Bella POV
"I can't even believe how much has changed these last few months" Jane gushed as she slumped into the red plush chair next to me.
"I know" I smiled at her, as I closed my book. "Just think, a few months ago I was a feeble human sobbing in a wood over a douche bag and now I'm part of the Volturi guard and dating your brother"
"It's so weird how you're dating my brother. Literally, I can't even get my head around it. But how is it? Like do you see it going anywhere?" Jane asked me, curiously.
"Yeah, I mean, definitely. I mean I love-"
"Woah woah woah, did you just say you love him?" Jane cut me off.
"No" I tilted my head away from here, to hide my smile.
"Yes you did, Yes you did"Jane began to taunt me.
"Bella loves Alec. Bella loves Alec" she began to sing.
"Shut up!" I hissed at her as I put my hand over her lips.
"Ok ok!" she mumbled against my hand. "I won't say anything"
I removed my hand.
"But have you exchanged love you yet?" she asked me, seriously.
"Well..." I trailed off, avoiding her gaze.
"Yes?" she probed.
"Maybe...." I said hesitantly.
"Oh my God!" Jane squealed, as she clapped her hands together. "How come I don't know this? When? When did this happen?"
"Woah, calm down. Just last week...after our third date, it kind of just slipped out"
"Oohhhh, this is so cute, I love it"
"Anyway, as I was saying so much has changed and I think I have really changed too" I said, desperately trying to change the subject.
"Yeah definitely, I mean it feels like you've always been here.." Jane agreed, with a smile.
"Aww, your own happily ever after" Jane sighed, contently.
"Please can you not be so cheesy!" I complained, as I hit her lightly.
Jane stuck her tongue out at me.
"Do you like being part of the guard?" Jane asked me.
"Yeah...I mean it's cool and fun but we don't really do much do we?"
"Yeah, it's about time we had some action" Jane enthused.
"Maybe..I dunno I like just relaxing here with you and Alec" I murmured.
"Not just relaxing with Alec" Jane added, with a smirk.
I glared at her.
"Ok ok sorry...jeez, it's really easy to annoy you, by the way" Jane grinned at me.
"Seriously though, I love Volterra and all of the Volturi. It's perfect" I smiled.
"I know" Jane sighed, with a soft smile.
"You know we ought to get going or we're gonna be late" I reminded Jane, after a few seconds of silence.
"Oh my gosh, yea, I completely forgot. Holiday. Airport." Jane flustered, as she got up.
I chuckled.
"Come on slow coach, we have less than 20 minutes and the airport is half an hour away" I reprimanded her.
"No we have less that 20 minutes and the airport is five minutes away" Jane corrected me.
I raised an eyebrow at her.
"What? I'm not planning on driving at a human rate, you know" Jane said.
At the airport
"You ready, gorgeous?" Alec asked me, as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
I nodded.
"I can't wait- it's going to be so fun!" Jane screeched from behind me.
"Oh my God, shut up!" I complained as I turned to hit her.
"Sorry!"
I exchanged a wary glance with Alec.
"So where are we going in the end?" I asked Alec, curiously.
"Uh uh, not telling you" Alec shook his head.
"What?" I stuttered in disbelief. "But everybody else knows"
"I know"
"I can't believe this" I stuttered. "Ugh, I hate you"
"Oh no, don't say that...the plane might crash and I might die and then you would forever regret telling me that".
"Alec, what is the possibility of you dying? Nearly impossible! Especially as the result of a plane crash- so don't worry" I laughed.
"C'mon let's go" Alec said, as he tugged me along onto our private jet.
Nearly everybody was already on the plane. Not all of the Volturi guard were going on holiday, however, and nearly none of them were going with us. It was just six of us going together: myself, Alec, Jane, James, Felix and Heidi, so our plane was not too crowded and there was loads of space on it.
"How long are we going to be in the air for?" I asked Alec, subtly hoping to discover where we were going.
Alec paused.
"About seven or eight hours" he finally answered, studying my reaction carefully.
"Right" I said, keeping my face emotionless.
I sat down on the sofa. Alec sat beside me. Picking up the remote, I quickly scanned through the list of channels and movies and decided to watch Love actually. As I turned it on, Alec groaned.
"Are you kidding me?" he complained.
"What?"
"Love actually really? It is so predictable and cliche"
"So, I like cliches" I said stubbornly.
"Right" Alec said sarcastically.
"I do!"
"Okay okay" Alec said in defeat, putting his hands up.
"But you know what i like even more?" I asked, with a soft smile.
"No?" Alec asked.
"You" I said as I kissed his lips.
"And I thought you didn't like cheesy" Alec smirked.
"Oh shut up!"
Five hours later
"Oh my gosh- you're kidding! The carribean!"
"Oh my God, I'm gonna get a tan" Jane shrilled.
I bursted out laughing.
"Yeah, good luck with that" I choked out.
Jane stuck her tongue out at me.
"Come on, let's go" Alec said as we got off the plane.
"Where are we staying?" I asked.
"Well, the Volturi own numerous properties around the world, including one in the carribean..." Alec trailed off.
"I can't even- this is just incredible" I murmured in awe. "But why are we so far away?"
"Oh you'll see" Alec said with a wink.
Beep beep
"Who's texting you?" Alec asked confused.
"Um no one" I fumbled "It's probably just my phone updating"
"Did you keep your phone?" Alec asked surprised.
"Yeah"
"Oh" he said, studying my expression.
"Ok then" he said finally, turning away to find Jane.
I sighed. I felt awful about lying to Alec but I didn't really have a choice. If I told him that I was texting Alice and Jasper, he would be horrified and confused. He hated the Cullens and I knew that if he found out he would definitely tell Aro and I had no idea how he would react. Besides, as far as Alec was aware, he thought that the Cullens and everybody else thought that I was dead. I'd have to be careful, Alec already knew something was up.
"I'm just going to pick up our luggage, ok?" Alec said as h kissed my lips softly.
"Sure" I said with a smile. "I'll wait here"
Alec threw me one more concerned glance before he left along with the others.
Quickly I pulled my phone out.
You have one text from Alice Cullen- my phone alerted me.
Glancing behind me to check if anyone was coming back, I changed the contact name to Renee. Maybe I could pretend that my mum kept texting me in the hope that I would reply.
I clicked on the text and scanned it quickly.
Bella,
I haven't heard from you for a while now.
How is Volterra?
Are the Volturi treating you nicely?
I know you're probably still really upset about the Edward thing, but he's acting really weird right now and I think it is because he misses you. I can see our futures entwining but I have no idea when or what about.
Don't give up on him- he still loves you as you do him.

I sighed, I had absolutely no idea how to reply to that at all. Alice has no idea at all that I have a new boyfriend and that I am completely over Edward. And what if she did something about the fact that Edward might still love me. Besides, he doesn't. You wouldn't hurt someone you loved like that and even if he did it wouldn't change anything because I love Alec. Sighing, I typed back a vague and brief reply.

Volterra is great thanks, I absolutely love it and have made great friends. It really feels like home, you know?
We're on holiday now, abroad...somewhere hot and sunny and it looks like it is going to be loads of fun.

I knew that I was completely ignoring the whole Edward thing but honestly I had no idea how to reply to that. I'd also been careful to hide the actual name of where we were going on holiday.
"Hey" Alec said, startling me from behind, as he kissed my cheek.
"Oh.." I fumbled, as I quickly hid my phone. "hey"
Alec turned to face me. "You ok?"
"Yeah, just excited" I said, with a fake smile.
Luckily, Jane came to my rescue.
"Yeah, OMG it is gonna be incredible, I mean it always is but now that we have Bella as well..well, it's going to be just fantastic!" she exclaimed.
"Woah woah calm down pixie" Felix laughed.
Jane stuck her tongue out at him.
"Alright let's go" Heidi announced as she strode off.
We all followed her onto a motor boat. It was painted white and had the Volturi crest painted onto it in red. It was a absolutely massive and had six deck chairs on the top. Inside, the boat was furnished modernly. We headed down the stairs. The inside was very large- the pale neutral colours adding to this feel of space. In the centre, there were two long cream sofas and a TV, as well as a coffee table and a couple of magazines. This was obviously the living room. To the side, in the corner, was a kitchenette. It had marble counter and pale white cupboards. I found it hilarious that we actually spent money on having a nice kitchen...I'm sure it will come to great use. Just beyond the sitting room, there were six doors.
"So this is your and Alec's room" Heidi said motioning to the first pale blue door.
I smiled and nodded in understanding.
"And this is Jane and James's room" Heidi said motioning to the second door, which was made out of oak.
"This is mine and Felix's room" Heidi said indicating the fourth door, which was green.
"Through this door are the stairs that lead down a deck. Down a deck there is the jacuzzi and swimming pool and also tennis courts." Heidi said, pointing at the last door. "Through this door is the library. Through here are all of the closets and through here is just another living room."
"Oh my gosh this is just so cool" I said in awe. "A swimming pool"
"I know" Jane agreed.
"So how long will this journey take?" I asked.
"About one and a half days."
"Right, I can see why you like to arrive at a further away airport" I said to Alec.
Alec smiled at me.
"I'm so excited" I grinned.
"I know- it's going to be great" Jane agreed.
But one thing kept bothering me at the back of my mind- what was I going to do about Alice?

I am so so sorry, it has taken me so long.
I have had complete writer's block and not really been feeling it- but I've pulled through.
So, one more chapter and then time skip!
I am really not that sure about this chapter....so tell me what you think ( I can redo it if you guys give me suggestions)
