Darren POV:
I laid on the ground exhausted, while my body just won't allow me to move as most bones were broken, exhausted Mana and cursed energy pool from using Azarael and Zaphkiel. Suddenly, I was pulled into my mind. Where Kiriya visited me once more.
Darren: Yo, Old man.
Kiriya: Yo, young kid. How've you been?
Darren: Good, before you came.
Kiriya: Ok, you need to head to the throne now. The castle called for you didn't it? He's waiting for the righteous owner of the throne.
Darren: Yeah, I did come here for the throne. But that wasn't all of it.
Kiriya: You knew about the trials from the start huh?
Darren: Of course, there were three trials necessary to obtain the throne. Trial of combat, trial of mentality and trial of fear. I wouldn't have approached the throne if I didn't know what would happen.
Kiriya: Good job, Darren Satoru. I am proud of you as my vessel.
I was kicked out of my mind as I slowly sat up and approached the throne with my battered body. My shadow soldiers slowly appeared and bowed besides me. Yuko and Lucas also walked by my side. I finally reached the throne while Shoto, Yuji, Kirito and Naruto appeared next to the throne.
(Replace Rimuru with Darren, Shion with Yuko, Diablo with Lucas, Shuna with Shoto, Rigurd with Yuji, Benimaru with Kirito, Souei with Naruto and Gabiru with ???)
???: My lord, I am ever so pleased to meet you again.
Darren: Name?
A shadow soldier appeared in front of me and bowed.
???: I am Baruka, the 3rd general of the Undead army. It will be my pleasure to serve you, my liege.
Darren: My pleasure, Baruka. Now what is your powers?
Baruka: My powers are stealth and speed boosts. Which allows me to move at extreme speeds all while being stealthy.
Yuko: He's like JTR but under your control. His scent and aura feels similar to hers as well.
Darren: Why will you follow me and swear absolute loyalty to me?
Baruka: I was a general of the Undead army and followed Kiriya. When I sensed you, how I begged of you to become stronger just so that I could serve you once more.
Darren: Very well. Baruka, serve me. Your new monarch with absolute loyalty.
Baruka: Yes, my liege.
He disappeared into the shadows while we headed home. Kurumi seemed nervous as she stared at me, I just simply brushed my hair and stared at her.
Darren: It's fine, I don't mind about this. But finish what you started.
Kurumi: Yep.
Kurumi: I have a question for you.
Darren: Yes darling?
Kurumi: What was that angel you used? It had similar properties compared with my Zaphkiel and Mukuro's Micheal.
Darren: That was the project I asked Ciel to help me with. It's the fusion of Angels. I am able to fuse two angels using a part of their properties to create a new angel.
Darren: The one angel you used before was the angel of death Azarael. It allows me to travel through time and open up warp gates at will. The extra ability I gave the sword was to be able to trace items, powers and angels or even demon kings. It can copy anything perfectly. Problem is I have to know if it was made from cursed energy.
Kurumi: That's so cool!
Yuko: Dammit when did you gain that ability?
Lucas: I need a new unique ability myself now.
Wiz: That is so cool Darren-kun.
Darren: Yeah, but the angels that I trace would only be a copy and it wouldn't be as strong as the original. I also have to ask their permission first or they have intense feelings of love for me.
Kurumi: Wow, you have three angels now right?
Darren: Yep, I can trace more and I can do more fusion but right now my body's cursed energy can only take so much.
Wiz: Why can you only have three angels in your body at the same time?
Darren: Well, it's because of how Angels are the exact opposites of a demon lord. A angel is made from a different energy source from Demon kings which they are made from cursed energy. I have already obtained Lucifigus.
Kurumi: You can also use Demon lords?
Darren: They can't fuse with Angels but yes. I have obtained the Demon lords and is able to use them.
Kurumi: You are so cool.
Wiz: I also think that you are very cool Darren-kun.
I just smiled at them while fixing my hair. While we slowly approached home.
~The next day~
I awoke with Kurumi and Wiz sleeping next to me with Kurumi hugging me and snuggling into my chest while Wiz just snuggled into my back. I awoke both of them and they yawned cutely before Kurumi and I had to depart for school.
Darren: Kurumi I'm going to guess that you will say that the competition was a failure and no one won?
Kurumi: Yep, my spirit powers belong to you.
Darren: I guess. Let's go I don't want to be late or miss school again.
Darren: (Still, why do I feel like something bad would happen)
We rushed towards the classroom while I had to carry Kurumi on my back otherwise we would be late. I just quickly took a sip of my water bottle while listening to the boring class.
~After School~
I overheard Kurumi asking Shido to the rooftop while Yuko, Lucas and I followed the three.
Yuko: She learned her lesson right?
Lucas: Hard to tell. But from my perspective after realising her mistake, Darren is the only one that matters to her.
Darren: Probably, worst case. I will just turn inverse again and kill both her and Shido.
Yuko: True.
Lucas: Does your inverse have the capability to summon angels? Or just demon kings?
Darren: Demon kings.
We arrived at the rooftop while hiding behind a wall along with Shido's spirits hiding behind a wall that was directly opposite to ours.
Darren: (great minds think alike?)
Shido: So, Kurumi why did you call me here?
Kurumi: So Shido the competition-
Suddenly, Shido's chest was pierced with a light beam and blue flames surrounded the wound.
Darren: What the hell?
Yuko: Look!
Lucas: DEM!
Darren: FUSION! ZAPHKIEL AND MICHEAL! FUSION ANGEL OF DEATH! AZARAEL!
I summoned my angel while dashing towards Ellen who just stared at me and Artemisia blocked my sword with her own sword.
Darren: ARTEMISIA!
Artemisia: Sorry, but you are no longer Yuta.
Darren: Trace-
I was suddenly kicked in the stomach by a girl that was helping them.
Darren: YUKO! LUCAS! Support me!
Yuko: Yep.
Lucas: Yeah.
Suddenly a flash appeared before us and the next thing we know was that Shido's head was sliced off of his neck and Kurumi's arm was sliced off by Ellen.
Darren: SHIDO!
Yuko: SHIDO!
Everyone: SHIDO!
Darren: I'll create a distraction. FIRE FIST!
(replace Sabo with Darren, ignore Rebecca and replace the fire as blue fire)
The fire created a smoke which allowed Lucas, Yuko, Kurumi and I to run away to the nearby building with Shido's body.
Darren: He's dead.
Yuko: Yeah. We couldn't save him.
Suddenly a gust of wind came towards us and all of the spirit turned inverse.
(Replace the Kurumi in Astral dress with Darren and pretend that Yuko and Lucas is there)
Darren: DEM's goal was to kill Shido huh? I should've been more careful.
Kurumi was still speechless and she was desperately trying to heal Shido's body while crying.
Kurumi: No hope I FAILED EVERYTHING! I FAILED SHIDO AND I FAILED TO KILL THE SPIRIT OF ORIGIN!
Darren: KURUMI! CALM DOWN! I WILL FIX THIS! I WILL FIX EVERYTHING FOR YOU!
Yuko: We still have Darren, Lucas and I us three can defeat those spirits no problem.
Darren: Problem is that if we kill them then their hardwork would result to nothing.
Lucas: What do you expect huh? That we can bring Shido back from the dead? No, even with your powers you can only revive him as a soldier. Which won't calm them down. Not like you can travel back in time.
Suddenly, something within me clicked.
Kurumi: Wait, Darren.
Darren: Zaphkiel.
(Replace Kurumi with Darren)
Kurumi: DARREN NO!
Lucas: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Yuko: Why did you summon Zaphkiel.
Darren: ARISE THE FALLENS WHO HAVE LOST ALL BUT THEIR LOYALTY!
All of my shadow soldiers bowed down at me as I pointed the gun towards my head and smiled at them.
Darren: Will you all stick with me? Baruka, sorry for doing this. But I have to do this.
Baruka: It doesn't matter. I will stick you and the memories of the previous world will be retained as it's your powers. That lady over there, despite it being her angel. Won't remember anything.
Darren: Then, please follow me! EVEN IF I HAVE TO DIE A MILLION TIMES!
Yuko: WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!
Kurumi: VAV! IT SENDS A MIND BACK INTO THE PAST!
Shadow soldiers: OF COURSE MY LIEGE!
Darren: ZAPHKIEL! SIXTH BULLET! VAV!
I shot myself with Vav and I suddenly awoke in my bed again, with Kurumi doing the exact same thing this morning and Wiz as well. The morning went well and I dragged Lucas and Yuko to the staircase and told them everything about what happened in the past world.
Yuko: So you want our help to stop the DEM attack?
Lucas: Never thought that it would come this day.
Darren: Yeah. I do need help.
Yuko: Then count me in.
Lucas: Same here.
