As a young lad, you were chosen to be in an arranged marriage with Princess Diaspro of Eraklyon.
Except that the marriage didn't exactly pan out.
You never liked the girl your and her families were destined to be with. You thought she was a bitchy princess, and she saw you as an asshole prince.
Naturally, both families took you and her away from each other because they knew this wasn't going to work out.
As you grew up, you saw many other men like you attempt to try to get with her, and all of them failing.
Simply put, they don't know who she is or how she acts.
You watched as every single person in the line passed by and left with a sad expression on their faces.
As you witnessed the last person exiting, a big present landed right next to you.
Shocked, you reached for it and picked it up.
As soon as you grabbed it, you found yourself standing inches from the princess and her throne.
You became more and more nervous as you walked up the steps.
"Why did I pick it up?" you thought. "Now I have to deal with her..."
As soon as you reached the top step, you set down the present.
"Move forward with your present in hand," the voice told you to do.
You moved forward, slowly, holding the present in both your arms.
"Please reveal yourself to the princess," the voice stated.
You set the present down next to her.
Diaspro: "Oh, it's you."
"Hi, princess," you responded meekly.
Diaspro: "What are you doing here?"
"You see, this was by chance, I just found this present next to me outside and--"
Diaspro: "Give it to me."
You reluctantly gave the present to her. She opened it up and saw a small book.
Diaspro: "What's this?"
"I don't know."
Diaspro went through the book.
Diaspro: "Wasn't this the time we went to the ice cream parlor?"
"Yeah, and wasn't that our little spat over dinner?"
Diaspro: "And the time your father took us fishing?"
"And the..."
Let's just leave it at you two began to reminisce about a lot of the things that happened between both of you.
"Well, I better get going. I know you're not going to choose me to marry you, and--"
Diaspro: "What is this?"
"Uh, that's a ring?"
Diaspro: "Yes. It is a ring."
"How'd that get in the box? I never opened it."
Diaspro: "How it got in the box doesn't matter anymore."
"What does tho?"
Diaspro leaned into your ear.
Diaspro: "(y/n), would you take my hand and by my lawfully wedded prince?"
You widened your eyes in shock.
"I-i-i-i-i-i---"
Diaspro: "You only have a few minutes to make your decision."
You held Diaspro by her hand.
"Well, in that case, yes. Princess Diaspro, I gladly take your hand in marriage."
In the end, Princess Diaspro finally got her wish: to be with a prince that would care for her and not get into unnecessary love drama.
