"Bitter, mad at me mad at my nigga" Zorrie mumbled as the music played throughout the car
Since the group really hasn't been brought back together yet, Zorrie and I decided to hang out
After all I knew she needed a shoulder to lean on since she had witnessed the tragedy with Kianna.
"Have you talked to Kyaire?" I asked looking over at Zorrie who was sitting in the passenger seat
"Not really, she been acting weird since Ki passed. My last time talking to her was at the dinner we had after Kianna's funeral" She spoke turning the radio down a little bit
We all tried to keep in touch within the circle individually. Everybody has talked just not as a whole. Kyaire was the only one who didn't do that, literally no one has heard from her. I found it weird, but I didn't wanna overthink it.
"Maybe she just has a different grieving process" I shrugged as I turned into the parking lot of Sephora
"You right, but still at least try to check on your friends. She not the only person grieving, she could've at least checked on Keem but she didn't even bother" Zorrie defended making me nod as I parked the car
"How do you know she hasn't checked on Keem?" I raised my eyebrow grabbing my lipgloss from my purse
"I talked to him a while ago, he said he hasn't heard from her" She said taking her seatbelt off
"Oh, he answered the phone for you?" I chuckled applying the gloss to my lips
She looked at me weirdly before she slowly nodded her head. "Yeah... y'all ain't talked?"
I shook my head no before placing the lip gloss back into my purse. "No, he got to a point where he would send my calls straight to voicemail. I wish I would break my neck to try to be there for someone who clearly doesn't want me there"
Zorrie looked at me with a shocked expression on her face. "I really wish you would've told me that, I would've cussed him the fuck out Chan"
Laughing , I grabbed my purse and keys opening the car door as Zorrie followed.
"Did he tell you where he was?" I asked locking the door before we started walking to the entrance
"No, I asked him how he was doing and he said he was ok. We stayed on the phone for literally a minute before he rushed me off the phone" Zorrie said rolling her eyes as we walked through the door
"Hello, welcome to Sephora. Do you guys need any assistance" A older woman smiled
"No ma'am, thank you though" I replied returning the smile
We walked to the makeup section to find the popular L'Oreal foundation that everyone has been talking about on tiktok.
"It's called infallible" Zorrie said looking down at her phone
I looked on the shelves until I finally came across it. Looking at the different shades I searched for one that matched my skintone.
"Zo, you need like a 124 right?" I asked looking over at her as she stared intently at her phone
"Yeah... but you gotta see this" She said with a shocked expression plastered on her face.
I gave her a weird look before walking over looking at her phone

"Oh my god" I whispered looking at Zorrie
"Chile, at this point" Zorrie said throwing her head back as she powered off her phone
"That's Sarai's baby right?" I asked looking at her
"Yes, I'm guessing he got a DNA test cause he told us that he thought she was Kelo's" Zorrie explained as we went back over to the shelf
"Who's Kelo?" I asked with a confused look on my face
"Keem's opp, they used to be really close but then some stuff transpired" Zorrie somewhat explained making me nod
"Well the baby is gorgeous" I mumbled as I made sure I got all that I needed
Zorrie side-eyes me as we began walking to the front. "Yeah, she's adorable"
We went to the register to check out which took less than ten minutes. Once the lady rung everything up, we paid and made our way to the door
"Have a nice day" The woman smiled
"You too" Zorrie and I said in unison
As we made our way to the car I noticed a familiar car sitting off to the side. I watched closely as a man with a dark hoodie walked over and tapped on the window. The person and whoever was in the car exchanged words before the man handed the person a bag. He nodded and quickly walked off.
As we finally reached the car, I watched as a woman lifted the unknown substance to her nose before the throwing her head back.
I didn't want to believe what I was seeing, but low and behold it was....
My mom
