you were lying down on your bed as you were taking a nap, your mother came to check on you moments ago as she was worried again but she soon left you to sleep, sometimes your parents worried you may do the unspeakable due to your grief and loss but you told them you'd never, It helped to ease worry a little bit as your parents trusted you,
as you slept you had a beautiful dream for the first time in days, within the dream you were holding your baby In your arms that shared Its father's hair and your eyes, smiling as you pressed a kiss to the babies forehead but then someone came up behind you, and that figure was Cyno who wrapped his arms around you with a gentle smile on his face, as he then pressed kisses to your neck before he smoothed the baby's hair down gently
you smiled in your sleep, some tears streamed down onto your pillow as you continued to dream but then something happened, he then started fading away and you held onto the baby as you tried to reach for him, but he disappeared, and you fell onto your knees as you clung onto your baby while breaking down into tears just as you woke up from the dream with a gasp
you put a hand to your heart as you breathed in and out quickly, but then you started to calm down and wipe the tears from your cheeks, but just then Maharet came into your room
"Princess, are you alright?"
you nodded, "yes, I just had a dream"
she came over and sat on your bed, "did you dream of his highness"
"Yes...he and I were looking at our baby...but then...he went away all of a sudden"
Maharet rubbed your back, but then you turned to her "It was so real...I thought I could feel his arms around me"
"When you dream of the one you love, it can feel real at times" she said
you took In a breath, you then hugged your legs close to you as you buried your face In your knees, you didn't cry you were just keeping your eyes closed for the moment
but then there came a knocking on your door, and you looked up "yes? enter"
Nisha opened the door, and peeked her head inside "my lady...there's a strange Soldier who just arrived at the palace, asking urgently to see you and their majesties"
you furrowed your brows slightly, you then nodded and got up from your bed as you started leaving your bedroom with them following along, you walked down the long hallway as you then made your way to the east side of the palace, and upon coming to the palace entrance you saw a soldier standing there with his mouth covered with a helm on his head
you saw your parents had arrived as well, King Xavier started "who are you? you wished to see us all is their news from the front, are you from General Al Haitham's army?"
the soldier looked up and reached to take off his helmet and mask, his hair pearly white and a little longer than before and his eyes beautiful like the sunrise, and his face....
"How can this be!" exclaimed Queen Devika
your eyes widened as you saw his face, you couldn't believe what you were seeing right now as he then dropped the mask and helmet, with a gentle smile coming onto his face
"I'm back...I promised you I'd return"
you took a step forward as he then started walking towards you, and once In front of you he brought you into an embrace as you then held onto him tightly, starting to break down as you cried aloud into his shoulder while you trembled, but he held onto you never letting go
you breathed, "Cyno....!"
Cyno's eyes started to cloud with his own tears, and one streamed down his cheek as he then closed his eyes but then you slowly parted to look at him again, and he cupped your cheeks
"please forgive me...my love"
you sniffled, as he wiped your tears using his thumbs before he pressed a kiss to your forehead and then your cheeks, then finally he crashed his lips onto yours as you then kissed back while clinging onto each other, you soon parted to breath and you smiled fully for the first time in days as he ran his hand through your hair, and he returned the smile that always warmed your heart
"Cyno...how...we thought that you..." you asked
Cyno let out a sigh, "That is a long story...let's just say I was saved by something"
he touched his forehead to yours, "I made a deal at the moment I was to cross over to the afterlife...and was imbued with the power I needed to return to life...It didn't seem like an Ominous or evil entity, and they promised to give me the strength to end this war"
you leaned into his touch, "I understand..."
your parents looked on In great relief that Cyno was alive, feeling their sadness now going away
Cyno brought his hands onto your shoulders, "one of my subordinates barely noticed that I was still breathing and rushed me away to place called Aaru Village, it took time for me to heal from my Injury...but once again with you In mind I pushed on as I trained myself all over again"
King Xavier cleared his throat, and Cyno turned to bow low to him "Father In Law"
"Cyno I'm very thankful to see that you're back,"
Cyno bowed his head, "Thank you"
Queen Devika wiped her tears, "Welcome back Cyno"
your mother went over to Cyno and guided him to rise, she then looked him over as a mother would before bringing him into a hug and he was taken aback, but then he returned the hug
"Thank you" he whispered with a smile
she then parted from him, and you came to your husband's side as you then realized
you smiled warmly, "Darling"
"Hm?"
you took his hand into yours and brought It to rest on your stomach, just as Cyno looked at your stomach In shock now realizing what you meant, his sunrise eyes started to cloud over with tears once again but then he hugged you close, before he lifted you up by the waist
"Is It true?"
you smiled as you nodded quickly and he put you down carefully, he smiled lovingly as he then brought you into a kiss once more before he brought your hand up to his lips, kissing It
"Had I known, I would've tried my best to heal sooner and return"
you touched his cheek, "It's alright, please don't worry about that"
Cyno kissed your hand again, before he turned "Father-In-law, this time...I will keep my promise without fail I'll go and see that this war is over"
"Very well, and since you have returned I will reinstate you as General Mahamatra"
Cyno bowed his head In respect, he then picked up the helmet from off the ground
he then turned to you, "my love, I'm heading back into battle"
you started, "but-"
"I know you're scared after all that's happened...I'm very sorry for what you must've gone through, please know that I will return again, and all the killing will end once and for all"
Cyno looked you in the eye, "I will come back to you and our child"
you touched his arm and gave him a nod, you then wrapped your arms around his neck as you hugged once more now feeling more than ever that everything would be okay, Cyno pressed a kiss to the side of your head and touched your stomach, before he let go and started to leave
"Wait!"
Cyno turned to see Nisha as she ran to him, holding his helmet with ears that was brought back from the battlefield, Cyno took It into his hands as then put It on as he took In a breath before he started out of the palace and down the stairs, and you went outside as you watched him get back onto his horse as he brought his hands to his lips and gestured to you, In which you returned the gesture as you then called out "I will wait for you!"
Cyno smiled warmly and gave a nod, before he held to the reigns of his horse and snapped them as his horse started off quickly while you watched him go.
