A Girl's POV

I had been on this bus for about half an hour. Being one of the first people that was picked up, I had seen the bus gradually fill up with more and more people. I didn't pay attention to that, however.

I simply drew.

My sketch pad laid flat on my lap and my hands moved freely against it. My mind and my heart were at peace. That peace was interrupted, however.

A boy stood before me, dressed in the same uniform as me. He was on the taller side of average and he looked pretty fit although wearing a uniform. He was really pretty once you examined his face, sporting a long curly taper cut and glasses.

I couldn't stop staring at him.

Boy: "Sorry but is this seat taken?"

He asked me with his hand rubbing behind his head, nervously giggling.

Me: "No it's not."

I turned back to my sketch pad frantically and continued drawing.

He continued, however.

Boy: "Well, do you mind if I sit here?"

I looked back at him for a split second.

Me: "It's fine."

He swiftly grabbed the seat next to me, breathing heavily as if he had sprinted to get here. I looked over at him in bewilderment.

Boy: "Sorry, I had to sprint to get here, I didn't know the bus stop was that far."

He repeatedly panted loudly until he was finally able to catch his breath. I returned to drawing in peace until once again it was interrupted.

Boy: "I'm Sorry! Everyone!"

This guy was a total wreck. It seemed that I wasn't the only one to assume that though. I could hear the murmuring of everyone on the bus.

Random Boy 1: "Geez, what's wrong with that guy?"

Random Boy 2: "You think he's off the meds right now?"

Random Girl 1: " Eww imagine him in your class."

Random Girl 2: "I wouldn't mind, he's pretty cute."

The boy beside me was garnering all of the attention and he seemed to have finally noticed. He turned towards me, pointing toward his face. I could have seen the sweat pouring from his eyebrows.

Boy: "It's the glasses isn't it?"

Me: "Hu-Huh?"

He took them off and gave them to me to inspect.

Boy: "It's the glasses right? That's why everyone's talking about me? I knew these looked weird."

I held them and felt the lenses. They were not prescription but had felt surprisingly real. I gave them back to him and continued to draw.

Me: "It's not your glasses, it's you. What'd you expect when you came on the bus panting and making a scene."

I couldn't help but sigh, I could feel the headache that this guy was going to be.

He put the glasses back on and looked at me with a massive smile.

Boy: "So it's not the glasses, noted. Thanks!"

I rolled my eyes, thinking how hopeless can someone be.

Ten minutes had passed since then, and we had finally arrived at the Tokyo Advanced Nurturing High School. We all exited, one by one. The boy next to me, however, didn't get up. He sat still, his head was buried in a book.

Me: "Hey, it's our turn to leave."

I watched him close the book and slip it into his backpack. I happened to catch a glimpse of what exactly he was reading causing me to shriek in terror. I ignored him, however. I didn't want to get involved with such a weird guy.

We exited the bus, one behind the other, and entered the auditorium for the entrance ceremony.  We sat together due to the order we had left the bus.

The entrance ceremony lasted for an hour, there were welcome speeches for the first years, given by the staff, faculty, and student council. After that, we were instructed to go to homeroom for introductions.

The boy sitting beside me had pulled out the book that he was reading on the book again. This time I had decided that this was enough.

Me: "You're gonna get even more weird rumors spread about you if you keep reading that you know."

He probably wasn't new to weird rumors based on his behavior so far.

He looked up at me and tilted his head.

Boy: "Why would that happen?"

He said that while scratching his face and nervously giggling.

I couldn't help but palm my forehead. How can someone be so oblivious?

Girl: "You're reading a book titled 'How to make friends for dummies."

Boy: "Haha oh you saw that huh? Sorry about that."

He slipped the book back into his bag and stood up, awkwardly walking outside of the auditorium to the bulletin board right beside it. There held the names of each student in each class. The boy had approached the board and scanned for his name. He ran his finger along until it eventually stopped.

The name his finger stopped on was Akira Kawakami.

He put his hand above his head and clenched it triumphantly. He quietly cheered for himself.

Akira: " Class A for me, haha, A for Akira!"

How can he not be embarrassed?

I decided to stand behind him, indicating that I'm going to use it next. However, his finger continued again, he scanned once more and his finger stopped on the name of Class D's Kiyotaka Ayanokoji.

He placed his hand on his chin and started murmuring to himself. I reached out my arm to tap his shoulder but before I can do that, we were interrupted by a girl with lilac hair and a walking cane. She approached the boy in front of me and spoke to him gently.

Girl: "Hi, if you don't mind, Can you search for my name while you're there. It's Arisu Sakayanagi."

Upon noticing her presence, he backed away until his back was against the board. His face was a bright red.

Akira: "Ahh Ye-yeah sure."

He swiftly turned around and scanned for her name.

Akira: "Ye-yeah you're here, Class A."

Sakayanagi: "Are you also in Class A?"

He nodded affirmatively to her, still blushing while avoiding her gaze. He seemed so easy.

She gave a great smile and turned towards me.

Sakayanagi: "Excuse me, are you in Class A as well?"

I meet her sharp gaze causing me to hesitate when answering.

Me: "I don't know yet, I've been waiting for this idiot to move from the board."

She giggled a bit.

Sakayanagi: "Well what's your name, we can search for it while we're here."

I didn't know if wanted that boy to know my name, but I guess at that moment I didn't have a choice.

Me: "Masumi Kamuro."

She turned toward the board and slowly approached it, closing the distance between her and Kawakami. Using her cane as support, she extended her body and face to see the board more clearly. However, she was noticeably close to Kawakami's face, to people at a distance, it almost looked like she was about to kiss him.

His face became even redder, almost to the point where he would possibly burst.

Sakayanagi: "Wow so you're Class A as well, seems as though everyone from our bus was one class."

Akira's face dropped.

Akira: "So you're telling me that everyone on the bus was my classmates. Oh no, they're all gonna see me as weird."

Sakayanagi chuckled at him however I can only shake my head at him. I couldn't believe he was just noticing that.

Sakayanagi: "Well that's only a possibility."

Akira: "Oh God."

Sakayanagi: "Well you shouldn't worry about it until you see our classmates, how about we go to class now? It starts in 10 minutes."

I agreed with her and we walked together. Akira followed with his head hung low, drowning in defeat.

Sakayanagi began to chuckle out of nowhere, slowly walking with her three legs. I heard her whisper under her breath.

Sakayanagi: "A Boy named Akira Kawakami and A Girl named Masumi Kamuro, this class is going to be interesting."
