Suddenly, they heard a chair fall on the floor. They looked where the sound came from.

Y/N rushed to the table the girls were at which startled them. Y/N stood in front of them. Their eyes widened.
Y/N: Then Krista!!
Krista: what is it, Y/N? *Still surprised*
Y/N gulped: "L-Let me a big brother to you!!"
Everyone at the table couldn't believe what they'd just heard.
Krista: E-ehhh??
Ymir: Huh!? Oi!! What the hell are you saying!? Go away!!
Y/N snapped, realizing what he just said.
Y/N: shit!!!! Uhh sorry! I didn't mean to sound weird!! Honest!! What I mean is that, let me look after you, l-like a big brother!!

Krista's reply took Y/N and Ymir by surprise.

Y/N chuckles. He placed his arms on Sasha and Connie's shoulders getting them closer together.

Jean and Marco came running

They look to their side to see Eren Armin and Mikasa. They smiled and nodded.
Reiner: Then what about us?
Reiner entered the room with Bertholdt.

After a few days, the cadets are now training in the forest to use the ODM gear, almost everyone has no issue with using the hook and fly.
Y/N: Ha. Easy, again thanks to the pre-training I did before.
Cmdr: alright cadets! Now is the time I see you use those blades and slice the titans!! This will be performed by group! With each group consisting of 5 people. Now let me announce each member per team!
Y/N was team up with Marco, Sasha, Armin, and Eren/ Then Mikasa, Reiner, Connie, Bertholdt, Thomas/ Jean, Mina, Annie, Ymir, Krista
Cmdr: The team with the most points will be exempted from their duty for 5 days! Got it!?
That reward has everyone pumped up. Them being exhausted from training and getting to rest for the rest of the day without other duties, that really is nice.
Eren: Okay guys, let's do this.
Marco: Yeah, this is teamwork, the instructor said he'll be checking our cooperative skills, so let's communicate well, and let's attack titans at once so we can kill dummy titans faster!!
Y/N: Yeah!!
Armin: Y-Yeah that's right!!
Sasha: So who will lead?
Marco: Hmmm. Well, I'll try. But if this doesn't work out, please help me.
Eren: Don't worry!! We have each other's back!!
Marco: Alright!!
Cmdr: Now cadets!! Get ready!! On my mark!!
The teams now started to fly and perform, and each of the teams have different strategies.
Marco: Right, Eren and Armin, take that one dummy on the right. Sasha and I will take the front. Y/N take will take down the left, ready?
The team nodded. This repeats for several dummy titans.
Eren: It's working!! We get to take down these shits!!
Sasha: this is not as hard as I thought!!
They manage to take down several titans.
Y/N: Hmmm. This isn't right... Wait guys!! Let's gather for a moment!!

Y/N: You see... The instructor said the top team will be determined by how many points we got. Not how many titans we takedown. That means if we all only attack the nape then we only get the points for the nape.
Armin: That's right!! Remember there are other weak spots on the titan!!
Y/N: Right, we only have limited dummies. All teams will be fighting for the remaining ones later. We have to get the best of each titan to get all the points.
Marco: Oh my... I never thought about that. I was so focused on taking it down, the pressure took over me.

Marco: W-well thank you! But this time, let's have Y/N as the leader, we also have to test each other's leadership, is that fine Y/N?

Each time we spot a dummy each team will switch sides. For now, the left side will be Sasha and Eren. Then, later on, each one of you will have a chance to go for the nape so I want you to give everything you got! Remember the more synchronize we are, the more time we can save, so let's communicate well! Understood!?

Y/N: now get in position and let's kick these titans!!
Y/N plan went well, the members managed to do their own tasks. Their circulation went smooth as well, getting the best out of the titan dummies. Everyone got the chance to slice a titan's nape.
The commander has been taking his time to analyze and monitor each cadet's performance.
Cmdr: I see.
Mikasa Ackerman, her strength and skill are not in doubt, but her communication skill is, she can manage to take down multiple titans on her own which made it easier for the others.
Jean Kirschtein, although thick-headed, he can manage people to listen to him and take the lead but can be clumsy at times.
Armin Arlert, is a no-go at killing titans but academically excellent, his brain can be useful when it comes to stressful situations.
Y/N L/N, I don't know how he can perform like that, making everything look easy. He really sure got skills. With different levels of skills his members he has, he managed to sort things out and find a solution without leaving anyone behind. That's a good start.
Eren: Alright!! *panting* That's all of it!! We did it guys!!!
Marco: *panting* You're right!! Thanks to everyone!! And Y/N you did great leading us!!
Marco put a hand on your shoulder
Y/N: Hehehe we all did great, we manage to perform well. Good job team!!!
You then pull each other close together, placing your arm on their shoulder. No one resisted and they all smile at each other. Y/N was startled a bit when he saw Armin staring at him again.
Y/N: Armin? What's up?
Armin snapped. "Ah uhm. It's just that Y/N is really good, you got to bring everyone to cooperate and get closer not just in training. But in our free time, too!
Eren: Right!! You also got grumpy Ymir to join us last time!!
Armin: Yeah Annie, too.
Sasha: Giant really is something!!!
Y/N: You guys... you flatter me too much!!
Marco: Haha don't tell me you're tearing up again?
Everyone chuckled.
Cmdr: Alright! I'll now announce the top team! Team Mikasa and Team Y/N manage to get the highest points!! Since it's a tie, I will make it just 3 days duty-free for you. Well done cadets!!!!
The cadets started to cheer each other.
Cmdr: Now, we still have 20 minutes before dismissal, I want you to train individually and improve using your ODM gear!! Now, get going!!

Ymir: Hey wait.
Y/N looked back at Ymir, "What is it?"

After dinner. Everyone starts leaving the mess hall and getting ready for bed.

The two chuckled. You rolled your eyes. Then finally Mikasa looks at the three of you, and she stands up.

The two went from laughing to frozen in shock, the three of you couldn't believe what you just heard. Mouths wide open.

Connie: Wait, just him? Oh, I see, then we'll be leaving now. Let's go, Jean.

The two raised their eyebrows at Y/N. He looked at them nervously. The two left, Y/N and Mikasa sit at the table next to them.

Mikasa: Well, you mentioned things about my last name. I just wanna ask you if there's more you know since I don't have much knowledge about it. I'd appreciate it if you'd share it with me.

Mikasa: No, they're dead. They were killed by bandits when I was little. Eren and his father rescued and adopted me.

They gather attention. Everyone starts to surround them.
Annie started to position herself in a fighting stance. Y/N did the same. Wish me luck. Y/N was the first one to attack. Annie almost got hit but she managed to dodge.
Annie: He's fast considering his height.
Y/N attacked again, all Annie did was dodge. This went on for several minutes.
Y/N: Tsk! I can't even get near her! *panting* And why is she not attac-ssshiit!"
Annie kicked him but he quickly grabbed her foot making Annie freeze. "Got you!"
Annie: "Don't think so."
She twisted her body, lifting herself and using her other foot to kick the side of his head. Y/N covers his head with his hands but still made him falls to the ground
Y/N: Ow!!!!
Annie: Just give up already.
Y/N: My head!!! Ow!!!
He looked at Annie who was looking down at him. This time, Annie decided to attack first.
Y/N: There's no other choice.
He waited for Annie to get closer... He was acting being dizzy and not being able to get up. When she was about a meter away, he stood up making Annie surprised, he then also charged at her. He took the advantage of having longer hands, he changed his movement to mislead Annie then quickly grabbed her by the throat, lifting her and throwing her on the ground.

Annie: Nnhg!
Everyone watching was stunned. No one saying a word. Their jaw dropped.
Without wasting time, he grabbed her hands and pinned them. Annie tried her best to fight back but couldn't concentrate because Y/N is choking her. Annie keeps resisting.
Y/N: Just say the word, Annie.
Annie: Nhgg! N-not gonna happen.
Annie starts to kick Y/N's body multiple times.
Y/N: Ow! Ow!! Geez!!!
She continues to kick him.
Y/N: You sure don't miss leg days, huh.
Several kicks made him move out of position. This time, Annie saw an opening and used her knee to hit his stomach. He stumbled back and let go of Annie. She once again kicks his head making him fall to the ground.
Jean: Shit!!
Marco: Y/N!!
Y/N: Dammit! What's with hitting my head!
Annie waited for him to get up. She positioned herself again with her signature stance.
Y/N: Right. She's a fan of heads. Now, I know. I won't let you get away this time.
Y/N stood up, positioned himself, and look at Annie trying to read her.
Y/N: I see. I just have to protect my head. *Inhale* *Exhale*
He then charges toward Annie,
Y/N: AAAHHHHH!!!
Annie readied herself.
Y/N: Heh! She's going for it again!
But his eyes widened. Annie lowered her body ready to kick which took Y/N by surprise. "Shit! Is she going for my body!? Huh!? No! What if!!! My leg!!" Her movement made Y/N hesitate. Annie stands straight again. Y/N's jaw dropped. "EHHHHHHHHHH!???" he's so sure what comes next. "I. Should. Have. Known. Be-"

Everyone: WOAHHHH!!!!
Y/N: NGHHN!!!!!
Connie: Y/N!!!!
Marco: Y/N!!!
They ran to Y/N
Jean: Holy shit!!! You good?
Y/N: ...I-i can see stars...

You chuckled the two followed. Marco sighed. Your eyebrow started to bleed.
Y/N: But that hurts for real. I feel dizzy.
Jean: Here, let's get you up.
Annie walks toward the four of them.
Marco: Wait, Annie!
Connie: What are you doing? It's over! No need for more attacks!!
Annie: That so?
Jean: Yeah! Are you blind!?

Annie glared down at those four. "I couldn't knock you out, but remember I still got you this time."
Y/N: Don't worry, I never forget!
Jean: Fine, fine, you win, Annie.
Connie: Yeah!
Annie: ....Idiots
Jean: What did you say!!??
Marco: That's enough you guys!!
Y/N: she's smart and skilled. Or am I just stupid? Dammit. I should've worked harder.
Mikasa: Y/N, are you okay?
Y/N: Ah, y-yeah. Don't worry.
Connie: *Whispers* Go for it, man!!
Y/N blushed. "Uhm. Still up for hand-to-hand combat?
Mikasa: You're kidding, right? You look messed up. Go get that treated.
She started to walk away.
Connie: Damn no point today, huh.
Jean patted Y/N's back. "Better luck next time man"
Y/N hide his face: "That was so embarrassing."
They chuckled.
Marco: *Sighs* You guys...
