Narrator: Last time, Ash and Gary went on a trip to Shalour city, trying to avoid shopping with the girls. While Gary learned about the origins of Mega Evolution from Gurkinn, Ash had a friendly battle with Korrina which Ash ended up winning.
"What dumb question is that? Ofcourse we go!" Gary exclaimed, forming a fist and a determined face.
"And I can accompany you guys aswell!" Korrina exclaimed with a smile on her face, clenching her fist infront of her chest.
Both Ash and Gary looked at her in surprise. "Really? What about the gym?" Ash asked. Korinna smiled with her eyes closed as she moved her hand sideways where Gurkinn stood. "Grandpa?" She said.
"Well you do have a rematch sceduled later on today. Make sure you're back on time ok?" Gurkinn said.
"Then it's settled!" Gary exclaimed before Ash spoke up. "Wait-- A rematch?" He asked surprisingly.
"Yeah, a trainer with a Sceptile. He beat my Mienfu last time but Lucario took him down." Korrina said in a nonchalant way.
"Uhh- Okay..." Ash said, sweatdropping before he continued. "We should go now, if we need to use our water pokemon to get there, we won't be back in time."
Gurkinn chuckled causing Ash and Gary to change their attention towards him. "There's a boat at the back of the gym, feel free to use it." He said in a cheerful manner.
Suddenly stars appeared in Ash's eyes. "Alright!" He exclaimed, pumping his fist into the air. "Let's go and find that mega stone for you Lucario!" Ash exclaimed happily.
"RRaH!" Lucario exclaimed, also throwing his fist into the air.
A few moments later on the boat towards Mega Island
"I can see it in the distance!" Ash exclaimed happily while holding the railing. "Pika!" "R-Ah!" Pikachu and Lucario exclaimed. Lucario was also holding the railing while Pikachu was on Ash's shoulder.
"There are sure a lot of rock pillars infront of it..." Ash thought out loud. "Those are meant to protect the island." Korrina replied as she was steering the boat.
Suddenly a Gyarados jumped out of the water. "GYAAGHH" Gyarados exclaimed before diving back under again.
"Woah..." Ash exclaimed as he, Pikachu and Lucario looked on in awe at Gyarados. "You might be careful Ash" Gary said, walking up from behind while looking on ahead of him.
A few moments later, Ash, Gary and Korrina, Along with Pikachu and the two Lucario make it on the island.
"This is so amazing!" Ash exclaimed excitedly, looking around the beach as he sees a Kangaskhan grabbing some fruits from a tree and feeding it's baby which was in her pouch.
As they looked around a bit more, they also saw a Scizor and a Heracross fighting eachother while on the otherside an Ampharos was maintaining it's fur. "Pidgeooo--" they heard as they looked up in the sky and saw a couple Pidgeot fly around the place. On the right of them, there was a rock where a Slowbro peacefully laid, watching the sea where wild Sharpedo and Gyarados jumped out of the water every now and then.
"Such variaty of pokemon!" Ash exclaimed with stars in his eyes. Even Gary and Korrina looked on in awe as they never saw so many powerful pokemon in such a small place which had the ability to mega evolve.
"I'm gonna take some pictures and sent them over to professor Oak. It might help him out for research purposes." Gary said as he took out his rotom phone and started to make pictures of the pokemon around the place.
"We should move on. Otherwise we'll never find what you're looking for." Korrina said as she and her Lucario started walking ahead. "You're right!" Ash said as he and Gary followed her from behind.
"So Korrina, do you have any idea where to find a Lucarionite?" Ash asked curiously. "Honestly Ash--- I've got no clue..." Korrina said, causing Ash, Gary and the pokemon to sweatdrop.
"But if you have no clue, how are we supposed to find it then?" Ash asked. Before Korrina could reply, Gary spoke up. "They say, Lucario should be able to sense the location of a Lucarionite using his aura abilities."
"That's true Gary, my grandpa also found his Lucarionite here. Atleast that's what he told me." Korrina replied.
"You think you can do that Lucario?" Ash asked, looking in Lucario's direction. "R-raH." Lucario exclaimed, nodding before it closed it's eyes. He put both of his arms forward as his four appendages on his head started to float. It's body became outlined by a blue colour as it started to concentrate it's aura.
Suddenly Lucario's eyes popped open. "RHR-aH!" It exclaimed as it pointed forward. "Did you sense it!?" Ash asked Lucario.
"RaH!" Lucatio exclaimed as it started running into the forrest. "Come on guys! We need to follow Lucario!" Ash shouted as he started running after the aura pokemon with both Gary and Korrina following closely behind.
Suddenly Lucario stopped dead in his tracks. "What is it Lucario?" Ash asked as he finally caught up.
"HIREEEUUH--" They heard as the ground started to shake violently. "W-What is t-that!" Ash exclaimed, trying to keep his feet steady.
"I-I don't know b-but we'll find out soon!" Gary replied, struggling to stay on his feet. Suddenly the ground opened and a large silver looking snake came out of the ground.
"A Steelix!" Korrina exclaimed, looking at the massive Iron Snake pokemon.
"HERRRR--" Steelix exclaimed, looking angry at Ash, Gary and Korrina. "It doesn't look friendly." Gary said sweatdropping as he kept eyeing Steelix.
"Then it leaves us no choice! Lucario, use Aura Sphere!" Ash exclaimed, pointing towards Steelix. "You too Lucario!" Korrina added.
"RHR-AH" Both Lucario exclaimed as they created a blue sphere between their paws and threw it straight towards Steelix.
The attacks looked like they were gonna hit until suddenly out of nowhere, a white beam appeared.
*BOOM*
The attacks hit eachother, cancelling eachother out. "Now what!" Ash exclaimed angrily. They all looked at the source of the attack. "AGGRONNN--" Aggron exclaimed as it walked over to Steelix's side.
"Oh-no! An Aggron too!" Ash shouted as he saw the Iron Snake and the Iron Armor pokemon standing together, forming a orange orb between their jaws. "There using Hyper Beam!" Gary yelled.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt and Lucario use Aura Sphere, once more!" Ash yelled, trying to block the incoming attacks. "Lucario use Aura Sphere aswell!" Korrina yelled aswell.
"RrAH!" Both Lucario's exclaimed as they each threw their blue orb towards Aggron and Steelix. "Pikaaa-CHUU" Pikachu exclaimed as it braced itself, releasing a powerful bolt of electricity.
"HREEE" "G-ROONNN" Both Steelix and Aggron exclaimed as they fired the orange orbs inside their mouths, releasing a orange beam.
*BOOM*
Both attacks hit eachother, whipping up a big cloud of dust into the air. "They're both Steel types, does anyone of you have a fire type on hand?" Korrina asked nervously as the dust started to settle.
"I have! Go Houndoom!" Ash shouted as he threw the pokeball into the air. The pokeball opened and Houndoom landed right infront of Ash. "Houndoom use Flamethrower!" Aah exclaimed.
"HuRRR-Eee--" Houndoom exclaimed as a jet of flames appeared right from it's mouth, heading straight towards Steelix and Aggron. Both pokemon looked on in surprise as the attack headed straight towards them.
*BOOM*
Another smoke cloud appeared, covering both Steelix and Aggron's sight. "This is our chance!" Gary shouted as he, Ash and Korrina together with Pikachu, Houndoom and the two Lucario's used the smoke to run past Steelix and Aggron.
After a while, they stopped to catch their breath. "Ih-I think we've l-lost them." Korrina breathed out. Ash stood straight as he grabbed his pokeball. "Thanks Houndoom, you deserve a rest." He said as he red beam hit Houndoom which sucked him back into his pokeball.
"So, where do we go now?" Gary asked, looking around. Right above them flew another Pidgeot, chasing an Altaria who seemed to be sparring with eachother.
"Garrrr!" "Rwawwrrrr!"
"Woah!" Ash exclaimed as they looked to where the sound appeared from. A Tyranitar and Garchomp where clashing head on. "Those guys look serious, we better stay away from them!" Korrina exclaimed, walking towards a nearby cave she spotted earlier. "Let's see if we find something in here." She said.
"Yeah, let's go!" Gary exclaimed as he and Gary walked side by side, following Korrina and her Lucario. "There sure are some powerful pokemon here..." Ash exclaimed, sighing.
"Tell me about it, it's definetly dangerous out here, we need to be more careful from now on." Gary replied, looking forward further inside the cave.
A few moments later, they arrived in a more open area with a single path leading up to a shrine which stood on top of a rock im the middle. On each sides were pillars rising from the water with the Mega Evolution symbole on it.
"This looks just like the cave of trials back in Geosenge town!" Korrina exclaimed, looking at her surroundings.
"Now that you mention it--- yeah!" Aah said with a bright smile on his face. Gary looked cluelessly at the two before saying. "Let's find out if that stone's here before some other powerful pokemon shows up."
"Right!" Both Korrina and Ash said simoustanly while nodding their heads. The three of them started to walk down the path before suddenly Ash's Lucario noticed something.
"RAH!" It exclaimed as it quickly formed a blue bone between it's paws. A blue orb flew towards them and luckely for them, Lucario managed to block the incoming attack.
"What was that!" Korrina exclaimed with surprise in her voice. "Come on out!" Ash yelled angrily.
Suddenly out of no where, a blue figure jumped out of the shadows and landed on one knee infront of them. Then it stood up straight while facing them.
"A Lucario!" Ash exclaimed, looking at what was right infront of them. "But it's not a normal one..." Gary said, looking closely at it as sweatdropped down his forehead. "Gary's right..." Korrina added.
"Well, there is one way to find out! Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" Ash yelled, pointing towards Lucario.
"Ah!" Both Gary and Korrina exclaimed as Pikachu rapidly ran straight ahead as white streaks appreared around it's body.
Pikachu ran at full speed at Lucario, Pikachu was bracing for impact. Right as Pikachu was about to hit, it went right through it. "What!" Ash exclaimed in pure shock.
,"I think it's an Aura Lucario!" Korrina guessed as sweat dropped down the side of her head.
"An Aura Lucario?" Ash asked, still shocked.
"Yes! Until now I always believed it was a myth. You see, it's pute aura so most attacks are going to faze through it. They're guarding places where the aura level is really high or---" Korrina explained.
"---Or there's a mega stone!" Ash finished, focussing his attention towards the Aura Lucario.
"Correct! And the only pokemon that may stand a chance is Lucario." Korrina said.
Ash grinded his teeth. "Then it leaves us no choice... Lucario use Aura Sphere and follow up with Bone Rush!" He yelled.
"RaH-RA!" Lucario exclaimed as he charged a blue orb between it's paws and fired it towards the Aura Lucario. Quickly Lucario summoned a blue bone between his paws and ran straight after the Aura Sphere.
*BOOM*
Dust appeared on the impact of the Aura Sphere and as soon as it settled, Aura Lucario stood there without a scratch and a blue bone staff in his paws, holding it with downwards. It quickly looked up as Ash's Lucario came flying in with the blue bone staff in his paws, swinging it down towards Aura Lucario's head.
He quickly moved his staff up, blocking the attack before using the other end of the staff to launch Lucario away, slamming him into one of the pillars.
"Lucario!" Ash yelled in a worried manner. Ash quickly eased up as Lucario jumped out of the rubble and landed infront of Ash.
"That Lucario sure is strong..." Ash said, sweatdropping. "But so are we! Lucario, use Close Combat!" He yelled, punching downwards.
"RHaH!" Lucario yelled as he ran forward while his fists and feet started to glow orange. Aura Lucario's eyes widened as Ash's Lucario started to punch, jab and kick him multiple times, giving him no time to retaliate.
"Now finish it up with Bone Rush!" Ash yelled and within a heartbeat, Lucario backed a bit away to create a bone staff between his paws and slammed it towards Aura Lucario.
The Aura Lucario blocked the staff with both of his claws which had a metallic colour on them. Metal Claw... Ash thought to himself before giving the next command. "Come on Lucario, you're stronger than this! Push through and wrap it up with Aura Sphere!"
"HRRR--AARHH" Lucario exclaimed, gritting his teeth as he pushed through with his blue bone staff, creating some space between him and the Aura Lucario. Both pokemon had a decent amount of scratches around their bodies and this last move would decide the winner.
Both Lucario charged up an Aura Sphere and fired it towards eachother.
*BOOM*
Both attacks collided whipping up some dust which launched both Lucario's away. As the dust settled, both Lucario were laying on the ground, visibly in pain.
"C'mon Lucario, hang in there! I believe in you buddy!" Ash shouted. Luckely, this gave Lucario enough motivation to try and stand up. He created another blue bone to lean on as it finally stood his ground.
"Awesome! That's the way to go Lucario!" "Pikaa!" Ash and Pikachu encouraged while the Aura Lucario still was down.
"Come on, let's move on." Ash said as he wrapped his arm under Lucario's, supporting him while moving forward.
"Right." Both Gary and Korrina said, still a bit bamboozled by what happened. They quickly walked up to Ash and followed him to the shrine on top of the rock.
"HrRrr..." The Aura Lucario exclaimed as it groaned in pain. Ash stopped right infront of it and put his hand on Lucario's head. "Calm down buddy, we mean no harm. We're only searching for a Lucarionite." Ash said with a friendly smile on his face.
The Aura Lucario nodded before slowly vanishing into thin air. Ash, Gary, Korrina, Pikachu and the two Lucario's made it at the bottom of the rock.
"Aha!" Ash said in excitement as he began running up the stairs woth Lucario behind him and Pikachu on his shoulder. They quickly made it to the top where they could if there really was a Lucarionite.
"Ah!" Ash and Lucario yelled as shock was plastered all over their faces. "What is it Ash!?" Gary said as he and Korrina quickly ran up the stairs themselves. When they did, what they saw shocked them aswell.
"N-Nothing..." Ash said in a surprised manner. "All this for nothing!" He said angrily, forming a fist. "How can this be?" Gary asked, dissapointed about the fact there wasn't a Lucarionite.
"Lucario might have only sensed the aura of that Aura Lucario instead of the Lucarionite..." Korrina said in a dissapointed manner.
Ash's face changed into a sad expression. He moved a bit of rubble under the spot where the Lucarionite should be but there was nothing and he closed his eyes in frustration.
"Pika!" Pikachu suddenly exclaimed, pointing towards the rubble. "Huh!?" Ash said opening his eyes and lookrd at the rubble. "What's that?" He said hopefully, looking at something glistering. He quickly pulled it out. "A keystone?" He said in surprise.
"I guess we won't come out here completely empty handed..." Gary said, shrugging his shoulders. "I guess you're right. Ash said, sighing.
"We should go now, otherwise it will be dark before we arrive at the gym." Korrina said.
"Let's go then." Ash said in a downed manner as he put the keystone in his pocket.
A couple minutes later, Ash and Lucario walked on the beach, luckely avoiding the fighting pokemon, behind Gary and Korrina who were about to get on the boat.
Suddenly something in the sand caught Ash's eye. "What's that?" He said in a low voice as he reached down towards something glistering in the sand. He picked it up and looked at it with a stunned expression on his face.
"A mega stone?" He said as he looked up in the air where a Altaria and Pidgeot were battling eachother.
"You comin' Slowpoke!?" Gary yelled from the boat. "Yeah, I'll be right there!" Ash said, putting the mega stone in his pocket. "Come on guys!" Ash said to Pikachu and Lucario as they got on the boat and started to make their way back.
Meanwhile still in the cave
"Excellent job Lucario." A voice said, looking at the Aura Lucario by his side. "This Lucarionite has to stay here and you're the only one who should be able to use it to protect the island." The voice said as it looked at another female Lucario with a baby Riolu in her arms, feeding it some berries.
Lucario nodded and moved over to the female Lucario and baby Rioly which seemed to be his family.
"Humans shall not interfere with us anymore. They only use us as weapons for their own personal gain and I won't allow them to do that anymore." The voice said, making a fist from his paws while looking at the boat sailing away.
Narrator: After an interesting adventure, searching for a Lucarionite which they sadly didn't find, Ash, Gary and Korrina sail back to the Shalour gym with their pokemon. What mega stone did Ash find and who was the mystery pokemon in the cave who helped the Aura Lucario? Find out as the journey continues!

Hello everyone! Chapter 65 is done. It was hard to write a plot for this one and having it done in time as I've been ill over the weekend. I'm glad that I'm still able to give you this one and hopefully you enjoy it! Next chapter.
