My Lovesick Puppy

"Did you just... What....wa....huh?" Jessica stutters.
"Look I know it's hard for you to understand, but promise me you won't tell ANYONE."
"But-"
"PROMISE. He means a lot to me and I can't lose him."
She glares at me and finally says,
"Okay."
Wolf walks in, holding a glass of water.
"Here's your water, ginger."
"I'm not ginger."
"Whatever."
I shoot a menacing glare at him.
He hands the glass to Jessica and walks out, and we exchange dirty looks.
He is such an idiot.
Suddenly, Jessica's phone goes off and she stares at it, before holding it up to her ear and simply saying, "what do you want?".
I ask her who it is, and she replies, "my brother."
"Oh."
She listens and I hear the quiet muffled sounds of his voice over the phone.
She eventually puts the phone down and says, "sorry, something's come up. I really need to leave."
"What happened?"
"Stuff, um, bye!"
She gets up and walks through the doorway, and I listen to the gentle clip clop of her heels as the walks down the hallway. She unlocks the door and walks out, shouting "love you".
"Love you too," I reply.
She closes the door.
Instantaneously, I get up and walk to Wolf, sitting silently watching tv.
I grab his hair and hoist him to his feet.
"Ow ow ow ow ow get off my hair!!!"
"Could you not have tried to be nice to Jessica??"
"Lol did you see her face though?"
He mimics her face and I can't help but giggle.
"...it's not funny" I say, "just try to be nice."
"Only when you let go of my hair."
I let go and he rubs his head.
"That hurt."
"Good."
I walk off, just to see a glimpse of Jessica's face through the window. She looks really left out and I suddenly feel bad for her. She sees me and quickly walks away.
I walk to the window and look out, but she's already gone.
