Narrator: Last time, Ash went on his way to Hoenn to serve as the Pyramid King. During his stay there, chaos unleashed as Team Rocket awakened Groudon and Kyogre. The two started to battle one another in their primal forms. Rayquaza, tried to stop them. But then, as it was winning, Giovanni ordered his grunts to take control of Rayquaza in which they succeeded. While trying to stop team Rocket, Ash battled Giovanni which caused Beldum to evolve into Metang. Then, Giovanni took control of Rayquaza and ordered it to directly attack Ash, causing him to fall of a cliff. Serena saw this at school and hurried her way towards Slateport City in order to get him back. When she managed to get there, Ash was visited in a vision by Arceus, the god pokemon himself.
He summoned Arceus and the team went on to battle the infamous weather trio. Soon though, they found a way of using Arceus's abilities against it and managed to knock it out. Ash, Serena and Lucario managed to recover Arceus's strenght by using Lucario's Aura powers. Then, they helped Arceus to Mega Evolve aswell! In return, Arceus mega evolved Dragonite and even gave Charizard a new mega evolution, the Charizard Z form. Together, the team managed to beat Groudon and Kyogre, aswell as turning Rayquaza back to normal, saving the world at the same time. Now, we join Ash and Serena in the aftermath of the battle as they walk through the streets of Slateport City.
Ash and Serena were holding hands, peacefully walking past many civilians and tourists. Ash was smiling, as did Serena. They had missed to be around eachother and now that everything was over, they were finally able to spend some time with one another.
It had been a few days since the massive battle and Brandon had agreed that Serena could stay at the Battle Pyramid before they returned back to Kalos. They had decided to leave Pikachu and Lucario, aswell as all their other pokemon back at the Pyramid. Ash only kept his Charizard with him for necessities, as did Serena with Sylveon. Their other pokemon wanted to do their own thing for a bit. Most of them were impressed by Beldum's evolution into Metang, especially his sister like figure, Absol.
Ash had returned his Unfezant and Floatzel back to his mom, since he was only able to keep six pokemon with him and with Lucario and Dragonite there, he had eight.
Over the last two days, Steven, Brendan, Zinnia, Alain and Riley had left. Riley and Alain went to another set of ruins near Mossdeep City. They had gone over the information Brandon had about the rumours and it was believed that those ruins held secrets about the ancient city of Pokemopolis.
Steven had a few champion duties to fulfill and Brendan went with him. When Steven had some free time, he trained with Brendan in order to prepare him before he rechallenged the Battle Frontier.
Now that Zinnia had fulfilled her destiny, she didn't know what to do now. So, after talking with Ash and Serena, they suggested her to travel around and maybe challenge the pokemon league as she wasn't really into contests or performing.
Brandon himself was deeply impressed by Ash's relationship with Arceus and wanted to know everything about it. Currently, he was studying all the ancient scripts about Arceus that Joshua managed to find.
Both Ash and Serena continued walking and as they did, they closed in on a small piece of nature in the middle of Slateport City. It was a park. They entered it and continued to stroll down the path. Ever since everything happened, Serena had been a bit overprotective towards Ash and felt anxious when he left her for longer than thirty minutes. She would start sweating and calling him out, scared that something might have happened.
As for the nights, Serena wanted to sleep in Ash's room. There wasn't much space and Brandon rejected the idea at first but seeing her condition, he agreed with the two of them it probably was the best solution.
As they walked around, they couldn't help but admire the many things the park had to offer. The flowers, the trees aswell as the pokemon that lived in there, they couldn't help but smile as they saw the beauty that nature had to offer.
They closed in on a central point of the park where a large fountain was located. A few kids were playing around. Some were running after a Shroomish they were playing with while others were being chased by a Poochyena. To Ash and Serena, it looked like it was their family pokemon.
Seeing those children play brought nothing but a smile on their faces. They looked around and saw multiple couples of people watching then. They assumed that those people were the parents of the kids, aswell as young couples who were just like them, in love with one another and just enjoying a peaceful day in the park.
Ash noticed a free park bench and walked over to it where he and Serena sat down. Both sat very close to one another. Ash had his arm wrapped around her shoulder while Serena had her head on his shoulder with her eyes closed.
Both enjoyed the peaceful environment and the relaxed feeling that it gave them. After everything that happened, who could blame them? They weren't really in a talkative mood. The silence they shared wasn't an awkward one, but more a relaxing and calm one. None of the two felt weird about it. They just enjoyed eachothers company.
"When we get back to Kalos, what do you want to do first?" Ash asked all of a sudden.
"I don't really know." Serena replied. She let out a sigh and opened her eyes before moving up in order to look him into the eyes. "I've heard from Shauna that there will be another showcase soon so I guess that I'll train for that and sign up when it's time."
Ash smiled at hearing her reply. It was good that she wanted to continue with the normal stuff. Things had been hectic so changing things up to back how it was, was a good way to put it past her.
"What about you?" Serena asked then.
"Hmm... probably train for the Kalos League, aswell as finishing school. Since we're here, we did miss a lot of stuff." Ash said.
"Yeah. But don't worry though. Professor Sycamore said that we would be able to catch up in no time thanks to the special program he has created for us." Serena said, keeping up her positive attitude.
"Did he really do that for us? That's amazing!" Ash said with a big smile on his face and stars in his eyes. Serena giggled. It was the usual goofy reply he'd come up with that she loved so much.
"So about your performance. Do you have something in mind already for your routine?" Ash asked, showing some interest. Serena thought it was odd. Sure, she knew that he cared for her but he never used to put so much interest in her performances as he did now. "What's up with all the interest?" She asked.
"Nothing really. I just want to help you out." Ash shrugged. Truth to be told, he had to place all the events from the past days and the best way to do it was putting his attention to the things he loved the most. And one of those things was helping Serena and spend as much time with her as he could.
Serena decided to accept his answer for now and thought about her new performance routine. She placed her finger on her lower lip as she had her mouth slightly opened. "To be honest with you, I wanted to use Sylveon and maybe use a new move. But I don't really know what yet."
She took out Sylveon's pokeball and looked at it. "Why don't you let Sylveon out? She might like it out here." Ash suggested. Serena smiled at him and nodded. "That's a good idea! Sylveon, come on out!" Serena said, throwing the pokeball up.
Sylveon emerged and landed on the ground infront of them. "Sylveon---" Sylveon exclaimed, looming curiously at Ash and Serena.
"Hey Sylveon! We thought it was a good idea to let you out so you can enjoy this aswell." Serena said.
"Veon--" Sylveon replied before laying down in the grass, closing her eyes as she relaxed herself.
Serena closed her eyes again and laid the back of her head on Ash's lap, putting her feet on the far end of the bench. She opened her eyes again and looked at the sky. Ash gently caressed her hair, slowly stroking his hand through it. Both of them enjoyed it, being like this, together.
Serena sighed. "I wonder if my performance will be good enough, even if we manage to learn a new move..."
"Don't worry about it." Ash smiled at her, placing his free hand on her hands which she had on her stomach. Serena looked at him curiously. "Why? If I don't manage to win, I might not be able to compete in the Master Class." She retaliated.
Ash chuckled. "I'm not worried one bit. Its you were talking about. You always come up with something beautiful, something that no one could ever imagine. There's no doubt in my mind that you will win the next showcase! Even if you don't manage to come up with a new move."
Serena looked into Ash's eyes. They were shining with confidence in her. She could only smile. His determination always managed to get the better of her, no matter what the situation was. He was always there for her to help, to be with her and to protect her if needed. That's why she loved and admired him so much.
"Did someone say something about learning a new move?"
Both Ash and Serena turned their heads towards where the voice came from. Serena even sat up straight to see it better. An old man with long grey hair, a grey beard and a grey moustache stood infront of them. If they had to guess, he was around his mid sixties, maybe even begin zeventies.
"Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. My name is Ralph. But most people know me as Vl---"
"Vladimir the attacker!" Ash said, much to Serena and Ralph's surprise.
"Ash do you know this man?" Serena asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked at him curiously.
"As a matter of fact I do." Ash said, smilingly before he looked over at Ralph. "You helped me teach my Swellow how to use Aerial Ace!"
Ralph, or Vladimir The attacker scratched his beard, memorising the events until he suddenly popped his finger up. "Ah yes! Ash, right?"
"That's right! It's been a while, hasn't it?" Ash grinned at the old man. "It sure has. Now tell me, how is your Swellow doing?" Ralph asked.
"It's doing great! It's training hard at home, together with my Pidgeot, Noctowl, Staraptor, Unfezant, Noivern and Rowlett. Or atleast when Rowlett isn't asleep." Ash chuckled, scratching his chin, thinking about the little grass type. It had a weird personality if Ash had to say so himself but that didn't change the fact that it was an amazing battler and that Ash cared for it more than anything in the world.
"Hmm... that sounds like some impressive pokemon you have." Ralph said before he turned to Serena. "What might your name be?" He asked nicely.
"My name is Serena!" Serena greeted before taking Ash's arm. "I'm his girlfriend and I'm a pokemon performer. Maybe you know me by some of them or the contests I've been competing in during my stay in Hoenn. I reached the semi finals in the Grand Festival." Serena introduced herself with her signature, fascinating smile.
"It's nice to meet you Serena." Ralph said. "Now, I introduced myself, let me explain my business here." Ralph looked at Sylveon and then an idea crossed his mind. "How would you like it if I helped you teach your Sylveon the move Magical Leaf?" He asked.
"Huh?" Serena said in confusion. But as the words started to hit her mind, her eyes widened and she smiled widely as she said, "You can do that!?"
"Well ofcourse! I'm Vladimir the Attacker and I can teach any pokemon, any move!" He stated proudly. "It's true, he can!" Ash nodded with the same amount of pride while confirming his work.
"It would be amazing if you can help us out! That would be amazing to use in our next performance!" Serena squealed in excitement.
"Very well. Why don't you two follow me to my workplace? Then, I can teach you all about the basics of Magical Leaf." Ralph spoke as he lead them the way.
They walked through the streets of Slateport City for around twenty to thirty minutes before they reached a small, old building that was build in an Japanese style. The building gave Ash the same vibes as the Ecruteak Gym did.
"Welcome to my workplace which also functions as my home. Follow me please." Ralph said as he opened the door and lead the way through the building.
Both Ash and Serena were amazed to see the many objects and equipment that was present inside. "All that stuff you have stored here. Do you use that to practice new moves?" Ash asked.
"As a matter of fact, yes I do. Everything you see here has its own purpose. You see those round boards over there? Those are the same that we used to teach your Swellow Aerial Ace." Ralph explained as he showed them one of the boards.
"That's right, I remember!" Ash said excitedly. Then, Ralph opened a door which lead to a rather large courtyard. "Now, this is where we will work on your Sylveon's Magical Leaf." He said, stepping aside so that Ash and Serena could take a look for themselves.
Ash and Serena looked around and were surprised to see how much space there was. There were multiple trainings courses which could be used to learn a wide variety of moves.
"Awesome..." Both Ash and Serena mumbled. Ralph nodded, pleased that they liked his training area. Then, he turned towards the two. "Now, how about we teach your Sylveon how to use Magical Leaf?"
"Right!" Serena said as she got snapped out of her train of thoughts. She looked at Sylveon who stood by her side. "Are you ready Sylveon?
"Sylveon..." Sylveon replied, smiling determinedly.
Ralph took out a pokeball and aimed it infront of him. "Come out Leafeon." He said simply. The verdant pokemon emerged infront of Ralph and let out a sweet cry.
"A Leafeon!" Serena exclaimed excitedly as she grabbed her Rotom phone and scanned it.
"Leafeon, the Verdant Pokémon. Leafeon is always surrounded by fresh clean air because it uses photosynthesis, just like a plant."
"That sure is a cool pokemon!" Serena remarked up on putting her Rotom phone away again. She was impressed by its beauty and appearance, aswell as graceful as it was. Even Sylveon was impressed.
Ralph and Leafeon took a step forward. "Look closely as I will explain everything to you and show you how it's done.
"First, Leafeon concentrates its energy in its body. Then, it pulls its head back and brings it forward while its ears lift up. It releases glowing light green leaves from its ears at the target. That's how Magical Leaf works." Ralph explained while looking at Leafeon. "Now Leafeon, let's use Magical Leaf!" He exclaimed. Leafeon moved as Ralph explained. Ash, Serena and Sylveon were carefully studying the movements of Leafeon. It moved its head back before pushing it forward again. It's ears went up, releasing light green, sharp leaves at a target that was in the distance.
Ash, Serena and Sylveon were amazed that every leave was dead centre in the target.
"Perfect Leafeon!" Ralph praised his partner who let out a low chirp in happiness. Then, he looked at Serena and Sylveon. "How about you two giving it a try?" He suggested.
"Uhh--- okay!" Serena replied a but hesitant, taking a step forward. Ash placed his hand in her shoulder, causing her to turn her head towards him while looking quizzically at him. "You've got this! Don't worry about anything." He spoke to her with confidence.
"Right!" Serena replied, giving him a determined nod back. She looked at Sylveon who shared the same look of determination. "Are you ready Sylveon?" She asked. "Sylveon!" Sylveon cried out determinedly.
"OK Sylveon, let's do this!" Serena exclaimed as she took stance while Sylveon did the same. "Now, close your eyes and concentrate all your energy inside your body." Serena said, focusing her mind on Sylveon.
Sylveon did as was told. She closed her eyes and focused everything she had inside her body. A light green glow appeared around her body.
"Its working!" Serena smiled excitedly. "Now Sylveon! Use Magical Leaf!"
"Syl---!" Sylveon exclaimed as she pulled her head backwards. "VEON!" She finished as she threw her head forward. Her ears perked up, while her feelers started to spin, creating a small gust of energy. Then, all of a sudden, one single leaf appeared but fell on the ground as soon as they saw it.
Serena walked upto the leaf, kneeled down and picked it up. She looked at Sylveon, a look pride and happiness in her eyes. "You did it Sylveon!" She exclaimed happily.
Ash however looked at Ralph, who slowly shook his head. Then, he decided to speak up. "It is a start but no where near the real thing." He stated, much to Serena's confusion. "Huh? What do you mean? Sylveon did use Magical Leaf right?"
"Hmm yes, it appears that it looked like it but it wasn't." Ralph stated before he turned his face to the targets. "Let me demonstrate it once more." He spoke.
"Leafeon, use Magical Leaf!" He instructed. Leafeon closed its eyes, absorbing the energy from within as a green glow surrounded the pokemon. This green glow looked more powerful than the one that surrounded Sylveon.
"Look at Leafeon. It absorbs the energy, the air and everything from the nature around it. In order to make it successful, Sylveon needs to feel the wind flow, needs to hear the grass wistle around it as the wind breezes through it. It needs to learn to use the power that nature has to offer." Ralph explained.
Serena and Sylveon closely listened to Ralph as they watched Leafeon absorb the energy before using Magical Leaf again.
Serena looked at Sylveon. "Let's try it again!" She stated. Sylveon chirped determinedly, agreeing with Serena. Serena took a deep breath before releasing the air again, opening her eyes in complete focus. "Sylveon, breath in and take in your surroundings." She commanded.
Sylveon closed her eyes, using her feelers and ears to concentrate on her hearing as she focused on the energy that was building up inside her. She felt the wind flow through her feelers which vibrated slightly.
"Now Sylveon! Let's try it again, use Magical Leaf!" Serena shouted, more focused than ever. Sylveon pulled her head back before pushing it forward once again. Her feelers vibrated at an higher pace as the energy inside her body was moved into the feelers, just like how she used to do it with Moonblast.
The green glow that once surrounded her body was now coursing through her feelers, shining brighter than ever. With one mighty cry, Sylveon summoned multiple leafs. Ash, Serena and even Ralph gasped at the sight of Sylveon firing the leafs towards the target.
The leafs went straight for the target. It was about to hit when suddenly, they dispersed in all directions.
"That was awesome Serena!" Ash praised her excitedly, standing up from the small bench he was sitting on. Serena smiled at him before letting out a sigh. "Wel... we did it almost..." She muttered.
"Actually the two of you did really well." Ralph said, surprising Serena. "I have never had someone who managed to pull a move off on the second try. Not even Ash could." He stated.
Serena looked at him with a stunned expression. Even though, she managed to pull the move off, it wasn't even on point.
"To take more control of the move and to hit the target will take time. You will be able to learn that in no time. Just remember everything you two have done right now." Ralph said, much to Serena and Sylveon's relief. They knew they had still a long way to go but hearing the praise coming from Ralph was a huge confidence boost.
"Let's try it once more Sylveon!" Serena smiled, more determined than ever.
Ash took out Charizards pokeball and threw it up into the air, releasing the powerful fire lizard. Charizard snarled as it landed with a thud beside him. "Serena, if you don't mind, I want to go over a few things with Charizard while practicing some moves." Ash said to her.
Immediately anxiety kicked in. Serena still wasn't the same after everything had happened and was nervous when Ash wasn't around. "You will stay here right?" She asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, well be in your eyesight. You have nothing to worry about." Ash grinned at her like he usually did. Serena showed him a small smile before she turned her attention back to Sylveon. Sylveon tried to use Magical Leaf again but the result was the same. They managed to pull off the move but there was no accuracy.
Ash looked at Charizard and placed his hand on the large pokemon's stomach. "Hey buddy. I thought you'd like some fresh air aswell." Ash smiled at one of his most loyal partners.
"Grrrr!" Charizard roared happily, nodding to Ash. Seeing the happiness in Charizard's eyes made Ash smile even more. Then, his eyes were fixated on the keystone around its neck. "Charzard, shall we give mega evolution another try?" He asked, wondering if what Arceus said was true and that it would now mega Evolve in Mega Charizard Z.
Ash tapped his keystone. The lights that emitted from his necklace merged with the ones coming from Charizard's mega stone. Soon, the lights dissapeared and much to Ash's excitement, Mega Charizard Z stood infront of him, shining in pride and power. It let out a loud roar before it spew a large streak of green flames into the air.
This sudden movement caused Ralph to turn around in shock as he saw a variant of Charizard that he had never seen before. "Amazing! What variant is this!?" He yelled as he inspected Charizard.
"It is Mega Charizard Z. It has the enhanced speed and manoeuvrability from Mega Charizard Y while it has the power of Mega Charizard X. So basically. Its a merged version of the two with enhanced power and abilities, making it the strongest of them all." Ash explained proudly. Now, Serena also came walking over, looking at Charizard while grabbing Ash's hand.
Ash looked at her and frowned. "I didn't mean to interrupt your training." Ash apologised, feeling sorry that he caused them and Ralph become distracted.
Serena shook her head slightly and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "Don't worry about it. I know you wouldn't do something like that on purpose. Besides, we've got the whole day to train!" She said.
"I guess you're right." Ash chuckled before he looked at Charizard, beaming of happiness.
They trained for the rest of the day. Once the sky turned orange, Sweat was dropping from Serena's and Sylveon's heads. They had been working hard on Magical Leaf and as they looked at the target, there were a few leafs sticking out of it but a lot more to the sides, around it, indicating that they still weren't there yet.
"Let's call it a day now." Ash suggested. He had Charizard take some relaxation while he watched and supported her now for a few hours already.
Serena let out a sigh. "Yeah, you're right." She spoke. Truth was that she was frustrated by not being able to make the move work but she knew, in time, they would make it work and then give the best performance they could give.
She walked over to the bench Ash was sitting on. She grabbed her towel and put it around her neck before taking the water bottle Ash held up for her.
"I wish we could make it work already." Serena said before taking a swig of the bottle of water.
"Don't worry, it will happen sooner or later." Ash spoke quite calm. He knew the struggle of learning new moves. Things like that were difficult and would take time.
"I know that but I want to be able to use it during my next showcase!" Serena said. She let out a tired sigh.
"I must agree with Ash." Ralph said. Both turned towards him as he walked over. "A new move isn't learned in one day. Things like that is a process that takes time. And once you master it, it'll pay off." He explained himself.
Serena smiled at hearing his words of wisdom. "Thank you Ralph, for letting me use this terrain and all the help you have given me. I would still be on that bench, thinking about what to do if it wasn't for you."
"Don't think much of it. I'm Ralph, also known as Vladimir the attacker afterall!" He laughed loudly. Both Ash and Serena laughed aswell before they said their goodbyes.
They walked back to the pyramid where they were greeted by Brandon who was talking with Joshua. Once he noticed them walking in, he turned to them. "Ash, Serena, welcome back. Did you enjoy your day?" He asked.
"Ofcourse! It was amazing!" Serena smiled warmly. "Sylveon and I even started working in a new move!" Serena told Brandon, rocking back and forth on her feet in excitement.
"Excellent!" Brandon replied with a small smile. Ash smiled aswell as he gently held onto Serena's hand. Brandon was always seen as a stern person but now Serena got to know him a little better and it proved that Brandon was actually a really nice man but he also could be stern when he needed to.
"How about we have a battle Serena?" He suggested all of a sudden. "What!?" Serena replied in shock. Both Ash and Joshua were stunned aswell. Brandon never really challenged someone.
"Yes. Just a simple one on one. Then you can also show me what you've been working on." He explained himself.
Serena looked at Ash for a some confidence and reassurance. Ash gave her a determined smile while he nodded. "I think it's a great idea. Brandon is one of the strongest trainers this world has to offer and battling with him could be really useful. Maybe you can even master Magical Leaf that way." Ash said.
A proud smile of joy came onto Serena's face. "Sure! Let's do it then!" Serena squeaked excitedly, looking over at Sylveon who shared the same amount of excitement and determination.

"This will be an unofficial, one on one battle between Pyramid King Brandon and Serena. Once one of either side's pokemon is unable to battle, the other will be determined as victor! There will be no time limit. Now, let the battle begin!" Joshua announced.
"Ninjask, I need your assistance!" Brandon exclaimed, throwing a pokeball forward, releasing the Ninja pokemon.
"Nin--!" The bug and flying type screeched as it appeared, flying in the air as it watched Serena choose her pokemon.
"Okay Sylveon! Let's do this!" Serena shouted as Sylveon walked onto the battlefield. "Sylveon---!" She exclaimed, taking a battle stance.
"Sylveon, let's start things off with Fairy Wind!" Serena commanded, ready to take the first move.
Sylveon let out a loud chirp before it pulled its feelers together. The air around them started glowing light blue. Then, Sylveon spread her feelers wide open, sending a strong gust of wind, heading straight for Ninjask.
Brandon waited patiently, waiting for the fairy type move to close in. Then, as it was close enought, Brandon shouted, "Now!"
With a swift movement, Ninjask dissapeared before reappearing right infront of Sylveon, causing both of them to gasp.
"Now, Fury Cutter!"
Ninjask's forearms started to glow crimson red. Sylveon had no where to go as it was no match with Ninjask's speed as it slashed her with them. While Ninjask slashed, the crimson red glow grew longer and the attack became stronger. Serena stood there, as Sylveon took hit after hit. She knew that Sylveon resisted the move but still, it dealt a fair amount of damage as it was adding up.
"Think Serena, think!" Serena closed her eyes as she muttered the words to no one in particular. Then, it hit her. "Sylveon! I know we haven't mastered it yet but we need to try Magical Leaf!" She commanded. She knew, the move wouldn't deal much damage bit it was a never missing move, which meant that they could use it to distract Ninjask.
Sylveon focused its energy in its body, trying to subdue the pain of the continues slaughter that Ninjask kept delivering. Her ears perked up as her feelers vibrated, releasing a whirlwind of glowing leafs.
The leafs however split in every direction, hitting Ninjask aswell.
"Alright!" Serena celebrated. It wasn't as intended but it worked out either way. "Now let's keep up the pressure! Moonblast!" Serena instructed.
Sylveon closed her eyes and spread its feelers wide open. An image of the moon appeared behind her as she focused all her energy. A pink orb formed in front of her mouth as she readied it to fire. Then, she let out a high pitched cry before releasing it.
"Ninjask! Dig to dodge!" Brandon commanded quickly. Just as commanded, Ninjask managed to borrow itself under ground, just in time to dodge the incoming Moonblast.
Serena gritted her teeth in frustration but smirked slyly after. "Bad move! I've watched Ash battle way to many times to not have something to counter that." She murmured, only for herself to be heard.
"Sylveon! Put your feelers into the ground. Try to feel the vibrations through the ground and once it shows itself, finish this with Mystical Fire!" Serena commanded as a grin was all over her face.
Sylveon did as Serena asked her to do and put her feelers into the ground. She closed her eyes in order to concentrate as much as she could. Brandon, aswell as Ash and Joshua waited, impressed by the tactics and unpredictability Serena displayed infront of them.
Then, all of a sudden, Sylveon's eyes snapped open. She jumped up as the ground beneath her suddenly started to crumble and Ninjask appeared, ready to strike.
Sylveon however was ready. She used her momentum in the air to aim straight for Ninjask as she released a streak of flames, surrounded by red, orange circles towards the unsuspecting Ninjask.
"Jask---!" It screeched in pain as it got savoured by the hot flames. Brandon looked on, his face showing no emotion.
The flames died down as Ninjask was revealed by it. Its body was burned to a crisp, however, it managed to fly up again. Both Serena and Sylveon looked surprised as they didn't expect it to go back up, being burned like that.
"Ninjask, let's finish this, use Steel Wing!" Brandon ordered, wanting to finish the battle himself. Ninjask's wings started to glow a metallic silver as it launched towards Sylveon. However, one thing Serena noticed was that it was way slower than normal. If she had to guess, that was due to the damage it had taken earlier.
"Sylveon! Use Magical Leaf!" She tried in a desperate attempt to .ake the move work. "We can do this!" She shouted, full of determination.
"Syl---VEON!" Sylveon cried out loud as it engulfed itself in a green glow before vibrating her feelers wildly. Then, a gust of green glowing leafs appeared before it all flew towards Ninjask.
Ninjask moved aside, dodging the move easily. Or so it thought as the leafs started changing direction and followed it. Ninjask pushed on with everything it had, going straight for Sylveon.
*BOOM*
"Sylveon!", "Ninjask!" Both Brandon and Serena called out as large cloud of smoke appeared as Ninjask rammed into Sylveon before itself got hit by Magical Leaf.
Both trainers looked on as the cloud slowly started to fade away, revealing the outcome of the battle.
"Both Sylveon and Ninjask are unable to battle. This means that the result of this battle is a draw!" Joshua stated, confirming the result of the battle.
Everyone was surprised by the outcome of the battle, especially Ash. He ran over to Serena who just returned her fainted partner and thanked her for her efforts.
"You did it!" Ash exclaimed, extremely happy as he wrapped his arms around Serena's middle, pulled her into the air before spinning around. "You managed to use Magical Leaf perfectly and you drew against Brandon!" Ash exclaimed, unable to contain how proud he was.
Serena giggled at Ash's behavior before he put her down again. She smiled at him "Thanks Ash!" She said before leaning in for a loving, gentle kiss.
As they broke the kiss, Brandon walked up to them. "You should be proud of yourself. That was a great battle." He softly smiled.
Serena looked at Brandon. A sparkle was visible in her eyes. "Thanks Brandon! That really means a lot!" Serena said, full of gratitude.
Brandon nodded before turning back around. He stopped in his tracks though as he turned his head slightly sideways and said, "I suggest you two to get some sleep. Tomorrow, we'll be landing back in Kalos."
Narrator: And so, another day ends as Ash and Serena met Ralph, also known as Vladimir the attacker. Not only did he teach her how to use Magical Leaf, she also managed to master it in a battle in which she drew against Brandon. What will happen next to our heroes? Find out as the journey continues!

Another chapter done guys! This is the first one after the movie chapter and I hope you all enjoyed it. I know, this isn't the normal day for uploading chapters but i feel like getting back in the rythim of things. This means that the next chapter will be uploaded upcoming Tuesday and we'll go back to two chapters a week if I can keep this up.
There is however an idea that came to mind in which I give one of you an opportunity to feature yourself in this book.
