Hello everyone, hope you all are staying healthy and safe during these times. 2022 is certainly going to be a busy year for me! Thank you so much for your patience an waiting, hopefully you are all still enjoying Queen B.

This took a quite a bit of thought for me for the performances, so hopefully I have done a good enough job for all of you!

Here is the next chapter!

~~~
Elegant and luxurious.
Those are the two words which come to mind when entering the Belvoire campus for its Open Day.
Belvoire have been preparing for the Open Day for a whole now, and one felt it was already set up three days ago but obviously the private University had other plans for its preparation. It is almost astounding on how the University was transformed in the last three days. Going to class was almost like walking through a museum with priceless exhibits and areas with how delicate the university was being presented.
Belvoire is by no means a shabby looking university. The wealth of it comes off in intense waves, likely due to the rich clientele who send their own children to the University for the best education that Seoul had to offer.
And while it looked pretty on the outside, it still can't hide the ugly internal network.
While the rich kids have been obnoxious as is all year, its seems that Open Day has reminded them just how much socially superior they are to the poor students and there has been a surge of incidents consisting of rich kids and poor kids. Lisa recalls quite a few she has in seen in the past three days, some that she even stepped in to try stop with how ridiculous or cruel it was becoming.
Most notably, Irene has been the insinuator most of the time, along with newbie Queen B, Tzuyu Chou. Lisa doesn't know what has crawled up Irene's ass and died but she has been throat cutting for a while now, even more so than Jennie usually is as the brunette has been focusing a lot more on her solo performance than reminding Belvoire students of her social superiority. Lisa doesn't know what it is that is on Irene's mind, but the black-haired beauty has become a downright pain for everyone in Belvoire.
She has become petty almost in a sense, taking her frustrations out on any poor student who walks past her. Some of the incidents that she has involved in even make from the most innocent of gestures, such as sneezing when someone was walking past her. Even her friends looked at her on confusion when she started a fight with a poor student again, Yeri and Joy looking at Irene in concern the one time when she was completely ripping apart a first-year couple who were having a picnic outside at one of the benches before Irene all but climbed into them.
"Just what the hell is wrong of you? Just why do you have to barge in and ruin everyone else's' day just because you are having a shitty one? What's the matter? Wake up alone on the wrong side of the bed?"
While being glared at by Irene is nothing new that Lisa has experienced, she couldn't help but notice the slight tremble which Irene on her lips. While she has expertly mastered a cold mask for the public, Lisa couldn't help but believe that she saw a crack in it as her eyes fluttered rapidly and she swore that she saw tears forming in the corner of her eyes.
But whatever supposed tears that Lisa saw quickly disappeared as Irene all but scoffed and stormed away from the scene, leaving behind flustered friends as they looked at Lisa and back at Irene before quickly following after her, not even bothering to give their own final quips to the crowd or participants in the incidents.
Irene was acting out of sorts, and nobody had an idea of why she was acting the way that she was. Lisa had tried asking Jennie the one night when the two of them met up for a little movie date in the blonde's room on why her best friend was acting far bitchier than usual, but Jennie was very tight lipped about it.
"Just a lot of things are happening to Irene, and she doesn't know what to do about it. That is all that I can really say."
Lisa tried prodding for another answer, but Jennie refused to say anything else, so Lisa decided that some things were just better to be left unsaid. Or in this instance...unexplained because she knew that Jennie wasn't going to say anything else on the matter.
But the closer that the Open Day got to Belvoire, the more nervous that Lisa got. It was completely warranted of course; as Lisa was relying on her performance to completely blow away the judges and the crowd who will be watching the whole thing. A literal traineeship was riding on this performance alone...it had to be good.
No better than good.
Astounding.
Dammit, it was nerve wrecking. And trying to go about life as normal as she could before the Open Day did not help at all. Not even the professors were into the lessons as they usually were, as they too were going to participate in the Open Day, and they clearly had more important things to do and plan for rather than teaching some rich stuck-up kids how to do work.
Excluding the humble, poor kids of course.
Though Lisa will say hanging out with her friends did help a bit. Chaeyoung was a fiery little cheerleader for everyone who was participating in the performances, and she even had a betting ring going around for people to place bets on who will come up top in the performances. She even has managed to catch the interest for some of the rich kids to participate in the betting and Lisa was surprised to find herself being one of the top contenders in the betting, quite a few of the students coming along behind her to whisper their words of encouragement.
"Come on Lis...I have quite a bit riding on you."
"Supporting you from the shadows Lis!"
"Fighting!"
"Don't tell Jimin I have betted for you; he will literally tear my ear off."
Lisa was actually surprised to find quite a few of the rich kids have laid down their money for Lisa to actually walk away with another victory. Practically every student in her photography class have betted for her and she was shocked for Taehyung to outright say that he was supporting her. He gave her a playful wink.
"You got to prove that us photography majors are much more than our pretty faces." He teased and Lisa looked at him in bewilderment.
"We are literally the ones behind the lens."
"Doesn't mean we are ugly ourselves."
Well that she couldn't disagree with. While she was completely enamoured with Jennie, she was not blind so she could definitely say that Taehyung was incredibly handsome. And he knew it too. Hell, everyone in Belvoire knew it. But he was happily in a relationship with Jimin and from Lisa's perspective of when she has seen the two men together, they were soulmates, and she was happy for them.
Despite some of the shit they both like to pull.
Aside from Chaeyoung, the friend group that she has made through her time at Belvoire also cheered her and Jungkook on. Though the girls are incredibly supportive, the boys couldn't help but tease Jungkook mercilessly as they made their own little private bets on him messing up during his performance. Though they stopped the joking around quickly when they were chased by the brunette himself.
Jungkook literally could have become an athlete if he wanted to. He is pretty fast.
Although jokes aside, there is one thing which Lisa has noticed about her friends. Or rather she should say what she has noticed about one friend.
Seulgi has been supportive of her and Jungkook's practice and effort being put into their performances, but Lisa was not blind when it came to her friends, and she could clearly see that something was bothering her photography friend. Seulgi is a sweet girl, and she has saved Lisa and Chaeyoung plenty of times when it came to homework and studying. But Lisa could see that something has been bothering the girl as of late.
While she hasn't been able to spend time with her as often as Lisa would have liked due to her practicing, she is close enough to Seulgi to call her one of her close friends and so that meant that she knew Seulgi well enough to know that she was upset. Her eyes have been a lot puffier lately and she has bags under eyes, dark circles which tells the blonde that her friend hasn't been sleeping well. Hell, even when they have been going to classes she doesn't seem as put together like she usually is.
Every time that Lisa has asked the raven about what was wrong, Seulgi always brushed her concerns off. She would feign that she was fine but even her façade cracked the second she tried to put it up. She was upset about something, incredibly upset, but she was tight-lipped about it. Chaeyoung and Lisa have shared multiple concerned looked when Seulgi wasn't looking, both worried about their friend but unable to do anything as Seulgi won't tell them a thing.
Though Lisa has noticed Chaeyoung whispering hushed words into Seulgi's ear and squeezed her shoulder comfortingly while shooting a helpless look in her direction. Chaeyoung probably does know more than Lisa does...but just what was it?
Well...she couldn't really do anything about it.
You can bring a horse to a trough, but you can't make it drink.
Seulgi will tell her what is wrong when she is ready to. Lisa can't force her to tell her, so she just has to be patient and keep her focus elsewhere.
Most notably, on her dance today.
Waking up on the day of the Open Day was a mixture of emotions. Nervous, excited, and downright terrifying. That is what Lisa was feeling. She was close to not having anything for breakfast, but Rose caught her by the arm and pushed her to the kitchen counter where there was a late with sliced up apple pieces on them. Rose looked at her seriously.
"You have to eat something Lisa. I can have you passing out onstage because you didn't want to eat." Lisa looked at the apples in slight disdain.
"But I'm really not hungry."
"I don't care. You have a lot of energy to focus on today and you need at least something in your stomach. Just have the one apple and then I will leave you alone."
Lisa wanted to argue but the look which she got from the Australian told her that it was just safer for her to shut up and eat. So she did. She absentmindedly chewed on a bit of apple while looking around the room and then noticing the absence of a certain raven haired Kim.
"Where's Jisoo?" She asked, turning back to her roommate who was pouring herself another cup of coffee.
"Back at her dorm. She didn't stay last night because she wants to be there for Jennie this morning."
Jennie's face immediately filled the blonde's mind and Lisa automatically smiled, but then she remembered about what day it was today. And now her nerves are back.
"That's sweet of her." She said, finishing her apple slice and picking up another. Rose nodded.
"She a naturally sweet person."
Lisa scoffed and Rose immediately glared at her.
"She is!"
"Rosie, she literally ate the last packet of biscuits three days ago."
'You weren't going to eat them!"
"Just because I wasn't going to eat them makes it okay for her to eat them! She has money, she can go buy her own! Leave my snacks alone!"
"Oh you are just being dramatic."
"Say that to my face you Australian bottom."
Rose paused, coffee mug halfway to her lips as she took in Lisa's words and the Thai waited with bated breath before bursting out laughing when she saw Rose's turn a remarkably bright red.
"Lisa!"
"Oh you cannot argue!"
"I-I can so!"
"Don't forget that our dorm isn't soundproof like the rich dorm. I. Hear. Everything."
"I-I..."
"Consider yourself defeated."
Rose responded by throwing a sweetener packet at her face, Lisa catching it immediately and laughing as Rose went impossibly redder. Despite her roommate being the victim of her teasing, Lisa found herself being a little less nervous than before, becoming a bit distracted from her lingering thoughts on what today was going to bring. She finished her last apple slice and stood up, sticking out her tongue at Rose as she began to walk away.
"I dibs the shower first."
Rose opened her mouth to argue but then sighed, shaking her head before taking a sip of her coffee again.
"Just don't use up all the hot water again. I want to look good today too."
"For your top?"
"Lisa!"
Lisa cackled as she sprinted towards the bathroom, thankfully not being chased by an even redder Australian and with nothing being thrown at her.
Note to self, tease Rose in order to distract yourself from nerves.
~~~

Packed.

That is what Belvoire University was. It was absolutely packed with students and visitors alike. Due to the Open Day being a very big event for Belvoire, classes were cancelled, and students were allowed to mill around the campus and with everyone who have attended the Open day.

Very much like during the Music Festival, Alumni's have returned to the Open Day and happily interacted with their past classmates or conversing with the possible attendees for Belvoire. It was quite a sight to see, and Lisa could clearly just which social class the Alumni's belonged to with the way they held themselves and the way that they dressed. The wealth of the rich Alumni' could be seen from a mile away.

But surprisingly enough, there weren't just rich Alumni's which have returned for the Open Day. There were quite a few Alumni's that came from the lower social class. And aside from their branding due to Belvoire's internal politics, the Alumni just looked...happy. Yeah, maybe they haven't arrived at the university in Jaguars and Ferraris, but they all just looked so happy...and successful. Hell, some even came with their families and the way that they interacted with their spouses and children, just like any normal family...it was nice to see. It made Lisa feel warm when she saw a father telling his young son about what he used to do at Belvoire while he held his son's legs to keep him balanced while he sat on his father's shoulders.

It was sweet to see. And it made Lisa smile to know that despite the problems that Belvoire had on the inside, the outside effects were proven to be effective as everyone clearly found a place for themselves in society and made something for themselves.

She had nothing to worry about when she eventually graduates.

The professors were the leading tour guides for the possible attendees and each and every one of them led the groups of parents and possible students around the campus while spouting interesting fact and advertising the university in the best way possible. But of course, they do leave out the certain...aspects of how each social group is treated differently in each class.

But just like how Lisa learned when she arrived, the others will too. Only this time there will hopefully be more fire to help them rather than to just watch them suffer like they all did when Lisa first arrived at Belvoire.

Club stores were set up all around, as well as charity stalls, food stalls and game stalls. It was seriously like a whole festival vibe, only they are trying to lure in students rather than get sponsoring. It was amazing on how well some people could pull on the charm and act like they were the most pleasant people in the world.

While most know for a fact that they are just working with their PR Personas.

But Lisa allowed herself to explore the campus for a bit with her friends. The performances were only due later in the day, once all the tours and orientations were done and the final addressing of the day made by the headmaster will be made, along with the final advertisement of the music and dance department of Belvoire.

Basically their performance was the big climax of the day, and that only did so much more to the Thais nerves, along with every other dance student.

"Lisa you've got to try this! They fried ice-cream!"

Chaeyoung all but stuffed a spoonful of fried ice-cream into her mouth, her eyes rolling back in delight as she let out an obnoxious moan which made quite a few heads turn in her direction. Lisa couldn't help but wince at Chaeyoung's reaction.

"Chae tone it done! That's just disturbing!"

"Its not my fault that this ice-cream is better than sex!"

Flashes of Lisa being tangled up with a certain feline-eyed brunette under some luxurious sheets entered Lisa's mind, prompting a small smile across her lips before she swiped them off and looked at Chaeyoung with a blank stare.

"You have been having some bad sex then."

"I'll have you know that I-"

Chaeyoung suddenly cut herself off, eyes widening and a bright red suddenly appearing all over her face, even to the tips of her ears. She clumsily shoved more ice-cream in her mouth and turned her back to the Thai, not continuing what she was saying. And that just begged for Lisa to start teasing.

"What were you going to say Chae? Come on, finish what you were going to say."

"Fuck off. No."

"Aww come on, you were praising the ice-cream so much, tell me."

"No!"

"Aww come on Chae, don't be like that. Tell me-"

"She said no Lisa, can you just leave it?"

Both Chaeyoung and Lisa turned to the raven who had remained quiet this whole time. Seulgi had her arms crossed over her chest and was practically hugging herself, the bags under her eyes were poorly concealed by some makeup and she practically looked like she was dragged out of bed for this. While she has been upset for a while now, this is the worst which Lisa has seen her friend. She looked like an actual mess and looked downright miserable.

"Seul, if you want to go back then-"

"I said that I would come with! I'm here so stop trying to get rid of me!" She suddenly snapped, glaring at the blonde who just raised her hands in defense.

"Sorry! I just thought-"

"Chaeyoung said she doesn't want to talk about it so just leave it. Stop trying to force an answer out of her and give her some space!"

Both Lisa and Chaeyoung stared at Seulgi in stunned silence, glancing at each other one to share a look. Seulgi hardly ever snaps at the two of them, even in moments of frustration, but clearly all the wrong buttons were being pushed today and the raven looked like she was one step away of actually exploding.

"Right...I'm sorry Chae, I was...just teasing."

"...I know. It's all good."

Seulgi just huffed and sharply looked to the side, looking at whatever was written on the menu at one of the stalls. Chaeyoung and Lisa shared another look, unsure on what to say until they were interrupted by the message ringtone from Lisa's phone. Lisa took out her phone and felt her heart flutter when she saw the message.

-My Queen-

Meet at our usual spot? I need to see you.

"Well um...I'm going to go. I'll see you guys later." Lisa said, pocketing her phone and beginning to walk away, only to be stopped by Seulgi.

"Just because I'm not going doesn't mean you have to." She said and Lisa shook her head.

"No its not that! I just...I need to mentally prepare for later. I'm nervous."

Both Seulgi and Chaeyoung looked at Lisa in silence before Chaeyoung nodded and reached out to hold Seulgi by the elbow and pull her closer to her.

"Sure thing Lis. We'll see you later. You better win this thing. I have a put a lot of money on you."

Lisa looked at her blankly.

"No pressure Chae."

"There is loads of pressure! You better win!"

"Oh fuck off!" Lisa said, turning around and hurrying away from her two friends with her middle finger raised and directed at the short photography student.

"There's the Lisa that I love!"

~~~
Vanilla filled Lisa's nose as she hugged the brunette closely to her body, Jennie's head tucked underneath her chin as she snuggled into the blonde. Their little alcove in the woods was still pretty well hidden from any passing students and Alumni and Lisa surprisingly found herself able to meet up at the usual spot without interruption.
Well, Lisa almost was tackled by Jackson when he was sprinting away from a man who was dressed in a fancy suit and holding baton who shared similar features as the rebel, no doubt his father. If you put the two beside each other, you would clearly see that they were father and son, but the contrast was heavily seen by Jackson's need to wear leather all the time, and his father wearing a suit and practically reeking of authority, as expected as he was the police commissioner.
Whatever Jackson did, it probably pissed his father off, but Lisa wasn't going to linger around and be used as a human shield by her rebellious friend, so she quickly hotfooted it out of there and left her friend on his own as he kept running away from his father who was also pretty fast for a man of his age as he gave chase to his son.
Jennie was already there waiting for her. Lisa swears that Jennie takes her breath away every time she looks at her because of her natural beauty. And she found herself once again becoming breathless when those chocolate orbs locked with hers and feline eyes were all that she could see. Wordlessly, Jennie stood up and connected with the blonde's body when she got closer and hugged her tightly as she tucked herself into the blonde's embrace. Without hesitating, Lisa wrapped her arms around Jennie and hugged her tightly.
They have been in that position for a while without saying anything. Lisa rocked the two of them back and forth and Jennie's hold on her only tightened and she pressed her nose against the blonde's neck and breathed, taking in the blonde's natural scent. Lisa was perfectly content just holding Jennie, feeling her own nerves of the day bubbling up but then relaxing as Jennie's perfume and arms around her calmed her. Lisa pressed a kiss to Jennie's hair line.
"Everything okay?" She asked, rubbing Jennie's back. Jennie sighed.
"I'm just...feeling a lot of things." She admitted, tracing her lips along Lisa's neck before pressing a gentle kiss to it. Lisa pulled back a bit so that she could look into Jennie's eyes.
"Did you manage to sleep last night?" Jennie nodded.
"Surprisingly yes. But...my dad messaged me this morning...he said he is looking forward to what I have come up with. I'm just..." She trailed off, her bottom lip trembling slightly as she looked at Lisa with a conflicted look.
"Nervous?" Lisa offered and Jennie immediately nodded, sighing before looking down. Lisa removed one hand from Jennie's side and used it to tilt Jennie's chin up so that she was looking at her again.
"Hey...you are going to be amazing. I know that you are going to blow away every single person in Belvoire. You're amazing Jennie. Everyone knows that."
While Jennie usually preened under praise, especially by those whom Jennie respects their opinions, Lisa could see that her words did not do much to calm the brunette for the upcoming performances. In fact, Jennie only looked more nervous.
So deciding to take a little more action, Lisa tugged Jennie close to her by the waist and walked backwards until she was sitting on the bench at their little alcove and tugged the brunette on top of her, making her sit sideways in her lap. She wrapped her arm around Jennie's waist to keep her balanced and laced her fingers with Jennie's with her other hand, bringing Jennie's hand to her lips to press a kiss to the back of it.
"Listen to me when I say this, Jennie Kim. You. Are. A. Talented. Dancer. You know that, I know that, Taemin knows that, hell...the whole bloody world knows that. Remember after we did Taemin's comeback with how many agents came after you? How so many just craved for even a second of your time? It wasn't just because you are a stunning girl, but because you are a stunning girl who has talent. You are so remarkable, so...everything. You change people with your dancing. You changed me with your dancing. And you are going to show everyone today that you a star worth shining onstage. You are going to win that traineeship and you are going to become a star performer with your name up in lights for everyone to see. You've got this Jennie and I am so proud of you with how far you have come with your dancing and as a person. I am so, so proud of you."
Lisa stared at Jennie the entire time and those chocolate orbs didn't leave Lisa's honey ones, not even when Lisa finished what she needed to say to her girlfriend. Jennie' lips were parted, and she stared so intently at Lisa that she swore that the brunette had become a statue.
And then she kissed her.
Jennie cupped Lisa's cheek with one hand while wrapping her other arm around the blonde's neck, keeping her close as she passionately kissed her. Lisa moved her hand to wrap both arms around Jennie's waist and hugged her tightly, returning the kiss as she tilted her head slightly and opened her mouth when she felt Jennie asking for entry. Their tongue met like they usually did, twirling into the familiar dance that they are both addicted to, and Jennie took control over the kiss as she took everything she needed from Lisa, all the love that the blonde had for her.
Lisa loved her. Damn she loved her so much. And all that she has learnt in the past few days about Jennie and her past...her love just burned even brighter for the brunette. The Jennie which she was in the past is different now. She is with the Jennie of the present. And with everything that she has, she will love the brunette. She will love her and show her that being with someone like her was not a mistake. She was not going to be a repeat for the brunette. She was going to be everyone for her, as long as the brunette wants her, Lisa will be there for her.
It was like time just stopped when the two of them were wrapped up in an embrace like this. Anyone could walk by or take a picture, but neither woman felt it in themselves to care. They needed this. They needed each other. And they were going to take what they needed from each other in order to be prepared for later.
Jennie eventually pulled away, resting her forehead against Lisa's, and panting as she gazed deeply into those honey-colored eyes which she has grown to love so much.
"I love you." Jennie said and the most beautiful smile grace the blonde face as she leaned up and quickly pecked Jennie's lips.
"I love you too. Are you ready now?"
Jennie nodded and moved the hand which was resting on the Thai's cheek to tangle itself in Lisa's blonde locks, tugging it slightly which made Lisa's eyes flutter shut in delight. Jennie smiled. Lisa loves it when she plays with her hair. Or to pull at it to be specific. She pressed a kiss to Lisa's forehead.
"You're going to win with me, right? You're not just going to let me stand there on my own, right?"
Lisa snorted and opened her eyes, leaning back so that she could look at the brunette with a raised eyebrow.
"I love you, but there is no way in hell I will just hand over the prize to you. I will be standing right beside you, reveling in the glory of winning."
"Just who is the cocky one between us now?"
"Oh still you. You're just influencing me."
"Oh so it is my fault now?"
"Yes. I blame you."
Both women laughed at their bickering before leaning in at the same time for another kiss, hugging each other tightly as they allowed their lips to overlap each other and begin their familiar dance. It won't be long until they finally had to perform, they were going to take what they could to calm down for their performance.
Their performance which was going to dictate the direction of their dancing careers.
~~~

This sucks.

This sucks a lot.

She could literally hear all the murmurs from all the students, Alumni's, and potential students and their parents as they entered the hall and when Lisa peeked out from backstage, she felt her head spin at the large amount of people in attendance.

Seriously Lisa? You have literally performed in a stadium with Taemin during his comeback and there were far more people in attendance then. Why the hell are you scared of this much?

"Shut up." Lisa said to herself, earning a few looks from the people who were backstage, but Lisa ignored them. She was rather focusing on making sure that she doesn't throw up.

She and Jennie spent a while in their little alcove wrapped up in each other's arms before parting ways to start prepping themselves for what was to come. She got messages from the back up dancers lent to her by her girlfriend that they had arrived, and Lisa had carried her outfit from her dorm to the Great Hall.

The Great Hall is massive, almost big enough to be a mini stadium itself. There was more than enough space for all everyone to fit in and take a seat, and there was also plenty of space for the judging panel who was obviously there for the dance performances.

Lisa was not that surprised on who she saw sitting in the three seats for the judging panel. Taemin sat in the middle, a serene smile on his face as he was typing away at his phone, ignoring the bickering of his two fellow judges beside him on each side. Tiffany and Taeyeon were arguing about something and neither of them paid attention to the awed stares they were getting from the potential students, so shocked to see the start-studded Alumni's of Belvoire.

Nothing better than to have famous Alumni's participating in Open Day. Practical free advertising. Because honestly...what kind of Open day has worldwide famous artists in attendance like any other normal visitor.

Only Belvoire, that was for sure.

But Lisa had to stop thinking about that now. She had to focus on herself. Or rather, how she was going to perform. Lisa could at least say she wasn't the only one that was nervous because all the dance students had arrived with their own preparations and all of them looked incredibly nervous.

Hell...even Kai didn't bother to say anything as he walked past everyone, lost in his own thoughts and his fingers tapping at her forearms as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Everyone was nervous. And that was a good thing. If Lisa was the only one, she would have thought that something was wrong with her.

Lisa found herself gravitating towards her friends in dance class, all of them bunded together like a pack of wolves lost in their own thoughts. She greeted them all individually with a hug, but even those were half hearted as they all seemed to be going through their performances in their minds and Lisa found herself doing the same. They did that the whole time until finally one of the backstage people approached them.

"Alright everyone. If you will please follow me."

All of them followed the person as they began to lead them away, Lisa noticing another person leading the rich kids in another direction. She caught the eye of Mina as they were walking, and she managed to spare a small smile to the blonde before mouth a 'good luck' to her before she disappeared around the corner.

That made Lisa feel a little bit better.

But the feeling of lightness quickly disappeared when they arrived at their guided destination. It seemed like it was supposed to a waiting room, but it practically looked like a storage unit which was roughly cleaned up for all of them. On one side of the room was a table with an open laptop on it which was connected to a charger near one of the charging ports. From what Lisa could see, it was showing the front of the stage where she saw the headmaster walking to the podium in the middle of the stage, a charming smile on his face as he began to address the class.

"Welcome everyone, I hope you all enjoyed-"

"What the hell is this?" Momo's voice suddenly filled the room, looking back at the stage person in shock. Everyone else turned to him with similar expressions. The backstage person looked at them somewhat sheepishly.

"Your waiting room."

"You expect us...to prepare in here?" Momo said, glancing back at the room in disdain before looking back. The backstage nodded slowly. Momo scoffed.

"And how about the rich princes and princesses? Is their waiting room a storage room?"

The guilty look on their face gave them answer and everyone one of them scoffed in disbelief. Of course things wouldn't be different, not even now. Its not like everything is relying on this one performance. Oh of course not.

"Rich assholes." Jungkook mumbled, though not soft enough as everyone heard him. And everyone agreed with the statement.

"I'm sorry...but we did set up the live streaming for you on the laptop, so you will be able to watch the other performances while you wait, so-"

"Hold on, did you just say live streaming?" BamBam interrupted, looking at the backstage member in shocked. The member blinked before nodding. And then everyone groaned.

"Why am I not surprised. Of course they would be live streaming this!" Mark complained, kicking the ground before heading into the waiting room to take a seat on one of the chairs set out for them. Everyone else followed suit, grumbling to themselves as they went into the waiting room and took their own seats. Lisa and Chungha was left standing at the doorway with the backstage member who awkwardly looked at all of them.

"Thank you." Chungha said to them, flashing them an awkward smile but Lisa could see that she was merely trying to be polite and was failing miserably. She was upset about the circumstances, and Lisa shared the pain with her. But there was nothing that they could do about it now. The backstage member nodded before clearing their throat to gather their attention again.

"Someone will come call you to come backstage for your performance. The order will start with one of you and then one of the others from the other group. So from all of you, the order will be this. Mark, Momo, Chungha, Jungkook and Lalisa." They said, reading off a clipboard which obviously had all of their names on it. Mark let out another disgruntled sound.

"Ah, so they are putting us first to make the rich kids look better after our performance. Typical rich assholes." Mark grumbled, leaning his head back against the chair and sighing before turning to the laptop to listen to the headmaster finish of his speech.

The backstage member looked at them helplessly before Lisa reached out and patted them on the shoulder with a tight smile.

"Thank you for telling us. How long until we start?" The backstage member looked at their watch.

"About twenty minutes."

Mark choked in the background, staring at the member in shock.

"Twenty?!"

"Thank you very much. We appreciate your effort." Lisa said and the member smiled at her slightly before walking away, leaving them to their own devices to prepare. Lisa immediately turned to Mark and glared at him.

"No need to be a dick, Mark."

"I'm a dick? Have you seen our waiting room? The performing order? Do you see the unfairness of it all?"

"I obviously do but there is no point on taking it out on the backstage staff. They are just doing their jobs."

Mark scoffed and that earned him a smack on the head by Momo who decided to stand behind him. Mark turned around and glare at her but did nothing to retaliate as he was met with a glare from the raven-haired girl. Lisa sighed.

"Well, there is no point on lingering on it. We best just have to make do with what we have."

"Easy for you to say. You're not going first." Mark said before standing up and walking to a vacant part of the room to start warming up, stretching his muscles, and doing other movements to warm up.

Lisa wanted to quip something, but it was best not to. Mark was nervous and his nerves have probably increased tenth fold due to being the first one to perform. It was setting in now. It really was going to happen.

Deciding to follow Mark's lead, everyone began to warm up in the waiting room, being mindful of the little space that they had while they watched the live streaming of the Open Day and watching as the Headmaster TOP had finished off his speech and was now redirecting the attention to Taemin, who had stood up from the judging panel table and had walked to the stage to replace TOP's position at the podium.

"Thank you very much headmaster for your words. And now as we are all nearing the end of the Open Day, I believe it is time to start the event which I have been looking forward to the most, along with the rest of Belvoire...the Music and Dance competition."

The cheers in the Great Hall could be heard from where they were all waiting in their room, and it even made the laptop vibrate a little bit from the loud volume of it. Taemin smiled and raised his hand for silence and then indicated towards Taeyeon and Tiffany at the judging table.

"As I am sure that you have all recognised them, Taeyeon and Tiffany will be my fellow judges for the competition. They are Belvoire Almuni's and they are both excited and proud to have been selected to judge with me for the competition."

Both women smiled and waved at the crowd, who all cheered at the sight of the two celebrities but most especially by the potential students as they didn't realise that they will see such stars up close. Guess being a present student at Belvoire has dulled down that starstruck glamour a little bit since they can see them all the time.

"The dance department has come very far, and it is my absolute pleasure to be showcasing my student's brilliant talent to all of you. And to prove that Belvoire tends and contributes to their student's futures, the prize for the top four dancers of today's competition will be a traineeship to my own SM Entertainment Company. My students are aware of this and have prepared accordingly to earn their spots for the traineeship and I couldn't be more than proud of them for the work they have put into their performances. So now...without further ado...let's begin the competition!"

Applause broke out once again and like an anchor to the seabed floor, that reality of the competition starting hit every single dancer in their waiting room.

It was happening.

It all was starting now.

Mark suddenly went very silent and adopted a very serious expression as he warmed himself up, mentally preparing himself for what was about to come. Watching the action happening on the laptop, the backstage crew were busy setting up Mark's stage, which seemed to be several black boxes, boards and lights, almost creating an underground, edgy type of vibe. Mark then picked up the bag which had his outfit and went to the corner of the room where a screen was set up for them to change in to get dressed into his outfit. Just as he was finishing up, a new backstage member was knocking at their door.

"Mark, time to go."

"Right."

Mark stepped out from behind the screen and everyone couldn't help but stare at his all black attire. Black jeans with black boots along with a shirt with ripped sleeves. He looked both badass and sexy at the same time. Momo in particular couldn't keep her eyes off him and when he dumped his bag next to the chair he was sitting on, she snapped out of his trance and quickly grabbed him by the arm and pulled him towards her, bringing her lips to his ear where she whispered something to him.

Lisa doesn't know what she said but it seemed to make Mark relax a little as his shoulders physically relaxed and he smiled slightly before nodding at the raven and heading towards the door.

"Hey Mark." Jungkook called out, causing the black-haired dancer to turn and look at him. Jungkook flashed him a small smile and shot him a thumbs up.

"Good luck and break a leg."

"I hope you don't mean literally."

"Ah, if it means that I can win by default..."

Mark flipped him the bed, causing everyone to laugh, including Mark and then the dancer exited the room and followed after the backstage member. Chungha turned to Momo.

"What did you whisper to him?" She asked and Momo shrugged.

"Just some words of encouragement. He needs it."

"We all do." BamBam said, turning to the laptop to watch it prepare for Mark's solo.

Following BamBam's league, all of them moved to their previous seats and watched the laptop as Tiffany announced the name of the first dancer of the competition, and that being Mark. And like in a professional setting, the lights of the entire hall dimmed down, and everyone went silent as dark shapes moved onto the stage, obviously it being Mark and the backup dancers he had managed to find to perform with him.

Everyone in the room watched with bated breath as the stage began to light up, revealing Mark to the audience and the camera zooming in on him for the live stream as music began to play, starting his performance.

(The stage is set up to look like a club scene. Mark is the lead dancer in the video)

Damn.

He actually decided to one of Taemin's songs.

One thing which Lisa has learnt by watching any Got Talent or entertainment show, is that it is a very risky move to perform a song done by one of the judges because of how strict the judge will be on them. And for Mark to do one of the most well-known dances done by Taemin...hell, he had guts.

But no one could deny that Mark was a good dancer. Even though he did stand out much in class, seeing him as a soloist right now just showed everyone how talented he actually was. 'Move' was a hard dance to do, and yet Mark was making it look easy. It takes a lot of body control to be able to perfect the dance, so the fact that he was able to do it without missing a beat...it was amazing.

Once Mark had finished, all of them immediately clapped despite him being unable to hear them. It was just reflexes. Mark was amazing and they were proud that one of their own did so well.

Hopefully the judges thought the same. But that proven to be difficult as when the camera switched to look at Taemin, Taeyeon and Tiffany, none of them had any expression. They all just wrote some things on the notepads in front of them and turned to talk to teach other before looking back at Mark. Only then did Tiffany crack a smile at Mark.

"Wonderful performance Mark. Well done."

And that was all.

No feedback, no comments, no nothing.

Clearly, they weren't going to treat this like another practical. They were going to be as neutral as ever, even in front of the whole university and its attendance. They could see that Mark was shocked at their lack at reaction, but he quickly bowed to them and thanked them before scurrying off stage, his back up dancers following right after him which then prompted the stage lights to dim down again and allow the backstage to due their work to set up for the next stage.

Momo had decided to start warming up again by the time that Mark had arrived back to the waiting room, looking at them with a conflicted expression as he stumbled to his chair and sat down, groaning and covered his face with his hands.

"I did so bad."

"Nonsense! You were great!"

"The judges didn't even react!"

"They are probably going to be like that with everyone Mark. You were great, we promise!"

Mark looked at them with uncertainty, but they all promised that he did well. Because he did. Lisa really thought that Mark did well, especially since he did one of Taemin's hardest dances. It was by far no means an easy dance and his talents shined through in his performance. He was great and she told him as much.

"You were great Mark. You really set the bar for everyone." Momo finally said, walking behind him and hugging him from behind. Mark reached up and touched one of her forearms which were around his neck.

"...Thanks Momo."

The two dark haired dancers lingered in their hug before Momo finally released him, squeezing her shoulder gently before she moved to pick up her outfit bag and walked to the screen to change into her own outfit. And as Momo began to change, the laptop began to make a sound again and they all turned to hear and see Taeyeon the next student who was going to perform.

Nayeon.

From the whole time they had been talking and waiting, the backstage crew had been setting up the stage with quick efficiency, and now they all watched as dark figures walked across stage and went to their positions before the stage finally lit up and the music began to play, starting Nayeon's performance.

(Stage is set up exactly like in the video. Nayeon is Sunmi and she is just dancing the choreography. Not singing the song.)

Powerful and elegant.

Those were the two words that came to mind when watching Nayeon's dance.

As the same as Mark, people did not realise just how good of a dancer that Nayeon was until she was performing her solo. She had the spirit of a performer within her and watching her dance along stage with the backup dancers, perfecting every choreography move as she went, she was fierce competition, and everyone could see that.

Obviously with her wealth, she was able to put in a lot more in her solo than Mark did. Hell, most of the backup dancers used by the poor students are either friends they have made on the way or professionals that are being paid for them by others. Jackson actually helped most of them get dancers for their solos despite their initial refusal for him to do such things for them.

"You're my friends, why the hell wouldn't I help you when I see you need it? Just do me a favour and kick those rich assholes right off the stage."

But of course he always forgets that he is one of those rich assholes, but he always conveniently leaves that out.

The applause which Nayeon received from the crowd was deafening. While Mark had received from the crowd, Nayeon's was significantly louder and out of the corner of her eye, Lisa saw Mark slump down in his chair as he too realized that Nayeon's performance was already better than his. But it was just so hard to say that because the two of them had two different dances and if Lisa was a judge, she would actually struggle on marking them because of their contrasts.

But internally, she knew that Nayeon's was a step above Mark's performance, and she felt bad for even thinking that.

Watching the laptop screen, they watched as Nayeon smiled at the crowd and gave a directed wave at someone whom they couldn't see and then she turned expectantly to the judges who were busy writing down notes of their pieces of paper, whispering to each other as they did so. Then Taeyeon finally looked up and smiled at her.

"Thank you Nayeon. That will be all."

..

.

Huh, guess they are being equal in terms of treatment after the performance. Just as they did with Mark, the judges maintained neutral expressions and offered no feedback or criticism about their performance, and they could see from the laptop screen that Nayeon was shocked that they had nothing else to say the dancer. Nayeon also did react quickly enough like Mark did with his dismissal as she lingered on the stage, waiting for something more from the judges but she got nothing. All except Taemin glancing up and raising an eyebrow at her.

"Something wrong Nayeon?" Nayeon flinched and shook her head.

"No sir."

"Then please get off the stage and all the next performance to start."

Well, that is embarrassing. All of them couldn't help but snicker as they saw Nayeon blush red from the idols words before scurrying off with her backup dancers behind her, leaving the stage and finally allowing the backstage crew to start the removal of her set and the building of the next one for the next performance.

For Momo's performance.

Lisa turned and noticed that Momo had returned from changing into her outfit and her eyes widened in surprise at the raven-haired dancer appearance. She managed to do her hair up a bit, and she looked like an alluring vampire with an outfit which completely brought out her figure. Everyone else's jaw dropped when they turned and saw that she had managed to watch the last bit of Nayeon's performance.

"Wow Mo, you look..." Mark said, his jaw dropped as he looked at her in awe. Momo smirked at him.

"I know."

"Momo? You're next." They were interrupted by the voice of a backstage member who came to retrieve Momo for her performance, clipboard in hands and tapping at it anxiously.

Momo nodded and smiled at all of them, reaching out and ruffling Mark's hair before turning and walking out the room. They all immediately turned to the laptop and waited anxiously as the stage was finished getting set up and then listened as Taemin announced Momo's name as the next solo performance that was going to happen. They couldn't see anybody move onstage in the dark, but they did hear some people in the crowd cheer Momo's name, so they knew that their friend was somewhere onstage.

Finally the stage lit up, revealing a spooky, red and black castle setting and Momo was standing between two black curtains, arms crossed like a vampire in a coffin. And then the music started, and Momo snapped to life.

(Momo performing exactly like this)

Sexy.

Momo was sexy and powerful across stage and the concept just suited her so well. Momo was a brilliant dancer, and they could see it so clearly. Her preparation was clearly seen, and she has put in so much effort to perfect her dance that the whole audience could see it. When she finished her dance, they erupted into applause and all of them in the waiting room followed in suit immediately, Mark particularly being the loudest.

Momo looked every bit professional as she bowed to her backup dancers, thanking them for helping her and then turned to the judges with a poised look. And while they were as neutral as ever while they conversed with each other, all of them noticed the slight smile which graced Taemin's lips as he glanced at Momo as he was saying something to Taeyeon before making it disappear.

But they saw it and Mark pumped his fist in the air as he smiled with glee.

"She got him to smile! Yes Momo, you go girl!"

"You go girl?" BamBam repeated, smirking at Mark as he blushed and refocused on the screen, ignoring the smirks he was receiving from everyone else from his cheer.

"How cute." Chungha commented and Mark blushed even redder.

"Shut up."

"Hmmm."

They all turned back to the screen in time to see Tiffany flash a smile at Momo as the judges finished conversing with each other.

"Thank you, Momo. Great job."

Momo smiled and immediately turned to exit the stage, allowing the backstage crew to immediately start on the next set. When she eventually arrived back at the waiting room, Mark had launched himself out of his chair and hurried to her before sweeping her into a big hug, actually taking her off her feet.

"You were great Momo!"

Momo blushed but hugged him back tightly while looking at the others with a red face. Lisa just smiled and shot her a thumbs up while everyone else gave their praises to the raven. Momo uncharacteristically went red with all the praise, but they could all see she was enjoying it and didn't stop complimenting her even when she sat down on her chair next to Mark and waited for the next performance to start.

BamBam patted Momo on the shoulder as he walked past her with his own outfit bag in hand, walking to the screen to go get changed for his performance. And as he did so, Taemin announced the next performance.

Mina.

They were surprised with how quick that he announced as the setting up the stage took quite a bit of time despite the fast work of the backstage crew. But when the stage finally lit up again, they released why it was so quick.

It was remarkably bare, save for a few background props and two large screens which simply held images of Mina as the raven-haired beauty was in the middle of the stage with a red dress on, looking like the elegant ballet dance that she was. Her beauty was obvious the second you laid eyes on her and as the music started, her grace showed immediately.

(Imagine the dancer is Mina and the stage is set up exactly like this)

It was surprising that Mina didn't have any backup dancers with her for her performance. Maybe she took solo literally as she was the only one dancing. But watching her dance, Lisa realised that Mina didn't actually need dancers to fill up the stage because she was enough.

She was a ballerina at heart, and they could see that in her performance. A mixture of ballet and contemporary, it just fitted so well with Mina. And when she finished her dance, Lisa could see that Mina was content with her dance. She was being true to herself and dancing her favoured style and that was perfectly fine.

That was the beauty of dance. You were free to be whatever you liked with it.

And Lisa could tell that the judges liked at as they saw that Taeyeon didn't even bother to hide her smile as she gazed at the ballerina, smiling even when she turned to converse with her fellow judges. Taeyeon liked it, so that meant something.

"I'm happy for her." Momo suddenly said, surprising everyone.

"Wait, really?" Mark asked and Momo nodded.

"Mina is a great dancer and she told me that she was going to do ballet for the solo. I'm glad that she did. We saw her true self."

"Since when do you talk to Mina?" Asked BamBam, stepping out from the screen in his outfit.

Lisa's eyes widened when she saw her childhood best friend dressed a full pink suit. While she knew that BamBam was quite the fashion guru, especially since he does part-time modelling, she was surprised for him to don such a colour, especially for a performance. And it seemed that Lisa wasn't the only one who thought so.

"You like the colour pink Bam?" Jungkook teased, looking at BamBam's suit with a smile. BamBam glanced down at himself and shrugged.

"I look good in it."

"At least you know it." Lisa said, smiling as BamBam turned and winked at her playfully before turning back to Momo.

"So since when did you talk to Mina." Momo shrugged.

"Since our duet project. She and I actually have a lot in common. We talk almost all the time on the phone. I like her. She is a good friend. She isn't as bad as all the other rich assholes."

Well Lisa couldn't argue that. Mina is actually one of the most decent rich kids she converses with. While she does look like an ice queen, she is actually very sweet. And always quite playful with how often she sees her teasing Chaeyoung after Art History class and completely turning her short friend into a pile of goo. She was aware of her power over the short tiger, and she seemed to revel in it.

Good for her is all that Lisa could say.

"BamBam?" A voice called out and BamBam immediately began walking to the door where the backstage member was calling him.

But he stopped when he felt his wrist getting snatched and turned to see that it was Lisa that grabbed him. Lisa stood up from her chair and wrapped her childhood friend in a tight hug, squeezing him tightly.

"You've got this." She whispered and BamBam immediately hugged her back.

"Thanks Lis."

They both released each other and shared a smile before clapping their hands together in a playful handshake before he turned and left, talking to the backstage member as they walked together.

Lisa let out a nervous breath before she returned to her seat, anxiously biting at her thumb as she waited for BamBam's performance to start. Her friend was performing a solo song for this, and she was nervous. So far everyone has just danced to music, but BamBam will be the first one of the students to be including vocals in his performance, as well as his own choreography. BamBam was completely on his own for his performance. He was putting himself out there to be judged.

She was nervous for him. But also excited. Because he was finally going to show everyone just who he is as a performer. And she was so happy to be able to witness it first-hand.

When Taemin announced BamBam as the next act, Lisa's heart was already in her throat due to nerves and when she watched dark figures move onstage, she was on the edge of her seat as she waited. And then finally it started. The stage lit up and the unfamiliar beat of BamBam's song started, and finally...his solo debut began.

(BamBam performing just like this with vocals)

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

While Lisa and BamBam weren't related, she literally felt like a proud sister at the moment. BamBam was just so wonderful, and she could tell everyone was surprised at his vocal. BamBam was born to be a performer and while usually he specialises in hip-hop, he revealed a part of himself to everyone in his song and dance.

It was wonderful. So beautifully wonderful.

He had kept it secret the whole time he has been preparing, along with everyone else who were doing their own original songs and choreography and that just made it a whole lot sweeter to witness it right now.

And the judges liked it too. All three of them had smiles and they were nodding along with agreement with each other as they conversed. They couldn't hide how impressed they were by BamBam's performance and Taemin even let it slip with how impressed her was.

"That was...astounding BamBam. Thank you very much."

BamBam just smiled boyishly at him before bowing to the judges and leaving the stage with the grace that only he possessed. When he arrived back to the waiting room, everyone just rushed at him in a group hug, Lisa leading it as she hugged her best friend tightly.

"You were amazing Bam!"

"Damn you have been holding out on us Bam!"

"Dance King for the win!"

BamBam smiled at all the praise, and he hugged them all individually before taking a seat, laughing at all the praises and compliments that he kept getting. Lisa hugged him again fiercely.

"I'm so proud of you Bam."

"Thanks Lisa." He said, hugging her back just as tightly.

Eventually they allowed the Thai native to return to his seat and all settled down to watch the next performance, noticing that quite a few dark figures were working on the stage before the camera finally settled on the judges, all three of them masking their expressions before Taemin announced the next student to be performing.

Jimin.

Lisa was interested to see just how Jimin would perform as he was noticeably very graceful in his dancing, a contemporary style mixed with the hip hop that he dances in class. He was not like the average street dancer because of his graceful movements, almost having a similar style to Mina.

But Lisa did wish him the best because even though he was one of rich students, he was actually not that bad. Yes, he did not actively participate in the bullying of poor students like most of the rich students did, but he did not stop it either. He simply watched things happen.

But from she has learnt about him when they participated in Taemin's comeback together is that he actually is a very sensitive individual. His family owned a whole chain of restaurants, and he was set to inherit it, though Jimin absolutely adored dance. He was almost in the same scenario that Jennie was in. His heart was in dance, but he was expected to take over from what his parents were leaving him.

It was tragic really because Jimin was such a talented dancer. He just shined on the stage. Hopefully his dance today will change things for him.

Lisa and the other all watched as dark figures moved across the stage, getting into place. And then instead of the stage lighting up instantly, its actually slowly lit up on a particular spot on the stage, music starting its own tune before finally revealing Jimin with a mic set attached to his head.

He was doing vocals.

(Jimin is performing exactly like this with the stage set up)

Elegant and seductive.

Jimin's vocals were soft and soothing, high and graceful. You couldn't help but be lullabied and seduced by his voice and become hypnotised as you watched him dance. He did a perfect combination of the respective dance styles that he knows. Hip-hop and contemporary. He had found a perfect balance between the two and he danced along the stage with the grace of a ballerina but with the smouldering seduction of a tango dancer.

He was just a wonderful performer and Lisa found herself falling in love with his performance.

Jimin is one of the first rich kids to be doing vocals and Lisa is just astounded by that fact because clearly Jimin had the same idea as the rest of them had. They had to give everything to the audience and to the judges to see. They had to show their passion, their desire, and their hard work. Even if it means revealing their singing capabilities despite just being dance students.

They were being performers right now and they were proving to everyone just how talented they were. And Lisa has a feeling that Jimin is only the start of the potential performances that the rich students had and were going to revealed today.

The judges were clearly impressed by Jimin's expression as all three of them were sporting smiles, not even bothering to hide them. Tiffany even went as far to clap her fingers against her palm in a silent clap to Jimin, smiling widely at him and flashing him a wink which made Jimin smile in turn. Taeyeon clearly noticed the action and cleared her throat, flashing a look in Tiffany's direction before addressing Jimin.

"That was very impressive Jimin. Thank you."

Jimin thanked them and bowed his head to them multiple times before leaving the stage, his back up dancers following after him.

"Dammit...how the hell am I supposed to follow that?"

The stunned silence in the room was broken by the sound of Chungha's stressed voice, the dancer bending over her knees and holding her head up as she looked down at the floor helplessly, her body trembling slightly. Lisa immediately shot off her chair and knelt in front of the girl, grabbing her knee, and giving it a squeeze while doing the same to Chungha's shoulder.

"Chungha, you are just as good as him. Probably even better. Don't allow his performance to affect yours. You are going to be great."

Chungha glanced up at Lisa and the blonde was surprised to see tears in her eyes, the dancer actually trembling and looking so uncertain about itself it was actually heart breaking.

"Lisa...I don't know anymore." Chungha whispered, let out a shaky breath before looking back at her lap. Lisa looked at her friends surrounding them, and they immediately got the message. They stood up from their seats and came to be near Chungha, all giving their words of compliments and praise while touching her shoulders or arms in comfort.

"Chungha you are literally one of the most talented people I know. You are going to be great. I promise."

"You've got this girl; you will go out there and show everyone just how amazing you are."

"You are so talented Chungha, its actually insane. You are going to be the best one out there, for sure."

"Chungha, listen to me." Jungkook's voice called out to her and Chungha glanced up to look at Jungkook staring at her intently, a serious look on his face. "You literally started the dance club from scratch. You have led us to everything thing that we have done in the club. You push and help us in our dancing all the time. You literally help us with everything with our dances. Now it is your time to show everyone that you are the most talented dancer here. Poor, rich, it doesn't matter. You are fucking talented, and everyone is going to see that when you get on stage. Go give them a show they will never forget."

Chungha stared at Jungkook, clearly his words taking effect and Lisa squeezed her knee again before smiling at Chungha, moving to cup the dancer's face as she forced her to look straight into her eyes.

"You've got this Chungha. And you have so much support behind you. Fucking show everyone just why you are the best dancer in Belvoire. Prove that you are a performer, one that is to be taken seriously."

Chungha stared at Lisa before slowly nodding, earning a wide smile from the blonde as she removed her hands from Chungha's face and allowed the dancer to stand up and go get changed into her outfit, her body significantly less tense than it was before. Everyone else shared a smile and when the backstage member returned to call for Chungha, the dancer stepped out from the changing screen and blew them away.

She was dressed in a floral patterned dressed with a matching scarf tied around her head in a headband, with silver jewellery donning her neck and wrists. She looked beautiful and she looked every bit like a performer. Lisa smiled and walked to her and gave her a fierce hug.

"You've got this." She whispered in Chungha's ear, and she felt Chungha nod before hugging her back just as tightly.

"Thanks Lis."

Chungha smiled at all of them before walking out of the room, following the backstage member to the stage. Lisa and the others all then quickly returned to their seats and waited anxiously for the performance to start. When Taemin finally announced Chungha's name, they all were on the edges of their seats as they watched the live stream of Chungha as the stage lit up and music began to finally play.

(Chungha's performance is exactly like this. J-hope's voice will be the rap included in the song)

Chungha lit up the stage.

None of the club members were allowed to catch a glimpse of Chungha's choreography or even hear the song she was recording, Somi and Rose being the only ones allowed to hear it due to their involvement in its production.

And it was a wait worthwhile.

Chungha performer just like she was born to be on stage, which she obviously was. Her vocals were excellent, and her choreography was a mixture of so many dance styles. Tango, hip-hop, contemporary, it was wonderful. But the most surprising part for most was the sudden rapping voice of Hoseok.

While Lisa and Momo were aware of the offer that Hoseok made to Chungha a while ago, it was still surprising on just how well his voice fitted into Chungha's original song. It just sounded like it belongs to it and quite frankly, it made it sound so much better. Chungha was able to show more of her performance side during its playoff and the combination dancer between her and her backup dancers...it was just incredible.

It was so incredible that it actually startled the judges. Most specifically, it startled Taemin.

The crowd had burst into an explosion of applause at the end of Chungha's performance and when the camera moved to show the judges, Taemin's jaw was dropped, and he stared at Chungha in a mixture of shock and surprise. But also...awe.

While the judges have maintained their neutral expressions, it was made obvious which performances they were surprised by and Chungha's performance was one of the performances which clearly impressed the judges as both Taeyeon and Tiffany had wide smiles on their faces while Taemin continued to stare at Chungha in surprise. And then he smiled.

"Very impressive Chungha. Well done."

And to hear that from Taemin, the was a huge deal.

Chungha was all smiles when thanked him for his words and bowed to them, smiling at the crowd as they exploded into applause once again as she left the stage.

She was phenomenal. She truly was.

They all waited in excitement for the dancer to return, but surprisingly it took her a while to return to the waiting room. In fact, she didn't return at all, not even when the next stage was getting prepared for the next performance. Lisa and the others glanced at each other, confused at the lack of appearance of their club leader.

"Jung Hoseok."

Taemin's voice was the only voice that was heard when he announced the next dancer's name and they all turned to see the stage glimmering before lighting up, revealing Jung Hoseok in all his glory as he began to perform.

(Hoseok is performing with vocals. Stage is not a stadium stage to please imagine a large hall stage for him to perform with the platform)

It was...different.

Hoseok made his dancing look so effortless and his voice...there was something soft about it. Like an underlying current of a stream which can bring you in to seem and take you about a lazy river. It was...good.

His dancing has always been a standout in class and his solo proved just how agile he is as a dancer. Hell, even just his original song about dance was enough to tell anyone just how much dance was involved in his life. His smile just told the audience everything they needed to know about his performance.

He enjoyed doing it. He enjoyed performing the dance and simply being on the stage. His little adlibs just added to the experience of the performance and the crowd played along to him like violin strings to the violin. Hoseok had the ability to share his happy spirit to the others. And it was easily noticeable through the reaction of the performance.

"Thank you very much Hoseok." Tiffany said, sparing a smile the heir dancer before turning to whisper something in Taemin's ear, making the idol nod before writing something down on his piece of paper.

Hoseok nodded and bowed to them before leaving the stage, albeit in a little run which had the dancers chase after him.

Strange, wonder where he was heading off to.

"Guess it's me next."

Lisa's thoughts were interrupted as Jungkook heaved himself up from his chair and grabbed the outfit bag which was laying on one of the tables. Mark glanced at him and let out a whistle.

"Feeling any pressure?"

"Maybe a little." Jungkook said, using his thumb and finger to indicate the number of nerves that he had with a playful smile. Mark scoffed.

"Just wait until you get on that stage. It is going to become a hundred times bigger than what you are feeling now."

"Gee Marks, I feel so much better already. Thanks for that."

"That is what friends do."

Jungkook scoffed and that caused everyone else to laugh before he headed to the changing screen to get changed. While he did so, Lisa couldn't help but feel a pit of nerves to suddenly settle in her own stomach. It was literally two more people ahead of her until it was her turn and then...a whole lot of things are going to happen. She bit her bottom lip and stared blankly at the laptop screen to show the unlit stage and the movement of the dark figures setting up the stage for Jungkook.

Nerves are perfectly normal, she does know that, but the feeling of your gut twisting and eating itself up is not a pleasant feeling. She needed to focus and remain calm, but it kind of was hard to do that, especially since she was imagining all the possible things that can go wrong with her performance.

Like a breaking stage light falling on her, her outfit splitting during her dance, her voice breaking, her backup dancers-

"Chungha! Where the hell were you!"

Momo's voice snapped Lisa out of her depressing state of mind as the raven shot up from her chair and marched towards Chungha who had just entered the room. She looked a bit blushed and her lips seemed a bit swollen...

Hold on...

"I...was watching the show from the back. Sorry, I got held up."

"Held up by what?" BamBam asked, looking at Chungha in confusion.

...More like by who.

Lisa more or less had an idea of just what kept Chungha from coming back to the waiting room after her performance and it seemed that Momo figured it out too as she suddenly had a knowing look on her face which Chungha caught a sight off as suddenly she blushed intensely and tried to flatten her hair which looked a little tangled.

"Umm..." She helplessly started, glancing at all of her friends but more specifically at Momo and Lisa who both had twin expressions.

"I don't think it matters. She's here now and can watch the rest of the show with us." Lisa said, being the saving grace for her friend.

Chungha shot her a thankful look and the boys immediately tried to probe for more information but to no effect. So instead they started turning to compliments of Chungha for her dance, which was joined in by Momo and Lisa as they were unable to do so after Chungha's performance due to...well...her hold up.

Chungha blushed from the onslaught of praise, clearly her nerves transforming into pride as her dance was remarkable. But then BamBam pointed out that Hoseok actually featured on Chungha's original music, which began to prompt more questioning which even Momo and Lisa could save the girl from. But thankfully it was interrupted by Jungkook coming out from the screen.

He was dressed in white with a denim jacket, white ribbons attached to the sleeves. He looked so innocent, quite different from the usual street style he liked and the dark colours he wore. He looked like an innocent angel in the way. This time BamBam wolf whistled at Jungkook.

"Damn, look at this snack right here."

Jungkook scoffed at BamBam's words but smiled as he headed towards them, sporting a confident look.

"I'm excited for this."

"Again, like I said, wait until you are on that stage. That excitement will fade away and your little bit of nerves will become much bigger." Mark quipped, earning him a glare from Jungkook.

"Not helping!"

"Who said I was?"

Jungkook flipped him the bird, causing everyone to laugh. And then it became silent again when a backstage member came and called for the brunette dancer. Flashing them all a small smile, Jungkook followed after the backstage member and then everyone returned to their seats and waited for Jungkook's announcement.

The second Taemin announced Jungkook's name, cheers from the crowd could be heard, most specifically by female voices. Jungkook's popularity has only increased since the exposure that he has had through the comeback he participated in with Lisa and the others for Taemin, as well as the performances that he has put on so far.

It was actually quite funny because with how shy he gets whenever female students would approach him. But it was absolutely hilarious whenever he had an interaction with a certain social butterfly heiress who seemed to enjoy finding ways to annoy the brunette in many ways without any consequences to her.

A smile crawled along Lisa's face, and she eagerly waited for performance, knowing that it was going to be wonderful because of the hard work that she knows Jungkook has put into it. He was a music major along with Rose, so his original song was going to be impactful, she knows it.

Finally, after what felt like forever, light music began to play, and the stage slowly lit up to start Jungkook's performance.

(Jungkook' performance is exactly like this, although not on a stadium stage)

Euphoria...

How cliché to say but...Jungkook literally made euphoria with his song.

Such an innocent and yet passionate side of Jungkook came out in his song and he absolutely just glided along stage with his powerful vocals to add to it. It was just so utterly serene and passionate, and judging from the loud screams which came from the crowd once he had finished his song, it has bumped up his popularity even more.

Poor guy doesn't even know what is coming to him yet.

Clearly the judges have given up trying to hide their expressions as they were once again smiling at Jungkook and the look in Taemin' eyes could only that of pride, like a father seeing his son grow and witnessing him becoming a man. Although in this case, it was a professor seeing his student shine just like he is supposed to.

Despite Jungkook being poor and not having the resources offered to him like the rich kids, he just showed everyone just how much of a threat he was to him. He had genuine, raw talent which was hard to find in others and he just showed it to every single person in that hall.

He. Was. Born. To. Be. A. Performer.

"Well done Jungkook. Just...wonderful work."

Taemin was nearly actually speechless, and that was a compliment and a half to Jungkook as he smiled widely, causing a few more female screams to come from the crowd, before he bowed respectfully to the judges before leaving the stage, high fiving his back up dancers as he did so.

Jungkook must have run to the waiting room because he was there in record time and he was immediately met with fierce hugs from every single dancer in the room, Lisa hugging the brunette tightly for what must have been the fifth time, squealing as she looked at him in delight.

"You were amazing Kook! Absolutely amazing!"

Jungkook's bunny smile was blinding, and he was so giddy that he was actually bouncing on the stop. He looked so happy, so positively happy from performing. He almost looked like he was glowing from the excitement of dancing.

"How do you feel?" Lisa couldn't help but ask and Jungkook blinded her with his smile.

"It was...great! Man just being on that stage...it fucking rocks!"

"Seconded!' Chungha suddenly said, a wide smile on her face with her hand raised in agreement. BamBam raised his hand too.

"Thirded!"

Momo contemplated before shrugging her shoulders and raised her hand.

"Fourthed!"

Everyone looked at Mark expectantly, who just looked at them with wide eyes.

"What the hell? No! I hated my time up there! No ways!"

All of them immediately booed at him and Mark just flipped all of them off which caused them all to laugh. They each gave Jungkook another hug and praised him before returning to their seats, waiting for the next performance.

But as they waited, Lisa's stomach began to twist uncomfortably, and her nerves ate away at her a her turn to perform was getting closer and closer by the minute. She had to stay calm, she knows she has to. She has performed plenty of times before.

But this time is different.

Because this time she is performing her own original song with her own choreography.

That is nerve wrecking to anyone with a brain.

Lisa let out a nervous breath. She had to stay calm. She had to stay calm and collected. She will be fine. She has to be fine. She will get through this. If her friends could go through it, then so could she.

She was going to be fine.

"And the next to perform...Kai."

Oh this was going to be interesting. The so-called King of Belvoire has been in the rotten books for a while due to his attitude and blatant mean streak that has been exposed to everyone as of late. While he was a talented dancer, he could barely be qualified as a human being with how awful he can be to others.

Particularly to poor students such as the dance club who has experienced bad treatment from Kai over and over again.

They all watched as dark figures moved across the stage and waited until finally the stage lit up, revealing a very big surprise to everyone, especially to all of the dance students and the current Belvoire student body.

(Kai is performing with vocals with the same stage. His hair is also black)

Sweet Mother of Mercy.

Everyone else couldn't help but stare at the screen in stunned silence at Kai's performance. Not only did the so-called Campus King include vocals in his performance, something which he was heavily against since Jungkook and Lisa used them in their Troublemaker assignment in the beginning of the year, but because of the seemingly innocent concept which he had.

And he dyed his freaking hair.

The silver locks which everyone has grown so used to in Belvoire was gone, replaced instead with his natural hair colour. Black. And it looked so soft and smooth as he performed, covering his eyes at times as he glided along the stage and sang with a passion.

And it felt so wrong.

While to those who did not Kai, he looked like the sweetest guy in the world with a boy next door look who just yearned to love someone. He was an absolute heartthrob to those who have not attended Belvoire yet.

But to those who know the now raven-haired dancer, the performance was all but a fake persona of the heir. He was someone who specialised in hip-hop, seductive and powerful concepts and now he is trying something else entirely which is the opposite of his personality.

He was trying to con everyone that he is this sweet, talented performer who would never lay harm to others. It was such a lie. A major lie. And Lisa didn't know how she should feel about the performance.

But neither did the judges.

In fact, they actually looked confused. All three of them had furrowed eyebrows and Lisa could see that Taemin was actually tensing his jaw with how tight his expression was. He stared icily at Kai and wrote something down on his piece of paper before whispering something to both Tiffany and Taeyeon. They both nodded. Taeyeon then finally addressed the heir.

"Thank you Kai."

And then left it at that.

Everyone could see that Kai expected more but the heir simply smiled tightly and bowed to them before leaving the stage, his back up dancers following like loyal pups.

...

..

.

"What the fuck?"

BamBam was the first to say anything and then straight after he did, everyone immediately began shouting their opinions at the same time.

"What kind of the stunt is he trying to pull?"

"He couldn't be faker than a freaking Ken doll!"

"Just who does he think he can fool!"

Lisa didn't say anything. Instead, she remained in her seat and tried to steady her own heartbeat. It was her turn next...she needed to get ready.

Nobody noticed the blonde standing up from her seat and walking over to where her outfit bag was. She bit her bottom lip as she picked it up and walked towards the changing screen just as all the others had, her friends still screaming their opinions to one another. As Lisa unzipped her outfit bag and took out the masterpiece which Juliette had made for her, her mind began to wander.

Just what was Kai thinking of doing such a dance? It was the complete opposite of himself. It was strange for him to make such a change as well, even going as far to dye his hair in order to appeal more to the audience. While Lisa did see Kai from a distance earlier when they were being led to their respective waiting rooms, she didn't see his change of hair.

Then again, he was wearing a hat, so guess the element of surprise was ambushed on all of them.

Lisa sighed. She had to get her head in the game. She couldn't lose focus. She just couldn't. She couldn't afford to do that.

So while her friends argued with one another, Lisa slipped on her outfit, it fitting her like a glove as designed by Juliette. And afterwards, she grabbed the makeup bag, which was stored in the outfit bag as well, quickly getting the necessary makeup and doing it with practiced ease, just as Juliette had told her.

"You really expect me not to have your makeup planned darling? You are wearing one of my masterpieces, you will make it look even more beautiful with the right makeup!"

She should buy Juliette a coffee or get her a gift. That designer woman truly was a angel in designer disguise.

She heard her name getting called by the backstage member, her friends quietening down as they heard Lisa's name. Lisa just finished up her makeup and put it back into the bag before letting out a breath, fixing the two pigtails which she has given herself.

She can do this. She knows she can.

She then stepped out from behind the screen and was met with stunned stares from her friends, some of them even with their jaws slack and wide open. She immediately felt insecure.

"What?" She asked, awkwardly looking down at her outfit to see if she messed on it or not. But she found nothing.

"Lis," BamBam started, staring at her in shock, "You look so..."

"Fierce." Momo finished for the Thai, a wide smile on her face as she leaned back in her chair and lifted her hand to make a clawing movement. "Grrr, you go get them tiger."

"Momo!" Lisa exclaimed, suddenly embarrassed and that finally prompted reactions from everyone else.

"You look great Lis!"

"Damn girl, where did you get the outfit? Is that designer?"

"Bitch, where have you been hiding that outfit?"

"Umm Lisa...we need to go."

They were all interrupted by the backstage member calling for Lisa again, although even their eyes were on Lisa as they took in her figure in the dress. Guess Juliette's design products have worked in her favour once again.

"Yeah...I'm coming."

She stared at her friends before she started walking to the door, and she was met with wide smiles and thumbs ups from them as she left the room. She followed the backstage member all the way to backstage, where she saw her backup dancers were already waiting for her. Their eyes lit up when they saw the blonde and some even playfully winked at her when she got closer.

"Looking good Lis." One of them said, immediately making the blonde blush and smile.

Despite being hired to dance with her, Lisa actually found herself befriending her dancers and the whole time they have been practicing together, her relationship with them turned into that of friendship. They got her back just as she has got theirs and she trusts them with her life to help her make her performance a success.

"The next performance will be...Lalisa Manoban."

Taemin's voice sent butterflies in her stomach, butterflies of nerves. While it is strange that they are using her full name for the announcements, she supposes that it is appropriate given the original song she has written. After being given her mic head set and having it strapped on accordingly, she flashed a thankful smile to all the backstage crew who set up her stage as she walked past them onto the dark stage of where the biggest performance of life was going to happen.

She and her dancers got into place and Lisa closed her eyes tightly, steadying herself before she heard the countdown of her earpiece.

This was happening now.

She had to focus. She had to.

So as the stage lit up and music began to play, Lisa allowed her hard work to say what it needed to say.

(Lisa singing and stage set up exactly like this)

Like her body always did at assignments...she did it perfectly.

It is not easy to be able to sing and dance at the same time and even though Lisa had practiced her performance for so long, she still found herself out of breath at the end of it. She stared at the Judges playfully, making a L and an A with her fingers before blowing them a kiss, making all three of them smile.

It was an understatement to say the crowd was impressed by her. The hall had erupted into applause and seeing all the beaming faces staring at her, it was just overwhelming and exciting all at the same time. Because these faces weren't here to see one of the idols judging her, but her herself. Performing with Taemin was a completely different scenario. Fans were there to see Taemin, and she was just a backup dancer. But this time these people were seeing her and only her.

She was the star right now...and it felt great.

She understands how Jungkook had felt after his stage...she is feeling giddy. She just wants to perform again just for the fun of it, forgetting about the reason of why she was up on the stage in the first place.

Well, almost forgetting.

"Lisa...that was truly something else." Taemin said, his voice cutting her out of her thoughts.

The idol had a wide smile on his face and his fingers were laced as he placed his chin on top of them. He looked impressed, very impressed, and Lisa's heart fluttered in excitement at the impressed tone of his voice.

"Thank you, Professor." She said respectfully, bowing her head to him just like all the other performers before her.

Tiffany and Taeyeon sported matching smiles and Tiffany even flashed her a double thumbs up as she turned to leave, making Lisa smile as it told her more about what they thought about her performance.

"That's my fucking best friend!" A voice called out and Lisa immediately recognised it to be Rose's voice and she couldn't help but burst out into laughter as applause and cheers came from the crowd as they applauded Lisa again as she left the stage.

Rose must never change. She just loves the Australian to bits.

When she got backstage, she turned around and immediately went to hug her backup dancers, who quickly followed her lead and wrapped themselves up in a group hug with the blonde in the middle of them.

"Thank you so much you guys, you really made a difference."

"Nah, you would have been fine on your own Lis. You're fire onstage."

"Maybe, but you guys made it into a forest fire."

All of them laughed and hugged the blonde again before pulling back to say their goodbyes, walking off to go to the waiting room that all the backup dancers had apparently been assigned beforehand. Lisa was going to go back to her waiting room, no doubt to see her ecstatic friends but something made her stop. She turned and noticed the hard work that all the backstage crew were doing as they set up the last stage of the competition.

...

..

.

The last stage...which was Jennie's stage.

Lisa's eyes widened and she immediately glanced around to see if her feline eyed girlfriend was nearby. No doubt a backstage member had gone to retrieve her, the crew bustling about on stage to finish setting up everything for her.

It was Jennie's turn next. This was literally the biggest performance in her life and Lisa for sure knows about her father being in the crowd to watch her. As a matter of fact...

Lisa peeked out from backstage to look at the crowd, it being quite hard due to the whole hall being in darkness for the show. But she noticed the familiar feline eyes and powerful aura in the crowd when she was performing, and she knows for a fact she caught a glance of the very man who has so much influence in Jennie's life. The man she is trying to impress today.

And she saw him.

He was laughing at something which a man had said next to him, bending over himself and laughing with no shame. His eyes crinkled shut in an attractive eye smile, one that was so similar to a certain brunette that held the blonde's heart, and his gummy smile was infections. As well as genetic.

Seeing Jennie's father from afar...she could see the resemblance so easily. One could easily tell with one glance that Jennie and her father were related, having similar characteristics. He was dressed up in a dark suit and was neatly groomed, as expected of a very successful businessman. You could spot his importance from a mile away, he sat right in the front row and waited expectantly for his daughter's performance, a fond smile on his face as he waited.

Waited for Jennie.

Her girlfriend.

A gasp was suddenly heard behind Lisa and the blonde turned to see those very feline-like eyes that she recognised on Mr Kim's face on Jennie's face as they stared into the Thai's honey-coloured orbs. Lisa found her jaw dropping as she took in Jennie's appearance.

Red.

Very red.

And very sexy.

Jennie looked absolutely stunning. She was going to hypnotise the entire crowd with her outfit alone, and her makeup was done so perfectly...she looked like an ethereal goddess who just descended from heaven.

No.

She was Aphrodite who has just descended from Olympus.

The two of them became lost in each other's eyes, both having taken in every detail of each other's outfit and body fitted to it perfectly, desire churning in both of their stomach as their eyes communicated everything they needed to communicate.

"And finally our last performance will be done by...Jennie Kim."

Applause erupted right after Jennie's name was announced. Because after all, she was the pride and joy of Belvoire. The daughter of one of the co-owners of the University, of the man sitting right out there in the audience in the front row. Jennie Kim was a brand and a beauty...she was popular beyond belief.

Jennie's eyes fluttered, snapping herself out of her trance as she heard her name called and the applause that followed it. She glanced back at Lisa and Lisa told her everything she needed to know with her eyes.

You've got this.

Jennie slowly blinked twice at her, slow enough that Lisa knew it was deliberate. She thought that perhaps that there was something in Jennie' eyes, but then she realised that her girlfriend was in fact sending her cat kisses, just like a cat does when telling their owner that they love them by blinking very slowly in their direction. Lisa couldn't help but smile.

So cute.

Lisa found herself mimicking the action back to the brunette and Jennie smiled before turning to the stage and walking out onto it, adjusting the earpiece of her mic set to fit more snuggly as she moved to take her place on the stage. While it was still too dark to see, Lisa managed to find a spot at the front of the backstage so that she could watch Jennie's performance fully, butterflies fluttering in her stomach as she waited.

Jennie was going to perform the biggest performance in her life...there was no way she was just going to watch it on a measly laptop screen.

When the stage slowly began to light up and music began to play, Lisa's eyes remained glued to where she saw the glimmer of red catch her attention as Jennie began her solo performance.

(Jennie performs exactly like this with the stage set up)

...

..

.

Speechless. Lisa was speechless.

The whole performance...it was perfect.

So perfect.

And so Jennie.

The applause that erupted after Jennie finished her performance was deafening, a standing ovation as everyone left out of their seats and applauded the brunette for her most spectacular performance. It was the first time that she had ever included vocals in her performance...and it was perfect.

If people didn't believe that she was supposed to be a performer in this life...they definitely saw it now.

She was a star. An absolute star that shined so brightly onstage that it was blinding. Lisa was so proud of her, so absolutely proud. And speaking of proud...

A smile crawled along Lisa's face as she turned to see Jennie's father's reaction to her dance, and it was heart melting. He was standing on his feet, and he was clapping so loud that it was thundering. He was smiling widely, and his eyes were practically buried in his eye smile as he gazed at Jennie with so much pride in his eyes.

He liked it. He liked it. No...he loved it. Lisa could see it so clearly from where she was standing, and she knew for sure that Jennie could see that too.

The blonde then suddenly felt eyes on her, and she turned to see Jennie gazing at her from her place on the stage, her chest moving as she breathed heavily, tired from her performance. But her eyes were on Lisa, begging for some sort of reaction from the blonde. And the blonde just told her the truth. She smiled widely and made her hands into a heart, smiling widely at the brunette as she gave her a wide smile.

I loved it she mouthed, and the gummy smile she received made her heart flutter.

Jennie out did herself. She out did everyone.

Lisa knows for sure... that her girlfriend has just swept away with a win. Before she was Jennie Kim, and she did whatever she wanted and got whatever she wanted. And this competition was going to be no different.

~~~
This was it.
The moment they all were waiting for.
Every single one of the dance students stood onstage at the moment, waiting for Taemin to announce the four students that have won the traineeship at SM and to be the top two for each gender out of the whole class.
Lisa was nervous, along with everyone else.
After Jennie's performance, Lisa didn't even bother to go back to the waiting room. She wanted to be with Jennie as long as she could and if that just meant being able to look at her from a distance, that was fine with her.
This was a big moment for the both of them...she didn't want to be anywhere but with her girlfriend.
The judges took a while to converse, speaking in hushed tones with each other before finally allowing Taemin to announce to the whole hall for all of the students to return to the stage and stand in preparation of the final announcement.
And that is what they were doing right now.
They didn't even bother to stand separate classes; they were all just intermixed with each other as they stood and waited for Taemin while the idol thanked the hall for their patience and respect, they had during the performances.
But Lisa wasn't paying attention to any of them. Instead her eyes were focused on the back of the head of her girlfriend who was standing right in front of her between Nayeon and Jimin. Her girlfriend's shoulders were tense and glancing down at the brunette's free hand, which was clutching Nayeon's in a show of support, it was trembling.
She was scared.
And nervous.
And Taemin hammering on, making the waiting even worse, was not helping. Lisa wanted to help her, to calm her in some way. But they were literally in front of a hall full of people, standing in a group of people that only knew about the façade of Jennie and Lisa being rivals to one another. She couldn't comfort Jennie here. Even though she was hesitantly reaching out to just touch the brunette...she pulled it back. She couldn't comfort her, no matter how much she wanted to.
...
..
.
And then the brunette next to her moved.
Jungkook didn't even glance at Lisa when he grabbed her wrist and pulled her forward as he moved so that he was brushing against Jennie's arm with his own, inserting himself between the brunette and Jimin. Jennie stumbled to the side due to his push and turned to glare at him, opening her mouth to say something own to cut herself off when she suddenly felt a hand in her own.
Lisa's hand in her own.
Jungkook had swiftly moved her hand into Jennie's while he stood in between her and Jimin, essentially blocking the sight of their two holding hands from everyone else. Lisa's heart couldn't help but flutter at Jungkook's kind gesture and she immediately squeezed Jennie's hand in comfort to try appeasing her nerves.
And Jennie squeezed Lisa's hands right back.
"-Now without further ado, I believe it is time for me to announce the top four winners for the SM traineeship."
Everyone's attention snapped back to Taemin as he stood up from his judging seat and stared at the students intently, the answers that they were waiting for in an envelope which was in the idol's hand. All of the students stared at Taemin intently and Taemin slowly moved to open the envelope and pull out the piece of paper which had their futures written on it.
Jennie's hand tightly squeezed her hand, her nails digging into the back of Lisa's hand, but Lisa didn't care as she squeezed Jennie's hand back.
"The four dancers who have won the SM traineeship are..."
