Jungkook and Jimin are in an arranged marriage.
Jungkook never wanted to marry so early and so he remained cold and indifferent to his loving husband.
Jimin,though understanding of why Jungkook is cold to him, could only take so much in their one year of marriage and fights for their marriage
"What the fck did you just say?!" Jungkook's voice is harsh reflecting his surprise, he never expected Jimin would ever ask to separate from him
"All I'm saying is I am your husband and I want to be treated like one.... if you can't then I would rather move out and stay with my family who cares for me..." Jimin says before walking away

That night Jungkook comes home drunk. Namjoon, Jungkook's best friend who dropped the man home, tells Jimin that the man was really upset about what Jimin had mentioned earlier that day. Namjoon lets Jimin know that though Jungkook would never admit it, the man had already fallen in love with Jimin and it really broke the man who never drank, to drink today in his sadness and at the thought of never seeing Jimin again.
Jimin sighs as he watches the man sleep
Do you really love me that much to get drunk at the thought of losing me? Will I be making a mistake by giving you another chance?

The next morning Jungkook woke up confused. He has never gotten drunk before and this feeling was new to him. He appreciated Jimin not judging him and instead taking care of him like a baby
"Thank you..." Jungkook says when Jimin hands him the hangover soup
Jimin smiles, finally believing that they could start being civil to each other
Jungkook did start being a bit more involved in his marriage, giving Jimin a chance to take care of him and also voluntarily buying things that he knew would make Jimin shy.
But Jimin soon realises that the cold Jungkook was still in the man, that Jungkook was being more friendly only because the man was afraid Jimin would leave him. It was like Jungkook was so used to Jimin as a habit and not because he had yet realised that he loved Jimin. It really hurt the boy that his husband just looked at him as a responsibility and not with love. And what broke his heart more was the fact that Jungkook had divorce papers made and put in his cupboard from before their marriage.
You never threw the papers away huh? Were you just waiting for the chance to throw these at me after I have already fallen deeper for you? - Jimin wipes his tears

Jimin finally leaves a few weeks later, without any explanation. Jungkook comes home to find an empty house, his divorce papers that Jimin signed and put on the table with the boy's wedding ring.
Jungkook's heart broke
"J-Jimin... s-stop joking around..." Jungkook runs along the length of their apartment to each room, hoping Jimin was playing a terrible prank on him
Jungkook calls Jimin's phone only to be unreachable. Jimin's parents didn't answer his calls even.
No! No! It can't be! - Jungkook finally breaks down.
Jungkook runs to his car and to Jimin's family home , only to realize that the house is vacant and from the neighbors he got to know that the Park family left Busan.
Why? Why? Why did you leave me when I love you.... Jungkook sobbed .... I... I love you... I love you.... Jungkook clenched the shirt covering his chest realizing the love he felt for his husband ... I love you .... please come back... I'm sorry you left because of me... I promise to be better... I promise to never hurt you.... I promise... please give me one more chance
Jimin's mom messages Jungkook one evening that they were in Seoul. Jungkook thanks her and catches the next train to Seoul. His heart breaks though when he sees Taehyung, Jimin's best friend, pin Jimin to the kitchen wall and grab his cheeks and, according to Jungkook, kiss him. Jimin was shyly laughing after the kiss.
Jungkook couldn't help but let out a sob at that. Jimin and Taehyung, their eyes widened seeing the man standing there watching them.
"Jung..."
Jungkook leaves and Jimin breaks down crying after seeing his love after almost a week.
Taehyung runs behind Jungkook, shouting his name but Jungkook doesn't stop
"I didn't kiss him!" and that makes Jungkook stop
Taehyung goes on to say how he was reenacting the way his now boyfriend Yoongi had confessed to him after so many years.
Jungkook comes back into Jimin's house and confesses the truth - about how the man didn't ever want to divorce Jimin after marrying him and how much he has come to love the boy.
Jimin sat quietly with silent tears rolling down his cheeks. He couldn't forgive Jungkook so easily. He had already given the man a second chance after Namjoon had told him that he was sure Jungkook loved him. Jimin had so much hope and expectation after Jungkook started being more open in their marriage but still nothing much changed and Jimin was always left feeling hurt and he didn't want to go through that again. He didn't want to hurt again. He didn't want to cry himself to sleep again. Especially when Jungkook didn't even know he was hurting
"I want a divorce... I'm sorry" Jimin states and Jungkook bursts out crying
After a couple of hours of Jungkook trying to convince Jimin, he agrees to divorce the boy

After their divorce finalized, Jungkook asks Jimin on a date, to which Jimin agrees. This time, there was no pressure of a marriage or relationship that was waging on any of them. They both felt free to express themselves and their desires, though Jungkook was always afraid on the what ifs of some else taking his Jimin away from him. But Jimin always assured him that he rather be with Jungkook than anyone else in his life.
Jungkook doesn't give more time at work than necessary and starts giving Jimin the time the boy deserved. He understands the need to appreciate love and the value of relationships and and is determined to make it work
Jimin could see the huge change in the man fighting for his happiness and that made him fall for his ex husband deeper

It's been a year since their divorce and exactly one year from when they started dating.
Jungkook and Jimin sat cuddling on the sofa while watching a movie when Jimin feels something cold being slipped onto his ring finger
Jimin looks at his finger, surprised to see an engagement ring. He snaps his face to look at Jungkook who looked at him back with so much vulnerability and love
"Marry me?"
Jimin nods his head, happy tears streaming down his face
"Yes!"
Jungkook hugs the boy who leaped into his arms
"I love you so much, Jimin..."
"I love you too Jungkook" Jimin says closing his eyes when he feels Jungkook's warm breath tickles his lips
