Previous Story Twin Series 4 - Hum Bewafa Hargiz Na The (Posted On 9 – Jun - 2022)
This is just a crazy idea I got. This is a light hearted read. There isn't much story. just my another attempt at (long) drabble.
A quick question.
I have a story idea for Krish from Twin Series 4 - Hum Bewafa Hargiz Na The. If I EVER got around to writing that story, do you guys prefer that I write a story on "Krish" or I rename the characters to Abhishek and Pragya like I did in my previous twin stories?
Abhishek couldn't take his eyes off of her. this was not the first time he was seeing her. but this was the first time, she had taken his breath away. she was his father's friend's daughter and now, they were going to be related by marriage, his so-called elder brother was marrying her elder sister.
She had been away at college and had just got back only recently but strangely they hadn't run into each other till today, the wedding day.
They grew up pretty much together but he had always considered her the kid because she was the youngest and he and his brother had their set of friends with whom he hung out with. He had pretty much ignored her with the kid status because she was younger to him by all of 4 years and now, he regretted it terribly. God, she is a true beauty.
Hearing his family call him, he goes to the mandap and sees that the marriage was commencing. His brother turns to look at him and he smiles at him and Suresh smiles back, then his gaze turning back to his almost wife. Abhishek could understand that, his own gaze going to her, she was standing with her family near the mandap, as she spoke to her friend.
He was watching her, when she looks at him, and seeing him, her eyes widen in surprise and she waves at him. he waves back. she turns to whisper something to her friend, but he just continued to look at her, dreaming of his life with her.

Abhishek was looking for her when, "Hi Abhishek!"
Surprised, Abhishek turns back and sees her smiling at him. "Hey!!!" Abhishek says smiling excitedly.
"Long time!"
"Loooong looong time!" Abhishek replies. "How have you been?"
"Good... and you? you know, I was asking jeeju about you the other day."
"Really?" Abhishek asks her with a sexy smile.
"So, what's happening at your end?"
"Same old... you tell me?"
"Are you seeing someone?" she asks him with an excited whisper.
"No... why?" Abhishek asks her with a flirty smile.
"Awesome!" she says excitedly.
"I know."
"I know someone who is perfect for you!"
"What?" Abhishek asks, his smile dropping.
"Yeah, my best friend... there she is." She points at a girl and he doesn't bother to look, his gaze on her.
"I think she is perfect for you. You guys are so alike. I met her in college and ever since then I've been telling her that you guys are perfect for each other."
"Hmmm."
"Do you want to go on a date with her tomorrow?" she asks excitedly.
"No." Abhishek says.
"Why?" she asks pouting sadly.
"Can you tell your best friend something for me?"
"Sure." She replies smiling excitedly.
Abhishek leans down and whispers to her. "Tell her, that I am crushing on her best friend and I want to go on a date with her best friend."
"What?" she asks in a shocked whisper.
"Ask her to convince her best friend and fix a date and place, and to let me know." Abhishek tells her and walks off.

Abhishek was standing on the upper level as he watched the guests mingling around.
"Hots for my best friend... huh?"
Curious he turns and sees a girl grinning at him with raised eye brows.
"Erm... I..." Abhishek stammers.
"Relax! She is going through her Cher Horowitz phase."
"What?" he asks feeling completely lost.
"Clueless movie. She got one of our friend with another friend of hers. And she thinks she is some matchmaking goddess. Her next project is us. I told her not to ask you. she has been pestering me for ages now, just to get her off my back I said I would go on a date with you. she didn't expect you to spin this on her."
Abhishek smiles feeling relieved. "How is she doing?"
"Shocked as heck." Her friend laughs.
Abhishek chuckles.
"Were you serious? Or just getting her off your back?"
"I am serious! She is my Swapan Sundari!"
"Should I be offended?" her friend asks frowning.
"You're Param Sundari."
"So smooth." She says with a grin.
He chuckles.
"Oh my! Who is that hottie?" she asks in obvious interest.
Abhishek follows her gaze. "That's Karan. He is my brother's friend. They play cricket together."
"Is he your friend?" she asks still drooling after him.
Seeing her obvious interest, he says with a sexy drawl. "I can be his friend."
"What do you mean?" she asks, finally taking her gaze off Karan.
"You help me, I'll talk to him about going on a date with you."
"We've a deal." She says extending her hand.
Abhishek takes her hand in his. "By the way, I'm Abhishek Prem Mehra."
"Very nice to meet you, Abhishek. I'm Pragya Arora."
"Nice to meet you, Pragya."

"Pragya!" Abhishek pulls her aside.
"What?" Pragya turns to Abhishek.
"It's set. Karan is interested. You are on for tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" Pragya asks shocked. "I need to get new dress. Have to go to the parlor. Oh my God!"
"You're damn hot! Why bother with all that?" Abhishek asks her confused.
"Oh really?" Pragya asks with an over exaggerated shy smile.
"Any doubts, param sundari?" Abhishek asks her with a sexy smile.
Pragya laughs.
"So, on for tomorrow?"
"Yes!!" Pragya says smiling excitedly.
"What about Preeta?" Abhishek asks her.
"She is a tough cookie." Pragya tells him as she looked around for Preeta.
Abhishek nods with a frown.
"So, I'll tell her, that I spoke to you and you agreed to go on a date with me, you were just joking about wanting to go on a date with her."
"Why?" Abhishek asks confused.
"She still thinks that you are a little lost and doesn't know what you need in life." Pragya says rolling her eyes.
Abhishek frowns offended. "Really?"
"Says the same about me." double eye roll. "So, I'll tell her to come with me for the date with you for moral support. We reach club, then I will tell her at the last minute."
"What if she walks off?" Abhishek asks her shocked.
"Do your thing. Charm her, man! You're a hottie. I'm sure she just needs a little bit nudging to get her off her Mata Cher bhoot."
"Hmmm. So double date?"
"Yeah."
"We're on. By the way, are we going clubbing?"

"All the best." Preeta excitedly whispers to Pragya as they walked into the club.
"All the best to you too." Pragya excitedly whispers to her.
"Huh? Why?" Preeta asks confused.
"Because babes, that's my date." Pragya says excitedly pointing at Karan.
"What?" Preeta looks at Karan in shock.
"Isn't he hot?" Pragya asks dreamily drooling as she waved at Karan.
"Who is he?" Preeta asks confused. "And where is Abhishek?"
"He is your jeeju's friend. He plays cricket." Pragya excitedly tells her.
"Huh?"
"And your date is here!" Pragya says noticing Abhishek walk in.
"My date?" Preeta asks in a shocked whisper.
"Hey Preeta!" Abhishek says with a sexy smile.
Preeta turns around in shock, her mouth drops open.
"Abhishek?" Preeta whispers in shock then she turns to gape at Pragya.
"Your date."
"My date?" Preeta whispers in shock.
"Isn't she cute?" Abhishek asks Pragya.
"The cutest!" Pragya replies smiling happily. "Have fun." Pragya winks at Abhishek and turning around she walks off to Karan.
Preeta watches Pragya walk off. "Pragya... come back here." Preeta whispers to her angrily.
"She has gone to the guy she likes." Abhishek whispers to her. "And I am with the girl I like."
"Abhishek... I came with her." Preeta replies in panic.
"So what? Now, you be with me." Abhishek tells her as he took her hand and led her to their table.

"Hey..." Pragya tells Karan with nervous excitement.
"Hey." Karan says as he stood up and hugged Pragya.
"Sorry, I was late."
"No problem, actually I was early." Karan tells her smiling as they sat down. "isn't that Abhishek?" Karan asks curiously.
"Yeah."
"He didn't tell me he would be here." Karan replies confused.
"That is my best friend, Preeta with him. Her sister married Abhishek's brother." Pragya tells him.
"Oh okay. Aaliyah's sister. So they are dating?" Karan asks curiously.
"Not yet." Pragya replies laughing. "Actually, Abhishek and I tricked her to come today. she is trying to set me up with Abhishek but he likes her. so, I told her that I am on a date with Abhishek and need her for moral support and brought her with me."
"That is cheating." Karan replies shocked.
"She is my best friend. Everything is fair in friendship and war." Pragya waves it off with a chuckle.
"So, tricking her in going on a date with Abhishek is friendship or war?" Karan asks with a teasing smile.
Pragya laughs hearing that. "Abhishek would say love."
"Psst Pragya... Pragya..."
Curiously Pragya turns to look at Abhishek and Preeta's table. Abhishek was grinning at her.
"What?" Pragya mouths to him.
Grinning, Abhishek points his finger to his ear and points it up.
Curious, Pragya listens.

Kabhi Kabhi Lage Lolita

"Param Sundari!!!" Pragya laughs.
Abhishek winks at her.
Laughing Pragya turns to look at Karan. "Abhishek calls me Param Sundari." Pragya informs him and she notices few people dancing. "Let's dance!" Pragya excitedly tells Karan.
"I don't dance." Karan says a little embarrassed.
"Aww." Pragya pouts sadly.
"You can dance, if you want." Karan tells her.
"Okay." Pragya excitedly turns to Preeta. "Preeta... let's dance." Pragya calls out to her in a whisper.
Preeta glares at her. "I. Am. Leaving." Preeta mouths to her.
Pragya rolls her eyes. "Abhishek!" Pragya calls him in a loud whisper.
"What?" Abhishek mouths to her.
"Let's dance!" Pragya calls him.
Excitedly smiling, Abhishek quickly stands up. Then he turns to Preeta. "Preeta, let's dance."
"No, you two dance."
"Abhishek, come before the song finish!" Pragya tells him.
"Coming, Param Sundari!"
Pragya laughs and they both excitedly runs to the dance floor.

Pragya and Abhishek happily starts dancing.
"How is it going?" Abhishek asks her as they danced.
"Good... for you guys?"
"She is still in shock."
"She will come around." Pragya brushes it off.
Abhishek nods. "Haaye Meri Param Param Param Param Param Sundari." Abhishek sings as he danced with Pragya.
"Pairon Mein Payal Ki Bedi Se Bandh Ke Main Na Rehne Wali." Pragya sings as she danced with Abhishek.
Karan stared in shock as he watched the two worst dancers in the history, having the time of their lives, dancing so happily and carefree.
"I was so right! those two clowns are so made for each other."
Hearing that Karan curiously looks up and sees Preeta standing near his table as she watched them dance.
"Horrible dancers, no?" Preeta asks as she sat on Pragya's seat.
"Horrible is too kind." Karan replies.
Preeta chuckles hearing that.
"Pragya told me what she and Abhishek did." Karan gently tells her.
"Not nice." Preeta shakes her head.
Karan nods.
"Are you that into her?" Preeta asks him curiously.
"She is pretty." Karan replies.
"Look at her dance and tell me."
Karan laughs out loud hearing that.
Preeta chuckles.
"Abhishek made the worst move by dancing in front of you." Karan jokes.
Preeta laughs hearing that. "Both have no inhibitions."
"I can see why you think they are alike. But too much alike makes it boring, right?" Karan asks curiously.
"They have enough difference between them to keep it interesting."
"What makes you think that Pragya and I won't work out?" Karan asks her.
"We both have been watching them dance." Preeta points out.
"Yeah." Karan replies confused.
"Did either of them turn to look at us, even once?"
"Hmmm I get your point." Karan nods.
"Will you help me to bring them close?" Preeta asks him excitedly.
"Please, I have a life." Karan replies not interesting.
"Consider this your contribution to the world." Preeta tells him.
"Why is it a contribution to the world? Keeping them away from other people is favoring the world?"
Preeta laughs. "Those two are so dumb, imagine, their kids. They are going to be super intelligent. Haven't you heard that smart parents have stupid kids and stupid parents have smart kids?"
"Are you two really best friends?" Karan asks shocked.
Preeta laughs. "She is my jaan. And she and Abhishek are so perfect for each other."
"So, you think."
"Come on, do your part for the world. You might be stopping the next best scientist from being born."
"I can see why Pragya is your best friend and Abhishek is smitten with you."
Preeta laughs.
"Anyway, I've a knee injury, so the doctor told me not to play for three weeks. For next three weeks I am free in the evening. So, why not?" Karan shrugs. "What is your plan?"

"Do it with a twist!" Pragya and Abhishek sings as they danced to the table.
They had danced for two more songs.
"Ho mera apna character Teri apni adaa Tootenge bikhrenge" Pragya and Abhishek sings and comes to a stop seeing Preeta and Karan sitting together.
"Hey!" Abhishek smiles as he walked to them.
"Did you guys get bored?" Pragya asks.
"No, we were just talking." Karan replies.
"Did you guys order something? I'm thirsty." Pragya asks.
"Yeah, we got drinks." Preeta replies.
"I'll get you. what do you want?" Abhishek asks Pragya.
"I'll come with you."
"Okay."

The bartender hands them both their drinks. Pragya takes hers and Abhishek takes his.
"Nice." Abhishek says as he sipped his drink. "I wouldn't have ever tried it."
"This is my favorite." Pragya tells him as she leaned on the counter and drank.
"Do you come here often?" Abhishek asks her as he stood next to her.
"Couple of times. You?"
"Yeah me too, couple of times."
"How come we never met before?" Pragya asks shocked.
"If Preeta was with you, we would have." Abhishek laughs.
Pragya chuckles. "Oh yeah, then definitely. She has been behind me since the day we met, to meet you when we come for vacation."
"Why didn't you agree?" Abhishek asks her curiously.
"Have you seen you, years back?" Pragya asks him.
"What do you mean?" Abhishek asks as he finished his drink then turning to the bartended he says, "One more. Pragya?"
"Yeah, me too."
They waited as the bartender made their drink.
"She showed me your photo, she said it was pretty old one, I think you were in your 12th standard that time."
"Oh God, please no." Abhishek whispers as he closed his eyes in dread.
"You weren't that bad then."
"Oh I have seen myself back then."
Pragya laughs. "Then after that, when she tried showing me your latest photos on facebook, I just didn't look only."
Abhishek shakes his head.
"Hey, now you're a stud."
"Really?" Abhishek asks with a flirty smile as he leaned towards her.
"You're Param Sundara." Pragya laughs.
"Oh my Param Sundari."
Pragya leans towards him and fluttering her eyelashes says, "Oh my Param Sundara."
"Are we supposed to get them a room?" Karan asks Preeta in shock as they watched Pragya and Abhishek.

"What are you guys talking?" Pragya asks as she took the seat next to Preeta.
"We were just talking about Karan's knee injury." Preeta explains.
"Oh what happened? Are you okay?" Pragya asks in concern.
"Yeah, I am good. It's a small injury. Few weeks' rest and I will be able to play." Karan tells her.
"Are you a batsman?" Pragya asks curiously.
"All-rounder."
"Wow." Pragya says smiling then curiously she turns to Abhishek. "Do you play, Abhishek?"
Abhishek shakes his head. "I used to play basketball. Now, stopped that also."
"Why?" Pragya asks curiously.
"Busy with work. and I don't love the sport like Suresh and him. they have to play daily."
"Daily?" Pragya asks surprised.
Karan shrugs with a grin.
"What about you? You into any sports?" Abhishek asks Pragya.
"I like watching cricket. I can understand football a little bit. Nothing else."
"You know; these guys have tournaments. We should go the next time they are playing." Abhishek says excitedly.
"Awesome! Let's do that." Pragya says excitedly. "When is your next tournament?"
"In two months, one is coming."
"Great!"
"Will you be here?" Abhishek asks her curiously.
"Yeah, I finished college. I'm home now. and I joined my father's business."
"That is nice. What field are you in?"
"Actually, I starting at low level. Papa said that I should work my way up."
"Same was the case with Suresh and me also." Abhishek replies smiling. "What business is it?" Abhishek asks curiously.
Preeta and Karan watched as Abhishek and Pragya spoke and made tons of plans.

"Preeta was telling me where she lives, it is on the way to my house, I'll drop her." Karan tells Abhishek.
"Okay. What about Pragya?" Abhishek asks.
"Can you drop her?" Karan asks him.
"Yeah, sure. No problem." Abhishek says as he gestured Pragya to follow him.
"My chauffer, Abhishek." Pragya as she walked to Abhishek and held his hand.
"Madam Memsaab." Abhishek calls her.
"Bye guys." Preeta says.
"Wait, what's plan for tomorrow?" Pragya asks curiously.
"Let's meet here tomorrow?" Abhishek asks.
"Yeah, I am in." Preeta replies.
Pragya turns to Abhishek and tells him, "Told you, do your thing and she will be convinced."
"Yeah." Abhishek replies as he winked at Preeta.
"Are you two drunk?" Karan asks them gently.
"No." Both reply.
"You can drive, right?" Karan asks Abhishek.
"All good, man. Just two drinks."
"Okay."
"Bye, Karan." Pragya tells him smiling.
"See you tomorrow, Pragya." Karan tells her smiling.
Karan and Preeta walked to Karan's car while Abhishek and Pragya walked to Abhishek's car.
"Do you want to get ice cream on the way?" Pragya asks him curiously.
"Oh yeah.... Nothing like midnight ice cream." Abhishek replies smiling widely.
"I know!"

Pragya waits near the door as she licked on her ice cream cone.
"Do you think your parents slept?" Abhishek asks as he waited with her.
"Mama is a nocturnal animal." Pragya replies.
"So, can never sneak into your house, huh?" Abhishek asks laughing.
"I always tell them what I am up to, so there is no need to sneak in. you sneak in?"
"All the time and my parents are very early to bed and early to rise."
Hearing the door open, they turn to look at the door.
Sarala smiles at them.
"Am I late?" Pragya asks her mother.
"Just about." Sarala replies as she looked at Abhishek.
"This is Abhishek, Mama. And Abhishek, this is my mother." Pragya makes the introductions.
"Hello aunty."
"Hello beta."
"it's late, I'll leave." Abhishek says.
"Aren't you coming in?" Pragya asks him.
"Another time. Suresh has gone for honeymoon, so I have extra work at office. If I come in, then I will be late for work tomorrow."
"Okay then." Pragya smiles at him.
"See you tomorrow. Bye aunty."
After Abhishek left, Sarala locks the door.
"How was your date?" Sarala asks Pragya.
"I had the best time ever!" Pragya declares.

Two weeks later
They had been meeting for the "double" date for almost every evening.
"Tomorrow, I can't come." Preeta informs them.
"Yeah, me too." Abhishek says.
"What happened?" Pragya asks curiously.
"Tomorrow, my so-called elder brother and bhabhi are coming back from their honeymoon. So, they all are coming over for dinner."
"Oh okay... let's meet up, day after then." Pragya says as she turned to Karan to confirm.
"Yeah, sure." Karan replies.
Turning to Abhishek curiously, Pragya asks him, "Why "so-callled" elder brother?"
"Ermm." Abhishek gulps as he sat up.
"You don't know that?" Karan asks laughing.
"No." Pragya replies.
"It's nothing, Pragya." Abhishek replies as he shook his head at Karan.
"Jeeju is elder to Abhishek by just hardly 10 months. That is why." Preeta laughs.
"What?" Pragya asks in shock, her eyes widening in amazement.
Abhishek awkwardly looks away.
"Uncle was a naughty." Karan jokes.
"So was aunty." Preeta says laughing.
Karan and Preeta laughs while Pragya also giggles.
"Erm... I need to make a call." Abhishek says and quickly gets up and walks off.
"Is he okay?" Pragya asks in concern.
"I think he got embarrassed." Preeta replies as they looked at Abhishek walk off.
"But we always joke about that." Karan replies confused.
"But he didn't want to share it now." Pragya tells them as she got up and followed Abhishek.
Abhishek was leaning on his car, when Pragya walks to him.
"Are you okay?" Pragya asks him.
"Yeah, I am fine." Abhishek replies. "I've to make a call."
Pragya leans on his car next to him.
Abhishek sighs and says, "It was fine in the beginning."
Pragya nods.
"It was fun actually. Suresh and I was in the same class, and when people find out that we are not fraternal twins, they think Suresh failed a year. It was fun to see Suresh get annoyed about that." Abhishek chuckles.
Pragya smiles hearing that.
"Then we grew up and we realized how kids are born, and everyone started joking about how Dad wouldn't even leave Mom alone after her delivery. It was embarrassing but it didn't affect us that much." Abhishek explains.
"That was cruel." Pragya whispers.
Abhishek shrugs. "We were kids. Then we grew up and still this got stuck with us. Suresh after a point just ignored it all."
"Even you should." Pragya tells him.
"I try but it so awkward when your friends and everyone you meet, their first thought when they realize the age difference between Suresh and me is that Dad is a horny man. And, to an extent, everyone's thought is that I shouldn't have been born and that I am an accident."
"Abhishek..."
"I know, Pragya, that half the world population is an accident but at times I feel my birth makes everyone see my parents wrong."
"None of them know the depth of your parents' feelings for each other. And your parents and Suresh loves you. Abhishek only that matter, nothing else matters."
Abhishek nods.
"I don't want you to think wrong about my parents."
"I don't." Pragya tells him smiling.
Abhishek smiles hearing that.
Smiling, Abhishek and Pragya hug.
"Now, please be happy." Pragya tells him.
"I am happy." Abhishek replies chuckling.

Abhishek was with Preeta, Suresh and Aaliyah as they talked. Abhishek was feeling restless and bored.
"Abhi, you with us?" Suresh asks him curiously.
"Yeah... I was just..." Abhishek shakes his head.
He notices Preeta looking at him curiously and he chuckles and asks. "It feels so weird without Pragya, right?"
Preeta smiles and asks, "Are you missing her?"
"It would have been fun, if she was here." Abhishek says then excitedly he says, "I'll ask her to come."
"She should be free." Preeta says.
"I'll ask her to get ready then." Abhishek says as he took his mobile and started messaging Pragya as he headed out.
"Abhi, are you going somewhere?" Santoshi asks him shocked.
"Yeah, I'll be back now." Abhishek replies as he continued to message Pragya.
"We were about to serve dinner." Santoshi tells him.
"I'll just pick Pragya and come. we'll come soon."
"Pragya? Abhi, this is just family dinner." Santoshi tells him frowning.
"Pragya is family, Mom." Abhishek casually brushes it off and leaves.
"Who is Pragya?" Mohan asks loudly confused.
"Preeta's best friend." Aaliyah replies.
"Why is Abhi calling her here?" Mohan asks confused.
"They are good friends now. they all meet up every day." Suresh replies.
"But still..." Mohan frowns.
"She is a sweet girl." Preeta's and Aaliyah's father, Akash says.
"It's not that. I was hoping, we could talk about Abhi and Preeta." Mohan explains.
Preeta's heart skips a beat hearing that.
"What about Preeta and Abhi?" Akash asks confused.
Mohan looks at him confused and says, "Preeta and Abhi are dating."
"Preeta, you didn't tell them?" Santoshi asks shocked.
"Is this true, Preeta?" Shilpa asks excitedly.
"No... no... it's not." Preeta quickly says.
"Abhi told me you guys were going on dates." Suresh says confused.
"Abhishek and I am not dating." Preeta explains.
"What?" Suresh asks offended. "Abhi would never lie to me."
"Preeta, Abhi told me that you guys were going on double dates with Karan and Pragya." Aaliyah tells her.
"Di... Abhi doesn't realize it yet." Preeta hesitantly explains.
"Realize what?" Suresh asks frowning.
"He is kinda dating Pragya." Preeta explains embarrassed.
"What?"
"When Pragya gets here, you will see, jeeju." Preeta explains

Pragya was bored out of her wits. She was dejectedly sitting in front of the TV as she kept changing channels.
"How come you didn't go out today?" Sarala asks curiously.
"Dinner at Abhishek's place for Preeta's family." Pragya tells her.
"Okay."
Hearing her mobile buzzing, Pragya curiously checks her phone.
Pragya, what are you doing?
Nothing much. Just chilling at home.
I'm coming to get you. get ready. Dinner at my place.
Pragya excitedly smiles. Okay. your ETA?
Pragya quickly stands up. "Mama, I'm going to Abhishek's house for dinner."

Everyone watches curiously as Abhishek walked in with Pragya.
"Mom... Dad this is Pragya. Pragya, they are my parents." Abhishek quickly makes the introductions.
"Hello Unlce... Hello Aunty."
"Hello Pragya." they smile at her.
"And you know Suresh." Abhishek says.
"I know your so-called elder brother." Pragya replies chuckling.
Abhishek chuckles.
"Let's have dinner." Santoshi tells them. "Come, Pragya." Santoshi invites her with a smile.
Noticing Preeta take the seat next to Aaliyah, Pragya sits next to Abhishek.
"How was work?" Abhishek asks her as they sat down.
"I was about to tell you then got distracted." Pragya says excitedly. "I told you right, my manager was very strict with me and I thought Papa had asked him to be tough with me."
"Yeah."
"He was so strict with me and made me do all the work while he was very lenient with Ridhima."
"Hmmm." Abhishek frowns hearing that.
"Today, Papa called us for a meeting and he kept praising Ridhima. Papa was so impressed that he started asking Ridhima about the work and she couldn't answer even one question properly."
"I bet."
"Papa got so pissed, he fired Ridhima on the spot and blasted the manager and gave him a warning. I am assigned another manager."
"So, your father didn't ask your manager to be tough on you." Abhishek states confused.
Pragya laughs. "turns out there was some confusion and my manager thought that Ridhima was me."
Abhishek laughs hearing that. "Did you tell your father what all you did there?"
"Yeah... and he was so proud of me." Pragya says smugly.
Noticing that the table was silent, Abhishek curiously turns and sees everyone watching them. "What?" Abhishek asks confused.
They all awkwardly look away.
"We were waiting for you to finish your appetizer so we could have main course." Preeta lies.
Aaliyah and Mohan who were already eating their main course, keeps their hands around their plate to hide their food.
"Oh we didn't realize." Pragya replies as she quickly finished he appetizer.

"So, how is your brother doing? You guys would have lots to catch upon."
"Yeah... didn't get much chance to talk." Abhishek replies.
"You guys tell each other everything?"
"Yeah. But he is busy since he got back."
Pragya nods.
Cheekily, Abhishek informs her, "He is so smitten."
Pragya chuckles hearing that. "Just like how you're smitten with Preeta?"
Abhishek laughs. "Worse than that."
"That would be horrible then." Pragya laughs then excitedly she tells him, "You know, in one of her Mata Cher moments, Preeta said that once we meet we would be inseparable."
Abhishek chuckles and says, "And every night I drop you home and leave."
"Yeah." Pragya laughing rolling her eyes. "If I had evil streak then I would have made her eat her words."
Abhishek laughs hearing that.
Noticing everyone looking at them, Abhishek tells them. "You guys don't have to wait for us. we are slow eaters."
"Since when?" Suresh asks shocked.
Before Abhishek could say anything, Mohan interjects. "Who all are there in your family, beta?"
"Papa, Mama and me." Pragya replies.
"You should bring them home one day." Santoshi tells her smiling.
"Sure, aunty." Pragya tells her smiling.

"You're having dessert?" Abhishek asks shocked as he walked to the living room where Pragya was sitting with everyone.
"Why? This is yum." Pragya replies shocked.
"I thought we would have ice cream as usual when I dropped you home." Abhishek says. Noticing there was no place to sit with Pragya as Preeta was sitting with her, Abhishek casually sits on Pragya's side arm rest.
Pragya keeps her hand on his lap and tells him, "My stomach always has space for ice cream."
Abhishek rolls his eyes hearing that.
"You guys have ice cream every night?" Preeta asks shocked.
"Yeah, there is this ice cream van near my place, we always stop there for ice cream." Pragya tells her.
"Yuckiest ice cream it is." Abhishek declares.
"But it is fun to have midnight ice cream." Pragya says.
Pragya turns to Aaliyah and asks her with a teasing smile, "How was your trip Aaliyah di?"
Aaliyah blushes slightly and says, "It was nice."
Soon they were talking about Aaliyah's and Suresh's trip and what all places each one wanted to go.
Abhishek gently keeps his hand on Pragya's shoulder. Pragya turns to look at him curiously.
"You okay? you seem a little dull." Abhishek gently asks her.
"Yeah, just tired and back pain." Pragya replies softly.
"What happened?" Abhishek asks her in concern.
"It's normal." Pragya whispers. When he looked at her in concern, she leans towards him and whispers. "Got my periods, that's all."
"Oh... you want to go home?" Abhishek asks her in concern.
"No, it's okay."
"Should I get you pillow or something?"
"Relax, I am fine. It is normal." Pragya tells him smiling.
Abhishek smiles and keeps his hand on top of hers and holds it gently. Pragya smiles at him.
Seeing them like that, Suresh asks Pragya curiously. "How is Karan's knee, Pragya?"
"I think it is fine." Pragya replies confused. "He said he had to rest for three weeks. How long has it been?" Pragya asks Abhishek.
"I think 2 weeks maybe."
"It is better but he is still having one final visit with the doctor before he can resume game again." Preeta tells them.
Suresh and Aaliyah look at her in shock.
Preeta shrugs and whispers, "For how long are we to just watch them talk? So we talk."

Abhishek was walking to his room coming back after dropping Pragya.
"Abhi..." Suresh calls him.
"Didn't sleep?" Abhishek asks him as he turned to look at him.
"Wanted to talk to you." Suresh tells him as he walked towards him.
"Yeah?" Abhishek asks with a smile as he waited for Suresh to reach. "Where is Bhabhi?"
"Slept." Suresh says as he stood next to him.
"Okay, come." Abhishek says as he opened his bedroom door.
Suresh follows him to the bedroom.
"What's up?" Abhishek asks. "You seem serious."
"You are my so-called younger brother and my best friend, and I don't like you being a fool in front of others." Suresh tells him.
"What do you mean?" Abhishek asks frowning.
"Preeta told everyone today that you guys are not dating."
"What?" Abhishek asks shocked. "We've been going on dates..."
Suresh cuts him off and tells him. "She said you haven't realized it yet but you're dating Pragya."
"What?" Abhishek asks shocked out of his wits.
"I don't know what is happening between you and Pragya, Abhi. but from the moment Pragya reached, you haven't left her side."
"We are friends, Suresh. We get along well and we like talking to each other." Abhishek whispers in confusion.
"I know you, Abhi. I've seen you with others. Pragya is different for you." Suresh tells him gently.

Pragya was having breakfast with her parents when her father broached the topic.
"Pragya, isn't it time that you brought your boyfriend home?" Raghuveer asks her.
"Boyfriend?" Pragya asks slightly shocked.
"Yes."
"But Papa we just started going on dates..."
"You are going out every evening with him. we should meet him." Raghuveer tells her.
Pragya nods. "Okay."
"What is his name?" Raghuveer asks her curiously.
Before Pragya could answer, Sarala answers. "Abhishek. very nice boy he is."
"Abhishek?" Pragya shouts in shock.
"What? That isn't his name?" Sarala asks confused.
"Abhishek is my friend. He is dating Preeta. I am dating... actually going on dates with Karan." Pragya replies shocked.
"Who is this Karan? You're always coming with Abhishek and you never mentioned any Karan." Sarala asks shocked out of her wits.
"Because Karan drops Preeta because her house is on his way to his house."
"Isn't Preeta's house like five minutes from here?" Raghuveer asks confused.
"Yes." Sarala replies.
Pragya's eyes widen in shock. Abhishek's house was close to 20 minutes away from her place.
"And Pragya, yesterday you said you weren't going out because Abhishek had guests at home. If Abhishek was busy why didn't you go with Karan if he is your boyfriend?" Sarala asks confused.
Pragya's mouth drops open realizing that was true. Why didn't Karan and she make plans to meet? She didn't think of it and Karan also didn't think of it? and realization was immediate, Preeta was still playing matchmaker and Karan was helping her.

Pragya and Abhishek met later that evening.
"Mata Cher is at it again!" Pragya informs him reeling from her shock.
"How did you realize it?" Abhishek asks her shocked.
"My parents think that you're my boyfriend." Pragya tells him and tells him what had happened.
"Same thing happened at my place yesterday." Abhishek tells her and explains to her his conversation with Suresh.
"I can't believe that they made such a big pappu out of us!" Pragya says outraged.
"Do you think we should..." Abhishek nervously starts to ask.
"We should definitely." Pragya declares.
"We should?" Abhishek asks her nervously.
"Yes! Tonight, you don't leave Preeta's side and I'll stick to Karan. We will sit in different tables too."
"Oh!" Abhishek sighs disappointed.
"Okay?"
"Yeah... okay! let's try that then." Abhishek says sighing.

"Why are we sitting separately?" Karan asks confused as he looked at the table where Abhishek was with Preeta.
"For how long are we going to be on double dates? We should spend time with each other." Pragya says nervously as she fought the urge to turn and look at Abhishek's table.
"Oh." Karan nervously says as he worriedly looked at Preeta.
Pragya just wanted to look at Abhishek and see how he was doing. She just wanted to see him, and she didn't like that he was with Preeta, and that was very strange.
"So... erm.... What's up?" Pragya asks Karan as she tried to think of something to talk to him about.

"Let's leave?" Abhishek asks as they walked to Pragya's table half an hour later.
"YES!" Pragya and Karan quickly says relieved.
"Come, Preeta, let's go." Karan says hurriedly.
Abhishek turns to Pragya and asks her, "I'll drop you home?"
"Yeah, Preeta's house is on the way to Karan's. you drop me." Pragya uneasily says.
"Let's go then." Abhishek says.
Pragya and Abhishek gets in his car and they turn to look at each other.
"How did your date with Preeta go?" Pragya asks him nervously.
"How did your date with Karan go?" Abhishek asks her instead worriedly.
"I was trying my best not to look at you." Pragya guiltily confesses. "I couldn't be with Karan. What about you?"
"I was hoping you would look at me at least once." Abhishek confesses.
Pragya gasps in shock.
"I couldn't even look at Preeta." Abhishek tells her.
Pragya and Abhishek nervously looks at each other then hesitantly they move closer to each other till their lips touched each other's. they gently and tenderly kiss each other.
"You're sure that you want me, right?" Abhishek asks her softly.
"Yes. You?"
"I wanted to talk to you about that when we met earlier. I realized how dumb and stupid we were being. But you were being still dumb."
"You were drooling after Preeta before."
"You were drooling after Karan and he is still hot."
"You are the hottest." Pragya tells him.
"And you're the hottest."
"No, I am your Param Sundari." Pragya tells him chuckling.
Chuckling, Abhishek hungrily takes her lips in his.

Next morning, Pragya reaches Preeta's house and sees Abhishek and Preeta hugging.
"Damn!" Pragya mutters.
Abhishek turns to her and smiles. "Hey!"
"You bloody told her that she had been right all this time!" Pragya says seeing Preeta gloating.
"Come on, she had been right, let her gloat." Abhishek tells Pragya chuckling as he walked to her.
"He also said you two were bloody fools." Preeta smugly says.
"We were!" Pragya sighs loudly as she side hugged Abhishek.
Abhishek hugs her as he kissed her temple.
Preeta laughs. "I was right. you two owe me."
"Mata Cher!"
Abhishek chuckles and asks Pragya. "Did you meet Karan?"
Pragya laughs. "He got so scared seeing me so early in the morning. I thought he would faint."
Abhishek chuckles.
"He was so relieved when I told him that he doesn't have to play matchmaker with Preeta anymore." Pragya tells them.
Abhishek grins and he turns to Pragya. "Let's go? We should clear up the confusions at our homes too."
"Yeah." Pragya says as she lovingly smiled at him.
"Bye darling!" Pragya tells Preeta as they turned to leave.
Hearing her mobile buzz, Preeta curiously takes her phone and sees it is a message from Karan. She starts to check the message as she called out to Abhishek and Pragya. "As a way to thank me, you can name your daughter after me."
"Let's see." Abhishek winks at her.
"You wish!" Pragya scoffs at her.
Chuckling, Preeta checks the message from Karan.
Pragya came. She said that those two have come to their senses and I don't have to act being on a date with her anymore. Thank God for that.
So, just wanted to check whether you would like to go on a date with me?

3 years later
Pragya sneaks Abhishek into her bedroom and closes the door.
"You're mad." Pragya tells him as she hugged him.
"I'm the only sane one here. Rest of the world is mad!" Abhishek mutters as he hugged her and then gave her ice cream.
Pragya giggles as she took the ice cream from him. Abhishek grins and leans down to kiss her when he hears a knock at the door. he closes his eyes in exasperation. Pragya chuckles.
"Pragya!"
"I will kill that old hag!" Abhishek mutters irately.
Pragya chuckles and opens the door.
"I told you that he is here!" Mithali says glaring at Abhishek.
Sarala and Raghuveer awkwardly looks at Abhishek.
"What are you doing here, Abhishek?" Sarala asks him embarrassed.
"I came to see her!" Abhishek replies offended.
"Saw her? come, you're sleeping with me tonight." Raghuveer tells him. "Sarala, you stay with Pragya tonight."
"I'm going home!" Abhishek declares outraged.
"Then go!" Mithali tells him glaring at him.
"You better watch what you eat, because I'm going to poison you!" Abhishek warns her as he started to leave.
"Abhi!" Pragya calls him.
Realizing he stops and turns to go back inside when Mithali moves in front of him.
Abhishek glares at her. "I am going to kiss her!" Abhishek tells her walking around her and he walked back into the bedroom.
Abhishek walks to the bed and sees his daughter sleeping. He bends down and kisses her lovingly and whispers "Papa, will see you tomorrow, Cher baby."
Abhishek hugs Pragya and starts to leave as he glared at the midwife. "I didn't get my wife pregnant for two years after marriage and she thinks I will get her pregnant one month after she gave birth."
"Your brother was more innocent than you!" Mithali scoffs at him.
And the fight went out of Abhishek as he left muttering under his breath. All his life, his parents had made him awkward and now his so-called elder brother has become a thorn in his side.
His bloody so-called elder brother hasn't heard of something called condoms in his life.
His so-called elder brother had his son by the time he celebrated his first wedding anniversary and on his son's first birthday celebration the chief guest was his daughter!
Now, everyone is keeping him away from his wife in order to stop history from repeating.
His so-called elder brother is so close to being so-bloody dead!!!
