'Be My Date'
Taehyung was lazing around in his home, watching web series with his mom when he got a call from company asking him to visit the company soon.
When Taehyung reached there he was shocked to see company's PR team there in his cabin. He looked at Jimin who was also confused seeing them there.
"Hey Taehyung. Come, we will be discussing about your future work schedule." Head of PR team said as he motioned Taehyung to sit down.
After a long discussion it was decided that Taehyung would be doing two magazine photoshoot and a commercial.
It was shocking and confusing for Taehyung. One question started bothering him 'why is Mi Kwan giving him any work'? But that question was answered immediately when he saw Mi Kwan and Yuchen coming towards him.
"You must be happy by getting the work right. If it was just me you would have rotten here without any work but the shareholders don't want that. Just remember it was not given to you because of your abilities but because of my greatness." Mi Kwan sneered at him.
"Greatness my foot. Just say you were scared that shareholders will withdraw or sell their shares." Jimin mumbled.
Mi Kwan heard that but didn't said anything to Jimin, deep down knowing what he was saying is truth, so he just gave him a glare. He turned around to leave but then he remembered something he looked over his shoulder, his back facing Taehyung,
"Oh Yes you both are invited to my birthday party tomorrow" He said and left the room alone.
Yuchen was still in his cabin when Taehyung was discussing his work schedule with Jimin and PR team. It was only when PR team left, Yuchen opened her mouth,
"Taehyung" Yuchen called him when she saw that both Tae and Jimin were not paying attention to her.
"You are still here, I thought you left a while ago." Taehyung said innocently as if he really didn't see her standing there. Jimin silently snickered earning himself glare from Yuchen, to which he just stuck out his tongue. She ignored him and turned to Taehyung.
"By the way I'm going to Cho's Talk show." Yuchen declared haughtily.
'PR team clearly wants Yuchen to been seen in public to boost her popularity. It must be the tactic of Mi Kwan, he followed what shareholder wanted him to and still gave Yuchen above hand then me.' Taehyung thought.
Then Yuchen's PA barged in his cabin without even knocking.
"Don't you have a any decency to knock?" Jimin roared. His BP is rising seeing both of them in a place which he considered his heaven.
'These two demons are infiltrating my heaven.' was his only thought.
Taehyung signalled him to be calm. He just ignored both of them and turned to Jimin completely,
"Jiminie, what's my schedule for today?"
"Nothing as of now." Jimin answered and gritted his teeth when heard scoff coming from Yuchen's PA.
"Well my artist have a lot on her schedule." She said, her voice filled with mockery as she smirked at Jimin.
"Then I must say you and your artist should be working. Why are you wasting our time... I mean your time? Go do your work...shoo" Jimin lazily waved his hand towards the door as he innocently smiled at them. Yuchen's PA gave him a glare and stomped out of Tae's cabin.
Yuchen still didn't left just stood there.
"By the way Taehyung, you must come at Kwan's birthday party. We will be officially announcing our relationship." Yuchen smirked thinking that Taehyung will feel sad.
"Then I have to plan a gift for you too, I already have gift ready for Mi Kwan. But don't worry, you both will love the gift." Taehyung said so sincerely that Yuchen almost believed him but the deviousness in his eyes made her wary of him.
That look in his eyes send a shiver down her spine that she hurriedly left his cabin.
'Taehyung is up to something, something which is not good for me. But what exactly? I have to do something. I have to stop whatever he is planning' Yuchen thought as she was walking towards Mi Kwan's office.
Taehyung laughed seeing her lithe figure running away.
"Don't tell me that is going to be your gift for them." Jimin questioned excitedly.
"You know me so well. Yes that is going to be their gift" Taehyung winked at him. And with that Jimin also joined in his laughter. Both very much excited to see what is going to be the gifts receivers reaction.
After sometime Jimin phone buzzed, he saw it was a message from company staff.
"That fucker."
"What happened?"
"Our name is removed from the list of guests for his birthday party."
"That Yuchen is not that dumb as we thought her to be. Don't worry whether we go there or not, they will receive our gift. But we will be there, enjoying their facial expression after they will see our gift" Taehyung replied as he winked at Jimin.
"What are you planning to do?"
"I don't know. But I will definitely find a way for both of us to enter the party. Just wait and watch Jiminie and get ready to attend the party. For the name sake it's their party but the party night will be ours." Taehyung said as he picked up the contract and started carefully reading it.
Jimin was about to question him more but was stopped by the sound of Tae's phone ringing.
"Ggukie" Taehyung quickly answered the call after seeing that the call was from Jeongguk. Jimin just shook his head and left the cabin knowing very well that now Taehyung will not pay attention to anything else.
"Wait Ggukie didn't I tell you to not call me when you have work. Are you again abandoning your work ? Why don't to listen to what I say?" Taehyung rambled which ended up in a whine.
"Baby I was free. I don't have any meetings left for today that's why I called you. Don't worry I'm not abandoning my work." Jeongguk calmly explained.
Taehyung got flustered after hearing 'Baby' from Jeongguk. Yes, he had been called baby by Jeongguk before but all the times it was in messages. This was for the first time he had actually heard that word and that's the reason he got shy.
"Okay." Taehyung silently mumbled still feeling shy.
"And what were you doing?"
"Planning"
"What Planning Tae?"
'Shit get control of yourself Tae and think of an excuse quickly' he scolded himself for blurting out that.
"Oh actually I just received the news that Mi Kwan is banning me from his birthday party, my name has been written off from the list of guests." Taehyung said.
"You want to go to that party?" Jeongguk casually asked.
"Yeah. Don't think that I'm going to the party for that Mi Kwan. Its just that I want to go there to give him a gift, that's all." Taehyung explained fearing that maybe Jeongguk will think otherwise.
"You can go with me. Be my date?" Jeongguk simply asked in his soothing voice.
"You are invited?" Taehyung asked shocked as from what he knows Mi Kwan hate Jeongguk. Why would he invite him to his birthday party.
"Yeah. Jang family has always invited Jeon family, it's just that we never attended their parties. Birthday party is just for the name Tae, they invite every rich and reputed families to show off their connections or built new connections. Nothing is genuine in business world, they will do everything for their profits" Jeongguk explained calmly as if it was nothing new.
"But Our family is nothing like that Ggukie." Taehyung replied which filled Jeongguk's heart with unexplainable warmth. Taehyung said 'Our Family' not My or Yours and 'Family' not families, as if he considers both Kim and Jeon family as one single family.
"Yeah Our family is not like that. So Mr. Kim will you be my date for tomorrow's party?" Jeongguk teased.
"Not very romantic of you Mr. Jeon." Taehyung continued.
"Do you a romantic proposal?" Jeongguk asked, this time voice sincere.
"No, not for this one Ggukie. But in future I do want a romantic proposal." Taehyung said.
He really didn't want any romantic proposal for this date when he knew that going to this party is a part of his revenge plan. He did not want to remember his first proposal as a part of his revenge. He did not want to taint anything related to their love with the colour of revenge and his hatred.
"Okay. You will get a surprise proposal in future."
"I'm waiting."
"Tae I will talk to you later. I have to go somewhere. I'll pick you for party at 6PM." Jeongguk said
"Okay. Bye Ggukie. Take care and don't overwork yourself. And don't forget to eat lunch."
"Yes sir." Jeongguk joked and hanged up the call.
'Just wait Mi Kwan. Your downfall has just started.' Taehyung thought as he busied himself with the contracts.
