While Cheol and Haruto fought, things weren't going to well on the other half either.
Haerin and Hyein's performance were way off, and Haerin even fell over.
The girls had to finish up early and go backstage.
Y/n's POV
While the girls are performing, Haerin and Hyein looked like they forgot what they were meant to do.
They were about a minute into OMG, when Haerin tripped and fell during her part. Haerin NEVER trips when she dances.
The media usually made various content about what we did, it was usually funny, praise, or shipping content, and we had to be very careful on camera. But I can't imagine what haters are going to say after this.
A few minutes later, the girls came in with Haerin sobbing.
"Don't cry, I'm sure it won't matter." Minji tried to comfort, patting her.
"No, I messed up, I'm so sorry.." she sobbed.
I also remembered that Hyein forgot a few lyrics while singing.
I look around to find her, and she was in a corner all by herself. Did no one notice?
"You don't need to be sorry, you didn't do anything wrong!" Danielle assured, hugging her.
That's another one of Danielle's charms. She's always so confident and cheery. Whenever you're down, Danielle jumps to the rescue.
"There's no need to question your ability after one mess-up, it happens to everyone." I said.
"I-I just wanna go!" She cried.
"Okay, okay, let's go," Hanni said. "Come on,"
We made our way out and back as fast as we could so we can avoid as much swarm as possible.
The car ride was silent, everyone lost in their own thought.
Danielle dug her nose into my chest.
"Birthday girl soon," I thought to myself. "I love you so much."
She dug deeper, I think she noticed my heart rate increase. I hugged her back.
"I promise I'll get you the best birthday surprise ever," I thought.
Cheol's POV
"I already know how loud she's going to be," Haruto kept pissing me off.
This cocky bastard, who does he think he's talking to right now?
"Says the one who can't punch, you fucking pussy." I said.
"Why're you trying to change the subject? We're talking about Hae-" He spoke, but got cut off by my fist to his head.
I threw a jab, hook and then an uppercut to his body. I know for a fact he can't handle boxers.
"Copy that, dickhead," I said.
He frowned and wiped the blood away from his nose before kicking me.
I caught his leg. It's over.
I place my elbow on his knee, and snap his knee out of place.
He screeches in pain and falls onto the floor, screaming in pain.
"What's wrong, Taekwondo Prodigy? No legs?" I teased.
"Ffffffuck you!!!" He screamed.
"Kill him!" Chaewon ordered.
I mashed my hands into his head again, again and again.
I don't know how long I was beating him for, but eventually the others got back and Y/n rushed into the room and pulled me off.
"What'd I tell you about doing this shit??" Y/n yelled. "Are you trying to kill him? Just look at him, he's pretty much already gone!"
"What?! What happened?" Minji rushed into the room. "OH MY- IS HE DEAD?"
"Nnno, no I'm not, Minji," Haruto wheezed.
"Why can't I leave you for just a second with this guy?!" Y/n yelled at me.
"Hey, wait up now!" Chaewon defended. "Cheol had a reason to do so."
"What could it have possibly been?" Y/n said.
"Haruto said he was gonna do the dirty with Haerin." Eunchae said.
"What the- alright now, that isn't okay," Minji said. "Why would you say something like that?"
"T... to piss Cheol the fuck off," Haruto chuckled.
"You fuckin-" I exclaimed, but Y/n held me back.
"Cheol, no. Go upstairs." Y/n commanded. "Don't you think he's had enough?"
I stood up, and Haerin and the rest of the girls entered the room.
"I heard it." Haerin said. She had a long and tired face.
We watched with our jaws dropped as she walked over, grabbed Haruto and punched him a few times.
"You disgusting! Dirty! Filthy! Piece of-"
"Alright alright, now let go," Y/n inched her away.
I didn't say anything and went upstairs.
Haerin's POV
I can't believe I went out with Haruto. He should just go back to playing his stupid game.
"I hate you, I hate you, I HATE YOU!!!" I screamed. "We're done! I never wanted date you anyways!"
"Okay, enough!!" Y/n yelled.
"Why is he still here though?" Hanni asked.
"I don't know, but he's leaving." Minji said.
"No, wait! I can make it up to you!" Haruto begged with his now swollen and beat-up face.
"Oh yeah? How?" Minji judged.
Haruto whispered something to her and I overheard it.
"I've got a lot of friends I can invite for Danielle's birthday, they're all nice, don't worry." He said.
"Fine, stay." Minji said.
"What? You can't let him stay!" Danielle yelled.
"What did he say?" Y/n asked, and Minji told them.
"Haruto is staying, sorry." Y/n said.
"If you say so," Danielle whined.
"Alright, I'm going to snap your leg back into place now." Y/n said.
"Nonono wait I'm not read- OOWW!!!" Haruto screamed.
"See, wasn't so bad." Y/n said.
"No! That shit hurt!" Haruto whined.
I decided to go on my phone to pass the time.
And sure enough, me falling over was the first thing that came up. I am such a bad idol.
I tossed the phone to the side and sulked, going upstairs.
I peered through the door crack and saw Cheolie. I immediately retreated.
"Should I go talk to him?" I thought. "Does he still hate me?"
"I know you're there," he said. "Come in,"
Crap. I put my hand in my pockets and walked in nervously.
"Hi.." I greeted, and his eyes changed.
"Uh- I- what've you been up to?" He asked.
His voice wasn't commanding like Haruto's. It made me feel free.
"N-not a lot, what about you?" I asked anxiously.
"You know Danielle's birthday is tomorrow, right?" He changed the topic. "Do you want to go out and buy stuff for her?"
Like a mini date?
"Sure!" I accepted without a second thought.
"Alright, let's go," he said, and I followed behind.
We snuck out, and ran to the store together. It kinda sucks we didn't hold hands or anything.
We stuck together in the aisles, and made sure to cover our faces.
"What are we looking for?" I asked.
"Balloons, party blowers, snacks, gifts, that sort of thing." He said.
"Okay," I said quietly. "Make sure not to tell anyone we snuck out, I'll get into trouble."
"Alright, I promise." He said.
Promise is a word I never expected Cheolie to say. He's so cute.
We grabbed all the things we needed, and headed to checkout.
"You two are cute, are you dating?" The nice lady asked.
"No, we're just friends." Cheolie answered her before I could say anything.
"Aww," the lady expressed.
Friends? I know we're more than that for sure. I got an indescribable negative feeling.
On our way out, I spoke up.
"You know me and Haruto broke up, right?" I asked.
"Yeah, I know." He dismissed. "Cmon cat girl, they're probably wondering where we went."
Cat girl? He called me that back when we weren't close. I was surprised we'd stooped to this point.
We sprinted back together, and we were panting by the end.
"Woah there, who are you guys?" A security guard stopped us.
"It's me," I took my mask off.
"Oh, sorry, my daughter's a big fan, by the way." He said. "Go ahead."
I got through, but he stopped Cheolie.
"He's with me!" I said.
"Oh, like a couple?" He asked.
What was with all these questions about us being together?
"No, Cheolie-oppa is like my big brother." I answered, getting Cheolie back for earlier.
"Alright, go through." The guard said.
"A big brother?" Cheolie whispered.
"I know I'm older, but you protect me like one." I said.
He didn't say anything. I wanted him to say something like "No, I'm not,".
"Hey, how about you being a bodyguard again?" I asked, hoping this would get us close again like before.
"Will I be paid?" He asked.
"Lots," I answered.
"Sure," he responded.
"You start tomorrow," I smiled.
"Y-yeah, come on, let's hide the stuff we bought." He stuttered.
We hid the stuff and entered the living room again.
I tried to sit down on Cheolie's lap, but he moved, so I sat next to him.
"Where've you two been?" Minji asked.
"No where," He answered.
"Tell me." She ordered.
"I'm telling you, we didn't go anywhere." Cheolie answered again.
Haruto would've gave me up in a second in a situation like this.
"Leave the two alone," Chaewon patted Minji.
"Haerin, come here, I want to speak to you," Haruto said.
"I don't have to," I rejected.
"Just come here," he ordered.
I looked at Cheolie.
"Well.. do you want to?" Cheolie asked me.
I shook my head no.
"There's your answer, Haruto." He said.
Haruto went quiet.
"Dani, you think you can help me with something tomorrow?" Y/n asked.
"Err... what is it?" Danielle answered. "I don't think I can,"
"Danielle, the higher-ups have said that you have to go to a photoshoot." Minji stepped in. "Don't worry, it will only be for a few hours, we won't have any shows or anything."
Y/n discretely thanked Minji.
"Okay, I will." Danielle answered.
Minji winked at us all, signalling at us to prepare for tomorrow.
Danielle is very strong. She's able to not say anything about her birthday, which shows her priorities. I almost feel sorry. Her birthday is going to be the best one she's ever had.
