Darren POV:
I just watched Kurumi being surrounded by other students. She apparently returned to school, no one paid attention to me as I just sat on my table.

Kurumi: You're as popular as ever Shido.
Darren: Shido, I'm going out for a bit.
Shido: Please stay here, in case she tries anything.
Darren: Fine. Kurumi, don't try anything while I'm here.
Kurumi: I won't Darren-Kun.
Darren: *sits back on his seat* Continue please.
She stepped out of her seat and started walking towards Shido.
Kurumi: There's no need to worry. I don't intend to stir up trouble in a place like this. Also, *looks at me* my boyfriend won't allow me as well.
Origami: Why should we believe you?
Darren: Touch her and I will kill you.
Shido: You would betray us for her?
Darren: It's not betraying, I just helped for Mukuro only. Now that Mukuro is saved, I have no more promises I need to keep.
Shido: Tch.
Kurumi: Also, if I really felt like it and wanted to resort to violence. I'd manifest my angel this very moment and Darren-kun would help me. Taking students hostage would be even simpler than that, since Darren's shadows would keep them under control.
Kurumi: The fact that I haven't done so with Darren-kun is proof i'm not lying.
Shido: You're using him as your puppet! Darren isn't your puppet!
Kurumi: No, I love him and I of course care about him.
Shido: Not what I'm hearing right now, Darren to you. Is just a tool.
Darren: So what?
Shido: Huh?
Darren: If I'm a tool, then I will stay like that till the end. Kurumi, if you get in my way and thinks of me as a tool. Then don't expect me to save you.
Kurumi: Of course.
Yuko: Enough, Kurumi.
Lucas: Darren, class is gonna start. Got the stuff?
Both: I don't think we told you this Kurumi. But, if you hurt our brother, then I will end you.
Kurumi: Fufufu, of course.
-Outside of classroom-
Darren POV:
I stood by the windowsill with Shido and Kurumi
Shido: Kurumi, tell us why you're here. I heard from Darren that you quit school a while ago and you're not here to enjoy school life like me and Darren right? But believe me, I'd like that. If so, we'll throw you a welcome party. After your power is sealed though.
Darren: Fuck off, Shido. You won't seal her powers I told you that already.
Shido: Of course.
Kurumi: Sure, that's fine by me.
I widened my eyes at what nonsense she was saying before returning to my usual cold and emotionless expression.
Kurumi: I'm ok with entrusting my spirit powers to you, or Darren, however... There's just one condition.
Darren: *while trying to hide my shock* What is the condition?
Kurumi: Darren-kun, Shido-san. Let's talk about it after school. There're too many people around.
Kurumi started walking away while I also walked the other way, just leaving Shido there in shock.
-In the DEM building-
Isaac POV:
Isaac: Zodiac has fallen into Ratatoskr's hands. Is this correct? Now Ratatoskr has ten spirits under their control. I'm ashamed of myself allowing my enemy to have so much advantage.
Ellen: Wrong.
Isaac: Hmm?
Ellen: She was not taken by Ratatoskr, but rather by Gojo Satoru!
I widened my eyes at her response, unable to hold my shock.
Isaac: Is that so? Now if knowing Gojo Satoru, he is completely insane and the only that one we know can keep a leash on him is Kurumi Tokisaki.
Isaac: However, this situation may not be what I was hoping for, but close enough. Even though Gojo Satoru is too strong for us to handle. We can tell by how much his mental health is dependent on Kurumi Tokisaki. If we can somehow destroy his mental health, then he would be out of the way.
Isaac: Beelzebub.
A small black book appeared on my hand.
Isaac: I can still use Beelzebub to hit Ratatoskr and Gojo Satoru where it hurts.
Isaac: If Gojo Satoru doesn't interfere with us. It's about time we made it happen: To use Shido Itsuka as the key to make Spirits invert. We should take care of Gojo Satoru, but he's an anomaly. It's better to leave him alone than to provoke him as he can kill us easily, he just goes too easy on us.
Artemisia: Leave it to me.
Ellen: This time, I'll produce results.
Isaac: I hope so. Still, if Gojo Satoru were to interfere with us. Although they will definitely not be enough for an opponent of his caliber. It will definitely slow him down. I hope that they can lend a hand to you.
Ellen: Helper?
Ellen: You mean a wizard?
I snapped my hands with that, hundreds of pages came flying and with it came out loads of spirits.

Isaac: Let me introduce you to Nibeelcole, the daughters of my Demon King!
Isaac: Start the operation at once. If Gojo Satoru were to find out, you can try and kill him. But you won't succeed. Just hold him long enough. I expect Shido Itsuka's head and but not really, Gojo Satoru's head by the end of the day.
-At school-
Darren POV:
I started to smoke again, while puffing out smoke was a way to fight my loneliness. It wasn't working so well. Today, Kurumi had barely spoken to me even when I tried talking to her. She just brushed me off and talked to Shido instead, Yuko and Lucas were there to talk, but it didn't replace the loneliness inside my empty heart.
Shido: Darren, cmon. Let's get going.
Darren: Don't order me around.
I threw the cigarette into the bin before trying to search for another one which was left empty. While Tohka and the other spirits looked at Shido with concern. Yuko and Lucas just stared at me in case if I need any backup.
Tohka: Are you sure, Shido? Wouldn't it be safer if we came?
Origami: Tohka's right, it's too dangerous seeing that Kurumi can be an enemy for you.
Kaguya: If you're planning to face a Spirit who's cloaked in shadows you need us!
Yuzuru: Agreement. We'll come along.
Yuko and Lucas stared at them, their eyes trying to covert a "Are you serious?" face.
Yuko: Haaah, Darren will keep Shido safe, maybe. If Darren decided to stand with Kurumi then it wouldn't be so safe for Shido.
Lucas: He's right, Darren stands as an anomaly for everyone. He takes his own side but would stick with Kurumi if he needs to. Don't need to trust us if you want.
Shido: Thanks, but I'll be fine. Since Darren is with me, Kurumi can't win against him.
Darren: I second that.
Shido: While it's true that Kurumi is dangerous and Darren would take her side, but she won't go back on her word.
Darren: (I guess. Many promises broken but it's fine)
I was trying to hide my sadness and loneliness but that didn't go unseen by Lucas and Yuko who sighed.
Shido: Besides, even if Darren and I can't talk to Kurumi on a two on one, I've got little to no chance of ever sealing her spirit powers.
I just stared at the whiteboard, not wanting to argue with anyone. Normally I would be death staring Shido. But now I just feel empty and didn't really care much. This also didn't get past Lucas and Yuko, who almost widened their eyes if I didn't stare at them. We approached the rooftop while I ate my donuts and Kurumi was standing there. Waiting for us.
Shido: Alright, Kurumi. I came as promised with Darren, now tell us your goals.
Kurumi: Greetings, Shido, Darren-kun.
Darren: Cut it out, you saw me just this morning while Yuko was cooking breakfast so cut the act.
Kurumi: Rude much? I wonder how I fell in love with you?
Darren: *death stares her* Just get on with it please.

Kurumi: This morning, I noticed something different in Darren: I can say that you changed a bit, Darren-kun.
Darren: When was that? Breakfast or school?
Kurumi: School of course. You look more matured Darren-kun. Though I suppose it's expected with all the carnage you lived through.
Darren: Wow, just noticed it?
Shido: Anyways, we should stop the lovers quarrel and get to the point now. What's this condition of yours for sealing your Spirit power?
Kurumi: Okay, okay, I'll tell you both. But more so for Shido, since Darren won't seal my powers.
Darren: I see no need to.
-Back at the house-
Lucas POV:
I was walking through the house with Yuko while Rose followed close behind us and the three of us situated ourselves on the couch.
Lucas: Do you sense how sad Darren was? Kurumi just came by without warning today and kinda ignored him.
Yuko: He wasn't able to talk to her or hang with her those past few days anyways. He just though they could hang out. The time that they went on a date was when she went inverse.
Wiz, Mukuro, Velzard and Kocho suddenly walked into the living room with some bags on their hands.
Wiz: It took a while but we got the stuff done.
Velzard: Indeed, where's Darren-chan and Kurumi-chan?
Mukuro: I can't see Mister Darren-Kun anywhere.
Kocho: Ara~ Ara~ are they going on a date?
Yuko: Don't say that in front of him, he's been feeling a bit sad right now.
Lucas: He's kinda stuck in a situation, if he were to turn evil though. I would help him.
Mukuro: W-W-W-What? Evil?
Lucas: He might be broken if something happens. He depended on Kurumi way too much, if he loses her. He might go insane.
Yuko; I decided that even if he does turn evil I will follow him. I can't leave my best friend again.
Darren's lovers all had a shocked look on their faces as they needed time to process all of the information that we gave. I just sighed and hoped that Darren would be alright.
-Back at the rooftop-
Darren POV:
I just stared at Kurumi, knowing that some kind of information would happen. While Shdio stared blankly.
Kurumi: Are you alright? Shido?
Shido: S-Sorry. I spaced out there.
Kurumi: Now then, allow me to explain.
Darren: Yes?
Kurumi: My goal is the same as it was before: You have Spirit powers contained inside your body, so does Darren-kun though. But this it where I want it, I want to devour the spirit energy.
Darren: Kill Shido huh? I don't give a fuck.
Shido: WHAT!
Darren: Just joking.
Kurumi: After all, there are nine Spirits worth of power inside you and two in Darren-kun. Of course, Darren-kun's power I can access only my own though.
Shido: So in other words, just like Darren said. You want to kill me huh?
I heard Kurumi sigh yet I also sighed knowing that I couldn't give more of a fuck in this conversation anymore.
Kurumi: Your goal is to seal my Spirit power, which Darren won't allow. Is it not?
Shido: Yeah, but that's not all. I want you to atone for all you've done and live a happy life.
My heart suddenly clenched and unknowingly, tears suddenly streamed down my eyes. My sadness was only detected by my commanders and Ciel. Who tried to talk to me, yet I blocked them out. I questioned myself, "Why was I mad?" "Was I mad because Shido is saying stuff that I wanted to say to my girlfriend?" "Was I upset at how much I was being ignored by Kurumi?" All of those questions spurred inside my head.
-Anger, jealousy, sadness. Bubbled up inside this boy's mind, it was unkown at who he's mad at. But right now, his mind is just like a shattered glass being taped together. If something does happen to it. It would shatter and make him go completely insane. Only the world would know, what would happen to if he were to go completely insane.-
Shido: That's my-- That's our ultimate goal.
Kurumi just simply laughed, unknowing how hard I was trying to hide my sadness. It seems like she doesn't even care anymore, I wanted to punch the wall to vent out my anger but I can't. I just stood there, eating my donuts.
Kurumi: You're too kind, Shido-san.
Kurumi: But there's a problem. It's impossible for our desires to intersect.
Kurumi: Say, Shido...
Kurumi: Rather than having our dreams stay incomplete, isn't it better if one of them came true? That is, even if one of us loses everything for it.
Kurumi: Don't be afraid.
I balled my fist unconsciously trying to suppress my killing intent, I could feel my blood dripping from my hands, as I knew that I'm not longer in this conversation.
Kurumi: I don't intend to steal your Spirit powers by force.
What I heard next, was almost the final push for me to release my insanity personality.
Kurumi: I'm willing to do things your way.
Darren: (She just said that i'm basically willing to fall in love with you despite being someone's girlfriend already.)
I just hope Kurumi and Shido won't take this too far or else the world would see a monster that they wished that has never existed.
Kurumi: How about whoever makes the other fall for them is our winner?
Darren: Kurumi, I'm heading home now.
Kurumi: Just stay for a little while longer.
Darren: Fine.
Kurumi: If I fall in love with you, Shido. I'll willingly give up my spirit power. However... if I make you fall in love with me first, I win.
Darren: I'm going home.
Kurumi: Please just-
Darren: *death stares her* No. This is wasting my time.
I walked away from the rooftop, knowing that one way or the other. I would go insane soon...
