I placed my phone on the table as I sat down for a while with Kurumi, who located herself on my lap. Mukuro also came up to me and snuggled into my chest.
Mukuro: Darren-kun, are we actually going to DEM headquarters and helping Miku?
Darren: Since it was a request made by Kotori and the other members of Ratatoskr, I would have no doubt but to say yes.
Mukuro: Then, we will join you.
Darren: No! What if you guys got caught by DEM? That would be the worst case scenario.
Kurumi: But you already accepted the request and we're a team. You're not leaving without us and we're not leaving without you.
Darren: Don't worry, I have Yuko and Lucas to back me up. I won't have any problems there.
Kurumi: That's why we are worried about you. Yuko and Lucas are extreme troublemakers. They would cause a lot more trouble for you as well.
Darren: No-
Suddenly, someone appeared behind me and hugged my back.
White Queen: We're joining you guys no matter what!
Tohka: That's right! If you're not including us, we won't help with anything anymore.
Darren: Fine! I cracked, ok? You guys can come.
I walked back to my room while, the moment I was inside my room. I was pulled inside a dimension and was faced with Mio Takamiya once more.
Darren: Takamiya Mio... long time no see. What's this about?
Mio: Please do not go. Something bad would happen. I swear to you that please do not go!
Darren: I can't. I have to go, anyways. You're just a prisoner of war here anyways, you are in no position to order me around.
Mio: I beg of you...
Darren: It's fine. Don't worry, I won't go astray.
I snapped and released her of her chains.
Darren: You'll still be constricted here. But, I won't keep you in chains anymore. I'm going now, see ya.
I teleported out of the dimension while sighing on my own bed.
Darren: (this will be a pain.)
-To Yuko's room-
Yuko POV:
I sat on my bed with Artoria (saber) along with Lucas who was sighing and playing video games on his phone.
Lucas: I don't understand why would he accept that request.
Artoria (saber): Yeah, Yuko-kun. I don't understand what is the decision for Darren to accept Shido's request if he hates Shido so much.
Merlin: (Master, there is something, a theory I want to correct.)
Yuko: (Yeah?)
Merlin: (Could Darren be wanting to fix his relationship with Shido?)
Yuko: (Possible, although that theory is very well off the tracks since he would kill Shido the next time that Shido is caught talking to Kurumi.)
Merlin: (I see...)
Jeanne: (Master, I have another theory. Could Darren care about the spirits but he doesn't want to accept Shido's request?)
Yuko: (Darren does care about the spirits, just not sure about that theory since he wouldn't go out of his way to save someone besides Kurumi and the others.)
Jeanne: (I see...)
Artoria (Lancer): (Master, could Darren be trying to plan something?)
Yuko: (I have no idea, Darren is a tricky guy to read. Even if you were able to read him, it would only be for a split second.)
Lucas: Oi, Yuko. You have the necessary stuff for the raid tomorrow? Ratatoskr will be placing their all, we should at least get serious for this.
Yuko: Yeah... I have the servants ready. Just waiting for the raid. I wanna make sure to defeat those people as soon as possible.
Lucas: Then you better be well prepared. Darren isn't particularly happy about this raid. But, at least be enthusiastic about it in front of the Ratatoskr people.
Yuko: This mission is going to be extremely dangerous.
Artoria (Saber): Master, I have a suggestion. Why don't you two abandon Darren Satoru and leave him be?
Yuko: WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!
Lucas: DARREN IS OUR BEST FRIEND! WE WOULD RATHER DIE THAN BETRAY HIS TRUST AGAIN! Not again...
Yuko: I don't wanna betray the friend who helped me so much just like that.
I just laid on my bed while Lucas walked back to his room.
Lucas: Yuko, I have something for you.
He threw me something that was in a different language and was unreadable.
Yuko: (What the hell?)
Merlin: (I would say that this is some sort of protection charm. But this language is so complex that it would take me weeks to understand.)
Yuko: (Must be the language of the Monarchs.)

Kira POV:
I walked towards Issac who was sitting on a chair and Ellen who was sitting on another chair, I quickly made myself comfortable on the couch while looking at Issac.
Kira: Well, Issac. You sure that this raid will go exactly as you planned?
Issac: Instead of giving me the credit, why don't you give yourself some credit as well. Since you were the one that thought of this plan.
Kira: Indeed, but I must say-
I placed my hands on Issac's table while grinning sinisterly at him.
Kira: Should there be any failures, like last time. I will eliminate all of DEM and you instantly. My threats are not to be taken as empty threats or light threats.
Everyone just went silent as I positioned myself on the couch while handing Issac three pawn pieces.
Kira: Wouldn't you say that this is the perfect chance for a game of chess?
Issac: What for?
Kira: Well-
I started setting out the chess board as Issac started to look at me while we started the chess match.
Kira: You see, Darren Satoru is a disturbance in this timeline. I hope you knew that.
Issac: Of course, I know. This is why the prophecy was bestowed upon me, right? To be the one to kill Darren Satoru.
Kira: Those three pawn pieces that I gave you, I hope you knew what it was for.
Issac: It was for the Monarchs that you will send to this mission right? Poison, Beast and Lightning.
Kira: Indeed, I hope that scientist of yours has successfully created that device.
Issac: You mean the despair machine? The one that brings the worst fear out of people through the form of a vision?
Kira: Indeed, also. The brainwashing machine and that Nomu. I hope that they are all finished.
Issac: You do not need to fret. They are all prepared.
Kira: I don't fret for myself. All that I am doing if you do fail is collect my resources from you. Darren Satoru isn't one to be underestimated, if you do.
I placed my final chess piece just one space apart from Issac's queen as the game ended in a checkmate.
Kira: It will end in your defeat and death. I have said all that I need to say. I hope that you understand.
I walked out of the meeting room while walking towards the lab and saw two people talking to each other.
???: And using this formula, that will make the Nomu perfect for the job.
Kira: Ahem, I hope everything is perfect for when they do come and attack tomorrow.
One of them turned around to see me with a shocked face.
???: MR KIRA! Of course, everything is ready, just a final check here and there won't hurt now.
Kira: I surely hope that the check won't delay this progress. After all, I do wish that this machine is able to defeat Darren Satoru.
???: Of course, the Nomu has been tested to be at least just as strong as a Monarch's commander.
Kira: Indeed, I can just feel the aura coming from it.
???: That's not all. The despair machine and the brainwashing machine is ready.
He showed me two machines with one that was labeled as a despair machine and another one as a brainwashing machine.
???: The Despair machine brings out the worst in people. It will show them their worst fear as visions and break them down bit by bit. Perfect counter for Darren Satoru.
???: The other one. Is a brainwashing machine, which requires the mind of someone to be completely broken. Paired with the despair machine is the perfect duo. This is the perfect plan to trap Darren Satoru.
Kira: I see... this must be useful then, I hope.
???: Mr Kira, I hope you will await for our results tomorrow.
Kira: I don't know when the raid will be. But I will be on campus tomorrow if I have the time.
I walked out of the lab while grinning to myself.
Kira: (This time, you shall truly see despair, Darren Satoru. I will break you so far that you can't even recognize who you are. I shall mentally break you first, then I shall kill you.)
Kira: (I hate you, Darren Satoru. Which is why, I will kill you and achieve my happy ending that I can receive by killing you and your friends.)
