does actually go shopping for real food but then he disappeared!
We were all confused but then he confronted us and we came up with the worst excuse ever, but a pretty good idea.
We said that we wanted to treat him to ramen. He seemed happy about the idea and so we headed for Ichiraku Ramen.
Just as he was about to remove his mask to eat, guess who decides to jump in front of us.
Ino, Choji and Shikamaru.
They were all grinning ear to ear, yes even Shikamaru. They knew exactly what they were doing.
When we looked at Old Man and his daughter they were both blushing! WHAT?!
So, we had decided this mission we would try to catch Kakashi's real face.
Because I'd been put on bed rest, I couldn't get in much of the action and only got reports from my team when they returned each night with a defeated look on their faces.
Then on the journey back home, with me feeling a bit better, we were all glum. Our sensei, sensing our moods (ha ha, puns), asked what was wrong. After Sakura explained what was up, he said he would show us what was under his mask.
I quickly grabbed a random camera from those camera men who are usually around me and Naruto for whatever reason and got ready to take a picture. I mean, I've lived with this guy for about thirteen years now? I don't remember my age! Hush! I still haven't seen his face though...
But...
"Under this mask..." Kakashi had said, gripping onto the cloth covering his face. Team 7 were at the edge of their seats, even though we weren't sitting, waiting for the big reveal....
Only to be fooled.
"...is another mask!" Kakashi said happily, removing the first mask. We all faceplanted it right there and then while our sensei had a signature eye closed smile. He even had the nerve to ask, "Pretty cool, right?"
And for the rest of that journey, it was all four of us trying to remove both his masked and him managing to dodge our attacks. I had to take breaks to throw up in the bushes anytime I didn't feel well, Sakura was actually kind enough to hold my hair back.
Yup, that was a bonding moment for the two of us.
Not exactly a bonding moment which we would want to remember, but it was a moment of bonding none the less and I'm happy with that.
(FLASHBACK OVER!)
I sighed, shaking my head. That was one of the last missions that Team 7 had together as a proper team, and overall it was the one where we were actually happy.
As in, there wasn't any fighting between me and Sakura, no fighting between Naruto and Sasuke, and everyone was smiling and having fun.
Goddamit Sasuke, you just had to ruin that didn't you?
"Lian." I snapped out of my little flashback montage and turned to look up at Rido. "We're here."
I smiled, seeing my familiar home once more. "Let's do this."

Well, I BRING GOOD NEWS!
I passed all my exams! :D
It doesn't really effect you guys much, but it shows that all my studying that I did paid off!
I got 5As and 2Bs! See? I'm not a complete idiot ^-^
School starts again on Monday, so I'm not excited about that...uh...
Oh well.
I'm gonna start writing the next chapter now so, prepare for a hopefully early update!
