After a three day trip on a secret route with many obstacles, Cyno and Al Haitham had finally reached the shores of Snezhanaya, and he couldn't be more ready to charge Into the castle but he remembered his carefully thought out plan, they'd disguise themselves and find a way to Infiltrate the castle with the only way possible they knew how, after hiding their ship Cyno and Al Haitham changed into the Snezhnayan disguises they'd gotten their hands on, before they embarked into the frozen kingdom's town to first gather Information, and they started by going into one of the local taverns where they'd ordered drinks
Cyno's white hair was tied back and the armor he wore shined In the faint light, he and Al Haitham were posing as castle guards which would make getting In easier
Tavern man # 1 "Did you hear, Prince Ajax caught himself a women from the kingdom of Sumeru and intends to make her his mistress"
Cyno's eyes widened and he balled his fist "That lowlife...."
Al Haitham whispered, "Your Highness, you have to calm down...."
Cyno took in a breath as he then felt his power surge stop and his anger cooled, just as Al Haitham gave a sound of disgust after he drank some of the liquor In his mug
"The stuff In Sumeru's better...."
Cyno put down his mug before he gestured to Al Haitham, and he placed some Mora onto the table before they left the Tavern as they walked through the town, seeing the grand castle In the distance which was their goal to make It there without any hitches, Cyno and Al Haitham put their armor helmets back on that only showed their eyes as they walked along, but when they'd finally made It to the castle they were stopped by two of the guards out front
"Where're you from?"
Cyno cleared his throat, "We've been sent by the Captain to do our hourly rounds"
the two looked at each other before they let them pass, and they headed further Inside as there were fire lit torches all around, but then Cyno pulled Al Haitham out of sight
"Listen, we're going to split up from here on to find her and the children"
Al Haitham gave a nod, "I understand,"
"We might not be able to be Discreet if we're found out...but do what you can before It sets off any alarm"
"Yes Sir"
they then split up as they went inside the castle Itself, and many steps away you were In your own room playing with Ahmanet and Chakir, It seemed that they'd grown more once again
you smiled as you held their little hands in yours while singing to them, all the while they let out little giggles and happy sounds of their own as you guessed they liked the song, It was one your Mother would sing to you whenever you were upset as a baby
but then the momentary peace and happiness you felt vanished as you heard a voice
"Princess, Prince Ajax wishes to see you In his Chambers"
you then swallowed hard as you replied, "Alright, I'll be there send for Anya please"
moments later Anya came to look after the twins for you, and you left them In her care before you hesitantly left to Ajax's room down the hallway, you held the skirts of your dress as you followed the servant all the way there, you were honestly fearful of what he'd want now
and upon coming to his room the servant opened the door as you stepped inside, to see Ajax sitting by the fireplace but then he turned, "You're here, please come join me I had some wine brought for us to enjoy"
you took in a breath as you walked over to the other chair, before sitting down
Ajax turned to you, "you know something...my marriage with Sandrone was only something diplomatic"
you looked to the fire, "So was mine...but Cyno and I fell In love"
"That's good, that's always a nice occurance and now what became of that love Is your twins...I while you were in Mother's Company earlier I went to see them, they're very cute"
you shifted, "please don't come near them again...."
Ajax looked to you, "oh come on what would I do to them? I'd never harm children"
he then stood up as he picked up a glass and filled It with wine, before he gave one to you and you held onto the glass of wine as Ajax then filled his own
"Now let's have a toast shall we"
you furrowed your brows, "What would we toast for?"
Ajax's eye shined, "To a future together...I'll divorce Sandrone and have her sent back home, then we'll get married soon after"
you felt your stomach drop, "What did you say....?"
you stood up and the wine glass slipped from your hand, and it shattered upon hitting the floor with It's content's spilling onto the floor but then you shook your head as you started leaving
but Ajax quickly caught you, "Hey, Hey where're you going"
you tried to break free, "you're Insane"
his grip on your wrist tightened up, before he twisted your arm behind you again and you let out a scream as you once again tried to break free but he then kicked you onto your knees, and outside upon hearing your scream Cyno knew It was you and he started running
he threw off his helmet and summoned his polearm as he followed where it came from, and upon reaching Ajax's bedroom door he channeled his powers as he knocked down the doors
*BOOM, CRASH*
you covered your head and ducked down but Ajax didn't move In time as he was soon hit by a chunk of the debris, which knocked him out cold onto the floor but when the dust settled...
"(Y/n)!"
you looked up In shock as you saw Cyno, he rushed over to help you stand up as you then wrapped your arms around him as you started to break down, "Cyno!"
Cyno held you tight as his hands trembled, all those days of worrying had finally left his body as he held you in his arms all the while he rested his face in your neck as he kissed that spot
but then he parted from you a little, "My Love...Forgive me"
you shook your head and cupped his cheeks, "Don't...please..."
he kissed your hands, "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner I was out for a while after you'd been taken"
Cyno pressed kisses all over your face and lastly pressed his lips onto yours as you kissed but then you quickly broke away as Cyno started guiding you out of the room
"Where're the children" he asked
you stopped him, "They're In my room, It's this way"
he then followed you as you ran through the halls together back to the bedroom you stayed In, just as you arrived you burst inside to see Anya with them and
"Princess! huh...who's he?"
you gestured, "My husband General Mahamatra, Anya quickly help me to get the children ready"
"Yes right away"
Cyno looked to you, "Can we trust her, who is she?"
"she showed me so much kindness while I was here, and she even wanted to help me escape before don't worry she reminds me of Nisha"
Cyno gave a nod before he went over to see Ahmanet and Chakir, In which filled him with even more relief to see they were alright too, after Anya bundled them up In swaddles made of furs she handed them to you as she then motioned for you and Cyno to follow her
Cyno started, "I wonder where Al Haitham is,"
but then as you turned the corner you looked on in fear to see Ajax standing with his sword
"Where do you think you're going?"
Cyno stepped in front of you, "(Y/n) go with the children...It's time for me to end this"
"b...but darling"
Cyno looked back and gave you a smile of reassurance, "Everything will be alright"
you then gave a firm nod before you hurried away with Anya, just as Cyno summoned his polearm again as Ajax cracked his neck to prepare "I'm gonna enjoy this....".
