this is a matter of life and afterdeath so better read carefully, especially near the end.
when i started planning in my head the details of things i wanted to happen in the dance you're, oh so close to read about!, honestly
i started doing the most simple research. simply tuping, 'flamenco music'. problem solved though? no 😃💢
HEEELP!!!
i wasn't sure of what i was looking for exactly. i didn't have many specific names in mind. i knew however that i wanted a flamenco melody that would have -not necessarily- dramatic intro, sound passionate, have fast tempo and last for 4 minutes the most.
but everything i listened to and hoped would give me what i was looking for was lacking from something i wanted.
most of these melodies had slow tempo. other didn't sound passionate enough and other lasted for more than 4 minutes, which frustrated me. not all search was fruitless though. truly, there were a few melodies with strong flamenco vibes that were almost meeting all characteristics i was looking for.
these, i considered hearing them again and taking final decisions of which one i would pick when the day i would write for this dance you wanna read about would come. honorable mentions are the music of the taalbi brothers and more music of rodrigo y gabriela (from which i picked el diablo rojo for geno's dance battle against the humans).
while keeping these in mind, i recalled other tracks that smelled like flamenco and almost considered them as potential ones for this dance. at the very end though, i rejected them. one example was the spanish tango from the mask of zorro. it is passionate enough, the tempo although not really fast still was almost convincing me...
but the time it lasts is way too little. heck, it barely lasts more than 1 minute, it's repetitive and i really wanted something that would last longer than that. also, morally to myself, i said i can't take such epic melody from such epic movie. while thinking of that melody however, a funny idea came to me, like:
"OH! OH SH*T! MASK OF ZORRO BUT IT'S UNDERTALE AND HAS AFTERDEATH AS THE MAIN SHIP!!!"
if one of you beeshes doesn't make a crossover afterdeath x the mask of zorro movies fanfiction, with geno as elena, reaper as alejandro and -preferably- padre felipe as alter, imma steal from ya all your livers =)
anyways. another melody that screamed to me flamenco and almost convinced me to use was hisoka's theme from the anime hunter x hunter.
i mean, in my hearing, this theme lacks almost nothing. it has fast tempo, it has a passion and definitely lasts longer than the spanish tango. why though didn't i pick it as THE melody for this dance soon coming up:
deep inside, something felt... wrong. i have no problem with hisoka, heck, quite the opposite! despite his *cough cough* dirty habits, he's one of the biggest moods of the anime, whoever has seen the anime even a few episodes from it with this guy in, will probably understand.
but in all of the passion of his theme, in my mind it has a rather threatening one, not loving. also, despite it almost became my ultimate choice for this dance, at the end it is short too, kinda repetitive also and i kinda wanted to find something that hasn't find the spotlight in movies, or anime, or anywhere in tv. something rather unknown.
(maybeitcouldgetachanceiftherewasfellversionofcffap-) upon getting dissapointed not finding many flamenco melodies to convince me, as if God and the universe would want it• by searching so much flamenco music, it came to my recommendations someone i haven't heard of until 2-3 months ago: pepe castilla.
i had think then. but i press the first video that randomly popped up, one of his music tracks called «rumba flamenca». after skipping 2 f*cking adds i finally start listening. eh, from the 1st seconds only i started getting interested, like,
and i wait after the dramatic intro, which had caught my attention. but then, when the music started playing again, oh my Lord. i couldn't stop listening. and then, way too quickly i judged and internally yelled:
it has all traits i want. at first i was excited and thrilled. i had find the most potential track to make this dance come out exciting and- mwah! *chef kiss*
however as i was proceeding to start writting, in my mind popped once again (because yes, it had come to my choices more than once), the waltzache, the dancetale version of heartache. apparently that one, i remembered it having, instead of something quiet and saying, "yeah, it definitely suits as waltz music", having a mood that rather screams to me FLAMENCO. but rather orchestral. anyways, something-! passionate! glorious!
but i ignored it, up until now. when i thought though that i was done with finding music for the dance, i went to hear the whole waltzache out of curiosity. eh, minutes later i told myself,
raisa, you're f*cked 💀💀💀
because i started having seconds thoughts and i couldn't choose between rumba flamenca and waltzache. i was on the verge to start hitting my head on a table or wall, because both these 2 have what i wanted and i couldn't pick which one would go for the dance.
eventually i considered this:
"should i ask help from the readers?"
as i had run out of choices or ability to choose, i decided to turn at you all. children, if you really wanna see this fanfiction keep going, i will put you, one of the very few times i've ever done that, to pick and help me:
this,
or this?
i shouldn't probably spoil about the music that might come up, but i can leave you wondering about which one will be picked. how? i don't know when you'll be willing to listen to both of them (if you have never heard any of the 2), but whether on walk, whether doing chores, whether at anytime you have free time!
just listen to both of these and please, tell me, which of the 2 convinces you more for the dance most of you so badly want. to make it more agonising perhaps, you will not comment on this chapter or anywhere in the fanfiction about your preferance. you will message me in my private message box.
you will give me your answer there and i'll accept them only from there. any comment out of it won't count, will be deleted and the more you delay to reply or even listen to the 2 tracks, the more the afterdeath won't come. to understand better what will happen if you help:
i apologise for having you to do this for me but literally my braincells died trying to pick so i'm like, no no nope, i just can't anymore, both melodies are too d*mn beautiful and suitable for that dance.
have a great day or night and hopefully i get your replies. for the sake of helping this fanfiction to keep going and developing, choose, please. thank you for following the development so far and for your attention to read all this of me asking for your help.
